(3) (4/1 +0%)Apieceovfortune |
4/1(+0%) | (3) Apieceovfortune 4/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Southwell on her penultimate start. Had every chance but ran below form when sixth, beaten 11l off 87 last time. Effective over 2m4f to 3m, acts on good to soft and good ground; inconsistent but fairly treated on her recent win. Catterick was disappointing but a 3m winner the time before and could bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (6/1 +0%)Dance In The Park |
6/1(+0%) | (5) Dance In The Park 6/1, Made mistakes but ran to current form when fourth, beaten 18l in a handicap hurdle at Catterick last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on any ground, though remains in poor form. Latest fourth in a Catterick handicap was remote and she's looking regressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (7/4 +0%)Briery Butterfly |
7/4(+0%) | (1) Briery Butterfly 7/4, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Ludlow last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m and suited by decent ground; in fair form and could find a bit more over this longer trip. Knocking on the door in handicaps and bred to improve again for this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (10/1 +0%)Jewel Of Windsor |
10/1(+0%) | (4) Jewel Of Windsor 10/1, From a yard that won this last year; outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Hereford latest. Wears cheekpieces for the first time; acts on good ground. Still early days but needs to show more. What could help is this longer trip (pointing background) and new headgear is tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (11/4 +0%)Somebodycomegether |
11/4(+0%) | (2) Somebodycomegether 11/4, Went clear and showed determination, improving under an aggressive ride down in trip to land a handicap by 4l off a 7lb lower mark at Catterick last time. Effective from 2m to 2m5f, acts on good ground and in fair form in both codes. Made all over 2m3f last time off 7lb lower; in form but there could be stamina issues. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (66/1 +0%)Precious Jean |
66/1(+0%) | (7) Precious Jean 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time but looks up against it and has yet to show anything of note. Out of form and too far out of the weights to consider; tongue-tie fitted after wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (80/1 +0%)Porridge |
80/1(+0%) | (6) Porridge 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell last time following a short break. Effective over 2m4f to 2m7f on heavy or soft ground but remains well below a winning level. Pulled up in her last two handicap hurdles and she's again a long way out of the weights. |

Somebodycomegether finally opened her account when successful at Catterick. She'll find life tougher raised 7lb and BRIERY BUTTERFLY is less exposed. The daughter of Getaway finished clear of the rest when runner-up to the progressive Princess Keri at Ludlow in November and Henry Daly looks to have found her an easier opportunity. A winner at Southwell on her penultimate start, Apieceovfortune could get involved if back on song.

Henry Daly's BRIERY BUTTERFLY (nap) has run well in her last three handicaps and she's bred to be even better over this longer trip.

(6) (11/4 +31%)Kings Champion |
11/4(+31%) | (6) Kings Champion 11/4, Promising debut over hurdles when 9l third in a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen most recent run; off a short-break; effective at 2m on GS; more to come upped in trip. Third in bumper/maiden hurdle; type to improve, especially now up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (3/1 -20%)Coco Masterpiece |
3/1(-20%) | (3) Coco Masterpiece 3/1, The yard won this race last year. Had too much to do when 10l third in a bumper at Fairyhouse last time. Wears a hood for the first time after a long absence. Effective at 2m on testing ground and may need this run. Useful in bumpers in early 2024; absent since but major player if retaining old ability. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (7/2 -27%)Sleedagh |
7/2(-27%) | (9) Sleedagh 7/2, Improved when second beaten 4 1/4l in a maiden hurdle at Haydock last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m on soft or good to soft ground, though the drop in trip may not be ideal. Runner-up in a bumper and two maiden hurdles and he's a leading contender today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (9/2 +40%)Saint Malinas |
9/2(+40%) | (8) Saint Malinas 9/2, Still green but ran to form when 8l third in a maiden hurdle at Carlisle last time. Trainer in form and returning from a long layoff. Effective at 2m4f on soft ground and has a fair chance. New trainer has done very well with stable-switchers in recent months; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/1 +10%)Cushendun |
9/1(+10%) | (5) Cushendun 9/1, Improved when second beaten 1/2l in a maiden hurdle at Hexham latest; effective 2m4f, acts on Hy, GS; more to come. Went close at Hexham last month on second hurdle start and could be thereabouts once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (9/1 +25%)Blofeld |
9/1(+25%) | (1) Blofeld 9/1, Ran to form when tiring late up the hill on hurdle debut, finishing 11l third in a novice hurdle at Carlisle. Effective between 2m and 2m4f on soft ground and should improve for the experience. Course bumper winner who could improve upon his hurdle debut third at Carlisle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (18/1 -177%)Solid Performer |
18/1(-177%) | (10) Solid Performer 18/1, Showed promise when 4 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle at Kelso last time. Effective at 2m4f on soft ground and has more to offer. British point winner who also showed promise on hurdle debut; might not be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (28/1 -12%)Canunclecani |
28/1(-12%) | (2) Canunclecani 28/1, Ran to form when second beaten 16l in a maiden hurdle at Carlisle last time. Effective from 2m1f to 2m3f on soft ground, with more to come now stepped up in trip. 2nd in 2 novice h'dles at Carlisle; another place is probably the best outcome to hope for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (100/1 -52%)Wherearethejudges |
100/1(-52%) | (11) Wherearethejudges 100/1, Ran well for a long way on a promising debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Carlisle. Effective at 2m4f on soft ground and should progress with experience. Has shown some ability but others possess stronger form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (150/1 -50%)Coylton King |
150/1(-50%) | (4) Coylton King 150/1, Below form when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Carlisle last time. Effective at 2m on soft ground, and the step up in trip should suit. Promising fourth in a bumper here but unable to threaten on his two hurdle starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (200/1 -100%)Rock On Max |
200/1(-100%) | (7) Rock On Max 200/1, Again ran to a moderate level when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Carlisle last time. Proven at 3m in points but likely to need more time to develop. Failed to threaten in his three Irish maiden points and same story in two maiden hurdles. |

Second on each of his three starts under Rules, with two of those placed efforts coming over timber, Sleedagh sets a fair standard and is expected to be thereabouts again. The vote, however, goes to KINGS CHAMPION. An extended 2m looked on the sharp side at Market Rasen so stepping up in trip should play to his strengths and progress is anticipated. Solid Performer, Cushendun and Blofeld are others to consider.

Having been knocking at the door in a couple of warm maiden hurdles, SLEEDAGH is taken to get off the mark.

(1) (5/4 +23%)Charlie Mason |
5/4(+23%) | (1) Charlie Mason 5/4, Travelled well but met trouble and was left with too much to do when unlucky, beaten 2l off this mark here last time. Effective from 5f to 6f, acts on any surface, and remains on a competitive mark. Unlucky in running in a stronger C&D handicap latest; of obvious interest at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (9/4 +36%)Em Four |
9/4(+36%) | (2) Em Four 9/4, Ran to form when beaten 2l off this mark at Southwell last time. Effective at 6f on a sound surface and just 1lb above his last winning mark, so can go well. Behind Charlie Mason here two weeks ago; solid 3rd on Sunday; others are more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (13/2 -30%)Invincible Melody |
13/2(-30%) | (7) Invincible Melody 13/2, Showed little from off the pace when beaten 3l off a 2lb higher mark here last time. From a top course trainer; effective from 6f to 7f and acts on the all-weather but needs to bounce back. 13-race maiden; ran okay over C&D last time but more needed to take this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (9/1 -29%)Merrimack |
9/1(-29%) | (6) Merrimack 9/1, Scored by 2 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Brighton two runs back. Below form up in grade off a revised mark when eighth, beaten 4 1/4l off 72 last time. From a top course trainer and best when making the running. Yet to win on AW but effective here and handicapper has given him a chance; yard run two. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (11/1 -38%)Distant Rumble |
11/1(-38%) | (5) Distant Rumble 11/1, Flattened out late when beaten 7l in a handicap at Kempton last time. Suited by 6f and acts on the all-weather. In moderate form but has dropped to his last winning mark. Not at his best in either run this winter but has still fared okay; on last winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (25/1 -127%)Express Train |
25/1(-127%) | (3) Express Train 25/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap at Kempton last time. Trainer in form and effective at 6f, but his mark looks high and he may have been flattered by his novice win. Well beaten in two handicaps following a wide-margin novice win on turf; still low mileage. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (28/1 -56%)Nazron |
28/1(-56%) | (4) Nazron 28/1, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Wears a visor for the first time; suited by 5f and acts on any surface, but inconsistent and has plenty to prove. Out of form this winter but drops in class and tries a visor; betting likely to guide. |

EM FOUR is the only C&D winner in this field having taken his maiden here in January last year. He arguably needs a career best off this mark but if he can build on last weekend's two-length third at Southwell, he has every chance. The Andrew Balding horses are running to form, suggesting Express Train could bounce back to his peak, although the first-time-visored Nazron might be the bigger danger.

