1st (4) (2/1 +27%)Holy Legend |
2/1(+27%) | (4) Holy Legend 2/1, Scored by 13l off a 14lb lower mark at Fontwell penultimate start; improved again up in trip pulling clear with winner second last time, 4lb higher here; effective 2m-2m4f on soft and good; remain competitive off revised mark. Off the mark on his fifth attempt over fences at Fontwell (2m2f, good) in May and made the winner pull out all the stops when second over C&D (good) last month; in decent nick at present and looks sure to give a good account.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (4/1 +27%)Traveling Soldier |
4/1(+27%) | (5) Traveling Soldier 4/1, Did plenty early in first time visor but better effort in a handicap chase at Southwell most recent run; off a short-break; effective 2m-2m4f on soft and good; needs to build on latest. His sole success over fences came at Market Rasen (2m1f, soft) last July off 2lb higher; didn't offer a great deal once headed when third at Southwell (2m5f, good) last month in a first-time visor (retained) but has dropped to a career-low mark with Sean Bowen on board so all is not lost.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (6/1 +8%)Greer Hill |
6/1(+8%) | (3) Greer Hill 6/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here penultimate start; never put into the race but jumping never allowed him to get competitive last time, same mark here; effective 2m, acts on good; bit more to come over fences, may get this bit further. Nothing special over hurdles but made an immediate impact over fences, scoring at this track (2m, good; 28-1) last month; unable to replicate that form when beaten 47l over the same C&D three weeks ago and needs to bounce back on this step back up in trip.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (17/2 +23%)Crackerjack Queen |
17/2(+23%) | (7) Crackerjack Queen 17/2, Didn't find much having briefly threatened in a handicap chase here latest; effective 2-2 1/2m; probably bit more to come over fences. 0-9 under rules; not a bad effort when runner-up on her chasing debut at Southwell (2m5f, good) last month but beaten 23l over C&D since; needs to show more.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (11/4 -57%)A Little Something |
11/4(-57%) | (2) A Little Something 11/4, Scored by 12l off a 16lb lower mark at Fontwell penultimate start; would've won but for departing late last time; effective at around 2 1/2m, suited by decent ground; progressing now she's had her head in front. Has taken well to fences at around this distance, winning at Stratford and Fontwell before unseating at the last when still in front at Stratford (2m4f, good to firm) last month; she must come under consideration to get back on track.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (12/1 +45%)Boskill Borden |
12/1(+45%) | (8) Boskill Borden 12/1, Mistakes, outpaced, never in a rhythm on chase debut well beaten in a handicap chase at Southwell latest; returning from long layoff; effective 2 1/2m, acts on good; frustrating for new yard. Twice placed in 2m4f hurdle races here last summer (good) but ended last year's campaign on a low, achieving little on October's chasing debut; can't be certain he will hit the ground running in 2026.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (33/1 -50%)King Of The Story |
33/1(-50%) | (6) King Of The Story 33/1, Continued in poor form well beaten in a handicap chase here latest; effective 2m to 2m4f, acts on a sound surface; struggling of late. Two of his four wins over fences have been over C&D but he has been well below that level recently and is hard to fancy.. |

A LITTLE SOMETHING still had every chance when unseating her rider at the final fence at Stratford last time and success there would have made it three wins on the spin. She's had a few weeks to get over those exertions and might be worth another chance given she still has scope for further improvement. Holy Legend is the clear pick of the remainder, while Traveling Soldier isn't without a squeak.

1st (8) (11/2 -10%)Missouri Waltz |
11/2(-10%) | (8) Missouri Waltz 11/2, 24 Mar; £20,000 breeze-up purchase by Blackbeard; half-sister to Zihba, high-class at 8f; dam fair at 9f; very much considered on debut. 95,000gns yearling but re-sold for £20,000 at a breeze-up; tenth foal; half-sister to four winners, one over hurdles; dam placed 8.6f AW/1m4f turf; could go well on debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (6/1 +50%)Aljoon |
6/1(+50%) | (5) Aljoon 6/1, Moderate debut, lacked pace beaten 6 1/4l in a novice at Newbury on debut; top course jockey; bred for 7f/1m; improvement possible up to 7f now. 5,000gns breeze-up buy in April; beaten over 6l when tenth of 18 on Newbury debut 13 days ago (6f, good to firm; 33-1, Macau seventh but had already had a run), keeping on after missing a beat at the start; interesting one.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (4/1 -20%)Macau |
4/1(-20%) | (3) Macau 4/1, Similar level to debut beaten 3l in a novice at Newbury last time; effective 6f, acts on good to firm and AW; may be ready for 7f now. Improved on his debut run (6f, AW) when 3l seventh of 18 in a Newbury novice this month (6f, good to firm; 25-1, Aljoon back in tenth on debut); should improve again at 7f.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (15/2 -36%)Sara's Silver Girl |
15/2(-36%) | (9) Sara's Silver Girl 15/2, Modest debut beaten 5 1/4l in a novice at Ayr on debut; improvement needed but then again this isn't much of a race. Kameko filly who shaped quite well when fifth of ten on her debut at Ayr (7f, good; 40-1); should be sharper this time. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (2/1 +27%)Freshwater |
2/1(+27%) | (7) Freshwater 2/1, 6 Feb; Twilight Son filly; sister to a 6f winner in Italy; dam moderate at 10f; likely go well on debut in what looks a pretty weak race. Home-bred filly by Twilight Son; sister to an Italian 6f winner; dam ran twice at 1m2f; worth a market check on debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (33/1 -175%)Black Fury |
33/1(-175%) | (11) Black Fury 33/1, Some promise on debut when 4 1/4l fourth in a maiden at Newcastle first-time out; trainer in form; effective 7f on AW; improvement needed. By Arizona; half-sister to four winners; shaped well when fourth on her debut at Newcastle (7f; 25-1); should come on for that experience. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (18/1 -13%)Tradittion |
18/1(-13%) | (10) Tradittion 18/1, 10 Feb; Naval Crown filly; half-sister to Dan Troop, very useful at 8f; dam high-class at 6f as a 2yo; top course trainer but tough enough task on debut. By smart sprinter Naval Crown; half-sister to three winners (one over hurdles); dam Group-placed 6f 2yo winner; worth a betting check.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (80/1 -100%)Scarlet Dynasty |
80/1(-100%) | (4) Scarlet Dynasty 80/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a novice at Thirsk only start; major improvement needed. 9,000euros yearling; well-beaten 28-1 shot on Thirsk debut (6f, good to firm); can do better with that run under his belt.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (11/2 +15%)Havana Court |
11/2(+15%) | (1) Havana Court 11/2, Improved from moderate debut up to 7f when 6 1/2l third in a novice at Kempton most recent run; effective 7f on AW; more to come and this is a weak race. By Havana Gold; improved on debut run at Wolverhampton when 6.5l third at Kempton last time (7f; 12-1); quite interesting on turf debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (300/1 -200%)Hey Dougie |
300/1(-200%) | (2) Hey Dougie 300/1, Never in it after a slow start well beaten in a novice at Chester only start; impossible to make a case for. Home-bred; beaten over 17l when 11th of 12 in a Chester novice on debut this month (6f, good; 150-1); should come on for the run.. |

SARA'S SILVER GIRL displayed plenty of promise when filling fifth place on her racecourse bow at Ayr earlier in the month and she could be hard to beat with the benefit of that experience. Macau looks to be capable of making the frame in a race of this nature, while similar comments apply to Havana Court. Any market support for either of Freshwater or Missouri Waltz would have to be noted.

1st (3) (7/4 +7%)Full Of Life |
7/4(+7%) | (3) Full Of Life 7/4, Yard won this last year; hampered when weakening down the field in Killashee Hotel Handicap Hurdle (Listed) at Punchestown most recent; off a short-break; effective at 2-2 1/2m, acts on any; may have reached level over hurdles but not fully exposed in this sphere and has shown promise. Smart hurdler won a Grade 3 mares' novice at Down Royal last November; well beaten in the Cheltenham mares' novice after a break and was poor in a Punchestown handicap since; however, point winner ran well over fences on second go last year so is respected.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/8 +28%)Future Prospect |
13/8(+28%) | (4) Future Prospect 13/8, Travelled, out-battled and outstayed late, ran to form when second beaten a length in a beginners chase chase here latest; top jockey back on board; effective 2m; should be winning soon over fences. One of two runners for yard; point, bumper and hurdle winner is rated 129 in the latter sphere though she didn't really progress; looked like winning over 2m3f here on second chase start but maybe got outstayed; back to this trip should suit and a big player.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (9/2 -29%)La Note Verte |
9/2(-29%) | (6) La Note Verte 9/2, Needed run on chase debut but not disgraced 7l third in a beginners chase chase at Killarney most recent run; off a short-break; effective 2-2 1/2m on good; dual hurdles winner should come on for latest. Second runner for yard; bumper and dual hurdle winner wasn't at her best on last two 2025 hurdle runs; returned from an absence with a sound chasing debut at Killarney in May; should be better for that and looks a big player.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (28/1 -12%)Beauforts Storm |
28/1(-12%) | (1) Beauforts Storm 28/1, Continued in poor form back over hurdles well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Sligo latest; effective 2m, suited by decent ground; useful hurdler at her best, yet to fire over fences. Bumper and hurdle winner ran her best race over fences when second at Tramore in May over this trip; poor back over hurdles at Sligo last time and others have stronger claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/2 -38%)Farfromnowhere |
11/2(-38%) | (2) Farfromnowhere 11/2, Needed run comfortably held in a beginners chase chase here last time; effective 2m1f-2m5f, acts on yielding to soft, good; debut form franked at top level; likely has more to offer. Point, bumper (here) and dual hurdle winner began her chasing career with a solid second at Cork last November; has been disappointing twice since including a poor effort back here last time; questions now.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (200/1 -300%)Kaylasjet |
200/1(-300%) | (5) Kaylasjet 200/1, Pulled up in a maiden point at Ballingarry latest; off a short-break; showed little in points, all to prove and looks out of depth. Pulled-up in three of four point starts this year; can't be fancied against these on rules debut.. |

FULL OF LIFE disappointed on her last two starts in smart company, but is a Grade 3 winner and can get off the mark on her return to fences. A debut point-to-point winner, the selection is ideally suited by good ground and will have benefited from being freshened up. Future Prospect finished fourth at Grade 1 level over hurdles and has recent chase form, while La Note Verte heads the remainder.

1st (1) (14/1 -17%)Mt Fugi Park |
14/1(-17%) | (1) Mt Fugi Park 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase here latest where stopped quickly after bad error; off a short-break; effective 3m (didn't quite stay 3m6f), acts on sound surface; inconsistent, mark demands more. Scored for the second time over fences at Market Rasen (3m, good) in April when making all; pulled up after not being allowed an uncontested lead over C&D (good) the following month; still holds claims if on his game.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (11/4 +21%)Axel Bleue |
11/4(+21%) | (8) Axel Bleue 11/4, Improved suited by stiff test landing a handicap by 3/4l off a 5lb lower mark here last time; effective 2m7f, acts on good; dual bumper winner remains on generous chase mark, more to come. Landed a couple of bumpers last year and got his act together on his third chase start when scoring over C&D (good) three weeks ago, just ahead of Gwash; there should be more to come with that first win under his belt and he's another with possibilities.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (6/1 -100%)Regal Renaissance |
6/1(-100%) | (2) Regal Renaissance 6/1, Well treated up 5lb, improved again back down in trip landing a handicap by 2l off a 2lb lower mark at Market Rasen last time; effective 2m4f, just about gets 3m, suited by decent ground; consistent sort should go close again. Signed off with Henry Daly with her second win over fences, at Ludlow (2m4f, good) in May; subsequently sold for £22,000 and made an immediate impact for her new stable when securing wins at Uttoxeter (3m, good) and Market Rasen (2m6f, good); this will be tougher but she's in top form and should go close.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (6/1 +8%)Harrys Hope |
6/1(+8%) | (6) Harrys Hope 6/1, Tired late back from a break, needed run when second beaten 16l in a handicap chase at Stratford latest; usually held up; consistent at 2m4f-3m2f on sound surface; should come on for latest. Has only finished out of the first two twice in 11 runs over fences; should be sharper for her second at Stratford (2m7f, good) last month, following an eight-month absence, and holds place claims at least.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (4/1 +53%)Court In A Storm |
4/1(+53%) | (4) Court In A Storm 4/1, Did plenty early and set it up for closers when fourth beaten 26l in a handicap chase at Newton Abbot latest; effective 3m, acts on good; fair mark on hurdle form, more to come over fences. Bumper and dual hurdle winner; made a promising start over fences when runner-up over C&D (good) in May; may have had his stamina stretched when last of four at Newton Abbot (3m2f, good) last month and may warrant another chance.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (10/1 +17%)Tiger Orchid |
10/1(+17%) | (3) Tiger Orchid 10/1, Scored by 4l off a 3lb lower mark at Uttoxeter penultimate start; below form back over fences last time, 1lb lower here; effective 3m, suited by decent ground; generally back in form of late. All three chase wins have been over C&D, including in this equivalent race in 2023; equally effective over hurdles with three wins, the most recent at Uttoxeter (3m, good) last month; last of five finishers when back over fences at Cartmel (3m1f, good) last time but cannot be dismissed around here.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/2 -10%)Gwash |
11/2(-10%) | (7) Gwash 11/2, Travelled, improved from debut just out-battled late by strong stayer beaten 3/4l off a 4lb lower mark here last time; usually held up; effective 2m3f-2m7f, acts on good; thrown in on old efforts and running back into form. Hasn't won since landing a Warwick maiden hurdle in April 2024; has an inconsistent profile but ran well on his second start over fences when runner-up to Axel Bleue over C&D (good) three weeks ago; that run puts him in with a shout.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (80/1 -344%)Jaramillo |
80/1(-344%) | (5) Jaramillo 80/1, Never jumped or travelled, below form up in grade comfortably held in a handicap chase at Wincanton last time; returning from long layoff; effective 2 1/2m, needs sound surface; stiff mark. Dual hurdle winner whose only win over fences (seven starts) came at the expense of two rivals at Newton Abbot in April 2025 (2m5f, good); last three runs, in particular, leave him with some questions to answer right now.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (11/1 -10%)Grillon De Monty |
11/1(-10%) | (9) Grillon De Monty 11/1, Ran to form when second beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap chase here latest; effective up to 3m, acts on good; in good form over fences. Won twice over C&D last summer but has been beaten off this mark three times this term and likely needs to come down the weights before he can be seriously considered.. |

