(2) Bleep Test 3/1, 6l third in a novice over 6f at Carlisle most recent run off a three day break; effective 5f-6f; handles decent and quick ground; latest came soon, can bounce back, player on h'cap bow
Not at her best last time but the ground was soft and it was a valuable novice; contender.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

A small but competitive nursery in which marginal preference is for SOCA STAR. The daughter of Starman has yet to score but she's posted a number of fine efforts, most notably when third behind Venetian Sun at Carlisle in May. A mark of 74 looks fair and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could eke out further improvement. Rogue Supremacy will find this less taxing than the two Listed events he has contested recently, and the admirably consistent Bleep Test should not be far away either.

This is a marked drop in class for ROGUE SUPREMACY and he can capitalise before going back up in grade. Bleep Test is feared most.

THIS GUY has stepped forward with each career start and the son of Blue Point boasts strong credentials on his nursery bow, with an opening mark of 75 appearing to be more than fair. Eyes Front went agonisingly close on his third outing at Haydock and has to enter calculations, especially with cheekpieces applied for the first time. Gascony is of interest now rising in trip.

The penny hasn't dropped with SWEET LORD yet. He's picked in the hope a gelding operation/switch to handicaps will be the making of him.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Over Spiced may try to make all over the minimum trip, but this is her 10th run of the year and top-weight may find her out. Reporter won by a neck at Windsor last month and an added 4lb from the handicapper may not stop him getting involved at the finish, but HINT OF THE JUNGLE is preferred. Fourth at Yarmouth when last seen in April, he races off 1lb lower now, before Alfie Redman's 7lb claim from the saddle, and could get the better of his younger rivals.

Reporter may have more to offer over 5f but OVER SPICED, a C&D winner in May, could be the answer back down in trip.

Now three from three since being fitted with a visor, MISS RAINBOW remains well treated from 3lb higher than last month's Newcastle triumph and is taken to complete a four-timer. Recent Musselburgh scorer Ski Angel should give the selection plenty to think about, providing stall one isn't too much of an inconvenience. Pinpoint and Kyber Crystal are two others who could have a say.

The intriguing runner is The Voominator but he has his share of quirks and the flourishing MISS RAINBOW looks a safer option.

NOBLE HORIZON appears to have been found an excellent opportunity to get his head in front. Despite tasting defeat at odds-on at Newmarket, William Haggas' colt was beaten by a rival who had been touted as a potential Classic contender in the spring and that form is by far the strongest on offer. Sky Advocate appears to be the main threat, but arrives with something to prove after refusing to go into the stalls at Ffos Las. Of the rest, L'air De Panache and Warrior King are capable of better.

Sky Advocate looks the only legitimate threat to NOBLE HORIZON, who's got a good attitude and can gain a well-deserved success.

Older horses have held sway in the seven runnings of this race so far, with just the one four-year-old winning, and that trend may continue if BEAR TO DREAM runs to her best. A winner at Brighton in May, she was only beaten a length at the same track last time and races off the same mark here. Sorontar ran too bad to be true on his first start of the year at Windsor and may be worth another chance for an in-form stable, leaving Guiteau for third on his first start for Faye Bromley.

Top of the list is BEAR TO DREAM who won a classified at Brighton last month and was a good second in a handicap there two weeks ago.

Brielle kept on well into second over 1m4f at Thirsk so, although respected, dropping in trip might not play to her strengths. With that in mind, preference is for the penalised SILENT CITY, who was able to build on an encouraging debut performance to score in fine style at Windsor. Zacharia Clarke takes off a handy 7lb and Roger Varian's filly could prove tough to beat. Wadacre Maestro heads the remainder.

Brielle is respected back in trip but preference is for SILENT CITY, who looked good when winning at Windsor on her second start.

SPARTAN TIMES seems to have turned a corner recently, with a victory over hurdles at Worcester backed up by a brace of successes at Ffos Las. The four-year-old is expected to have more to offer now tackling 1m4f again and is capable of proving too strong for the opposition. Ricardo Phillips has run well on both starts in 2025 and is respected up in trip, while the consistent Sea Of Charm appeals most of the remainder.

Spartan Times goes for a four-timer but is asked a bigger question today and perhaps RICARDO PHILLIPS can catch out the topweight.

Seren Star failed to build on her debut third with a 12-length fourth at Newbury, but she may be worth another chance dropped in class. Aphrodite Spirit ran well in third on her only start at Goodwood and she may go close, but SONG N DANCE is preferred. Fourth at Wolverhampton in December despite a slow start and a blocked run, if she learns from that then the Sean Woods-trained Bated Breath filly could get off the mark under Ben Sanderson.