This is a drop in class for CHARLIE MASON and he can take full advantage. Merrimack is feared most.

(2) (4/1 +0%)Uncle Al |
4/1(+0%) | (2) Uncle Al 4/1, Scored by a nose off a 2lb lower mark at Sedgefield on his penultimate start. Made mistakes and was outpaced when below form, finishing sixth beaten 23l off 85 last time. Best around 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent but the step back up in trip may help. Hit and miss but would have a chance if repeating the form of his win at Sedgefield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (6/4 +0%)Crac De Megaudais |
6/4(+0%) | (1) Crac De Megaudais 6/4, Yard has won the last two renewals of this race; every chance when below form, finishing fourth beaten 65l in a handicap chase at Plumpton last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m and suited by a sound surface. Course winner over hurdles, yet to build on a promising chase debut but fair mark on that form. Bled from the nose latest but capable of running well if the wheels stay on this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (12/1 +0%)Honneur De Sivola |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Honneur De Sivola 12/1, Never competitive due to a series of errors when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Southwell last time. Prefers 3m and acts on good ground. Out-of-form maiden. Still a maiden and his two runs after wind surgery leave him with much to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (17/2 +0%)Imperial Pride |
17/2(+0%) | (3) Imperial Pride 17/2, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Huntingdon last time. Effective at 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground. Well treated on old form but needs to prove ability remains. Has pulled up in two handicap chases since returning from an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/4 0%)Three Zambezi's |
9/4(0%) | (4) Three Zambezi's 9/4, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Exeter last time. Trainer in form and looks the type to do better now chasing over longer distances; not ruled out. Limited hurdler but was runner-up in a point and could be better over fences. |

UNCLE AL is the most recent winner, having scored over this distance at Sedgefield last month. Jessica Bedi's charge disappointed in a conditionals' race at Catterick subsequently, but he gets another chance with Aaron Anderson allowed to utilise his 5lb claim on this occasion. Crac De Megaudais struck over hurdles here last year and his trainer has sent out the last two winners. He's preferred to Imperial Pride of the rest.

The 6yo THREE ZAMBEZI'S has an awful lot to prove but the same is true of his four rivals and it's hoped he will make a better chaser.

(12) (5/6 +52%)Wilstar |
5/6(+52%) | (12) Wilstar 5/6, Ran as though something amiss well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Newbury latest; since had a wind op and also tongue-tie first time; usually held up; off a short-break; effective at 2m on GS; capable of much better. Very disappointing on hurdle debut; wind op since; could tap back into bumper promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (11/4 +58%)Sanilam |
11/4(+58%) | (10) Sanilam 11/4, Too keen but improved after a wind op when 7l third in a maiden hurdle at Kelso most recent run; second run after wind op; effective 2m, acts on S; more to come. Course bumper winner who was 3rd over hurdles at Kelso last month and is high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (7/2 +61%)Like Minded |
7/2(+61%) | (7) Like Minded 7/2, Outpaced, not asked a question, promising debut when 12l fourth in a novice hurdle here first-time out; effective 2m; likely get further, can improve when ridden more positively. Encouraging fourth on last month's debut over C&D and he's one to be interested in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (12/1 -336%)Locquirec |
12/1(-336%) | (8) Locquirec 12/1, Ran with real credit in two of three starts in France, including when third beaten 1l at Auteuil. Effective around 2m2f on testing ground and should go well fitted with a tongue-tie. Placed on two of his three starts in France and could play a leading role on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (20/1 -11%)Johnny Moonshine |
20/1(-11%) | (3) Johnny Moonshine 20/1, Showed some promise on debut when fourth beaten 8l in a bumper at Carlisle. Effective around 2m1f on soft ground and likely to improve now going hurdling. Has shown ability in a point and a bumper and he's not ruled out on his hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (33/1 -230%)Abbey Scope |
33/1(-230%) | (1) Abbey Scope 33/1, Jumped poorly and below form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Musselburgh last time. The trainer is in form, effective at 2m and on good to soft or good ground, but needs to jump better. Disappointing 11 days ago when not jumping well but he's a player on his previous promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 -450%)Largy Meadow |
33/1(-450%) | (6) Largy Meadow 33/1, Promising debut in a tongue-tie when runner-up, beaten 12l in a bumper at Ballinrobe on his only start. Effective at 2m on a sound surface but needs to improve considerably. Second in Ballinrobe bumper; contender if reproducing that promise on hurdle/stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (40/1 +39%)Whathaveyou |
40/1(+39%) | (11) Whathaveyou 40/1, Made mistakes, was outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a novice hurdle here last time. Returning from a short break and acts on soft or good to soft ground; may need more time. Not devoid of ability thus far but may be of greater interest when upped in trip in h'caps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (66/1 +0%)Zhanma Enki |
66/1(+0%) | (13) Zhanma Enki 66/1, The yard has won two of the last four runnings of this race. Again ran to a moderate level when fourth beaten 44l in a novice hurdle at Kelso last time. Effective at 2m and on good ground; should do better over hurdles but may need more time. Trainer won this in 2023 and 2024, but she's been well beaten on both hurdle starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (125/1 0%)L'arme De Bonheur |
125/1(0%) | (5) L'arme De Bonheur 125/1, Taken on up front and did too much too soon when well beaten in a novice hurdle here last time. Effective at 2m and on good ground; bumper form has been franked, though hurdle form remains modest. Runner-up in bumper on debut in May but tailed off over C&D on both hurdle starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (200/1 -100%)Johnny Two Jets |
200/1(-100%) | (4) Johnny Two Jets 200/1, Too keen and modest on debut when well beaten in a bumper here on his only start. Difficult to fancy at this stage. 33-1 and always towards the rear on last month's debut in a bumper here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (300/1 -100%)Plane Sailing |
300/1(-100%) | (9) Plane Sailing 300/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Kelso last time. Yet to show any worthwhile form in two starts and has plenty to prove. Tailed off/pulled up on first two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (300/1 -355%)Giveitsomewellie |
300/1(-355%) | (2) Giveitsomewellie 300/1, Irish Wells gelding and half-brother to Dollydeschamps, who was moderate at 2m3f. The dam was a point and 2m4f hurdles winner. Looks up against it on debut. Seventh foal; dam point/2m4f hurdle winner (RPR 129); he may be best watched on debut. |

Perth bumper winner Wilstar has undergone wind surgery since a disappointing hurdling bow at Newbury. With a first-time tongue-tie applied, it would come as no surprise were he to step forward, but preference is for LIKE MINDED. The JP McManus-owned gelding made a satisfactory debut over C&D last month and although it suggested further might be more suitable, he wouldn't need to find stacks of improvement. Largy Meadow finished second in a Ballinrobe bumper over the summer and is worth a market check ahead of his stable debut.

The blue-blooded WILSTAR impressed when winning a bumper at Perth in April and has had wind surgery since his hurdle debut flop.

(8) (7/4 +30%)Cardinal Point |
7/4(+30%) | (8) Cardinal Point 7/4, Scored by a short head off a 6lb lower mark here in October; ran to form but had too much to do after being hampered when second, beaten a length off 66 last time; suited by 12-16f and acts on all-weather; consistent since returning in autumn and remains competitive. Has record of 12331322 since returned to AW in September and she's a key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 +56%)D Day Arvalenreeva |
7/2(+56%) | (2) D Day Arvalenreeva 7/2, Quickened clear and ran to form back on the Flat, probably moved too soon when beaten 1 1/4l off this mark here last time; effective over 11-16f and on a fair mark; a big player if building on that return down in trip. Returned to Flat with good third here (2m) in November and she's respected back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (4/1 +11%)Hebridean Nomad |
4/1(+11%) | (6) Hebridean Nomad 4/1, Looked in need of a stiffer test when beaten 4l off a 2lb higher mark at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective around 12f and acts on all-weather; handicapper relenting, should be competitive. 0-9 in handicaps but he looks worth another try at this trip; dangerous off sliding mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (9/2 +10%)Different Tone |
9/2(+10%) | (7) Different Tone 9/2, Ran to form when beaten 3l off a 1lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time; effective from 12f to 14f, not proven at further, acts on all-weather; could be running back into form. 1-12 but he's on dangerous mark and was strong-finishing third over 1m4f latest; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (15/2 -114%)Gemmari |
15/2(-114%) | (5) Gemmari 15/2, Ran to form, just tiring late on when up in trip and beaten 8l in a handicap here last time; suited by 12f and acts on all-weather; consistent, though the handicapper may now have him. Dual Tapeta winner but was disappointing here last time and needs to get back near best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (33/1 -230%)Spectacular Style |
33/1(-230%) | (3) Spectacular Style 33/1, Scored by 12l off a 6lb lower mark at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start; raced too freely and did too much too soon after a slow start when sixth, beaten 16l off 67 last time; stays 14f, acts on a sound surface; inconsistent but likes to dictate. Bolted up at Wolverhampton but he flopped in follow-up bid over C&D three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (40/1 -60%)Forca Timao |
40/1(-60%) | (4) Forca Timao 40/1, Never threatened when well beaten in a handicap at Southwell latest; suited by 10-14f and acts on all-weather; out of form. Easy win at Southwell (1m3f) in April but he's struggled since and has plenty to prove. |

Gemmari was strongly fancied over 2m here last time out but, in a muddling race, he failed to give his best before finishing last of five. He can do better off 1lb lower over this trip, but may have to give way to D DAY ARVALENREEVA. A three-time winner over hurdles, she finished a length-and-a-quarter third in the same race and should confirm the form off the same mark. Cardinal Point is ultra-consistent but may have to settle for another place.