This is a competitive heat and Regal Renaissance will no doubt prove popular with all of those ones next to her name. She has progressed nicely this spring/summer and goes in search of a fourth straight success, but conceding a chunk of weight to AXEL BLEUE will be no easy task following his determined C&D success three weeks ago at the expense of Gwash. Harrys Hope might appeal most to those looking for an each-way play in the race.

1st (2) (7/4 +68%)Koodini |
7/4(+68%) | (2) Koodini 7/4, Lacked pace tried in cheekpieces 5 1/2l third in a nursery at Nottingham most recent run; top course jockey; effective 6f on sound surface; might benefit from 7f now. Five-race maiden who has been placed (over 6f) on last three starts, latest in first-time cheekpieces at Nottingham (nursery debut) when below form but shaping as if he's ready for a crack at 7f; solid claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/2 +8%)Bigalo |
11/2(+8%) | (4) Bigalo 11/2, Likely flattered beaten 6l in a novice at York last time; might improve now handicapping up to 7f. Has failed to land a blow in 6f contests; latest effort (seemed to run well at 250-1 odds) possibly isn't reliable and opening mark may overestimate him; figures aside, he looks the type who has perhaps been crying out for a 7f nursery.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (6/5 +56%)Hamdani Mokhater |
6/5(+56%) | (5) Hamdani Mokhater 6/5, Ran to form tried in cheekpieces beaten 3/4l off this mark at Leicester last time; trainer in form; effective 7f on sound surface; more to offer. Gelded prior to running well in first-time cheekpieces at Leicester (7f, good to firm) last week on nursery debut, finishing second of ten; may well build on that effort and take another step forward; leading player off same mark.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (15/2 -36%)Dakota Brave |
15/2(-36%) | (3) Dakota Brave 15/2, Ran to form when fourth beaten 5l in a maiden at Chepstow latest; effective 7f on a sound surface; more to come, chance here. Has shown improvement in a couple of maiden races (AW/turf) since upped to 7f, creditable fourth at Chepstow latest; bred to do better still, being half-brother to two winners for his stable; interesting nursery debutant.. |

HAMDANI MOKHATER put in a career best when a close second on his nursery debut over 7f at Leicester last week and James Horton's gelding is hard to oppose off the same mark here. Little Lady Karen has shown ability in both previous starts and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Koodini should not be discounted.

1st (6) (6/4 -25%)Sky Lord |
6/4(-25%) | (6) Sky Lord 6/4, Jumped poorly when fourth beaten 11l in a novice chase at Punchestown latest; cheekpieces first time; effective 2m, should get bit further in time; consistent until latest. Smart hurdler has run some fine races in defeat over fences; best effort when second in a 2m1f Cork handicap off a mark of 130 in April; not as good twice since but cheekpieces are added and a big player if at his best.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (50/1 -355%)Centreofattention |
50/1(-355%) | (1) Centreofattention 50/1, Pulled up in a beginners chase chase at Kilbeggan latest where never jumped or travelled; effective 2m, acts on good to soft; likely capable of better over fences but probably one for handicaps. Bumper winner for Nicky Henderson in 2024 but lightly-raced since, latterly for this yard; not a bad chase debut at Punchestown last November but was pulled-up at Kilbeggan 12 days ago so questions to answer.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (17/2 +39%)Coul Dreamer |
17/2(+39%) | (2) Coul Dreamer 17/2, Returned to form back down in trip when fourth beaten 2 1/4l in a maiden at Killarney latest; effective 2m, acts on good; inconsistent in both codes, hurdles winner could play a part on chase debut. Yet to win on the Flat but ran a fine race in a Killarney maiden over 1m last time; juvenile hurdle winner in 2024 was disappointing when last seen in that sphere; has a bit to find on chasing debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (20/1 -100%)Killeemore Lad |
20/1(-100%) | (4) Killeemore Lad 20/1, Ran to form, up in grade and the weights well beaten in a handicap at Limerick latest; in good form prior; effective 2m; absent for very lengthy period; progressive on Flat and over hurdles; has had issue, likely to need this on chase debut. Second runner for yard; dual hurdle winner in 2023 scored on the Flat in 2024 and some good hurdle runs in defeat too; likely best watched on return from a long absence and chasing debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (8) (6/4 +50%)William Tell |
6/4(+50%) | (8) William Tell 6/4, Given bit too much to do but finished well on promising chase debut when second beaten 1 1/4l in a beginners chase chase here latest; effective 2-2 3/4m, acts on good; more to come over fences, likely to get further in time but big chance if getting decent test. Maiden and novice hurdle winner last season up to 2m6f but lost his form afterwards; rebounded with a fine effort over C&D on chasing debut, running on late; has a shout if building on that.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (3) (11/2 -10%)Jet Setting Jim |
11/2(-10%) | (3) Jet Setting Jim 11/2, Mistakes, never threatened comfortably held in a beginners chase chase at Sligo last time; returning from long layoff; effective 2m on good; inconsistent. One of two runners for yard; bumper and maiden hurdle winner for John Queally has had seven chase runs, with best effort a close second at Tipperary last year; has a shout if at his best on return for a new yard.. |

SKY LORD finished eighth in the 2025 Supreme and can put his chase experience to good use here. The selection was beaten just over three lengths in a Grade 2 novice hurdle last year and this might be the time to catch him wearing first-time cheekpieces. William Tell ran well on his chase debut here last month but might struggle to beat the selection. Jet Setting Jim is capable of being in the mix if ready to go after a break.

6/5(+52%) | (9) Provision 6/5, Improved again under positive ride 5l third in a maiden hurdle here most recent run; effective 2m, acts on good; steadily progressing over hurdles, likely capable of better judged on Flat form. Record of 0-5 on Flat and 0-3 over hurdles but he has proved broadly consistent and penultimate effort has worked out well; creditable third over C&D latest; solid claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (15/8 -106%)Iwanttobreakfree |
15/8(-106%) | (8) Iwanttobreakfree 15/8, Promising debut 6l third in a bumper at Uttoxeter most recent run; trainer in form; effective 2m, acts on good; more to come over hurdles for top yard, likely to get further. Has shown some promise in Irish point and Uttoxeter bumper, finishing second then third; represents the champion trainer and remains open to progress; respected hurdles debutant.. |

11/2(+31%) | (7) Faithful Guardian 11/2, Outpaced, modest debut comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective 2m, acts on good; showed promise in bumpers, needs more over hurdles. Comfortably held over C&D (hurdles debut) last time but this looks a weaker race; one of the main players on his bumper form, which culminated in third-place finish at Worcester.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (66/1 -100%)Devon Red |
66/1(-100%) | (2) Devon Red 66/1, Continued in poor form down the field in a conditions race at Trebudannon most recent; hood first time; absent for very lengthy period; showed little in points, all to prove. Rules debutant who has to overcome a long absence and holds poor claims on his point form (bumpers/fences); best watched unless the market suggests otherwise.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (200/1 -614%)Delgany Second Now |
200/1(-614%) | (6) Delgany Second Now 200/1, Outpaced, needed further well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; trainer in form; usually held up; more to come over hurdles for top yard but will likely want further. Stablemate of Iwanttobreakfree; has cut little ice in three races (both hurdles attempts over C&D) and looks one who'll be more interesting when qualified for handicaps.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (80/1 -142%)Military Saint |
80/1(-142%) | (3) Military Saint 80/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen latest; point winner, likely needs further over hurdles. Took seven attempts to open his account in Irish points; folded tamely over 2m4f switched to rules last time; drops further in distance.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (6/1 +33%)Arcon |
6/1(+33%) | (1) Arcon 6/1, Never put into the race, looking for a mark comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective 14-16f, acts on good, AW; multiple Flat winner, should be capable of better over hurdles. Has shown promise over hurdles; caught the attention of the stewards last time; may be more interesting in handicaps but he is one of the better types in this field, being a dual Flat winner.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (28/1 -56%)Trackman |
28/1(-56%) | (5) Trackman 28/1, Improved for debut experience comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective 14f; longstanding Flat maiden, all to prove including stamina. Low-grade maiden on the Flat; modest fifth over C&D in latest attempt over hurdles; no certainty to improve on that effort.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (125/1 -150%)Galeforcechopper |
125/1(-150%) | (10) Galeforcechopper 125/1, Outpaced, never threatened comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective 2m, acts on good; may be one for longer trips further down the line over hurdles. Thrice-raced mare who isn't solid on form; recorded a meagre RPR over C&D on hurdles/stable/seasonal debut.. |

IWANTTOBREAKFREE might be able to score on his hurdling debut for leading connections. Second in an Irish point-to-point, he made his debut for the Skeltons at Uttoxeter earlier in the month and showed some ability to finish third in a bumper. Quickly switched to timber, you can expect he's been well schooled at home and going jumping should bring about the required improvement. Others to keep an eye on include Provision and Faithful Guardian.

Three-time C&D winner (twice on soft, once on good to firm); runner-up over C&D on first two starts this season (good); also a good third here two runs back but ran poorly latest, on his first run on good to firm this season; perhaps ideally suited by softer nowadays.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 +42%)Good Karma |
7/2(+42%) | (4) Good Karma 7/2, Ran to form second beaten 3/4l off 60 last time, 2lb higher here; effective 6-8f, probably acts on any; competitively weighted still. Won his first race since September 2024 when scoring at Chester last time (7f, good; third run in cheekpieces, runner-up third there the next day); up 3lb; goes well on fast ground; a possible.. |

Off the mark for the season when making all at Pontefract last time (6f, good); his other five wins have all been over 7f (two sound runs on both C&D starts); well drawn; a possible.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (5/1 -43%)Vega Storm |
5/1(-43%) | (6) Vega Storm 5/1, Step back in right direction beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 6/7f; more to come, chance here. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (22/1 -83%)Patontheback |
22/1(-83%) | (8) Patontheback 22/1, Again below form beaten 6l in a handicap at Musselburgh last time; suited by 7f, wants a sound surface; hard to fancy. C&D winner in June 2024 (good to firm) and 7f Musselburgh winner last August; has not been in the best of form this season, but 4lb lower than last winning mark.. |

Ideal Guest and Kings Merchant are both recent winners that are likely to be popular once again. That said, this is more demanding off their new marks and preference is for the unexposed VEGA STORM. The three-year-old caught the eye when fourth on just his second handicap start over C&D two weeks ago and he makes plenty of appeal off 1lb lower.