The two standout contenders are Seren Star and POLYGRAM, with slight preference for the latter.

A taking winner over C&D on just his third career outing when last seen in May, SALLAAL could be well treated off 97 on his handicap debut and he can take this en route to bigger things later in the season. Theoryofeverything may not be the most consistent but he looked good when scoring at Ayr, although running off a mark of 97 represents a career high for the five-year-old. Rhythm Master has performed with plenty of credit the last twice and cannot be ruled out with Sam James back in the saddle.

Preference is for the 3yo SALLAAL who bids to make it 3-4 on his handicap debut. He still holds a Great Voltigeur entry.

Connie's Rose should appreciate a return to the distance that saw her finish a close-up second here in mid-June and she's feared most, ahead of Saffredi.

A trappy event in which all six have claims. PAPABELLA can bounce back from an AW flop and is marginally preferred to Saffredi.

Having been touched off at Wetherby, Bernalda should give another good account of herself off just 1lb higher. However, the daughter of Frankel might prove vulnerable to a couple of the three-year-olds, with handicap debutant MAGICAL IDEA topping the bill. William Haggas' filly arrives on the back of a respectable fourth in a class 2 novice event at Pontefract and an opening mark of 66 could prove lenient. Fallons First is also of interest now stepping up in distance.

It will be disappointing if MAGICAL IDEA (nap) can't handle her opening mark and this step up in trip should be a positive.

HIBERNATE arrives on the back of his best effort to date when finishing a close-up second at Nottingham. A 1lb nudge from the assessor could prove to be lenient for Ed Dunlop's gelding and he looks ready to open his account. Makes Me Wonder also filled the runner-up spot on his latest outing over 1m at Windsor, although he may need to settle better in order to see out today's extra quarter-mile distance. With that in mind, a bigger danger may emerge from fellow in-form rival Electric Bass.

Preference is for HIBERNATE, who made a bold bid at Nottingham 12 days ago and is only 1lb higher than for that near-miss.

GISELLES IZZY likes it at Hamilton, with the latest of four course victories coming in July last year over this trip off a mark of 61. She runs off 7lb lower now, despite winning by three lengths at Ayr on her latest start, and with Paul Mulrennan keeping the partnership intact, she has every chance of following up. Her stable companion Superior Council is turned out quickly after Monday's Ayr second, but he was six lengths adrift of the winner and needs to find more. Jannas Journey is the pick for third.

The manner of the win by GISELLES IZZY (nap) at Ayr last month suggests she's probably capable of making a successful drop back to 6f.

My Boy Harry has been running well in classified company recently and is respected back in a handicap, but preference is for TOOTA. A creditable third over the extended 7f at Beverley having encountered traffic problems, the consistent filly could gain a deserved breakthrough success. Keep Talking hasn't shown much so far, but she enters handicaps from a potentially workable mark and might be able to find some improvement.

My Boy Harry (second choice) should give it another good go but TOOTA's form is arguably a fraction stronger and she gets the nod.

Dubai Venture likes a battle but has 4lb more after his Beverley success and that may thwart his hat-trick bid, with EBONY MAW the suggestion. Third at Ayr recently, he has won off this rating and above in the past and could make the most of the drop in class. Crystal Guard and Sea Master have to enter the equation as well.

Despite being 2lb worse off with Sea Master, DUBAI VENTURE is taken to underline his superiority and win again.

The 118-rated SON OF ANARCHY gains marginal preference with his experience over obstacles. Gordon Elliott's charge won a maiden point by 15 lengths before running an encouraging race when fourth in a Punchestown maiden behind The Big Westerner on his hurdling debut. He's been disappointing since, but his recent second inspires more confidence and he can break his duck at the sixth attempt under Rules. Bumper winners Oneinthewell and Moon Eclipse have similar profiles as, after winning at Leopardstown on debut, neither figured in Listed company on their next start. The former has a great amount of potential based on his introduction when beating subsequent winner Eternal Echo. Moon Eclipse showed real promise, despite greenness, when coming from the rear to win on debut, but hasn't really progressed as perhaps expected and her recent hurdling debut offered minor encouragement. Cocovic took his form to a new level on his last start and may improve once more with the hood going back on.

After a fine run at Punchestown last time over 2m3f SON OF ANARCHY(nap) will be difficult to beat today if repeating that form.