The vote goes to CARDINAL POINT who has form figures of 12331322 since returned to AW in September and that latest second was over C&D.

5/1(+0%) | (3) Quinta Brigada 5/1, Ran to form when well beaten in a 4yo bumper at Galway last time; returning from a short break and needs to improve now hurdling. Pedigree suggests he may improve for going over jumps on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (5/2 +0%)Sense Of Reason |
5/2(+0%) | (4) Sense Of Reason 5/2, Promising debut when fourth beaten 9l in a novice hurdle at Huntingdon, tiring late after racing freely; effective at 10–16f and acts on soft ground; should do better over hurdles when settling. Flat winner; made the frame at Huntingdon on the switch to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6/4(+0%) | (1) Eddie My Eagle 6/4, Improved from debut when second beaten 2l in a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield last time; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good to firm; form has taken some knocks but he is progressing. Consistent form in two bumpers and two maiden hurdles; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (15/2 +0%)The Den Master |
15/2(+0%) | (5) The Den Master 15/2, Ran to form when 12l third in a conditions race at Garthorpe on latest outing; faces a tough task here. Rules debutant whose point form has plenty of substance; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +0%)Victors Spirit |
15/2(+0%) | (6) Victors Spirit 15/2, Far too free and stopped quickly on poor debut when finishing down the field in a maiden at Wolverhampton; had been in good form prior in bumpers and comes from a stable in form so not ruled out. Runner-up in two bumpers but likely needs progress to go one better. |

(2) (50/1 +0%)Painted Wolf |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Painted Wolf 50/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Exeter last time; a point winner who has yet to show his ability under rules. Has achieved very little in two rules starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (100/1 +0%)Cosmic Spirit |
100/1(+0%) | (7) Cosmic Spirit 100/1, Has shown no worthwhile form, offering nothing on the Flat at 6–7f or in his runs over hurdles so far. Dismal claims on form; had wind surgery since last run. |

A rare runner in this code for Newmarket trainer Charlie Fellowes, SENSE OF REASON finished a respectable fourth at Huntingdon on his hurdling bow. That experience should stand him in good stead and he could find enough improvement to launch a serious challenge. Eddie My Eagle is another likely to be thereabouts at the finish on the back of filling the runner-up spot at Sedgefield. Quinta Brigada is worth noting on debut for his new yard.

Rules debutant THE DEN MASTER looks particularly interesting. Eddie My Eagle is second pick.

(2) (13/8 +35%)Ballyfort |
13/8(+35%) | (2) Ballyfort 13/8, Yard won this last year; scored by 3/4l off this mark at Kelso penultimate start; bit below form when third last time; effective 2m, acts on S, G; capable of better over fences. In decent form judged on his two Kelso runs this term; gained his hurdles win at Ayr. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (3/1 +60%)Rock On Jet |
3/1(+60%) | (1) Rock On Jet 3/1, Too keen, stopped quickly after wind op when pulled up in a handicap chase here latest; second run after wind op; effective 2m, acts on S, GS; must bounce back. Form dipped over C&D on reappearance but he's normally consistent and may rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (11/2 +27%)Southey |
11/2(+27%) | (3) Southey 11/2, Mistakes but ran to form on chase debut when fourth beaten 17l in a handicap chase here latest; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on Hy, G; capable of better. Heavy ground was possibly not ideal last time; retains potential for chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (11/1 +21%)The Jeweller's Pet |
11/1(+21%) | (5) The Jeweller's Pet 11/1, Failed to get home when fourth, beaten 26l, in a handicap chase at Hexham when tried in cheekpieces. Effective at 2m4f and acts on heavy and soft ground; the drop in trip should help. Has failed to transfer his hurdles form to chasing; something to prove. |

A confident vote goes to POWEROFJET, who was able to build on an encouraging chase debut to score at Newcastle. Martin Todhunter's seven-year-old is tasked with a step up in class, coupled with a 7lb rise, but he has scope for considerable progress. Ballyfort won at Kelso in October and is arguably the main danger, and Rock On Jet can be forgiven his latest performance when pulled up over C&D.

With further progress plausible, POWEROFJET (nap) is taken to follow up his Newcastle success. Ballyfort is second pick.

6/4(+63%) | (2) Thecoffeepoddotco 6/4, Ran to form when second, beaten 1/2l, in a novice at Lingfield last time; effective at 5f and 6f; exposed but this looks a good opportunity. Knocking at the door on Polytrack last month but likely vulnerable to the 3yos. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (11/4 -57%)Mad Dash |
11/4(-57%) | (6) Mad Dash 11/4, A bit free but improved from debut when second, beaten 1 1/4l, in a novice at Windsor last time; trainer in form and should progress if settling better. Two promising runs last July; more to come this year and she looks a strong contender. |

7/2(+13%) | (4) Cool Molly 7/2, Struggled to keep up with the strong pace when second, beaten 2l, in a novice at Wolverhampton last time but probably ran to form; effective at 5f and stays 6f with the right tempo; goes hard in front and is reliable. Not far off her best when second at Wolverhampton last month; e-w shout back on Polytrack. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/2 -29%)Chhota Saab |
9/2(-29%) | (3) Chhota Saab 9/2, Ran to form when third, beaten 2l, in a novice at Lingfield on his latest start; has a wide draw; effective at 6f and the drop in trip may suit though he could prove vulnerable in this novice. (1) (250/1 -67%)Lady Of Killarney |
250/1(-67%) | (1) Lady Of Killarney 250/1, Found little when fourth, beaten 15l, in a novice here last time; has speed in her pedigree but is yet to show much and likely needs more time. Well beaten in three novice runs as a 3yo; no appeal. |

THECOFFEEPODDOTCO has run well recently and was only beaten half a length into second over 6f at Lingfield. If she can break smartly once more over this trip, she may try to make every post a winning one. Mad Dash has room for improvement after only two starts and might be the one to follow the suggestion home. Mayflyer is a newcomer of note and could well get involved in the battle for the places.

Some exposed maidens on show and MAD DASH has the potential to improve past them. Chhota Saab may be best of the rest.

(4) (6/4 +0%)Overabottleofred |
6/4(+0%) | (4) Overabottleofred 6/4, Benefited from positive tactics and a longer trip, the margin exaggerated by a late faller, when improving to win a handicap by 21l off a 5lb lower mark at Huntingdon last time. Effective over 3m, handles heavy or good ground, and looks fairly treated. Unexposed 7yo who won at Huntingdon when last seen in April; respected on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 +0%)Mighty Fleur |
7/2(+0%) | (2) Mighty Fleur 7/2, Made her move too soon and probably found the ground too testing when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. (1) (15/8 0%)It's Easy |
15/8(0%) | (1) It's Easy 15/8, Scored by 40l off a 6lb lower mark at Bangor-on-Dee on her penultimate start. Went clear and made too much use of herself when eighth, beaten 12l off 110 last time. Effective at 2m4f, handles any ground, and remains in good form. Easy win at Bangor and she did too much too soon at Cheltenham last time; in the mix. |

OVERABOTTLEOFRED is lightly raced over fences, finishing second at Leicester twice before coming home 21 lengths in front at Huntingdon after being left clear at the last. Upped 5lb for that, she may have improvement to come on her return for the season. It's Easy was outclassed when eighth at Cheltenham but won by 40 lengths at Bangor in November, although that was on heavy ground and conditions may be very different here. Mighty Fleur could get the better of Jacks Touch for third.

The vote goes to the unexposed OVERABOTTLEOFRED, who won at Huntingdon in April and is open to more progress over fences this season.

125/1(-25%) | (13) En Avant 125/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Newcastle last time. Cheekpieces applied for the first time; effective from 2m to 2m6f on soft and good to soft; currently out of form. Well beaten on all three starts for new stable towards end of last year; cheekpieces added. |

FOREST BLAZE bounced back to form in first-time cheekpieces here last month. Beaten only a length in second, this extra furlong offers the prospect of further improvement and Mark Walford's charge gets another chance. Runner-up at Doncaster on his return from a layoff, Big Storm Brewing cannot be ruled out with any confidence, while Shadow Chaser can get involved with a reproduction of his good effort here in November.

The suggestion is BIG STORM BREWING, who ran a big race in defeat on his seasonal debut at Doncaster three weeks ago.