3/1(+25%) | (4) Lady Doyanne 3/1, Yard has won last two runnings of race; every chance, ran to form on chase debut 8l third in a handicap chase at Tramore most recent run; that form franked; off a short-break; effective 2m; may get bit further over fences but the one to beat here. 10/1(-54%) | (6) Stoneyford Lady 10/1, Outpaced, looked in need of stiffer test comfortably held in a handicap chase at Roscommon last time; effective 2m-2m2f, acts on soft and good; can build on latest but when stepped back up in trip. Third runner for yard; maiden over hurdles but opened her account in a 2m2f handicap chase at Thurles last November; has been below that level thrice since and needs a return to best.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (15/2 -50%)Trasna Na Pairce |
15/2(-50%) | (1) Trasna Na Pairce 15/2, Mistakes, taken on up front, made too much use of well beaten in a handicap chase here latest; effective 2m-2m6f; may do better when stepped back up in trip and looks stable second string here. Dual hurdle winner at Clonmel is yet to score over fences but has posted several solid runs in defeat; beaten 7l at Kilbeggan over 2m4f but was out of his comfort zone early over C&D last time; the cheekpieces worn then are removed; needs best.. |

9/2(-29%) | (2) Mercury Mission 9/2, Made too much use of comfortably held in a handicap chase here last time; effective 2m, acts on soft, good; generally consistent, should be winning soon over fences. Two of his three hurdle wins came at this track; some solid runs in defeat in beginners' chases but seemed to do too much in front when well beaten in a C&D handicap last time; can do better with more restraint.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (11/4 -10%)Tequila Talkin' |
11/4(-10%) | (5) Tequila Talkin' 11/4, Made too much use of, ran well for a long way 22l third in a handicap chase here most recent run; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on good; can do better over fences possibly over further in time. Won a 2m4f maiden hurdle at this track last year; hit and miss since but her best chase run came in a C&D handicap two starts ago; well below that level since and has to rebound.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (14/1 +30%)Tuckmill |
14/1(+30%) | (3) Tuckmill 14/1, Outclassed down the field in Listed Handicap Chase at Punchestown most recent; off a short-break; effective 2m, suited by decent ground; needs drop in grade. Three-time hurdle winner scored sole chase win at Down Royal in November 2024; however, lost his form last summer and two runs this year don't inspire confidence.. |

Ex-point-to-point-winner LADY DOYANNE ran well on her chase debut when third at Tramore in May and Henry de Bromhead's mare is more than entitled to improve on that effort. Tequila Talkin' finished well held in third here last month and is capable of being in the mix, while the selection's stablemate Trasna Na Pairce never travelled in that aforementioned race and needs to show more.

1st (9) (9/2 -13%)Without Burlington |
9/2(-13%) | (9) Without Burlington 9/2, Continued winning ways, in great form at present when winning a handicap at Yarmouth by 1 1/4l last time; returning from long layoff; progressive over middle distances on Flat, can make an impact over hurdles. Low-mileage 4yo who was successful (at about 1m4f; fair form) in last two Flat starts for Kevin Philippart de Foy, latest in October; sold for 52,000gns and gelded since; interesting, assuming he transfers ability to hurdles.. |

Not the force of old (one-time useful Flat handicapper) but has shown consistent hurdles form at Stratford this summer, close second to odds-on shot over 2m last time; solid claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (7/2 +22%)Earnest Belief |
7/2(+22%) | (7) Earnest Belief 7/2, Ran to form, still a touch green under pressure 5 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle here most recent run; effective 2m, acts on good to soft; should have more to offer over hurdles judged on Flat form. Record of 0-6 on Flat and 0-4 over hurdles but has largely consistent form, creditable third over C&D most recently; this race is of a similar standard; again has place claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (15/2 -50%)Bound For Glory |
15/2(-50%) | (5) Bound For Glory 15/2, Flattened out late after series of errors, very promsiing debut 19l third in a maiden hurdle at Stratford most recent run; effective 2m-2m2f, acts on sound surface; progressive in bumpers, more to come over hurdles. Scored by wide margin, albeit in weak race, at Stratford on final bumper start; finished 12l behind Penzance over hurdles there since but may do better still; one of the main players.. |

5th (1) (40/1 -21%)Happy Chandler |
40/1(-21%) | (1) Happy Chandler 40/1, Did too much too soon down the field in a handicap at Leicester most recent; in good form prior; 10f Flat winner; stamina to prove on hurdle debut. Record of just 1-20 on Flat, the success in Class 6 handicap over 1m2f in April; form dipped last time; brings limited potential to this change of code.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (250/1 -67%)Majestic Leo |
250/1(-67%) | (8) Majestic Leo 250/1, Stopped quickly well beaten in a handicap at Leicester latest; effective at 10f, acts on AW; regressive in both codes. Has shown poor form on Flat for current yard and remains a maiden under that code; pulled up in both hurdles attempts; enough to prove back in this sphere.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (17/2 -31%)Starshine Legend |
17/2(-31%) | (4) Starshine Legend 17/2, Outpaced, failed to build on debut comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Perth last time; effective 14-16f, acts on good to firm, good; Flat winner should have more to offer over hurdles. Beaten about 14l in both attempts over hurdles but likely to fare better today as this looks an easier assignment and he's one of the stronger options on Flat form, which includes a win.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (40/1 +0%)Lucky Diamond |
40/1(+0%) | (2) Lucky Diamond 40/1, Outpaced, modest hurdle debut, needed run comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective 2m, acts on good; showed promise in bumpers, may have more to offer over hurdles. Best effort in bumpers when third at Worcester; soundly beaten over C&D switched to hurdles last time, however, and may be more interesting in handicaps later on.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (66/1 -32%)Delgany Headline |
66/1(-32%) | (6) Delgany Headline 66/1, Green, never in the race well beaten in a novice hurdle at Warwick only start; trainer in form; returning from a break; from good yard but likely to need more time. Represents major stable but was friendless in the betting and well beaten in Warwick contest in March; had wind surgery since; the market may again guide the way.. |

Penzance has found one too good the last twice, with both of those efforts coming at Stratford, and he holds an obvious chance to go one better. However, EARNEST BELIEF outran his odds of 16/1 to make the frame over track and trip on his latest outing and a repeat of that display might be good enough. Bound For Glory is another to keep a close eye on.

Unexposed; ran her best race when a staying-on third of six over 1m2f at Nottingham last time (1m2f, good to firm), shaping as though a further step up in trip would suit; contender.. |

2nd (4) (8/1 +11%)Fairydale |
8/1(+11%) | (4) Fairydale 8/1, Yard won this last year; ran to form down to 12f when fourth beaten 8l in a handicap at Ripon latest; top course trainer; effective up to 14f; needs more. 28/1(+0%) | (6) Project Kinsman 28/1, Again below form comfortably held in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective at 10f on AW; bounce back needed and stamina to prove. Placed in a couple of Newcastle handicaps on 1m2f in April/May but has not done as well on last two runs, latest when tried at 1m4f (weakened over 1f out); plenty to prove on turf debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (2/1 -60%)Riddikulus |
2/1(-60%) | (3) Riddikulus 2/1, Hit the line well up to 12f when landing a handicap by a short-head off a 4lb lower mark at Ripon last time; effective 8-12f, acts on good and AW; chance again with more to come. Off the mark on first run at 1m4f (had been tried over 1m6f previously) when winning by a short head at Ripon last time (good; blinkers back on; first two well clear); the second won by 8l at Pontefract on Friday, so this 3yo may well be well in off just 4lb higher; the one to beat.. |

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 -38%)Clova Royale |
22/1(-38%) | (5) Clova Royale 22/1, Again ran to a poor level beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Wetherby last time; bred to be a miler; yet to show much ability. Unexposed; has not shown a great deal, beaten just over 6l when eighth of ten at Wetherby on last month's handicap debut (1m2f, good to firm; 33-1); should improve at 1m4f, but plenty to find.. |

Riddikulus got off the mark at the eighth time of asking at Ripon earlier in the month when proving too strong in the final strides. However, she will need to improve from that effort after a 4lb rise and it is difficult to ignore the credentials of SOUND GLORIA. Roger Varian's filly took a decent step forward when third on handicap debut at Nottingham and the extra couple of furlongs seem likely to yield further progression. Spirit Of Tokyo heads the remainder.

Winning hurdler and although 0-8 chasing finished second in this race two years ago and went close on a few occasions last year; going okay when unseating three from home when back chasing at Thurles when last seen in November; may need this but goes well here so worth consideration.. |

Wexford specialist, winning twice over hurdles last year and off the mark chasing in C&D handicap last month, overcoming attentions of loose horse at the last in outstaying L'Amiral Fromentin by 3.75l (good); up 6lb but major player.. |

Both hurdle wins came on easier ground but has been running well in defeat on good ground this year; having just third run over fences when third of 4 finishers in 2m5f Cartmel novices' handicap last month, only weakening late on; back in trip here and not one to rule out.. |

12/1(+40%) | (9) Getaway Henry 12/1, Scored over hurdles by 2 1/4l off a 5lb lower mark at Clonmel penultimate start; below form up in class off revised mark last time, same mark here; effective 2m, needs sound surface; inconsistent, bit more needed on chase debut. Gained second hurdles win back on his favoured good ground over 2m1f at Clonmel last month but well held off 4lb higher over slightly further 12 days ago; switches to fences now but lack of experience a possible negative.. |

22/1(-57%) | (10) Only A Dollar 22/1, Outpaced, never threatened, outclassed comfortably held in a beginners chase chase at Tramore last time; off a short-break; effective 2m; likely one for handicaps over fences and looks on a dangerous mark. |PU| (2) (12/1 -41%)Keep On Dreaming |
12/1(-41%) | (2) Keep On Dreaming 12/1, Disappointing down in trip down the field in a handicap chase at Roscommon most recent; effective around 3m on a sound surface; mark looks stiff. Dual point-to-point winner (soft) is 0-4 in hunter chases and dropped out tamely after forcing much of running on handicap debut at Roscommon last month; first run on ground this quick and hard to have confidence in.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (20/1 -25%)Dontdooddson |
20/1(-25%) | (13) Dontdooddson 20/1, Ran to form well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Roscommon latest; effective 2m-2m3f, acts on any; in decent form but poor strike rate. Veteran bagged a fourth win in 2m1f handicap hurdle here last summer (good); recent hurdles form just okay so more needed on return to fences (hasn't won over fences in nearly 5 years).. |

CHOSEN SHANT is a veteran mare but nonetheless is an obvious pick, having won over C&D last month. Although it took her a long time to initially score, she won twice over hurdles here last summer and a fifth at Listed level behind Spindleberry last November also reads well. Keep On Dreaming is a dual point-to-point winner on soft ground and could bounce back from some underwhelming displays. Top-weight Farrokh and Justicialism complete the shortlist.

7/2(+56%) | (4) Tilehurst 7/2, Needed run comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time; cheekpieces first time; effective 2m, acts on good to soft and good; generally consistent, good attitude and has been knocking on the door. Yet to win over hurdles and hasn't kicked on from his promising second at Taunton (2m, good) on his handicap debut in March; first-time cheekpieces need to have a significant impact.. |

4/1(-33%) | (7) Playful Fox 4/1, Improved back down in trip landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark at Stratford last time; trainer in form; effective 2m, acts on soft, good; progressing in handicaps. Opened his account over hurdles with a smooth success at Stratford (2m, good to firm) last month; there should be more to come but this looks a better contest so a bit more improvement required.. |

85/40(+15%) | (3) Media Mogul 85/40, Ran to form benefitting from drop in grade back from a break after wind op when winning a maiden hurdle here by 4 1/2l last time; second run after wind op; effective 2m, acts on good; generally very consistent in both codes, could progress now handicapping over hurdles. Got off the mark on his third run over hurdles, following wind surgery, in a maiden over C&D (good) last month, without his usual cheekpieces (also absent today); makes handicap debut and there should be more to come.. |

4th (2) (20/1 -43%)Break Point |
20/1(-43%) | (2) Break Point 20/1, Scored by a neck over 2m on the Flat at Kempton penultimate start; ran to form last time; effective 2m on good, unlikely to stay further; generally in good form in both codes; danger. Scored over hurdles for Olly Murphy last August; below that form for current yard in two runs this term but scored on AW last month; more required back over hurdles.. |

Scored at the third attempt over hurdles in a maiden over C&D (good) last month with first-time tongue-tie (retained); there should be more to come from this mare on her handicap debut.. |

6th (1) (25/1 -178%)T Or Coffey |
25/1(-178%) | (1) T Or Coffey 25/1, Too slow away from stalls in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective 2-2 1/2m, needs sound surface; maiden winner when last seen over hurdles; likely to need this after lay off. Ex-Irish; got off the mark over hurdles at Stratford last July; had three runs on AW in the autumn and makes first handicap start over hurdles in Britain following eight-month layoff; could have a say if fully tuned up.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (6/1 -50%)Ez Tiger |
6/1(-50%) | (6) Ez Tiger 6/1, Bit free and caught late by race fit rival but ran to form beaten 2l off a 1lb lower mark here last time; effective 2m on sound surface; progressive, handicapper may be catching up. Two of his five wins over hurdles have been over C&D; has a decent record fresh and made a solid return when runner-up over C&D (good) last month; 5lb higher than his last winning mark though and a career-best is required.. |

MEDIA MOGUL was the ready winner of a maiden hurdle over C&D last month and can build on that to make a winning handicap debut. Fellow track-and-trip scorer and handicapping newcomer Kernie D'airy is a must for the shortlist, while the more experienced Ez Tiger is a dependable type that would be dangerous to rule out. Similar comments apply to Break Point, who reverts to jumping after showing resurgent form on the Flat.