A creditable third over C&D last time after scoring over further at Southwell on his penultimate start, JUBILANT sets the standard on form, with champion jockey Sean Bowen getting back on board another positive. Runner-up on two of his last three starts, Davidoc has the potential to improve for going up in trip and can have a say, along with chasing newcomer Paddy De Pole, who is better than what he showed over hurdles at Newton Abbot in May.

Any of the three could win. PADDY DE POLE is the one who lacks chasing experience but these Nicholls novices are always well schooled.

Slow starts continue to hinder I CAN BOOGY, but she ran with credit at Beverley latest and is now 2lb lower. I Can Boogy looked on the way back last time but QAAEADD made a fair fist of his first handicap and that's a run he can build on.

Not the most daunting standard set by those with experience so a chance can be taken on DUKE OF CUMBERLAND. The son of New Bay, berthed well in stall two, is related to five separate winners, including Pretty Polly heroine Thistle Bird, and it would come as no great surprise were he to mount a stern challenge. Glitter And Glory has undoubtedly shown ability across her two starts and appeals as one of the likelier candidates, while the booking of Colin Keane aboard Joltin could be noteworthy.

Having shaped with definite promise in a stronger Curragh fillies maiden on debut, CELESTIAL SIREN could well be up to this

REDWOOD QUEEN holds the aces if she returns in the same vein of form after unseating at the last when holding a two-length advantage over Grade 2 winner Beacon Edge at Wexford. She has since joined Cian Collins and has every chance of gaining her seventh success over hurdles. Gordon Elliott's duo seems to be headed by the unexposed Cooke's Lass, who scored on debut with market support behind her at Wexford. She finished second to the 127-rated Toad Hall on her latest start and can improve again. Emily Love has enjoyed a tremendous spell and, on the back of registering her third win in a row, she can continue to prosper, although this may be too competitive. Kilbuny Supersonic bolted up on her hurdling debut and it will be interesting to see how she has progressed from that.

The two most interesting are the stablemates Emily Love and COOKE'S LASS. The latter is open to more improvement on her third start

KING OF THE STORY could not have done it much easier when seeing off the reopposing Henry Box Brown (second) over C&D last time out, and a 1lb pull at the weights for the latter should not be enough to overturn that form. A taking winner himself over track and trip last week, Deal Em High is entitled to be thereabouts again off 4lb higher.

King Of The Story won well here last time but HENRY BOX BROWN got going all too late and he has a 6lb pull on the winner.

There have been far more encouraging signs from VEGA'S MUSE, who hit the woodwork when sent off favourite at Killarney on Monday. Turned out quickly and with cheekpieces applied for the first time, the Jessica Harrington-trained Lope De Vega filly could find the necessary improvement. Zabeir shaped with promise on his seasonal return when fourth at Bellewstown earlier this month and is respected from an unchanged mark. Others to note include Clonmacash and Free Solo.

Dropping back from a mile is a slight concern with VEGA'S MUSE but this is a stiff track and cheekpieces might sharpen her up.

A chance is taken on VINTAGE GOLD, who gained his only success here off 1lb lower. John Murphy, who loves to target this meeting, acquires the services of in-form conditional Eoin Staples for the mount. Blinkers are also put back on and this son of Highland Reel can have a big say if reproducing some of his best form. Give Him A Chance would have to come into the reckoning after his comfortable success in Kilbeggan, although he must contend with a 10lb rise. Corkbeg took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Clonmel and sneaks in at the bottom of the weights 4lb below his last winning mark. Doctor Confusion is of interest on his handicap bow and with a tongue-tie added, while General Clermont looks to expose a lenient hurdles figure.

Last year's C&D winner SWELLTIME ran an encouraging race over 2m1f at Wexford last time and could score again back up in trip.

The Juddmonte colours were carried to success in this contest last year by Swelter and they have another interesting newcomer in the shape of Zebrina, who goes for the in-form Ger Lyons yard. Out of a half-sister to Group 2 winner Shamreen, Sherekiya is another debutant to note, while Minerva and Queen Of Hawaii look the pick of those with experience.

Frankel filly ZEBRINA gets the nod but this is usually a good maiden and the betting will make for essential reference.

TEX didn't appear to see out 1m2f when third here at the start of the month and the drop in trip presents the son of Dark Angel with a fine opportunity to gain a first career success. Platinum Prince was inconvenienced by a slow start when bidding for a Goodwood double and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him bounce back. Others to consider are Local Bay and Buy The Dip.