22/1(+33%) | (2) Riot 22/1, Scored by a neck off this mark at Wolverhampton in October; below form when 11th beaten 8l off 75 last time; effective at 7f, acts on the all-weather; has lost form lately but is back on his last winning mark, run style dependent. Handicap newcomer and he needs a close look on this drop back in trip; blinkers added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (33/1 -50%)Space Cowboy |
33/1(-50%) | (7) Space Cowboy 33/1, Never travelled after blowing the start and was well beaten in a handicap at Wolverhampton latest; returning from a short break; previously effective at 6f on the all-weather; yet to prove ability remains following a layoff. Has struggled since returning from a long absence in July and has lots to prove. |

Runner-up at Southwell a fortnight ago, Chola Empire won when last seen at this venue in October. He holds every chance, but it could be the turn of REVOLUTIONISE once again. Second over C&D last time, the veteran grey has won off higher marks on the all-weather in the past and Jack Dace's 5lb allowance further helps his cause. Me Tarzan just got the better of Arantes Nascimento when scoring at Lingfield and that pair are hard to separate.

Top of the list is ME TARZAN, who has a record of 22331 since September and hit a personal best when scoring at Lingfield last time.

(6) (2/1 +0%)Kelijoe |
2/1(+0%) | (6) Kelijoe 2/1, Keen but did it readily, improving when better suited by the track and more positive handling to land a Doncaster handicap by 4l off a 7lb lower mark. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft and good ground; more to come over hurdles in handicaps and looks stable first string. Came good with emphatic win at Doncaster last month and could easily have more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (8/1 +0%)Time Interval |
8/1(+0%) | (4) Time Interval 8/1, Found the ground too soft when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Hereford last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective at 2m but may not stay 2 1/2m. (3) (11/4 +0%)Escapologist |
11/4(+0%) | (3) Escapologist 11/4, Ran to form in first-time cheekpieces when fourth, beaten 12l in a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective over 2 1/2m and consistent, though current mark demands more; likes the track. Absent since spring but still has low mileage and is well suited by this C&D. |

(1) (12/1 +0%)Bluegrass |
12/1(+0%) | (1) Bluegrass 12/1, Scored by a nose off a 1lb higher mark at Southwell in October; effective at 2m and acts on soft but prefers good ground. In fair form until latest, with sharp tracks likely suiting best given his flat speed. Three-time 2m course winner but has mixed this season; yet fully to convince over 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 +0%)Hiconic |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Hiconic 14/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Effective around 14f on the Flat and 2-2 1/2m over hurdles. Handicapper has relented so not ruled out. Reverts to hurdling on workable mark but is too inconsistent to rely upon heavily nowadays. |

Trainer Stuart Edmunds won this in 2022 and he has two entered here, with Kelijoe in with a chance after he came home clear of his rivals at Doncaster over a fraction shorter. Upped 7lb, he will need to improve again to get the better of stable companion BLUEGRASS, who has won three of his four starts here and is worth another try at the extended distance with Murray Dodd claiming 7lb. Breezethroughlife is preferred to Escapologist of the remainder.

Bottomweight KELIJOE took his form to a new level when winning with authority at Doncaster three weeks ago and can follow up here.

(11) (6/1 -33%)Auchinlek |
6/1(-33%) | (11) Auchinlek 6/1, All but fell early and had too much to do when 6 1/2l third in a handicap chase at Carlisle last time; trainer in form; effective from 2m4f to 3m, acts on soft and good to soft; on a good mark based on hurdle form and better than that latest effort. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (10/1 +17%)Cave Hill |
10/1(+17%) | (13) Cave Hill 10/1, Ran to form in a new headgear combination when beaten 2l off this mark at Sedgefield last time; effective around 2m4f, acts on soft and good; generally in good form. Third at Sedgefield last month and should be fine back up to 3m, but 4lb out of the h'cap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (10/1 -100%)Wholly Boley |
10/1(-100%) | (4) Wholly Boley 10/1, Did it easily and improved down in grade for testing ground when landing a handicap by 13l off a 10lb lower mark here last time; effective at 3m; not fully exposed over fences. 13l win over C&D on third chase start; a 10lb rise may not stop him if he can back that up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (12/1 +25%)Joie More |
12/1(+25%) | (12) Joie More 12/1, Outpaced, rallied, and ran to form when 18l third in a handicap chase here last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m, acts on heavy and good to soft; has a chance on that latest run. Third over C&D last time but needs something extra if he's to get off the mark today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 +10%)Bushypark |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (66/1 -164%)Eveque |
66/1(-164%) | (10) Eveque 66/1, Scored by 2 1/4l off a 6lb lower mark at Hexham on his penultimate start; below form last time; suited by 3m+, acts on soft and good to soft; unreliable but remains on a workable mark. 22-1 winner at Hexham two starts ago but this 12yo was well beaten otherwise last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (80/1 -21%)Whispering Dancer |
80/1(-21%) | (14) Whispering Dancer 80/1, Poor chase debut in cheekpieces, finishing down the field in a handicap chase at Hexham last time; off a short break; major improvement needed. The slower ground could help but plenty to prove from miles out of the handicap. |

CELESTIAL FASHION returned to the fray with an impressive display at Carlisle on only her fourth start over the larger obstacles. Ian Duncan's mare won with any amount in hand over 2m4f and this extra test of stamina should play to her strengths. Wal Buck's will appreciate the return to softer ground and drops in class with a shout, while recent C&D winner Wholly Boley remains unexposed and could shape well again.

The mare CELESTIAL FASHION impressed at Carlisle and her pedigree provides optimism she can take this step up in trip in her stride.

13/8(+0%) | (2) Thanh Nam 13/8, Unwilling early but warmed to the task and ran to form off a good mark, landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time. Visor first time; effective at 7-10f and acts on the all-weather. A little quirky but consistent. Record of 42211 since wearing cheekpieces; respected assuming he takes as well to a visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (3/1 +75%)Three Socks On |
3/1(+75%) | (5) Three Socks On 3/1, Bit below expectations after being made too much use of and well beaten in a maiden at Lingfield last time. Bred to get a mile; big, strong sort and 7f may suit better. May take a step forward now handicapping; market support should be noted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (4/1 +11%)Reason's Power |
4/1(+11%) | (6) Reason's Power 4/1, Ran to form when stepped up in trip, beaten 3 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Wolverhampton last time. Cheekpieces first time; effective at 8/9f and acts on the all-weather. Consistent performer. Has shown positive signs in handicaps; possibilities if taking well to headgear. |

(1) (8/1 -7%)Aneirin's Sword |
8/1(-7%) | (1) Aneirin's Sword 8/1, Travelled but found little when tried in a tongue-tie, comfortably held in a maiden at Southwell last time. Stays 7f and acts on the all-weather, but only moderate so far and may have breathing issues. May improve now handicapping and upped to 1m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (12/1 -20%)Chinchin |
12/1(-20%) | (9) Chinchin 12/1, Ran to form on handicap debut when upped in trip, beaten 3 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. From a top course trainer; effective at 8f and acts on the all-weather; may have more to offer. Signs of improvement with fourth to Thanh Nam over C&D (handicap debut) last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (12/1 -33%)Lapidarist |
12/1(-33%) | (7) Lapidarist 12/1, Didn't stay after being made too much use of, beaten 8l in a nursery at Wolverhampton last time. Effective 7-9f and acts on the all-weather; mark easing and may improve if able to set easier fractions. Has failed to progress in handicaps and needs to raise her game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (18/1 -260%)Urban Law |
18/1(-260%) | (3) Urban Law 18/1, Had too much to do and looked in need of a stiffer test when beaten 7l in a novice at Lingfield last time. Trainer in form; wide draw; should be effective at 8f and may be more of a handicap type. Related to winners for her yard; open to improvement in handicaps; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (33/1 -106%)Flying Macs |
33/1(-106%) | (4) Flying Macs 33/1, Another poor effort when beaten 8 1/4l in a nursery at Southwell last time. Wide draw; effective at 6/7f and acts on the all-weather, but has lost form. Regressed the last twice and remains a maiden. |

THANH NAM followed a C&D success with a convincing victory at Wolverhampton. The son of Without Parole is taken to continue on his upward curve, despite the switch of headgear, and defy a 4lb rise. Urban Law must be taken seriously now sent handicapping for the first time for a top yard, while Reason's Power could take a step forward in first-time cheekpieces.

This features some interesting handicap newcomers and URBAN LAW is the first choice ahead of Three Socks On.