Front-runner who has done all his winning at Newcastle (AW) and Ripon, most recently in May on debut for new stable; has remained in form; should take well to Catterick, given his style of racing; possibilities.. |

5/4(+38%) | (3) L'eagle Aid 5/4, Ran to form beaten 2l off this mark at Chester last time; top course jockey; best around 12f on a sound surface; can go well again. Gradually coming back to form this term and last two efforts, both at Chester, can be marked up (met late trouble latest); remains on last winning mark and he is 1-1 over C&D (novice success two years ago); respected assuming fortune is back on his side.. |

4th (4) (10/3 -48%)Hibernate |
10/3(-48%) | (4) Hibernate 10/3, Ran to form second beaten a short-head off 70 last time, 1lb higher here; trainer in form; suited by 9/12f, acts on soft and firm; chance if building on latest. Largely in good form this term, notably two wins in the spring; ran well, beaten narrowly by the market leader, in four-runner field at Yarmouth (11.5f) latest run; upped in grade but receives weight all round; solid chance.. |

HIBERNATE bids for a third success of the year after bouncing back from a disappointing effort at Beverley when a short-head second at Yarmouth. The four-year-old gets the vote at the main expense of Something, who is better than his latest effort at Ripon suggests having won at the same track and finished second at Pontefract prior. L'Eagle Aid hasn't been running too badly at Chester recently and is expected to be in the mix.

Progressive in handicaps in the first half of last season, gaining a third handicap success in 2m4f Clonmel mares' event in October; back to her best in first-time cheekpieces in 2m1f Limerick Grade 3 early this month, staying on for third behind two much higher-rated rivals; dam has already produced a couple of winning chasers so quite possible she could improve for the switch to fences.. |

Dual-purpose 5yo gained his third win on the Flat in 1m5f Navan handicap in April, okay run in better-class Curragh contest following month; hurdles win came in 2m1f maiden here last summer, soft ground was probably against him in subsequent handicaps; back on better ground here could go well if taking to chasing.. |

5th (4) (25/1 -25%)Jackson Lamb |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Jackson Lamb 25/1, Improved for debut experience well beaten in a beginners chase chase here latest; enjoys making it; effective 2m2f-2m6f, suited by good; progressive novice hurdler last autumn, likely capable of better than he's shown so far over fences. 118-rated hurdler won Bellewstown maiden and Kelso novice late last summer on good ground; two chase efforts underwhelming, may need more time.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (15/2 +17%)Colleen Danu |
15/2(+17%) | (11) Colleen Danu 15/2, Jumped poorly, hampered by faller when fourth beaten 22l in a beginners chase chase here latest; effective 2 1/2m, acts on good; can do better over fences when brushing up on jumping. Three wins in 2m4f handicap hurdles, including repeat victory in Clonmel contest in May; none too fluent on chase debut over C&D last month so plenty more needed.. |

9/1(-50%) | (3) Glenashling 9/1, Never competitive after series of errors, may not have stayed down the field in a handicap chase at Punchestown most recent; effective 2m, unproven at further, acts on any; generally consistent. Down Royal maiden hurdle winner early last year; 0-8 chasing but has shown a useful level of form in beginners' events and when second in 2m1f Cork handicap; dropped out tamely at Punchestown last month over 2m4f so questions to answer on that run.. |

40/1(-233%) | (1) Boston Jury 40/1, Mistakes, needed run comfortably held in a beginners chase chase at Tramore last time; top jockey back on board; off a short-break; effective 2 1/2m, acts on good; likely capable of better judged on hurdle form but up against it here. Became disappointing over hurdles after winning his maiden and has offered very little in two attempts chasing, including on Tramore comeback in late May; jumping needs improvement.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (80/1 -142%)Figurehead |
80/1(-142%) | (2) Figurehead 80/1, Didn't find much having briefly threatened comfortably held in a handicap chase here last time; visor first time; effective 2-2 1/4m, acts on yielding, good; probably a bit flattered by novice form. Maiden in all spheres after 47 starts; has run well in defeat at times over fences but hard to see him making the breakthrough here; first-time visor.. |

QUEENOFTHELODGE is a capable four-time hurdle-winner who can score on chase debut and is helped by receiving 7lb from the geldings in this restricted chase. The selection progressed well over hurdles and having finished third in a Grade 3 at Limerick earlier this month, she arrives here in top form and will be well schooled by this season's leading point-to-point handler. Mickie Angel ran well over C&D earlier this month and while he has plenty of chase experience, is vulnerable to a more progressive type. Los Blanco was well held at the Punchestown Festival in April but had previously shown nice form and can do well over fences.

7/2(+56%) | (7) The Grayster 7/2, Pulled up in a 4yo hurdle at Doncaster latest where outclassed; trainer in form; effective 2m, acts on good to soft; unexposed for top yard but needs more to get off the mark. Encouraging hurdle debut when 12l second at Doncaster (2m, good to soft) in November and ran to a similar level when fifth at Haydock the following month before pulling up in January; has since undergone wind surgery and his pedigree suggests this longer trip will suit on handicap/stable debut for Dan Skelton; interesting contender.. |

5/2(+25%) | (3) Little Ledgend 5/2, Ran to form but looked in need of stiffer test when second beaten 11l in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen latest; cheekpieces first time; effective up to 2m-2m7f, acts on soft and good; in form, should come on for latest, longer trip would suit. 0-8 over hurdles but made the frame on all three starts since switched to handicaps, most recently at Market Rasen (extended 2m5f; just in front of Estacas) in June with a tongue-tie added; looked hard work there and cheekpieces are now tried, but Sean Bowen returns and he's a leading contender.. |

28/1(-56%) | (6) Midnight Jewel 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Stratford latest; returning from long layoff; effective 2 1/2m, acts on sound surface; wants to dominate; better over fences and likely to need this. Gained a tenth career success when scoring over fences at Fontwell in October off a 13lb higher mark, but ended the year with two pulled-up efforts; returns from a 277-day break with something to prove back over hurdles, but he's bounced back from quiet spells before.. |

12/1(-9%) | (11) Medina Blue 12/1, Outpaced, poor run well beaten in a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot latest; ; placed in a point, may need more time and further over hurdles. Twice runner-up in Irish points but has only hinted at ability in three novice/maiden hurdles (2m-2m1f) for this stable; needs to take a marked step forward on this switch to handicaps but the move up in trip should suit.. |

5/1(+50%) | (5) Estacas 5/1, Bit free in front 12l third in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen most recent run; effective 2m-2m4f, wants sound surface; chance if building on latest couple of runs. Couldn't hold on when attempting to make all at Market Rasen (extended 2m5f, good) in June but that was still a solid effort, only narrowly denied second by Little Ledgend late on; should go well again, with Luke Scott able to claim 3lb this time.. |

14/1(-40%) | (8) Bashful Boy 14/1, Got racing early 12l third in a handicap hurdle here most recent run; effective up to 2m4f, best on sound surface; competitive mark if bouncing back. On a long losing sequence but returned to some form when back from a break and finishing a 12l third of five over C&D 12 days ago, ridden by Rian Corcoran; respected off 4lb lower.. |

Sedgefield winner in September under Freddie Keighley; that form has some substance but he failed to build on it in a higher grade next time; ran well enough on his return at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) in first-time cheekpieces last month and blinkers are now tried, but he remains on a tough mark.. |

Built on June's reappearance when keeping on for third over 2m here 12 days ago, in a race she had won in 2024 and 2025; yet to prove she needs this far but is on a good mark and could figure if staying the trip.. |

Still a maiden over hurdles after 13 starts but looked set to put that right at Fontwell (2m3f, good) in April, only to fall at the last when mounting his challenge, after a similar break to today's; up 2lb but Paddy Hanlon retains the ride and this 6yo is worth considering.. |

66/1(-164%) | (4) Achille Des Rocs 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Southwell latest having been taken on up front; effective 2m-2m3f, acts on good; struggling since lay off. Dual hurdle winner in late 2024 but pulled up on both starts (over fences/hurdles) since an absence; cheekpieces (worn on last three starts) are removed; others make more obvious appeal.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (125/1 -279%)Pivotal Days |
125/1(-279%) | (9) Pivotal Days 125/1, Never in the race, likely found ground too quick well beaten in a handicap at Bath latest; effective 2m over hurdles; poor so far this term in both codes. Hasn't beaten a rival on the Flat this year since switching stables and has been well held in three hurdle starts, although he wasn't beaten far when sixth of nine here (2m) in May; moves up in trip for handicap hurdle debut with something to prove.. |

BLUE UNIVERSE still held every chance when he blundered and fell at the last in a similar event at Fontwell and it would be no surprise to see him put the record straight with a win if his jumping holds up this time. With several of the rest struggling to find their form, it might be best to whittle the shortlist down to Little Ledgend, The Padster and Estacas, who could all have an impact at this level.

66/1(-164%) | (4) Howzak 66/1, Again well below form well beaten in a handicap at Carlisle latest; enjoys making it; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; bounce back needed. 28/1(-133%) | (3) Woodhay Whisper 28/1, Never in it from off the pace beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap here last time; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; bounce back needed. Three-time AW scorer who holds weak claims on her two efforts since joining new yard and returned to turf, last of five at Catterick (5f) latest; 0-8 in this sphere; others preferred.. |

MISS RAINBOW has been in consistent form on the turf during 2026 and returned to form, following a poor effort at Newcastle, when third at Carlisle earlier in the month. In what appears to be a winnable contest, Tracy Waggott's mare is taken to strike. The combination of a second run after wind surgery, a first-time visor and dropping back in trip might aid the cause of Highfield Sunshine, but a bigger threat is likely to come from Barmyblade, who scored at Thirsk two starts ago.

Has a poor win record, 1-13 over hurdles and 1-30 over fences; however has been in the frame lots of times including last four chase starts up to 3m2f; should go well again off an unchanged mark.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (11/4 -22%)Nastya |
11/4(-22%) | (1) Nastya 11/4, Ran to form, aided by late faller landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Limerick last time; off a short-break; effective 3m, suited by decent ground; progressing, should come on for latest. Hurdle winner has taken well to chasing, winning two of her five starts; won a Killarney beginners' last October and a Limerick handicap on return, both over approx' 3m; fell at Down Royal in between; up 4lb but should go well again.. |

SCALPNAGOON has yet to win from seven previous runs over fences but now contests his first handicap chase which may give him the opportunity he has been waiting for. Teenage Kiss was narrowly beaten here on her chase debut last month and being just a five-year-old, can progress further over this slightly longer trip. Top-weight Nastya was a most fortunate winner of a Limerick handicap in May but should still figure from 4lb higher here.

25/1(-14%) | (12) Citizen Jane 25/1, Every chance, below form when fourth beaten 33l in a handicap chase at Stratford latest; acts on good; multiple point winner yet to show much under rules. Won her third point when beating two rivals in April; made an encouraging stable/chase debut when second at Stratford (extended 2m3f, good to firm) last month but may have done too much without the hood when fading into fourth over 2m6f there ten days ago; reverts to hurdles from out of the weights and others make greater appeal.. |

12/1(+33%) | (4) Barry Fife 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle here latest where still green and never travelled; blinkers first time; effective 3m, acts on good; yet to build on promising debut. Has struggled to recapture his earlier promise since returning from almost a year off in March and has made little impact in two handicap starts this summer, most recently when pulled up over C&D three weeks ago; may be capable of better but first-time blinkers need to prove a positive addition.. |

Three-time hurdle winner, all at around this trip on good ground; he needs things to fall right and remains on a challenging mark, though a reproduction of his Southwell second last month would give him place claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (11/1 -10%)Roxboro River |
11/1(-10%) | (1) Roxboro River 11/1, Below form back over fences comfortably held in a handicap chase at Cartmel last time; in good form prior; effective 2 1/2-3m, wants sound surface; inconsistent but chance on recent hurdles form here. Back over hurdles just four days after a below-par chase run at Cartmel; twice runner-up in this sphere during the summer, including over C&D in refitted cheekpieces last month; major player if bouncing back to that level.. |

Showed more in a first-time visor when third at Market Rasen after a three-month break last month and backed that up with a 5.25l fifth of 12 on handicap debut there 17 days ago; eased 1lb in the weights and another step forward would put him firmly in the picture.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (15/2 +32%)Spitalfield |
15/2(+32%) | (6) Spitalfield 15/2, Outpaced, never threatened comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; blinkers first time; effective 3m-3m2f on a sound surface; bit to prove at present. Just 1-27 under rules, with his sole success coming more than two years ago; recent efforts have offered some encouragement with the addition of cheekpieces and he's been eased a further 2lb, but still has something to prove with blinkers now tried.. |

|U| (8) (33/1 +0%)Swingforthefence |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Swingforthefence 33/1, Never put into the race well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Sedgefield latest; tongue-tie first time; returning from a break; showed promise in novices but yet to fire in handicaps. Has yet to show anything worthwhile in five hurdle starts, including in two handicap runs since cheekpieces were fitted; steps up in trip with a tongue-tie added after a 112-day break but has plenty to prove.. |

Dan Skelton has found a very winnable race for BACK TO CALI to make another bid for glory. Consistent during his time in Ireland, the six-year-old went agonisingly close on his stable debut at Stratford late last month and a step forward off 4lb higher could suffice. Citizen Jane gets plenty of weight from the selection and is dangerous to ignore on these terms, while Mancero and Roxboro River are other capable players.

