Perth bumper winner Wilstar has undergone wind surgery since a disappointing hurdling bow at Newbury. With a first-time tongue-tie applied, it would come as no surprise were he to step forward, but preference is for LIKE MINDED. The JP McManus-owned gelding made a satisfactory debut over C&D last month and although it suggested further might be more suitable, he wouldn't need to find stacks of improvement. Largy Meadow finished second in a Ballinrobe bumper over the summer and is worth a market check ahead of his stable debut.

The blue-blooded WILSTAR impressed when winning a bumper at Perth in April and has had wind surgery since his hurdle debut flop.

Gemmari was strongly fancied over 2m here last time out but, in a muddling race, he failed to give his best before finishing last of five. He can do better off 1lb lower over this trip, but may have to give way to D DAY ARVALENREEVA. A three-time winner over hurdles, she finished a length-and-a-quarter third in the same race and should confirm the form off the same mark. Cardinal Point is ultra-consistent but may have to settle for another place.

A rare runner in this code for Newmarket trainer Charlie Fellowes, SENSE OF REASON finished a respectable fourth at Huntingdon on his hurdling bow. That experience should stand him in good stead and he could find enough improvement to launch a serious challenge. Eddie My Eagle is another likely to be thereabouts at the finish on the back of filling the runner-up spot at Sedgefield. Quinta Brigada is worth noting on debut for his new yard.

A confident vote goes to POWEROFJET, who was able to build on an encouraging chase debut to score at Newcastle. Martin Todhunter's seven-year-old is tasked with a step up in class, coupled with a 7lb rise, but he has scope for considerable progress. Ballyfort won at Kelso in October and is arguably the main danger, and Rock On Jet can be forgiven his latest performance when pulled up over C&D.

With further progress plausible, POWEROFJET (nap) is taken to follow up his Newcastle success. Ballyfort is second pick.

THECOFFEEPODDOTCO has run well recently and was only beaten half a length into second over 6f at Lingfield. If she can break smartly once more over this trip, she may try to make every post a winning one. Mad Dash has room for improvement after only two starts and might be the one to follow the suggestion home. Mayflyer is a newcomer of note and could well get involved in the battle for the places.

Some exposed maidens on show and MAD DASH has the potential to improve past them. Chhota Saab may be best of the rest.

OVERABOTTLEOFRED is lightly raced over fences, finishing second at Leicester twice before coming home 21 lengths in front at Huntingdon after being left clear at the last. Upped 5lb for that, she may have improvement to come on her return for the season. It's Easy was outclassed when eighth at Cheltenham but won by 40 lengths at Bangor in November, although that was on heavy ground and conditions may be very different here. Mighty Fleur could get the better of Jacks Touch for third.

FOREST BLAZE bounced back to form in first-time cheekpieces here last month. Beaten only a length in second, this extra furlong offers the prospect of further improvement and Mark Walford's charge gets another chance. Runner-up at Doncaster on his return from a layoff, Big Storm Brewing cannot be ruled out with any confidence, while Shadow Chaser can get involved with a reproduction of his good effort here in November.

The suggestion is BIG STORM BREWING, who ran a big race in defeat on his seasonal debut at Doncaster three weeks ago.

Runner-up at Southwell a fortnight ago, Chola Empire won when last seen at this venue in October. He holds every chance, but it could be the turn of REVOLUTIONISE once again. Second over C&D last time, the veteran grey has won off higher marks on the all-weather in the past and Jack Dace's 5lb allowance further helps his cause. Me Tarzan just got the better of Arantes Nascimento when scoring at Lingfield and that pair are hard to separate.

Top of the list is ME TARZAN, who has a record of 22331 since September and hit a personal best when scoring at Lingfield last time.

Upped 7lb, he will need to improve again to get the better of stable companion BLUEGRASS, who has won three of his four starts here and is worth another try at the extended distance with Murray Dodd claiming 7lb. Breezethroughlife is preferred to Escapologist of the remainder.