2/1(+0%) | (1) One Last Glance 2/1, Travelled well, possibly hit the front too soon, and ran to form when beaten a length off a 3lb lower mark at Wetherby last time; effective from 2m to 3m and acts on any ground; respected off 3lb higher. Career-best form when close second over 3m last month; tries a new trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/1 +0%)Stamina Chope |
9/1(+0%) | (3) Stamina Chope 9/1, Scored by 4 1/4l off an 8lb lower mark at Leicester on her penultimate start; ran to form when third, beaten 4 1/4l off 84 last time; well treated on old form; an outside chance. Ended last year in good form over hurdles; first chase run since June 2024. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (11/1 +0%)Annie Nail |
11/1(+0%) | (5) Annie Nail 11/1, Made mistakes but showed determination and may have won but for a late error when beaten 1 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here last time; effective around 2 1/2m on good ground; inconsistent but her mark is dropping and fair claims if stamina holds up. Form slumped after course win last spring but she ran well over hurdles here last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/2 +0%)Grand Sabre |
11/2(+0%) | (4) Grand Sabre 11/2, Outpaced and possibly unsuited by the drop in trip when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Leicester last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at 3m and acts on good ground; out of form this autumn. Won off this mark in May, his second chase, but safely held all four starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/8 +0%)Illogical Logic |
15/8(+0%) | (2) Illogical Logic 15/8, Rallied gamely and returned to form when beaten a neck off this mark at Windsor last time; trainer in form; effective at 3m on good and good to soft; inconsistent but recent form has been franked, a threat off an unchanged mark with longer trip a plus. Returned to form with game second over 3m in November; well worth a crack at this trip. |

Plenty of in-form runners to pick from but ANNIE NAIL stands out after her second over hurdles here under today's jockey. Due to go up 3lb for future races, she won't get many better chances, although her stamina for this distance does have to be taken on trust at the first attempt. Stamina Chope has won over 3m-plus and warrants respect after her Leicester third, but she is not as effective over fences and Windsor second Illogical Logic appears to be the bigger danger.

Back in form when second at Windsor in November, ILLOGICAL LOGIC might seize the chance to dominate from the front here.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (4/1 -14%)Young Jack |
4/1(-14%) | (7) Young Jack 4/1, Improved on his chase debut when beaten 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Kelso last time; trainer in form; effective up to 3m and acts on soft and good ground; more to come over fences. Clear second on last month's chase debut at Kelso and could have more to offer over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (9/2 +40%)Captain Butler |
9/2(+40%) | (6) Captain Butler 9/2, From a yard that won this last year; made mistakes and ran poorly on his chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Aintree last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f but needs to jump better. Lightly raced & could play a leading role if finding greater fluency on second chase start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (6/1 +45%)Milcree |
6/1(+45%) | (10) Milcree 6/1, Ran to form but well held up in grade beaten 9l in a handicap hurdle here last time; in good form prior; absent for very lengthy period; effective 2m4f-3m with cut; brings promise to fences. Promising novice hurdler in 2023-24 campaign; absent since but not ruled out on comeback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (6/1 +8%)Jipcot |
6/1(+8%) | (3) Jipcot 6/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time when returning from a long layoff; effective up to 3m on soft and good ground but has a bit to prove back chasing. Something to prove over fences but well handicapped on hurdle form and yard is going well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (7/1 +56%)Karafon |
7/1(+56%) | (5) Karafon 7/1, Up in trip and didn't stay when finishing down the field in the Stayers' Premier Handicap Hurdle at Haydock most recently; has something to prove back chasing. Drops back in grade for this return to fences but others have more compelling claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/1 +10%)Cloonainra |
9/1(+10%) | (4) Cloonainra 9/1, Made too much use of chasing the leaders when comfortably held in a novice chase at Cheltenham last time; off a short break; effective around 2m4f on a sound surface and better than she showed last time. Won on chase debut then faced tough task at Cheltenham; could go well back in a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (20/1 -11%)Johnson's Blue |
20/1(-11%) | (1) Johnson's Blue 20/1, Stopped quickly and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time; effective around 2m4f on a sound surface but needs to improve back chasing. Has struggled over hurdles on last 2 runs and didn't look a natural in sole previous chase. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (22/1 -57%)Great Pepper |
22/1(-57%) | (8) Great Pepper 22/1, Unseated rider in a handicap chase at Wetherby last time; effective from 2m4f to 2m6f and suited by plenty of cut, but unreliable and has had issues. Hasn't kicked on from 2023 promise but it's possible things will click again today. |

Junker D'allier has shown his best form over two miles but, with Sean Bowen back in the saddle, it wouldn't be surprising if he is at least on the premises if his stamina holds out. However, Irish raider CLOONAINRA is more proven over this distance and with this representing a drop down in class, John McConnell's mare shades preference. Captain Butler and Young Jack are others to consider.

Jimmy Moffatt has had a few horses run well at nice prices of late and a chance is taken on GREAT PEPPER. Young Jack is a danger.

(3) (18/5 -3%)Gladiadora |
18/5(-3%) | (3) Gladiadora 18/5, Won by 2l off a 4lb lower mark here on her penultimate start and ran to form when second, beaten a neck off 60 last time. Effective from 8f to 10f and best on a sound surface. Course-and-distance winner respected again. Won over C&D before a close second off this mark at Lingfield last month; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (5/1 +17%)Nebula Stars |
5/1(+17%) | (9) Nebula Stars 5/1, Quickened and held on gamely when landing a handicap by a neck off a 1lb lower mark at Lingfield last time. Effective from 7f to 9f and acts on the all-weather. In form and of interest up 1lb. Beat Gladiadora at Lingfield last month and he's only 1lb higher here; shortlisted. |

(4) (13/2 +46%)Rising Force |
13/2(+46%) | (4) Rising Force 13/2, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Southwell last time. Effective at 7f to 8f on a sound surface. In form, though the current mark demands more. Polytrack winner in August and wasn't beaten far on recent stable debut; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (15/2 -88%)Arthur Rose |
15/2(-88%) | (5) Arthur Rose 15/2, Well treated up 5lb and ran to form when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Lingfield last time. Effective at 8f and acts on a sound surface. Finding her rhythm and holds a good chance up 4lb. Has won at Lingfield last twice and is open to more progress; respected in hat-trick bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (12/1 -33%)First Encounter |
12/1(-33%) | (8) First Encounter 12/1, Ran to form but tired late after doing plenty early, beaten 3 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Lingfield last time. Drawn wide. Effective from 8f to 10f and acts on any surface. Hard to predict. In-form 5yo but he needs to find more to get back on the scoresheet. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (25/1 -257%)Adace |
25/1(-257%) | (7) Adace 25/1, Returned to form when landing a handicap by a head off a 4lb lower mark at Kempton last time. Effective from 7f to 8f and acts on the all-weather. Still on a workable mark and should remain competitive. Cashed in on a reduced mark at Kempton last month and she's respected back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (40/1 -233%)My Boy Harry |
40/1(-233%) | (6) My Boy Harry 40/1, Scored by a length off a 7lb lower mark at Kempton in October. Outpaced and hampered when eighth, beaten 7l off 55 last time. Effective from 7f to 8f and acts on the all-weather. In fair form until latest; step back up in trip may help. Went close at Lingfield on penultimate run and has claims if he can recapture that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (40/1 -186%)Vizzavona Lady |
40/1(-186%) | (2) Vizzavona Lady 40/1, Scored by a head off a 3lb lower mark at Wolverhampton in October. Outpaced and never threatened when ninth, beaten 12l off 62 last time from a wide draw. Effective at 7f on the all-weather. Improving filly who is respected. Lightly raced 3yo but she's been disappointing last twice and needs to bounce back. |

ARTHUR ROSE has flourished since joining Brian Toomey and is hard to overlook in her bid to complete a hat-trick. Her two wins at Lingfield were gained in a pleasing enough manner to suggest a 4lb higher mark is manageable while she is on a roll. Nebula Stars and Gladiadora fought out a finish at the same track and warrant close inspection. Rising Force and recent Kempton winner Adace are solid each-way options.

A competitive race in which the vote goes to ARTHUR ROSE who made it 2-3 for her current yard when scoring at Lingfield in November.

4/1(+0%) | (3) Getaway With You 4/1, Scored by 7 1/2l off an 11lb lower mark at Lingfield two runs back; ran to form when second, beaten 11l off 92 last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on soft and good to soft; thriving but the handicapper has reacted. 4lb higher than when an 11l second at Uttoxeter but can still run well in current form. |

5/1(+0%) | (7) Cher Monsieur 5/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 9l, in a handicap hurdle at Southwell last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time; effective around 2 1/2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; in moderate form off low marks. New headgear tried and best previous run came in a first-time hood (finished third). |

(8) (8/1 +0%)Milan Milos |
8/1(+0%) | (8) Milan Milos 8/1, From the yard that won this race last year; made mistakes and found little when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster last time; effective over 2 1/2m but struggling in handicaps. Probably has a race in him off this mark when putting best foot forward (didn't last time). |

(5) (66/1 +0%)Kilnacarra |
66/1(+0%) | (5) Kilnacarra 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time; formerly effective around 2m and acts on good ground; tongue-tie applied but has been out of form for his new yard. Bits of form in Ireland but nothing in three runs for this yard after absence; had wind op. |

GETAWAY WITH YOU failed in his hat-trick bid when second at Uttoxeter, but that was on heavy ground and he could get back to winning ways. Hidor De Bersy might be the one to make him pull out all the stops after a very easy victory at Wincanton, with a 3lb rise in the handicap seemingly generous. Eliza Dolittle and Heaven Smart have claims too.