MAN'S BEST FRIEND sets the standard on the strength of his debut fourth, form which has already been boosted significantly. This No Nay Never colt was learning throughout that run and finished off encouragingly. New Bond Street was strongly supported on debut, but she failed to deliver after breaking slowly and showing signs of greenness. The 200,000gns breeze-up purchase is sure to come forward for that experience, and the initial confidence may be vindicated. Anglesea Bridge was also slowly away and green on debut, but he should improve and has a place chance.

20/1(-100%) | (7) Ninth Crusade 20/1, Improved in new headgear combination beaten 3l off this mark at Dundalk last time; top course jockey; effective 5/6f, acts on AW; on a fair mark. Breeze-up purchase cost £205,000; justified favouritism on debut at Wolverhampton (6f); failed to build in two subsequent outings in Britain, including when highly tried in a Group 3 event at Kempton; runner-up on the second of two Dundalk nursery outings; could be well primed for return.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (12/1 -140%)Ohailbhic |
12/1(-140%) | (2) Ohailbhic 12/1, Improved again, scored with bit in hand landing a handicap by 2l off a 7lb lower mark at Dundalk last time; returning from a break; effective 6-8f on good and AW; new mark asks back from a break returning to turf. In good form at Dundalk early in the year; third when favourite for a 7f handicap; showed improvement when going up to 1m, recording back-to-back wins; might find this trip inadequate on his first outing after a break.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (6/1 +33%)Flaming Rib |
6/1(+33%) | (4) Flaming Rib 6/1, Ran to current form beaten 3l off a 3lb higher mark at Down Royal last time; suited by 6/7f, acts on any; well treated but needs more. Seven wins, but none yet in Ireland after five attempts, rated 113 at his peak after finishing second in the 2023 Commonwealth Cup; fourth of nine at Down Royal on last, when running off a career-low mark of 75, drop in trip may help after five 7f runs for this yard.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (12/1 -9%)Soulful Diva |
12/1(-9%) | (5) Soulful Diva 12/1, Ran to form on return beaten 3 1/4l off this mark at Fairyhouse last time; effective 5/6f on very soft, good and AW; chance if building on latest. Won a 5f Cork maiden last August (good); out of her depth in a Longchamp Group 3 later that month; fourth in a conditions race at Dundalk in September; should be better for her run at Fairyhouse three weeks ago on first attempt at this trip; signs are that she can stay well enough.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (12/1 +0%)All Hail |
12/1(+0%) | (10) All Hail 12/1, Step back in right direction beaten a length off a 1lb lower mark at Navan last time; effective 5/6f on good; chance if building on latest. Dropped away quickly on handicap/seasonal debut at Fairyhouse in May; close-up Navan fourth last time was reassuring and more in keeping with a 3l second in a maiden at the same venue on his third and final start at two.. |

BAD BOY RIZZ should have arguably won on his penultimate start at Cork and ran respectably last time out. Now dropped to a rating of 81 and back down in grade, he looks to have a good chance under Shane Foley. I Bid You Ajou runs off a career-high mark, but he is really consistent and the partnership with Dylan Browne McMonagle being retained is a positive. Flaming Rib returns to 6f for the first time in over a year and that may spark a revival.

13/2(-44%) | (1) Almekarem 13/2, Ran to current form when fourth beaten 6l in a handicap at Chelmsford latest; effective 8/9f, acts on AW; needs to settle better. Unraced at two; won five-runner Wolverhampton novice (8.5f, AW) in September and similar form since entering handicaps in October; two turf runs were his worst but was gelded earlier this year and it's still early days on this surface.. |

2nd (2) (11/8 +21%)What's The Plan |
11/8(+21%) | (2) What's The Plan 11/8, Ran about to form beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Ripon last time; trainer in form; effective 7-10f, acts on good, fast ground and AW; chance if able to build on recent efforts. Confirmed earlier juvenile promise when taking 7f AW maiden here (first-time hood) in September; solid effort when third of 12 upped to this trip at Salisbury in May and was unlucky not to finish closer when fourth at Ripon (also good) five weeks ago; hood removed but he still looks a key player.. |

3rd (3) (11/4 -10%)Emma's Letter |
11/4(-10%) | (3) Emma's Letter 11/4, Improved dropped in trip landing a handicap by a neck off a 3lb lower mark at Nottingham last time; effective 8-10f, stamina to prove over further, acts on a sound surface and AW; chance to follow up. Similar run of juvenile form included a win in Newcastle novice (1m, AW) last year and it was a first win since when taking Nottingham handicap (good to firm) over this trip three weeks ago; 3lb nudge but the runner-up has won since; firm contender.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/2 -57%)Don Pablo Colina |
11/2(-57%) | (4) Don Pablo Colina 11/2, Improved for the step up in trip on handicap debut beaten 2l off this mark at Epsom last time; significant jockey booking; effective 10f, acts on good to firm; can go well again. Unexposed sort who stepped it up a little when third of seven on his handicap debut at Epsom (good to firm) a fortnight ago; that was his first crack at this trip and Oisin Murphy now takes the reins; should be capable of better; interesting.. |

Emma's Letter returned to the form displayed in nursery company throughout December when scoring at Nottingham at the start of the month. The daughter of Saxon Warrior commands plenty of respect off a 3lb higher mark, but DON PABLO COLINA is preferred. Third on his handicap debut at Epsom, the booking of Oisin Murphy is significant and he is capable of improving off the same rating. What's The Plan appeals most of the remainder.

1st (1) (1/10 +55%)Star Velocity |
1/10(+55%) | (1) Star Velocity 1/10, Improved for debut experience down in trip when winning a maiden at Ffos Las by a length last time; top course jockey; effective 5-6f, acts on AW, good; debut form franked, could defy penalty. Caught the eye when keeping on for third on her debut at Southwell (6f, AW) last month and built on that when winning at Ffos Las (5f, good; hung left) eight days ago; leading contender under a penalty.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/2 -65%)Court Alert |
11/2(-65%) | (2) Court Alert 11/2, Ran to form 2 1/4l third in a novice at Nottingham most recent run; effective 6f, acts on good to firm; inconsistent but showed useful form at 2, yet to match that this year but chance on these terms. Seven-race maiden whose best effort came when a 1l second of 20 in a sales race at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) last August; not yet replicated that form since and left the impression he may be happier back over 6f when third at Nottingham (5f, good to firm; first-time blinkers) 18 days ago.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (66/1 -136%)El Ghuwah |
66/1(-136%) | (3) El Ghuwah 66/1, Outpaced, looked in need of stiffer test beaten 8 1/2l in a novice at Nottingham on debut; bred to be suited by around 7f; likely to need more time. Half-brother to 7f AW winner Gordon Norse (RPR 82); 33-1 but did hint at ability when a never-dangerous fifth of nine on his debut at Nottingham (5f, good to firm; behind Court Alert) 18 days ago; may be one for a slightly longer trip.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (100/1 +0%)Red Legs |
100/1(+0%) | (4) Red Legs 100/1, Improved on poor debut albeit still nearer last beaten 10l in a novice at Yarmouth last time; bred to be suited by around 1m; plenty to find. Down the field in two 6f novice events at Windsor (good to firm) and Yarmouth (soft) last month and looks one for handicaps later on.. |

STAR VELOCITY was made to work hard to justify cramped odds when winning at Ffos Las but she is still learning her trade and a similar display of tenacity could see her double up here. Court Alert has snippets of form that give him solid claims in a race of this nature, while El Ghuwah and Red Legs have improvement to find and might have to settle for a scrap for third.

11/1(+45%) | (4) Big Negotiator 11/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 2l in Tipperary Stakes (Listed) here latest; visor first time; effective 5/6f, acts on yielding and good; limitations exposed in Queen Mary but competitive at this level. Battled well to beat subsequent winner Divine Whisper by a short head at York on third start; down the field in the Queen Mary; met interference when fourth in a C&D Listed race early this month; her once-raced stablemate Concorde Landed looks superior.. |

2/1(-14%) | (8) Shimmering Sun 2/1, Bit too much to do and good effort beaten 4l in Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2) at Ascot last time; effective 5f, acts on good and fast ground; nice sort, can still rate more highly. Debut Salisbury winner; ran well enough in the Queen Mary to be rated a serious contender; received a bump in the early stages, and had plenty to do before staying on to finish seventh (fifth of 13 in her group) behind the Irish-trained Victorious.. |

Stepped up from her debut fifth at the Curragh to win a 5f Cork maiden on soft ground; appeared not to stay 6f in a Group 2 at the Curragh, fading into fourth behind the Albany Stakes runner-up; hood used then is discarded for this return to the minimum trip.. |

4th (5) (6/5 +13%)Concorde Landed |
6/5(+13%) | (5) Concorde Landed 6/5, Travelled, scored with loads in hand when 5l winner in a maiden here on debut; effective 5f on good; more to come from this promising sort. Sioux Nation filly; E200,000 breeze up buy in May; made a favourable first impression with a 5l C&D win; fourth-placed Shi Yang won at the Curragh last Saturday; very promising sort, holds entries in the Lowther and the Moyglare.. |

5th (10) (9/1 +25%)Tropical Crown |
9/1(+25%) | (10) Tropical Crown 9/1, Fair debut 3l winner in a novice at Beverley; effective 5f on good to firm; more to come for top yard that won this in 2024. Overcame inexperience to win at Beverley; takes a big jump in class but might not be out of place in this grade; trainer won this with the well-fancied Miss Lamai two years ago.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (50/1 +24%)Shesthedevil |
50/1(+24%) | (7) Shesthedevil 50/1, Improved to get off the mark, hit the line well down in trip when winning an auction race at Navan by 2 1/4l last time; effective 6f on good; looks to have the speed for 5f, needs more up in grade. Ordinary form in maidens at Listowel and Down Royal; stepped up considerably on those runs to win at Navan on a superb day for her trainer; up against it at this level. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (8/1 +11%)April Mist |
8/1(+11%) | (1) April Mist 8/1, Built on debut to score with a bit in hand when winning a maiden at Bellewstown by 2 1/2l last time; top course jockey; effective 5f, acts on good; more to come upped in grade. Promising introduction when second in a fillies' maiden over C&D; rider reported she was slightly intimidated by the winner two furlongs down; readily justified favouritism at Bellewstown; a lot more on her plate now but worth a shot in this grade, with sustained progress on the cards.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (150/1 -50%)Eastern Queen |
150/1(-50%) | (6) Eastern Queen 150/1, Very promising effort beaten 2 1/2l in an auction race at Bellewstown on debut; bred to be suited by around 7/8f; should improve a little for initial experience but this is too tough. 25-1 on debut at Bellewstown when ran on well in the closing stages; faces a huge task here.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (80/1 +36%)Back To The Lodge |
80/1(+36%) | (2) Back To The Lodge 80/1, Poor debut well beaten in a maiden at Cork only start; cheekpieces first time; major improvement needed at this level. Towards the back on debut at Cork; this is highly ambitious against that background.. |

CONCORDE LANDED was well supported when winning impressively on debut and holds Lowther and Moyglare Stakes entries, with her trainer suggesting the former is a potential target. She gets a narrow vote over Shimmering Sun, who won well on debut before finishing seventh in the Queen Mary, staying on late after a messy start. Silent Beauty won very well on debut before bombing out in the Albany, which is excusable. Tropical Crown is another to consider.