The 3yo JIFF'S ARMY has run really well on both previous visits to Epsom and earns the vote. Tex is feared most.

SHADOW PADDY bids to record a hat-trick off 11lb higher than for his latest success around Limerick. Market support would provide more confidence and he is worth sticking with. Queenofthelodge scored going away at Tipperary and may still have a bit up her sleeve, even after another 8lb rise. Gordon Elliott's trio is headed by the hooded Penny Express and, under Jack Kennedy, any market support would be significant on his second start in handicaps, although he would need to take a step forward. First-time cheekpieces may bring Duke Silver back to some of his earlier handicap form, with Ballycashin another to consider.

Progressive Queenofthelodge had several of these in behind last time but STORM MAHLER may reverse form on slower ground here

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

Kopa Kilana remains a maiden over hurdles, but he wasn't beaten far when third at Hexham and could mount a challenge on stable debut for Olly Murphy. Mix Of Clover returns to the smaller obstacles after a creditable third over fences here last month and he warrants respect, but EZ TIGER is preferred. An unchallenged two-length C&D winner off 4lb lower last month, when he made all the running, he is entitled to do even better after that first start in seven months.

The most interesting runner is KOPA KILANA (nap), who is 0-21 over hurdles but has a workable mark for this stable debut.

PURVIEW shaped like a potentially high-class colt when second to subsequent Eclipse hero Delacroix in the Derby Trial here and the son of Kingman should be open to any amount of improvement on just his third start. Dropping back from 1m2f looks like a good move and he is narrowly preferred to the top-rated Galen, who landed a Group 3 at the Curragh in April and since finished a fine second in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot. Expanded has yet to rediscover his two-year-old form, which saw him narrowly denied in the Dewhurst, while Snellen looks to build upon an excellent second in the Kensington Palace.

Derby Trial second PURVIEW looks to have been put by with an autumn campaign in mind and gets the vote over the 4yo Galen

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Oj Lifestyle went agonisingly close here last week and commands plenty of respect. That being said, the five-year-old pulled very hard and stepping back up in trip might prove to be his undoing if racing in a similar manner. With that in mind, ZARAKERJACK gets the vote having improved on his last couple of starts since being switched to turf and handicap company. River Alwen got his head back in front at Lingfield, and Giselles Defence can't be ruled out of a trappy little affair either.

A slow pace was the undoing of ZARAKERJACK at Windsor and he could have the same problem today, but this 3yo still has plenty of upside.

SAY IT SO really struck form last year, winning four times (two on the Flat/two over hurdles), including over C&D in October. The Eric McNamara-trained gelding hasn't shown too much since returning on the level, but he still looks nicely treated over timber. Calum Hogan is good value for his 7lb claim and market support would add to confidence. The Banger Doyle is rated significantly lower over hurdles than his chase mark and he had Star Official and Miss Maxfort behind when runner-up in a similar event at Tipperary. Whispering Hopes was still in contention when falling two out on her last hurdle start, while Granpa Ger and Ballyearl are others for the shortlist in an open affair.

It may be worth giving THE BANGER DOYLE another chance from a reduced hurdle mark after another near miss latest behind a nice prospect

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

With plenty of in-form options to work with it is Emma Lavelle's CALL TO DUTY who appears the likeliest winner after his two and a half length second over C&D in May. He did well in the circumstances that day after pulling too hard and if he learns to settle, he could go one better. Dual point-to-point winner Jullou De Grissay appears a huge danger after only being beaten a head at Market Rasen in June, followed by Betty's Tiara, who has come home second five times since winning her bumper.

Ben Pauling's BETTY'S TIARA did little wrong when second on her last two 2m4f starts and has a good chance if this longer trip suits.

This distance proved to be ideal for ONEMOREDANCE when she scored comfortably at Tipperary for a second time this season. Although she has to compete from just out of the weights here, it may not prevent her from going in again, with Rory Mulligan's 7lb claim a big plus. Esherann makes his handicap debut off a mark of 86 having made it third-time lucky at Naas, and Dermot Weld's beautifully-bred colt has to be feared. Not beaten far over slightly further in a Ballinrobe maiden last time out, Molto Amichi is another to note, as is Dancing Teapot.

Handicap debutant ESHERANN gets the vote over fellow 3yos Onemoredance and Dancing Teapot

Gordon Grey claimed this prize last season and also won on his latest start over hurdles at Worcester. He can go close, but races off 6lb higher than he did 12 months ago so the vote goes to his stable companion SECRET BEACH. A comfortable winner at York last week, he is due to go up 7lb for future contests and is hard to oppose if he remains at the same level. Pride Of Nepal is also of interest from the bottom of the handicap following his recent Pontefract second.