The suggestion is ELIZA DOLITTLE who bumped into an improver last time at Plumpton. Cher Monsieur is second choice.

In fine form since joining this yard; climbing the weights but he's clearly thriving. |

10/3(-11%) | (2) Ikarak 10/3, Scored by a nose off a 4lb lower mark at Lingfield two starts ago; a touch below form last time; effective over 3m and acts with cut; admirably consistent but may now be high enough in the weights. 18/1(+0%) | (9) Follow Charlie 18/1, Won by 3 1/4l off a 7lb lower mark here two starts ago; below form off a new mark and possibly didn't stay last time; effective at 2m4f and acts on any ground; needs to bounce back. Tailed off at Kelso last month but three wins here, including two starts ago in November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (22/1 -144%)Fostered Phil |
22/1(-144%) | (11) Fostered Phil 22/1, Did it readily and improved on recent efforts when landing a handicap by 7l off a 6lb lower mark at Carlisle last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f; likeable veteran. Won at 2m1f last time and unraced beyond 2m5f, but this trip could be within range. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 -65%)Gaillimh A Stor |
33/1(-65%) | (6) Gaillimh A Stor 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Kelso last time; effective from 2m6f to 3m and acts on soft; form has been going the wrong way. Out of form but wind surgery has done the trick in the past; runner-up in this last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (40/1 -122%)Imaginary Dragon |
40/1(-122%) | (8) Imaginary Dragon 40/1, Needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recently; cheekpieces on for the first time; off a short break; effective from 2m to 2m7f with cut; should come on for the return. On a handy mark but tailed off here on stable debut in November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (300/1 -100%)Baptism Of Fire |
300/1(-100%) | (5) Baptism Of Fire 300/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Haydock last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m; inconsistent and needs to prove ability remains after a layoff. Pulled up on both starts last year, following a very long absence. |

Ikarak is consistent, stays well and has already won three times when partnered by Sean Bowen. However, he was a well-held third off this mark at Sandown last month and again looks vulnerable. Therefore, preference is for AUTHORIZED MISSION, who successfully debuted for Nicky Richards at Kelso before losing little in defeat when second to an in-form rival at the same venue. He appears progressive enough to cope with a 5lb rise. Whistle Stop Tour and Highland Fashion are other appealing options.

Unexposed over staying trips, HIGHLAND FASHION is given the vote ahead of Ikarak and Authorized Mission.

(6) (11/8 +39%)Time Tested |
11/8(+39%) | (6) Time Tested 11/8, Improved again when winning a handicap by 2l off a 4lb lower mark here last time. Off a short break. Effective from 8-10f and acts on all-weather. Considered off his revised mark given his fine course record. Major improver who made it 2-2 over C&D when scoring in October; big player again up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (4/1 -20%)Epictetus |
4/1(-20%) | (1) Epictetus 4/1, Outpaced and below form when beaten 6l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Suited by 8-10f and acts on any surface. His mark is easing, but he appears to be regressing. On much-reduced mark but he needs to raise his game back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (5/1 +17%)Knockbrex |
5/1(+17%) | (3) Knockbrex 5/1, Won by a head off a 3lb lower mark at Newcastle two runs ago and ran to form when third, beaten 4 1/4l off 83 last time. Effective from 10-12f and acts on all-weather; respected once again. Won at Newcastle (1m2f) before a good third behind an improver at Lingfield; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/2 +8%)Sheriff's Court |
11/2(+8%) | (4) Sheriff's Court 11/2, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Hood on for the first time and the trainer is in form. Suited by 8f and acts on all-weather; edging down the weights but form has tailed off. Lightly raced 5yo but well held in last three runs and needs a hood to make a difference. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (7/1 -8%)Melek Alreeh |
7/1(-8%) | (5) Melek Alreeh 7/1, Up in trip and may not stay, having been comfortably held in a handicap at Southwell last time. Returning from a break. Suited by 12f on a sound surface. Consistent but holds no secrets from the handicapper. Well held in last two runs and his tactical speed will be tested back at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (12/1 +14%)Midnight Rumble |
12/1(+14%) | (2) Midnight Rumble 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground. Hard to fancy. Overall record of 1-18 and he's struggled on the Flat and over hurdles in last two runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (25/1 -79%)Alpine Oasis |
25/1(-79%) | (7) Alpine Oasis 25/1, Raced a bit wide and below form when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Effective from 10-12f with all form on all-weather. Needs to bounce back. On dangerous mark but was down the field over C&D on recent stable debut; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (25/1 -39%)Jodhpur Blue |
25/1(-39%) | (8) Jodhpur Blue 25/1, Hinted at better up in trip when fourth, beaten 4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Effective from 7-9f and acts on all-weather. Unexposed at 10f but not one to rely on building on latest. Has generally struggled in handicaps but his latest fourth at Newcastle was a fair effort. |

TIME TESTED appears best when caught fresh and is an attractive proposition resuming from a 64-day break. A cosy winner over this C&D when last seen, the Michael Bell-trained gelding is 2-2 at this venue and his case is boosted further with the in-form Hector Crouch retaining the ride. Knockbrex's last two efforts read well and he is a must for consideration. Sheriff's Court and Epictetus complete the shortlist.

This can go to the very progressive TIME TESTED (nap), who made it five wins from his last ten starts when scoring over C&D in October.

(2) (5/6 +79%)Cargin Bhui |
5/6(+79%) | (2) Cargin Bhui 5/6, Travelled well but was forced to wait for a gap at a key stage when beaten 4l in a handicap at Pontefract last time. Usually held up, returning from a short break. Effective at 6f to 7f and acts on good and all-weather surfaces. Has a chance off a reduced mark. Below par on turf in autumn but this course winner is on good mark if reviving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (5/1 +17%)Bibendum |
5/1(+17%) | (4) Bibendum 5/1, Won by 2l off a 6lb lower mark at Newcastle two starts ago. Made late gains and ran to form last time. Has a wide draw but remains on a competitive mark. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (15/2 -150%)Betties Bay |
15/2(-150%) | (7) Betties Bay 15/2, Showed a step back in the right direction when beaten 3l off a 4lb higher mark at Chelmsford last time. Returning from a long absence but effective at 6f to 7f on a sound surface. Off 14 months but very well treated for excellent new yard; market confidence significant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (12/1 -20%)Sioux Warrior |
12/1(-20%) | (5) Sioux Warrior 12/1, Again below form when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. Effective over 5f to 6f on a sound surface but needs to bounce back. Placed twice over C&D in October but two lesser runs have followed and now 1-20 overall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (14/1 +36%)Good Earth |
14/1(+36%) | (3) Good Earth 14/1, Below form when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Suited by 5f to 6f and acts on all-weather. Well treated if returning to form. Placed over C&D in the autumn but overall AW record now 1-30. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (18/1 -125%)Buraback |
18/1(-125%) | (11) Buraback 18/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 2lb higher mark at Chelmsford last time. Best at 5f but effective at 6f and acts on all-weather. Needs to build on that effort. Four course wins; fair fourth at Chelmsford latest and well treated if building on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(-200%) | (12) Initial Blue 33/1, Well below form in new headgear when down the field in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 6f to 7f and all worthwhile form on all-weather. Removal of headgear could help. Inauspicious start for new yard when last at Southwell (7f) in November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (33/1 -50%)Dark Sun |
33/1(-50%) | (8) Dark Sun 33/1, Below form when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Returning from a break. Suited by 7f on a sound surface but needs to show more. Exposed maiden who struggled to make an impact in handicaps last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (40/1 -186%)Spirited Dancer |
40/1(-186%) | (10) Spirited Dancer 40/1, Slowly away and below form when tried in a tongue-tie, beaten 7l in a handicap at Doncaster last time. Trainer in form. Has a wide draw and is effective at 5f to 6f on a sound surface. May need this run. Below par since 2yo maiden win; had wind op ahead of first run for 201 days. |

Buraback hasn't won since last April, off a mark of 60, but he showed signs of a return to form with a length-and-three-quarter fourth at Chelmsford last month and, having slipped to a rating of 58, he has an obvious chance. However, BIBENDUM arrives in good heart after a victory and a third at Newcastle, where he was perhaps left with too much to do, and he could get back to winning ways. Early Release is the pick of the remainder.

Market confidence behind Betties Bay would look significant but she's been of a long time so preference is for CARGIN BHUI.