Ian Duncan's mare won with any amount in hand over 2m4f and this extra test of stamina should play to her strengths. Wal Buck's will appreciate the return to softer ground and drops in class with a shout, while recent C&D winner Wholly Boley remains unexposed and could shape well again.

The mare CELESTIAL FASHION impressed at Carlisle and her pedigree provides optimism she can take this step up in trip in her stride.

Plenty of in-form runners to pick from but ANNIE NAIL stands out after her second over hurdles here under today's jockey. Due to go up 3lb for future races, she won't get many better chances, although her stamina for this distance does have to be taken on trust at the first attempt. Stamina Chope has won over 3m-plus and warrants respect after her Leicester third, but she is not as effective over fences and Windsor second Illogical Logic appears to be the bigger danger.

Back in form when second at Windsor in November, ILLOGICAL LOGIC might seize the chance to dominate from the front here.

Junker D'allier has shown his best form over two miles but, with Sean Bowen back in the saddle, it wouldn't be surprising if he is at least on the premises if his stamina holds out. However, Irish raider CLOONAINRA is more proven over this distance and with this representing a drop down in class, John McConnell's mare shades preference. Captain Butler and Young Jack are others to consider.

Jimmy Moffatt has had a few horses run well at nice prices of late and a chance is taken on GREAT PEPPER. Young Jack is a danger.

Her two wins at Lingfield were gained in a pleasing enough manner to suggest a 4lb higher mark is manageable while she is on a roll. Nebula Stars and Gladiadora fought out a finish at the same track and warrant close inspection. Rising Force and recent Kempton winner Adace are solid each-way options.

GETAWAY WITH YOU failed in his hat-trick bid when second at Uttoxeter, but that was on heavy ground and he could get back to winning ways. Hidor De Bersy might be the one to make him pull out all the stops after a very easy victory at Wincanton, with a 3lb rise in the handicap seemingly generous. Eliza Dolittle and Heaven Smart have claims too.

The suggestion is ELIZA DOLITTLE who bumped into an improver last time at Plumpton. Cher Monsieur is second choice.

Ikarak is consistent, stays well and has already won three times when partnered by Sean Bowen. However, he was a well-held third off this mark at Sandown last month and again looks vulnerable. Therefore, preference is for AUTHORIZED MISSION, who successfully debuted for Nicky Richards at Kelso before losing little in defeat when second to an in-form rival at the same venue. He appears progressive enough to cope with a 5lb rise. Whistle Stop Tour and Highland Fashion are other appealing options.

A cosy winner over this C&D when last seen, the Michael Bell-trained gelding is 2-2 at this venue and his case is boosted further with the in-form Hector Crouch retaining the ride. Speed Of Maajid deserves a second career win after filling the runner-up spot on three of his last four starts, the latest at Southwell last month. However, he may have to settle for more of the same if BLUE FORCE can shrug off a 4lb rise from the handicapper for his victory over C&D. He looked to have a bit up his sleeve that day and can follow up. Gustav Graves is another to consider, despite the step up in class.

In an open sprint it might be worth siding with SPEED OF MAAJID to land an overdue second success.

Four-time course winner Prince Ali is capable of challenging at his best, but he was beaten over 10 lengths here last time and may have to settle for a place. Zed Candy Boy makes his handicap debut after failing to see out a mile and a half here and is worth a market watch, but MOONLIGHT BOMB could be the one. He was all out to hang on by a nose over C&D, but could double up off just 3lb higher.

A 3lb rise for MOONLIGHT BOMB's breakthrough C&D success a fortnight ago looks fair given that the second has won nicely since.

Offiah's Boy returns to the level, with his last win coming off 1lb lower on turf at Salisbury in August, although he is yet to show that form on the all-weather and has something to prove. Seraphic wasn't beaten far in third here last month, despite pulling too hard, and if he settles he could be the biggest danger to LAW SUPREME. Ian Williams' charge dead-heated over C&D on Boxing Day and the winners were over three lengths clear of the third, giving the form a solid look.

First choice is TIME TURNER who probably failed to stay 1m3f last time and he's still got some upside to him.