11/2(+0%) | (1) The Craftymaster 11/2, Scored by 14l off a 7lb higher mark at Wolverhampton penultimate start; ran to form second beaten a neck off 65 last time; top course trainer; best at 14-16f, all reliable Flat form on AW; previous turf efforts a concern, but good chance if translating current form. He wasn't disgraced off this much lower turf mark when fifth at Bath (2m1f, good) last month and romped away with Wolverhampton handicap (16.5f, AW) a fortnight later; posted another good effort on AW last time and a first turf win isn't out of the question.. |

10/1(+29%) | (2) Fram Castle 10/1, Below form well beaten in a handicap at Epsom latest; visor first time; effective 12-16f, suited by AW; needs to bounce back up in trip. Sole win came in a 2m AW handicap for Dominic Ffrench Davis last June; also acts on turf but he was beaten a long way in a basement event at Epsom (1m4f, good) on his stable debut three weeks ago; goes back up in trip in an added visor.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (11/1 +56%)Lilykoy |
11/1(+56%) | (7) Lilykoy 11/1, Ran about to form beaten 8l in a classified race here last time; effective around 11f, acts on good to soft; more needed trying 2m for the first time. Her fifth of 13 in Windsor classified (11.5f, good to soft; first-time cheekpieces) was a first hint of ability six weeks ago but that hasn't been built on in two starts over 1m4f this month; does have an Ascot Gold Cup winner in her pedigree so might not be a forlorn hope upped to 2m.. |

4th (6) (10/11 +34%)Lucky Sevens |
10/11(+34%) | (6) Lucky Sevens 10/11, Landed a handicap by a neck off a 3lb lower mark at Brighton three starts back; won a juvenile hurdle at Stratford second jumps start last time; effective 2m, acts on good and good to firm; in good form both spheres. Unraced at two and it was just his second handicap when off the mark at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm; first-time cheekpieces) in April; didn't appear to stay 11.5f here in May but he won again at Brighton (1m2f) the following month and got the better of Tiny Riot over hurdles ten days ago; interesting his shrewd yard is happy for him to tackle 2m in this sphere.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (11/4 -69%)Tiny Riot |
11/4(-69%) | (4) Tiny Riot 11/4, Returning to this sphere after a decent spell over hurdles; top jumps yard; pedigree mix of speed and stamina, effective 2m, acts on good; not without a chance upped in trip back on the Flat Kept on when fifth of nine on his handicap debut over 1m2f at Nottingham (good) in April and he then won the first juvenile hurdle of the jump season in June; may have been unlucky not to make it two when beaten by Lucky Sevens at Stratford ten days ago and he has clear potential now asked to tackle a staying trip in this sphere.. |

25/1(-108%) | (3) Cherry Cola 25/1, Much below form well beaten in a handicap here latest; off a short-break; suited by 14+, acts on any except soft; needs plenty more. All six of her wins came on turf, the last three over 1m6f; she hasn't won since September 2023, however, and was beaten 22l over C&D (good) on her reappearance in May; will need to have derived plenty of benefit from that.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (80/1 -100%)Marinakis |
80/1(-100%) | (5) Marinakis 80/1, Ran to current level when fourth beaten 16l in a handicap here latest; effective 10-12f, acts on AW; form a concern and good bit to prove on turf. Three-time winner at up to 1m2f on AW for Ian Williams but he's yet to click in four starts around 1m4f for this yard; new trip needs to spark a revival.. |

THE CRAFTYMASTER is 15lb lower on turf after a wide-margin success at Wolverhampton at the end of last month which was followed by a runner-up effort at the same venue when dropped in trip. The six-year-old hadn't disgraced himself prior to those efforts when fifth at Bath and is expected to come out on top. Lucky Sevens is a potential improver up in trip after winning over hurdles at Stratford where he got the better of the reopposing Tiny Riot, who may have more to offer back on the level.

Has shown improved form since returning from a two-month break, winning at Windsor (1m, good to firm) in May and three good efforts since, most recently when a 1l second of seven at Chepstow (1m, good to firm); once again has strong claims.. |

18/1(-140%) | (4) Ivat Ghia 18/1, Needed run beaten 10l in a novice at Lingfield last time; effective 7-8f, acts on good to firm, AW; type to do better when handicapping. Big prices and beaten at least 8.5l in each of her three starts but she did show some promise when a never-dangerous sixth of 12 at Lingfield (1m, AW; first-time hood) two weeks ago; hood is retained and she could yet do better now tackling a handicap.. |

3rd (5) (33/1 +0%)Dora Vita |
33/1(+0%) | (5) Dora Vita 33/1, May not have stayed beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Brighton last time; effective 7f, 1m may suit better, acts on AW; needs to bounce back. Eight-race maiden who has been well beaten in both starts on turf, including when beating only one rival home in the race won by Buckland Belle at Windsor (1m, good to firm) in May; others preferred.. |

4th (2) (4/1 -20%)Lope Y Linda |
4/1(-20%) | (2) Lope Y Linda 4/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 9lb lower mark at Catterick in May; bit free but ran to form last time, 1lb higher here; seems effective 5-8f on sound surface and soft; in good form of late, go well again. Doubled her tally when making all in a soft-ground classified event at Ayr (7f) last month before finishing a good second in a handicap there (good) next time; below her best over 7f here last week and this free-going sort will need to settle now back at 1m.. |

5th (1) (7/1 -40%)Able Astra |
7/1(-40%) | (1) Able Astra 7/1, Bit free but ran to form down the field in a novice at Doncaster most recent; hood first time; top course jockey; effective 7f on sound surface; type to do better now handicapping. Well held on her debut at Kempton (7f, AW) in December and has run to a similar level in two starts on turf this year; steps up to 1m with a hood added for her handicap debut and she may well do better.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (22/1 +0%)Sporty Socks |
22/1(+0%) | (6) Sporty Socks 22/1, Made too much use of comfortably held in a handicap at Yarmouth last time; cheekpieces first time; effective at 8f, acts on AW; maiden looking exposed. Nine-race maiden who was runner-up on Kempton AW last August but she's been well beaten in six starts on turf, including at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) three weeks ago; first-time cheekpieces need to make a difference.. |

BUCKLAND BELLE has been placed in all three starts since she made a winning debut on turf at Windsor in May and that reliability earns her the vote here. Lope Y Linda has also been dependable and is unlikely to be too far away if she matches anything like her best, while Able Astra and Ivat Ghia won't need to raise their games by much to be the best of the rest.

Starman filly who took her record to 3-4 when seeing off eight rivals in 6f Goodwood Listed race (good) in early May and better again when third in Group 3 Summer Stakes at York 12 days ago, having shown plenty of pace; sets a good standard and major chance.. |

25/1(-56%) | (10) Dancing Saxon 25/1, Ran to form, always doing enough when winning a Rated Race at Limerick by a neck last time; trainer in form; effective 6/7f, acts on sound surface; progressive sort, well worth shot at this level. Mixed form last season but has come good on latest two starts, in AW maiden in February and 11 days ago in Limerick rated race (6.5f) staying on late to assert; type to continue improving but this a considerable step up in class.. |

10/1(+17%) | (2) Fregada 10/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 2l in Dash Stakes (Listed) at the Curragh latest; suited by 6f, acts on good unproven on other surfaces; consistent enough. Very promising start to her career, winning a Curragh 2yo maiden in September 2024 before narrowly denied in a rated race over today's C&D on last summer's comeback run; some okay runs this season, not least on latest when good fourth (having had to be switched) in Curragh Listed last month; one to consider.. |

Leopardstown Listed winner at two (7f) hasn't won again since but ran well in Group 3 there last summer over same trip; just okay runs both starts this term, blinkers tried at same track last time; takes a drop in trip here which could prove troublesome.. |

25/1(-56%) | (7) Treasure Rose 25/1, Improved again down to 6f when winning a handicap at Fairyhouse by a head last time; effective 6-10f, acts on soft and good; improvement needed here. Series of placings in maidens and has made an immediate impact in handicaps, winning at Down Royal (7f, soft) and early this month back at 6f when getting up late at Fairyhouse on quicker ground; clearly progressive but this represents a big jump in class.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/1(+0%) | (5) Sarahmae 11/1, Improved again off new mark when second beaten a neck in a handicap at the Curragh latest; effective 5/6f, acts on soft and good; thriving of late, could go well at this level. Progressing really well at 5f this campaign, recording back-to-back handicap wins last month at Cork and Down Royal and only narrowly denied the hat-trick at the Curragh in the valuable Rockinghan; not sure the return to 6f will suit but thriving and well worth this shot at Listed level.. |

Landed Bellewstown maiden from the front early this month (5f, good) and ran well for a long way in Curragh handicap on Sunday; different kettle of fish here though.. |

7/1(+36%) | (13) Tahcawin 7/1, Bit below form beaten 4l in Dash Stakes (Listed) at the Curragh last time; in good form prior; effective 6/7f, acts with cut and on good; may have plateaued. Fairyhouse nursery winner last season her sole win but huge improvement to finish third in Group 3 Lacken Stakes over C&D in May; not at same level in Curragh Listed on latest so more needed.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (14/1 -17%)Likedbymike |
14/1(-17%) | (3) Likedbymike 14/1, Ran to form 2l third in a Conditions Race here most recent run; effective 5f, acts on heavy and good; poor strike-rate but respected here. Sole win in 19 starts came in Cork maiden but has strung together a series of good efforts in decent sprint company this season, notably seconds in Listed events both here and at Cork, most recently third in conditions event here early in the month; best form at 5f so possibly vulnerable at this longer trip.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (66/1 +0%)Temperance |
66/1(+0%) | (6) Temperance 66/1, Ran about to form after a long absence beaten 5l in Dash Stakes (Listed) at the Curragh last time; usually held up; suited by 6f, acts on yielding and fast ground; gets behind early but may come on from reappearance run. Won a C&D handicap off 75 last season; safely held since, most recently seasonal return in Curragh Listed last month; lots to find.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (40/1 -43%)Little Queenie |
40/1(-43%) | (4) Little Queenie 40/1, Made too much use of beaten 5l in Dash Stakes (Listed) at the Curragh last time; effective 5/6f, best on sound surface; more needed at this level. Likeable mare ran a cracking race on her return from the AW to finish a close third in Fairyhouse conditions event (6f, good) in June; not at same level later in month in Curragh Listed and good bit to find with Fregada on that run.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (12/1 +0%)Xerling |
12/1(+0%) | (14) Xerling 12/1, Ran to form when second beaten a neck in a Conditions Race here latest; effective 5/6f, acts on yielding, good and AW; improving, could go well. Landed Cork maiden last month and improved hugely early this month when only reeled in close home by a 102-rated rival (Likedbymike third) in five-runner conditions event here (5f, good); has lots of speed, not sure this extra furlong will play to her strengths.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (12) (28/1 -40%)Oh Cecelia |
28/1(-40%) | (12) Oh Cecelia 28/1, Never got involved and touch disappointing beaten 6l in Dash Stakes (Listed) at the Curragh last time; visor first time; effective 5/6f, acts on soft, good and probably AW; not beaten a rival last two starts. In good form this season since joining this yard, winning twice and career-best second in Group 3 Lacken Stakes over C&D in May (good); well below that level however both starts since at Listed level (hung left latest); visor now replaces hood.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (15) (12/1 +0%)Yellowstone Lake |
12/1(+0%) | (15) Yellowstone Lake 12/1, Didn't quite stay 1m but ran to form up in grade beaten 6 1/2l in Kooyonga Stakes (Listed) at Navan last time; cheekpieces first time; effective 6/7f; needs more but this trip a help. Lightly raced filly whose four runs have all been over further, notably Dundalk AW maiden win at two; last month's comeback run in Navan Listed was disappointing (slow to break) but remains open to improvement; drops in trip with cheekpieces tried.. |

This contest has gone to UK raiders for the last two years, and SOUL LOVE has great claims to extend that trend for Karl Burke. She has progressed with each start, winning at Listed level before finishing third in a York Group 3. The Starman filly sets the standard and is expected to double her tally in this grade. Fregada's run against Big Gossey last time out was a step back in the right direction. Tahcawin and Oh Cecilia are closely matched on their recent meeting, although slight preference is for the former.

1st (4) (9/4 +10%)Miss Moneypit |
9/4(+10%) | (4) Miss Moneypit 9/4, Below form up in trip, market expected better beaten 9l in a novice at Chepstow last time; in good form prior; trainer in form; effective 5f, acts on soft and good; can bounce back returned to minimal distance. She had Dee's Star and debutante Romidijo behind when encouraging fourth of 12 at Ascot (5f, good) in May on her second start; hasn't kicked on in a maiden and novice subsequently but maybe Oisin Murphy can help her get back on track in this nursery debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/4 -22%)Romidijo |
11/4(-22%) | (3) Romidijo 11/4, Ran about to form beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Chepstow last time; bred for speed, effective 6f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; generally consistent in short career, of interest back over the minimal trip. Tail swisher who ran well when second of seven in Chepstow nursery (6f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; makes first start at 5f since her debut and she's respected with Billy Loughnane taking over.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (20/1 -25%)Targa |
20/1(-25%) | (8) Targa 20/1, Ran about to form beaten 4 1/4l in a nursery at Chepstow last time; pedigree all speed, but yet to find suitable conditions; hasn't shown much in short career. Finished just over 2l behind Romidijo when fifth on her nursery debut at Chepstow (6f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; raced very freely that day so this return to 5f should help and there's a suspicion we've yet to see the best of her.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/3 +5%)Dreamlover |
10/3(+5%) | (2) Dreamlover 10/3, Ran about to form beaten 5l in a seller at Leicester last time; effective 5/6f, acts on a sound surface; obvious chance on handicap debut. Beaten favourite in a 5f novice at Southwell (AW) on his debut in May; gelded and blinkered for his second run when showing some improvement in Chester maiden (6f, good) last month but he didn't build on that in Leicester seller, when also looking quirky, 18 days ago; still early days, however, and the drop back to 5f looks a good move for his first nursery.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (11/2 +50%)Sable Island |
11/2(+50%) | (1) Sable Island 11/2, Ran roughly to form beaten 3 1/2l off a 3lb higher mark at Yarmouth last time; effective 5f, acts on firm ground and AW; showed promise in maidens, mark might still be stiff. Form in four starts has a slightly uneven look to it and she finished sixth of eight on her nursery debut at Yarmouth (5f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; she'll need more in the retained cheekpieces. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (11/1 -22%)Invicta Rose |
11/1(-22%) | (5) Invicta Rose 11/1, Ran about to form beaten 7 1/4l in a novice at Newbury last time; yet to find suitable conditions; worth a go dropped to the minimal trip. Failed to improve across four qualifying runs but her fifth of 11 in Newbury novice (6f, good to firm) wasn't a bad effort a fortnight ago; didn't shape like she was begging to be tried at 5f that day, however; nursery debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (14/1 +36%)Dee's Star |
14/1(+36%) | (7) Dee's Star 14/1, Below form of first two starts well beaten in a seller at Musselburgh latest; blinkers first time; seems effective 5f, acts on good; showed some promise prior, needs to bounce back. Second start and she was one place behind Miss Moneypit when fifth of 12 in Ascot novice (5f, good) in May; that was encouraging so finishing last in a Musselburgh seller one month later takes some explaining; blinkers go on for this first nursery and it's too soon to write her off.. |

ROMIDIJO filled the runner-up spot on her nursery bow at Chepstow a fortnight ago and the daughter of Ardad has every chance of getting off the mark at the sixth attempt. Dreamlover has shown some promise in three runs to date and is capable of being in the mix, along with Miss Moneypit, who may benefit from dropping back to 5f.