Low-mileage 5yo; gamely opened her account in Wolverhampton handicap last time; respected. |

(8) (3/1 +10%)Sultan Of Oj |
3/1(+10%) | (8) Sultan Of Oj 3/1, Step back in right direction when second beaten 3/4l in a handicap here latest; effective 5/6f, acts on GS, G and AW; inconsistent maiden. Still a maiden but ran well in C&D handicap most recently, bagging his first silver medal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (4/1 +27%)Desert Master |
4/1(+27%) | (1) Desert Master 4/1, Back to form tried in a visor when second beaten 2l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; suited by 5f and acts on a sound surface; has a chance if building on that effort. Proved resurgent in first-time visor at Newcastle most recently; could go well. |

(9) (5/1 +33%)Wee Mary |
5/1(+33%) | (9) Wee Mary 5/1, Poor effort when beaten 6l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; suited by 5f and acts on the all-weather; out of form at present. Maiden who posted a resurgent effort yesterday; possibilities dropped to 0-50. |

(2) (25/1 -257%)Dubai Magic |
25/1(-257%) | (2) Dubai Magic 25/1, Travelled but had a bit too much to do when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; wide draw; effective at 5/6f, unreliable maiden but could go well. Still a maiden and her form has regressed since going close at Chelmsford in August. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (80/1 -142%)She Went Whoosh |
80/1(-142%) | (7) She Went Whoosh 80/1, No-show from off the pace when well beaten in a handicap at Lingfield last time; effective at 5f and best on the all-weather; out of form since her spring win. Record is only 1-22; holds very weak claims on her form for new stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (200/1 -60%)La Lunita |
200/1(-60%) | (4) La Lunita 200/1, Has shown no worthwhile form to date and now switches to handicaps, where she cannot do any worse. Has failed to beat a rival in three novice events. |

MIDNIGHT CALL showed a really willing attitude here over 6f in November and although upped 2lb for that victory, she gets on well with jockey Matthew Lloyd Slater and may have an easier time on the front end in this line-up. Desert Master was second at Newcastle and can have a big say in the outcome off the same mark. Dubai Magic is dropping down the handicap and might break through when she gets away on level terms.

Last-time course winner MIDNIGHT CALL is taken to follow up. Sultan Of Oj's latest effort makes him second pick.

(5) (9/4 +74%)Rogue De Vega |
9/4(+74%) | (5) Rogue De Vega 9/4, No-show from off the pace beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; suited by 5f, acts on a sound surface; form has tailed off. Balance of recent form suggests a supporting role is on the cards. |

5/2(+17%) | (2) Colors Of Freedom 5/2, Ran to form when second beaten a neck in a handicap here latest; effective 5f, acts on AW; capable off this mark. Three C&D wins, the most recent last June; largely consistent since; solid claims. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (33/1 -32%)Second Collection |
33/1(-32%) | (7) Second Collection 33/1, Below form but with excuses when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time; from a top course trainer; suited by 5f and acts on a sound surface; generally out of form. Failed to score last year and finished last over C&D most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (50/1 +0%)Symbol Of Hope |
50/1(+0%) | (8) Symbol Of Hope 50/1, Stopped quickly and ran below form when finishing down the field in a handicap here last time; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; out of form and hard to fancy. All wins on turf; regressive results since returned to AW. |

COLORS OF FREEDOM ticks plenty of boxes as a three-time C&D winner, the latest coming last June off a 1lb higher mark. Only beaten a neck last time out when caught late on, she clearly has a decent chance in this field. Back Before Dark wasn't at her best at Newcastle, but first-time blinkers could see her do better. Second Collection and Forest Gunner are others for the shortlist.

In-form mare COLORS OF FREEDOM holds particularly solid claims, while Juno Star and Forest Gunner are likely dangers.

10/1(+38%) | (3) Cincinnati Gold 10/1, Finished well after letting the front two get away when 10l third in a novice at Kempton last time. Speedily bred but stays 7f and handles the all-weather. More to come. Eyecatching third in latest Kempton start; frame possibilities if backing up that form. |

66/1(0%) | (7) Tommo's Ginjaninja 66/1, £5,000 Zoustar gelding; half-brother to Rogue Empire, fair at 12f. Makes limited appeal on breeding for this type of test on debut. £5,000 yearling; by Zoustar; less interesting than a couple of the other newcomers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (125/1 -279%)Ar Rayyan |
125/1(-279%) | (1) Ar Rayyan 125/1, Made late headway when a promising 8l fourth in a novice at Kempton on debut. Off a long absence since and has left Ralph Beckett. Effective at 7f on the all-weather and may need this run. Gelded and absent since showing promise at Kempton in October 2024 for Ralph Beckett. |

STELLAR VISION was doing his best work at the finish when third over 6f at Newmarket on debut. The son of Oasis Dream will know more today and, with this extra yardage likely to suit, he makes more appeal than the others with racecourse experience. Of the newcomers, Star Obsession is a sister to a couple of winners and the Frankel filly could prove a bigger danger than Tactical Blitz.

The pick of the runners with experience is STELLAR VISION. Star Obsession and Tactical Blitz are respected newcomers.

13/8(+7%) | (2) Chifa 13/8, Travelled well and was on top late when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 6lb lower mark here last time; effective at 7f, acts on AW; veteran can go well again off the new mark. Won cosily over C&D five weeks ago but a 6lb rise asks a stiffer question. |

(1) (9/4 +55%)Straight A |
9/4(+55%) | (1) Straight A 9/4, Bit below form when beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective at 7f/8f, acts on a sound surface; needs to bounce back. Finished behind reopposing rivals over C&D on last two starts; still likely to be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(+33%) | (3) Arnaz 4/1, Lacked the pace to get involved when beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective at 6f, acts on any except extremes; can go well. Frustrating sort but his stable debut was encouraging and he is well capable off this mark. |

(5) (15/2 -88%)Landlordtothestars |
15/2(-88%) | (5) Landlordtothestars 15/2, Back to best, good attitude landing a handicap by a head off a 1lb lower mark here last time; effective 7/8f, acts on AW; respected after small rise. Returned from a break to beat Straight A over C&D five weeks ago; respected up just 1lb. |

(7) (16/1 -60%)River Wharfe |
16/1(-60%) | (7) River Wharfe 16/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark here in October; produced his best work late when sixth last time; trained by a top course trainer; usually held up; effective at 7-9f, acts on any going; better than recent results suggest. C&D winner; not at best since his 8.6f win here in October; needs a strong pace to chase. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (18/1 -177%)Al Hofzan |
18/1(-177%) | (4) Al Hofzan 18/1, Ran to form when a 1/4l third in a maiden here on his most recent run; effective at 7f, acts on AW; may improve now handicapping. Has shown promise in three 7f AW runs; more needed to defy this mark now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (50/1 -100%)Adelaide Bay |
50/1(-100%) | (6) Adelaide Bay 50/1, Made no impression from off the pace after a slow start, beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; effective at 7f, acts on AW; needs to bounce back. C&D winner; not fired in two runs for new yard after a break. |

CHIFA saves his best for this venue and was winning for the sixth time here when scoring easily under Luke Morris in November. The partnership remains intact and another bold bid is anticipated. Landlordtothestars won over C&D, with runner-up Straight A in close attendance, but the less-exposed Al Hofzan improves with every start and could prove a bigger threat on his handicap bow.

Chifa should go well but he could prove vulnerable to LANDLORDTOTHESTARS, who dug deep to win here five weeks ago.

Effective between 7f and 10f, acts on all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Two AW wins last year; not at best last time but no surprise were he to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (5/2 +38%)Al Rufaa |
5/2(+38%) | (1) Al Rufaa 5/2, Returned to form albeit didn't quite stay beaten 5l in a handicap at Kempton last time; effective 7-11f, acts on sound surface; drop in trip may help. On a losing run; arrives in fair form but likely something will prove stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (3/1 -33%)Tonal |
3/1(-33%) | (7) Tonal 3/1, Improved again, won with bit to spare in landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Chelmsford last time; effective 7/8f, acts on G, AW; new mark asks more but he's in fine form. Won 3 of last 4 and had excuse for the defeat; up another 6lb but foolish to underestimate. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (7/1 -27%)Studious |
7/1(-27%) | (3) Studious 7/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 7lb lower mark at Newcastle penultimate start; ran to form when fourth last time; effective 7/8f, form largely on AW; can be competitive again. C&D winner; finished behind Tonal when 4th at Kempton last time; another 1lb higher now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (8/1 -7%)Ernie's Valentine |
8/1(-7%) | (4) Ernie's Valentine 8/1, Scored by a nose off a 3lb lower mark here three starts back and ran to form when fourth last time. Effective from 7f to 9f and seems better on all-weather. Still fairly treated. Conditions to suit and arrives in good order; needs more to defy this mark though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (12/1 +14%)Boubyan |
12/1(+14%) | (5) Boubyan 12/1, Ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. Effective around 1m and acts on any surface. Has been inconsistent lately. Ran okay in a stronger C&D handicap last week; each-way claims back down to Class 5. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (25/1 -108%)Lessay |
25/1(-108%) | (8) Lessay 25/1, Scored by a neck off a 3lb lower mark here three starts back. Bit keen and lacked pace when sixth last time. Trainer in form and effective at 7f or 8f on all-weather; capable of better. 7f win here last month and went close at Newcastle one week later; form dipped last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (40/1 -60%)Soames Forsyte |
40/1(-60%) | (6) Soames Forsyte 40/1, Never involved after a slow start when beaten 5l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Usually held up and effective at 7f or 8f on all-weather. Out of form recently. C&D winner and on his last winning mark; needs to step up on last month's Southwell 7th. |

TONAL needed only to be pushed out in the closing stages to win cosily at Chelmsford last month. That was his third victory in his last four outings and Ian Williams' charge remains of interest, despite a 6lb rise. Ernie's Valentine has been in the mix in a couple of starts on the Polytrack since scoring over C&D and is not out of this. Studious returns to the Tapeta with a shout having won at Newcastle in November.