It is hard to get away from SECRET BEACH, who won an apprentice handicap by just over 2l at York last Friday and escapes a penalty today

GALILEO SAND has shown plenty of promise in three bumper outings, including at the Punchestown Festival, and looks the one to beat. The selection also has the benefit of course experience having filled the runner-up spot behind Midnight Jet in May. Maskarvel beat all bar the odds-on Davy Crockett on debut at Punchestown last month, while Hopeful Hero had a number of these behind when finishing well into third at Tipperary. Finny Maguire is an interesting booking on Desmond George, while Tandy's Bridge is another newcomer to keep an eye on in the market.

This looks like a good opportunity for GALILEO SAND who is progressing with every run and can gain compensation for a C&D 2nd last time

Indian Sunbird may have idled in front before holding on to win by a head at Southwell in May, but an added 5lb from the handicapper seems harsh enough, and HAMMER DAN is preferred. Two victories last year have been followed by two seconds in 2025 and he could get back to winning ways, despite a further 3lb rise.

There were plenty of positives to be gleaned from WALK THE HIGHLINE's debut second at Gowran Park last month and any improvement is likely to make her tough to beat. The daughter of Kodiac shouldn't be inconvenienced by potentially quicker ground conditions and should put her experience to good use. Generous Support, a sister to useful 6f winner Gaire Os Ard, is a potential fly in the ointment on her opening bid and market support would be interesting. Sears Crossing is the pick of the remainder.

This shouldn't take a lot of winning and WALK THE HIGHLINE showed enough at Gowran to believe she can provide the answer.

CRIMSON SPIRIT is the obvious pick as the four-year-old looks for his hat-trick after victories over this trip at Salisbury and Brighton. As the only C&D winner in the line-up, that maiden triumph in 2023 ticks an important box. A 2lb rise for a neck success last month may not be enough to stop him, although Revolutionise finished second that day and is entitled to make a race of it again. Mafnood ran on well here after a slow start last time out and he also makes the shortlist.

The progressive 4yo CRIMSON SPIRIT (nap) can complete a hat-trick. He had just a neck to spare at Brighton but still has more to offer.

PALPATATE was ridden by Anna McGuinness when placed on her latest three starts and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to open her account. The selection had both Goodmancon and Texas Red over 10 lengths behind when runner-up up to hot favourite Love Me Tender at Tramore and has probably run to a similar level since at Kilbeggan and Roscommon. Minella Supreme is a half-brother to six winners, including the smart Morning Supreme, and showed promise when third at Bellewstown. The market may give a guide to the relative merits of newcomers Myfavourite Friend and Something Simple.

A chance is taken on MINELLA SUPREME for an outfit that do well in bumpers and there was enough to like about his rules debut last time

More aggressive tactics saw Orange Diamond posting his best effort on these shores when finishing second over C&D in May. The seven-year-old warrants respect on his stable bow for Tom Ellis, but there is a sneaking suspicion that NACHTGEIST could leave his fifth-placed yard debut at Market Rasen behind. An extended 2m looked too sharp for the son of Highland Reel and moving up to 2m4f may prove fruitful. Boskill Borden is also noted.

A chance is taken on ORANGE DIAMOND who lost his way completely after arriving from France but ran much better here last time.

Having backed up her breakthrough victory here with a pleasing second at Fairyhouse last month, Tatum must enter the reckoning given her upward trajectory. However, a 4lb rise in the ratings does demand more from Noel Meade's filly and LA DAME BLANCHE could prove to be slightly better handicapped. The six-year-old appreciated a drop in class/trip when filling the runner-up spot at Tramore last week and, off an unchanged mark, compensation could be on the cards. Miss Nifty is also noted.

An open finale. OB LA DI (nap) who is in better nick than her form figures may suggest and this return to further looks the right move.

Apple Of My Eye is interesting after keeping on into fourth at Lingfield over 6f, and a mark of 63 seems fair enough ahead of her handicap debut. Manton Road won four times on the all-weather earlier in the year and is gradually slipping back down the handicap, but APPLE'S ANGEL is the pick. She kept on well to win at Lingfield over 5f and, if she gets the extra distance, she looks well weighted off a mark of 51 and with Jack Callan claiming 7lb.

Play Me can give another good account but this can go to APPLE OF MY EYE, who should appreciate the return to 7f on handicap debut.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