1st (1) (5/4 +38%)Liveinthelight |
5/4(+38%) | (1) Liveinthelight 5/4, Ran to form landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off a 6lb lower mark at Ffos Las last time; effective 10/11f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; more to come and new mark fair. Made a winning handicap debut at Ffos Las (1m2f, soft) last month before going close at Nottingham (1m2f, good to firm), then beat three rivals at Ffos Las (1m4f) eight days ago; should have more to offer and she's respected under a 6lb penalty (goes up same amount in future).. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (1/2 +78%)Caraway |
1/2(+78%) | (4) Caraway 1/2, Scored by 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Thirsk penultimate start; ran to form just tiring late up in trip on softer ground last time, same mark here; effective 12f, suited by AW, good, soft; small, looks thorough stayer, could progress again. Off the mark at the sixth attempt when winning at Thirsk (1m4f, good) in May off 5lb lower but she seemed stretched by 1m6f on soft at Nottingham since; this drop back in trip looks a good move and she has to be respected.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/1 -67%)Semper Femina |
5/1(-67%) | (3) Semper Femina 5/1, May not have stayed well beaten in a handicap at Goodwood latest; stays 11f, acts on AW, soft; fair mark but stamina to prove. Ran well when second of seven on handicap debut at Goodwood (1m2f, soft) last month but she was said to have moved poorly when tailed off there one week later; that needs forgiving but she may bounce back.. |

LIVEINTHELIGHT is the obvious one after a couple of wins at Ffos Las and a near miss at Nottingham sandwiched in between. Given the daughter of Teofilio had plenty in hand last time, a 6lb penalty might not prevent her from going in again. Caraway looks to be the biggest barrier in the way, despite being unable to justify favouritism last time out. Any support for the handicap-debutant Musical Accord would be dangerous to ignore.

17/2(-6%) | (6) Dinamine 17/2, Best work late up to 1m beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Bellewstown last time; cheekpieces first time; drawn on wing of large field; effective 7f/1m on sound surface; chance if building on latest. Two wins to his name; best effort in four runs this year when close third at Limerick (7f, yielding) in May; slow break costly at that track a day later; not beaten far in fifth at Bellewstown early this month; first time with cheekpieces.. |

2nd (11) (7/1 -27%)Famous Enough |
7/1(-27%) | (11) Famous Enough 7/1, Back to best beaten a head off a 5lb higher mark at Dundalk last time; drawn on wing of large field; effective 8/9f on a sound surface; respected back on turf. A 1-22 turf record is worrying; however, he holds a good chance if reproducing the form of recent Dundalk second, which gives him an edge over Akashaa (sixth).. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (18) (8/1 +27%)Mullacash Buzz |
8/1(+27%) | (18) Mullacash Buzz 8/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off this mark at Bellewstown last time; enjoys making it; effective 7/8f, appears better AW nowadays though mark reflects that; inconsistent but capable. Losing run on turf stretches back to 2022; stronger record on AW but good effort at Bellewstown on latest.. |

4th (15) (22/1 +12%)Duchess Anne |
22/1(+12%) | (15) Duchess Anne 22/1, Struggled again when comfortably held in a maiden at Gowran Park last time; returning from long layoff; hard to make a case for. All six races in 2025 were over longer distances; hard to fancy unless the change of emphasis makes a big difference.. |

5th (5) (11/1 -10%)Convincing |
11/1(-10%) | (5) Convincing 11/1, Below form down the field in a handicap at Killarney most recent; blinkers first time; effective 8-11f; inconsistent maiden. A 17-race maiden; plenty to prove at this stage; failed to run to expectations at Killarney last week; quite well fancied then, at a venue where he has produced some of his better efforts; blinkered now.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (16/1 -14%)Medieval Night |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Medieval Night 16/1, Below form but with excuses beaten 7l in a handicap at Killarney last time; effective 1m/9f on soft and good to firm; unreliable maiden. Maiden's best efforts have come in Leopardstown handicaps, including when a staying-on fourth of 22 (having hung left) on penultimate start; failed to match that form at Killarney last time.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 +0%)William F Browne |
14/1(+0%) | (2) William F Browne 14/1, Again below form tried in a visor beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Killarney last time; effective 7-9f, acts with cut and on good to firm, suited by positive handling; bounce back needed. Two Flat wins came in 2024; last month's third over 1m1f at Leopardstown was encouraging; unplaced twice this month; closely matched with Medieval Night on last week's Killarney run.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (11/1 -10%)Akashaa |
11/1(-10%) | (10) Akashaa 11/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off a 2lb higher mark at Dundalk last time; effective 7-9f, acts on a sound surface; mark has eased slightly, chance. Went close at Dundalk last August; fair seasonal debut over 1m1f at Leopardstown, was disputing the lead a furlong down before fading; has a bit to find with Famous Enough on recent Dundalk running.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (16) (20/1 0%)Lorr's Girl |
20/1(0%) | (16) Lorr's Girl 20/1, Again below form down the field in a handicap at Limerick most recent; effective 7f/1m, acts on sound surface; mark falling, needs much more. Best form at Cork, the scene of her only win (over 7f in September 2024) and last season's best effort, in a 6f contest; failed to make much impact on seasonal debut at Killarney six weeks ago.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (33/1 +0%)Peig Sayers |
33/1(+0%) | (12) Peig Sayers 33/1, Well below from well beaten in a handicap at Fairyhouse latest; effective 1m, acts on soft and good; bounce back needed. Struggled in three handicap attempts at this trip, marginally better over 7f last time; hard to fancy despite reduced mark.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (17) (14/1 -17%)Master Garvey |
14/1(-17%) | (17) Master Garvey 14/1, Step back in right direction tried in a visor beaten 2l off this mark at Leopardstown last time; effective 7-10f, acts on any; chance if building on latest. Is 1-34 on turf; won on heavy over 7f at this track in 2024; reasonably consistent form this season; fifth at Leopardstown 13 days ago matches him closely with Medieval Night and Morning Approach.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (7/1 +13%)Mehmar |
7/1(+13%) | (7) Mehmar 7/1, Didn't quite get home back up to 7f when fourth beaten 5l in a handicap at Leopardstown latest; suited by 5/6f, gets 7f, acts on sound surface; inconsistent and on long losing run. Was in the form of his life around this time two seasons ago with back-to-back 6f wins for Michael O'Callaghan; signs of a revival when seventh of 21 at Naas last month; another reasonably encouraging run when fourth at Leopardstown last week.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (8) (33/1 +0%)Lohengrin |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Lohengrin 33/1, Again below form beaten 9 1/2l in a claimer at Bellewstown last time; effective 7-10f, suited by sound surface; appears regressive. Sole win came on the beach at Laytown last September; yet to make his presence felt this term.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (9) (8/1 +20%)Morning Approach |
8/1(+20%) | (9) Morning Approach 8/1, Step back in right direction upped to 9f beaten 2l off this mark at Leopardstown last time; effective 7-9f on sound surface; chance off this mark. 1-42 on turf; struggled on the AW last winter but showed more when fifth at Roscommon in May; failed to repeat that effort at Gowran; one of her better turf efforts at Leopardstown last time; four years since she recorded a 1m victory at that track.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (1) (8/1 -129%)Perfect Judgement |
8/1(-129%) | (1) Perfect Judgement 8/1, Yard has won 2 of last 9 runnings of race; ran to form beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Leopardstown last time; effective 7/8f, acts on good and AW; could have a say here. Four AW wins; 1-20 on turf; failed to make much impact in first two starts for this stable; despite not much luck in running, better when seventh of 15 at Limerick; fifth at Leopardstown a month ago suggests he could be competitive off a career-low mark.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (4) (18/1 +28%)Slaney Swagger |
18/1(+28%) | (4) Slaney Swagger 18/1, Small step back in right direction beaten 9l in a handicap at Leopardstown last time; effective 8-10f, acts on any; moderate maiden. A 22-race maiden, placed ten times, including five in a good spell between July and October last season; reported coughing at Down Royal on seasonal/stable debut; better in mid-field at Leopardstown.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (13) (33/1 -32%)Pick A Window |
33/1(-32%) | (13) Pick A Window 33/1, Never in it from off the pace well beaten in a handicap at Limerick latest; drawn on wing of large field; effective 7f, acts on yielding; step up to 1m might help here. No sign of worthwhile form in five maiden outings; fifth of 13 over 7f at Limerick on handicap debut was a step in the right direction; suffered slight interference inside the last furlong; not as good over a slightly shorter trip at the same venue last time.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (14) (66/1 -32%)Quarry Stone |
66/1(-32%) | (14) Quarry Stone 66/1, Never in it from off the pace down the field in a handicap at Leopardstown most recent; effective 5/6f; poor overall. Poor form as a juvenile, ran only twice last year; no encouragement from reappearance, 66-1 when in rear in 22-runner Leopardstown contest.. |

It is difficult to form a compelling case for any of these, and so a chance is taken on AKASHAA. She was subject to market support on her latest outing at Dundalk where she attempted to make all but was headed in the closing stages. Still relatively unexposed, she has her usual tongue-tie reapplied and may be feasibly treated. Famous Enough finished second last time at Dundalk and now runs off a 5lb lower turf mark, with Sadhbh Tormey's claim strengthening her chances. Mehmar has operated at a higher level in the past and ran creditably behind a well-handicapped rival at Leopardstown. He has been dropped 2lb, so he holds solid place prospects.

1st (1) (1/50 +50%)Asuka |
1/50(+50%) | (1) Asuka 1/50, Ran to form returning from a long layoff when second beaten a nose in a novice at Wolverhampton latest; trainer in form; effective 6/7f, acts on good and AW; should be returning to winning ways here. Made a winning 2yo debut at Newmarket (6f, good) but he missed last year and was gelded in the autumn; shade unlucky not to retain his unbeaten record when beaten a nose at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) on his comeback a fortnight ago; this is a fairly quick second run back from a big absence but he's scared most of them off and is impossible to oppose.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (12/1 -9%)Yazoo |
12/1(-9%) | (3) Yazoo 12/1, Unseated in a novice at Kempton latest; blinkers first time; sprint-bred; both runs so far basically write-offs, surely capable of better. £50,000 yearling who has the pedigree to win races but his two starts have been inconclusive due to issues at the start; blinkers go on and he's the most likely to take advantage if Asuka blazes his penalty kick over the bar.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (25/1 +24%)Coilltedudeisback |
25/1(+24%) | (2) Coilltedudeisback 25/1, Poor effort well beaten in a maiden at Wolverhampton only start; sire classy sprinter, dam effective over middle distances; plenty more needed. Sent off 66-1 when 21l adrift and failing to beat a rival at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) last Tuesday; guaranteed some prize money this time on his turf debut.. |

This could prove to be no less than a workout for ASUKA, who sets a lofty standard with an official rating of 89 and might not have to get out of second gear in order to make it two wins from three career starts. Yazoo unseated his rider at Kempton on his latest outing and should show more on just his third appearance, while Coilltedudeisback could put it up to him for second place.