A 6lb rise for his latest Chelmsford success may not be beyond TONAL (nap) and he can continue on his upward trajectory.

(1) (4/1 +60%)Beaumadier |
4/1(+60%) | (1) Beaumadier 4/1, Scored by 3 1/2l off a 10lb lower mark here in November and ran to form when fifth last time. Effective at 5f and acts on all-weather; had been in good form and could go well. C&D win in November; second next time but only fifth last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (5/1 -11%)Emperor's Son |
5/1(-11%) | (5) Emperor's Son 5/1, Ran to form beaten a length off this mark at Chelmsford last time; wide draw; effective 5/6f, best on a sound surface; can go well again. No win since debut but placed on three of last four run; drawn wide but still respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (6/1 +57%)Bang On The Bell |
6/1(+57%) | (2) Bang On The Bell 6/1, Below form when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Suited by 5f and acts on all-weather; has lost form of late and needs to bounce back. Well treated on last winter's AW form but not obviously at the top of his game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (6/1 -20%)Gustav Graves |
6/1(-20%) | (8) Gustav Graves 6/1, Improved when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark here last time. Suited by 5f and acts on all-weather; likely to go well off new mark. Carries 4lb penalty for last week's C&D win, his eighth at the track; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (13/2 -95%)Blue Force |
13/2(-95%) | (3) Blue Force 13/2, Ran to form when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark here last time. Effective at 5/6f with almost all form on all-weather; mark remains competitive. Added to solid AW record with C&D win last month; should remain competitive off 4lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (18/1 +45%)Honour Your Dreams |
18/1(+45%) | (4) Honour Your Dreams 18/1, Below form up in trip and well beaten in a handicap at Southwell last time. Trainer in form; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; below last winning mark and needs to bounce back. 5f turf win in July for Mick Appleby but largely struggled for this yard since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (33/1 -450%)Basholo |
33/1(-450%) | (7) Basholo 33/1, Showed improvement when landing a handicap by a short head off a 4lb lower mark here last time. Effective at 5f and acts on all-weather; new mark asks for more. Landed another C&D win in late November but has yet to win back to back in her long career. |

Speed Of Maajid deserves a second career win after filling the runner-up spot on three of his last four starts, the latest at Southwell last month. However, he may have to settle for more of the same if BLUE FORCE can shrug off a 4lb rise from the handicapper for his victory over C&D. He looked to have a bit up his sleeve that day and can follow up. Gustav Graves is another to consider, despite the step up in class.

In an open sprint it might be worth siding with SPEED OF MAAJID to land an overdue second success.

Held off a subsequent winner over C&D latest and a 3lb rise may not stop him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/2 +10%)Hawaiian King |
9/2(+10%) | (3) Hawaiian King 9/2, Improved dropped in trip beaten 3 1/4l off this mark here last time; effective 8-10f, acts on AW, has undergone a wind op; more to come. Good start to handicap career when third (Naughty Niall second) over C&D; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (5/1 +17%)Scenario |
5/1(+17%) | (10) Scenario 5/1, Good attitude, ran to form beaten a nose off this mark here last time; top course trainer; effective 7-9f, acts on GS, GF and AW; capable off this mark. Has started well for Tony Carroll, including close second over C&D on Boxing Day; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (17/2 +6%)Revich |
17/2(+6%) | (6) Revich 17/2, Best work late, ran to form beaten 3 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 7-10f, acts on any; can be competitive. Not the force of old but recent in-frame efforts show he can still be competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 +30%)Sense Of Worth |
14/1(+30%) | (5) Sense Of Worth 14/1, No show from off the pace when down the field in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective from 8-12f and much better on the all-weather; form has been in and out of late. Now 7lb lower than when winning here last summer but recent efforts poor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (22/1 +12%)Take The Boat |
22/1(+12%) | (8) Take The Boat 22/1, Again below form when beaten 5l in a handicap at Kempton last time; effective at 7/8f and suited by the all-weather; now below last winning mark. May have needed recent yard debut after 199 days off and now 1lb below her winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (25/1 +0%)Prince Ali |
25/1(+0%) | (2) Prince Ali 25/1, No show after a slow start when down the field in a handicap here last time; effective from 10-12f and acts on the all-weather; mark continues to ease. Now 4lb lower than for C&D win last March but needs to leave recent efforts behind. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (50/1 -456%)Zed Candy Boy |
50/1(-456%) | (1) Zed Candy Boy 50/1, No show from off the pace when down the field in a maiden here last time; effective at 8f and acts on the all-weather; type to do better now handicapping. Promise over 6f/1m first two starts and 1m4f presumably too far latest; handicap debut. |

Four-time course winner Prince Ali is capable of challenging at his best, but he was beaten over 10 lengths here last time and may have to settle for a place. Zed Candy Boy makes his handicap debut after failing to see out a mile and a half here and is worth a market watch, but MOONLIGHT BOMB could be the one. He was all out to hang on by a nose over C&D, but could double up off just 3lb higher.

A 3lb rise for MOONLIGHT BOMB's breakthrough C&D success a fortnight ago looks fair given that the second has won nicely since.

3/1(+67%) | (2) Time Turner 3/1, Failed to get home when tried in cheekpieces and beaten 5l in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective from 7f to 10f, acts on all-weather; the drop in trip should help. Lightly raced; only 2l away in 1m2f AW handicap at Lingfield before a 5l defeat over 1m3f. |

(7) (10/3 +17%)Latin |
10/3(+17%) | (7) Latin 10/3, Won by 3/4l off a 3lb lower mark at Southwell two starts ago; lacked pace when dropped in trip and finished fourth last time; effective from 7f to 10f, acts on all-weather; consistent and the return to this trip should suit. Won over 1m at Southwell and ran fairly well dropped to 7f when penalised at Lingfield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (17/2 -70%)Seraphic |
17/2(-70%) | (3) Seraphic 17/2, Took a step back in the right direction when beaten 2l off this mark here last time; effective from 10f to 12f, acts on all-weather; a tricky hold-up ride. Hard to win with but was close up over C&D 13 days ago despite late interference. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (10/1 -67%)Magic Runner |
10/1(-67%) | (6) Magic Runner 10/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark here three starts ago; close to form when sixth last time; effective from 10f to 12f, acts on a sound surface; can go well again. Got behind before staying on when behind Seraphic here last time; might go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (14/1 +30%)Ciotog |
14/1(+30%) | (1) Ciotog 14/1, Again below form when finishing down the field in a handicap here last time; effective up to 10f, acts on soft and all-weather surfaces; needs to show more than of late. Well treated but losing run up to 11 and quiet in three runs after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (18/1 +0%)Eutropia |
18/1(+0%) | (9) Eutropia 18/1, Lacked the pace to get involved from the rear when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time; usually held up; effective from 7f to 11f, acts on all-weather; needs a bit more to feature. 0-9 in Ireland but made some late headway over 8.6f here on recent stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

22/1(-10%) | (5) Offiah's Boy 22/1, Well below form when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Taunton last time; effective from 8f to 11f; had a productive summer on the Flat but needs to bounce back. Tailed off the last twice over hurdles and reservations returned to Flat action. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (33/1 -65%)Petra Grey |
33/1(-65%) | (10) Petra Grey 33/1, Raced wide and made no impact on her first run since a wind operation, beaten 5l in a handicap here last time; this is her second run after the surgery and she still has plenty to prove. Only her fifth start and first for this yard when never-dangerous fifth over C&D last week. |

Offiah's Boy returns to the level, with his last win coming off 1lb lower on turf at Salisbury in August, although he is yet to show that form on the all-weather and has something to prove. Seraphic wasn't beaten far in third here last month, despite pulling too hard, and if he settles he could be the biggest danger to LAW SUPREME. Ian Williams' charge dead-heated over C&D on Boxing Day and the winners were over three lengths clear of the third, giving the form a solid look.

First choice is TIME TURNER who probably failed to stay 1m3f last time and he's still got some upside to him.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