13/2(+13%) | (5) Clipsham Noble 13/2, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 3lb lower mark here three starts back; ran to form last time, 1lb lower here; usually held up; effective 8-12f, acts on sound surface; could go close again. Doubled his tally when winning here over 1m4f in May, coming from last to first, and he left the impression he's still in form when sixth of 11 at Pontefract two weeks ago; will need a good gallop now dropped back in trip, which he isn't sure to get.. |

2nd (2) (2/1 +56%)Ricardo Phillips |
2/1(+56%) | (2) Ricardo Phillips 2/1, Ran to form 5l third in a handicap at Epsom most recent run; should come on for that; suited by 10-12f and a sound surface; mark still fair, should play a part. Sole win from 14 starts came when making all over 1m4f here last July (good) and he was returning from eight months off when a solid third of eight at Epsom (1m4f, good) three weeks ago; won't mind the drop back in trip and has to be considered.. |

10/3(-67%) | (4) Typeface 10/3, Ran to form beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark at Ffos Las last time; cheekpieces first time; suited by 8f, acts on a sound surface; consistent enough but more needed. Both wins over 1m at Ffos Las (good), the most recent last August off a 4lb lower mark; he ran well when third there four weeks ago but has stamina to prove now stepping back up in trip in first-time cheekpieces.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/4 +8%)Kameel |
11/4(+8%) | (1) Kameel 11/4, Ran to form beaten 1 1/4l off this mark here last time; trainer in form; effective 7-12f, best form on AW; on long losing run but has run back into form of late. Both wins over 7f on Newcastle AW on his first two starts; has been running well since the visor was added, finishing runner-up at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) in May and twice finishing fourth at this track (1m4f/1m2f); solid claims.. |

5th (3) (7/1 -56%)Hachiman |
7/1(-56%) | (3) Hachiman 7/1, Ran to form seeing out the longer trip well beaten a length off this mark here last time; cheekpieces first time; usually held up; effective 1m-1m2f, acts on good to form, good and AW; looking flattered by maiden win but fair mark if building on latest. Sole win from 12 starts came in a 1m Lingfield maiden last August when trained by the Crisfords; has dropped a fair way in the weights since joining this yard and he ran well when third over this C&D 18 days ago on first try over this far; can go well again with cheekpieces now added.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (20/1 -67%)Turton |
20/1(-67%) | (6) Turton 20/1, Disappointing handicap debut in first time blinkers beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Beverley last time; bred to be suited by around 1m; needs more to defy this mark. Well held in four starts for James Tate, including on handicap debut at Beverley (1m2f, good to firm; first-time blinkers) four weeks ago; since purchased for 3,400gns; headgear discarded for his stable debut.. |

Ricardo Phillips wasn't disgraced when third over 1m4f at Epsom at the start of the month and remains of interest, despite this drop in trip. Kameel lurks on an attractive rating and is one to note, but the vote goes to TYPEFACE. Ian Williams' charge failed to justify favouritism when hitting the frame over a mile at Ffos Las, but could show improvement for this step back up in distance in first-time cheekpieces.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (16/1 -14%)Spodo Komodo |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Spodo Komodo 16/1, Below form up to 7f beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at the Curragh last time; in good form prior; effective 6f-1m on yielding to soft and good; more needed. Off the mark at the fourth attempt in maidens last September at the Curragh (6f); safely held at same venue on last month's return (handicap debut) and plenty to find with second-placed Little Empire on that.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (10/1 -18%)Barbapapa |
10/1(-18%) | (2) Barbapapa 10/1, Didn't get home back up to 7f beaten 6l in Mallow Handicap at Cork last time; effective 6-8f, suited by AW, acts on good; back on last win mark. Three-time AW winner who sole turf success from nine starts came over this trip at Leopardstown in 2023 off 65; two runs in premier handicaps this season leave him with a bit to find although was out of the handicap last time; down in grade here and runs off his correct mark so don't rule out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (7/4 +36%)Contrary To Law |
7/4(+36%) | (8) Contrary To Law 7/4, Improved back up to 7f to get off the mark landing a handicap by a short-head off a 7lb lower mark at Fairyhouse last time; wide draw; effective 6/7f on heavy and good to yielding; more to come, good chance. Needed every yard of this trip to justify strong market support on handicap debut at Fairyhouse a fortnight ago, getting up in three-way photo, still looking green; 7lb rise enough but this stiffer 7f should bring more out of him, major player.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (10/1 -82%)Thenandnow |
10/1(-82%) | (7) Thenandnow 10/1, Ran to form back up to 6f beaten 1 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark at Fairyhouse last time; effective 6/7f, on soft and good; can go well again. Curragh maiden win came on soft but handled quicker ground well in Fairyhouse handicap early this month, albeit changed legs late on when headed; first attempt at 7f this season, possible vulnerable.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (5/1 +0%)Little Empire |
5/1(+0%) | (1) Little Empire 5/1, Ran to form beaten 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark at the Curragh last time; effective at 7/8f, acts on sound surface; generally consistent. Both turf wins came on quick ground at 7f-1m at Ayr; AW winner last winter and posted career-best on latest when only caught late on in 17-runner Curragh handicap over this trip last month; trip/ground remains in his favour, can go well again.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (16/1 +20%)Blues Emperor |
16/1(+20%) | (5) Blues Emperor 16/1, Didn't get home tried in blinkers beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at the Curragh last time; effective 7/8f, acts on heavy and good; well below last win mark but form in and out. Five wins between turf and AW for Johnny Murtagh; best effort for this yard came when fourth over 7f at the Curragh in April (soft), well held since; different headgear combination now tried.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (5/2 -11%)Watch Tower |
5/2(-11%) | (4) Watch Tower 5/2, Ran to form to get off the mark landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off a 8lb lower mark at Leopardstown last time; top course jockey; effective at 6/7f, acts on good, soft and AW; consistent, good run likely once more here. AW promise last year and off the mark on second turf run this year, sent on some way out under a positive ride over this trip at Leopardstown 13 days ago, relishing the quicker ground; 8lb rise looks plenty but quite likely has more to offer under these conditions.. |

CONTRARY TO LAW has been an eyecatcher throughout his career and still proves a difficult ride in the hood for Ben Coen. After sustained market support at Fairyhouse, he broke his duck when getting up in the final strides and a 7lb rise may not stop further progress. Thenandnow had some good form in maidens before winning a Curragh contest comfortably. Thereafter, she was tried in Listed company and although not able to cope with that class rise, she should have finished second on handicap debut at Fairyhouse. Jessica Harrington's filly should be involved again, while Watch Tower enters calculations after his Leopardstown success, though an 8lb rise asks more of him.

1st (3) (6/1 +33%)Wetsand |
6/1(+33%) | (3) Wetsand 6/1, Ran roughly to current level beaten 6l in a handicap at Pontefract last time; visor first time; trainer in form; effective 7f/8f, acts on a sound surface; in terrible form and needs a lot more. Won two of her first three starts as a juvenile but she went off the boil in the autumn and has been disappointing this year, including in first-time cheekpieces at Pontefract (1m, good) a fortnight ago; declining mark and a visor is given a whirl but only market support would make her of interest.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/1 +50%)Bella Bisbee |
5/1(+50%) | (2) Bella Bisbee 5/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Doncaster three starts back; much below form tenth beaten 20l off 72 last time, same mark here; effective 7/8f, acts on good to soft, good, good to firm and AW; needs to bounce back. Tends to win in her turn and it was a sixth success (second on turf) when taking 7f Doncaster handicap (good) five weeks ago; lesser form in two subsequent runs over that C&D, including when borderline tailed off a fortnight ago.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (3/1 +40%)Stormy Music |
3/1(+40%) | (7) Stormy Music 3/1, Improved despite bare result beaten 4l in a novice at Kempton last time; effective 7f, bred to a miler, acts on good and AW; needs to settle, and maybe another step up in trip, but has a chance on handicap debut. Gradually improved her RPRs across three qualifying runs, including when sixth at Kempton (7f, AW) three weeks ago; bred to be a good bit better than this opening mark and she's likely capable of better again; has to be of interest.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (10/3 -33%)Hilltop |
10/3(-33%) | (1) Hilltop 10/3, Bit keen, hit the line well after not getting best of runs beaten 1/2l off this mark here last time; off a short-break; suited by 7f, acts on a sound surface; mark competitive still. C&D winner last August who subsequently added two AW wins, latterly in five-runner event at Newcastle (7f) off 3lb lower in March; looked a little unlucky when close third over C&D (good) off this mark in May and she's got a solid chance of giving Bahrain Champion Jockey Ebrahim Nader his first winner in Britain.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (13/2 -63%)Kaori |
13/2(-63%) | (4) Kaori 13/2, Ran back to form down in trip and back on turf beaten a length off this mark at Yarmouth last time; effective 7/8f, acts on both sides of good; can go well again. Yet to score but after an inauspicious handicap debut/reappearance over 1m2f last month she was back in form with fairly close third of six at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) four weeks ago; should be okay back at 7f and can't be ruled out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (40/1 -82%)Dandy Khan |
40/1(-82%) | (8) Dandy Khan 40/1, Below form beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Epsom last time; effective 7/8f, best form on AW, acts on fast ground; more needed. Five-time AW winner (including here) but she's 0-13 on turf and was never competitive at Epsom (7f, good to firm) a fortnight ago on her return from a break; might step forward from that but others have more pressing claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (13/2 -63%)Mojito |
13/2(-63%) | (5) Mojito 13/2, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Doncaster penultimate start; much below form 14th beaten 44l off 71 last time, same mark here; off a short-break; suited by 7f, acts on fast ground; should be capable of bouncing back. Reappeared with a winning handicap debut at Doncaster (good to firm) in April but she was miles below that when favourite but tailed off at Salisbury (again 7f, good) four weeks later; that was too bad to be true and subsequent two-month break suggests something possibly came to light; might be worth another chance.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (14/1 +0%)Sayidah Aleen |
14/1(+0%) | (6) Sayidah Aleen 14/1, Below form down in trip beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Leicester last time; in good form prior; tongue-tie first time; effective 7f, acts on soft and good; step back up in distance a positive. Promising start for this yard when placed in course maidens (7f/7.5f; including cheekpieces) in May and June so her handicap debut was underwhelming when seventh of 11 at Leicester 18 days ago; that came over 6f, however, and the return to this track and trip can be viewed positively; gets a tongue-tie and cheekpieces this time.. |

Hilltop wasn't able to supplement her Newcastle triumph when third at Lingfield in May, but that was still a fair effort and she is strongly considered. However, KAORI finished a close third over a mile at Yarmouth on her most recent outing and, with the George Boughey yard in fine fettle, she is the one to be on. Watch the market for handicap debutant Stormy Music.

1st (3) (5/2 +38%)Miss Nightcap |
5/2(+38%) | (3) Miss Nightcap 5/2, Quickened clear cosily, improved up in trip and down in class on AW debut when winning a maiden at Wolverhampton by 1 1/4l last time; effective 6-7f, acts on fast ground, AW; steadily progressing, form franked, opening mark looks lenient. Runner-up on her first two outings at Windsor and Newbury (both 6f on good to firm), and got off the mark when making all at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) last month; drops back in trip for her handicap debut and remains open to further progress.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (85/40 +70%)Cotai Belle |
85/40(+70%) | (2) Cotai Belle 85/40, Every chance, ran to form beaten a length off this mark at Carlisle last time; suited by 5f/6, acts on a sound surface; in form, can go well again. Won twice as a 2yo and has finished runner-up in three of her four starts this year, most recently at Carlisle (6f, good to firm) two weeks ago; no obvious reason why she won't give her running.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -56%)Amelia's Joy |
14/1(-56%) | (6) Amelia's Joy 14/1, Ran to form landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here last time; effective at 6f-1m on sound surface; consistent enough, should remain competitive. 4yo who gained her third success when winning over this C&D on good to firm 18 days ago, beating ten rivals; steps up in grade off a 5lb higher mark but there could be more to come on turf.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (9/2 +0%)Afraj |
9/2(+0%) | (4) Afraj 9/2, Ran to form 2l third in a novice at Newmarket (July) most recent run; trainer in form; effective 7f/1m, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; drop in trip might suit, good chance if settling. Kept on well for winning debut at Chelmsford (7f, AW) in November; raced too freely over 1m at Goodwood (good to soft) last month but ran a solid race when third of five at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) four weeks ago; now drops in trip for handicap debut (half-sister to a 5f/6f winner).. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (28/1 +15%)Romantic Twilight |
28/1(+15%) | (5) Romantic Twilight 28/1, Raced unfavourable far side down the field in a handicap at Newmarket (July) most recent; effective 6f, lot to prove at 7f, acts on good; erratic, bounce back needed. Made all at Yarmouth (6f, good) in October off today's mark but she's been well held in three starts since, most recently at Newmarket last month; others have stronger claims.. |

It's hard to get away from ZEN DIVA, who successfully completed a double in fine style over this trip at Salisbury recently and is now 6lb higher. With the potential for more to come on just her second appearance in handicap company, she looks the one to beat. Cotai Belle has found one too good in each of her last three outings, most recently at Carlisle, and should remain competitive. Wolverhampton victor Miss Nightcap completes the shortlist.

1st (4) (2/1 +33%)Suzie Songs |
2/1(+33%) | (4) Suzie Songs 2/1, Yard has won 3 of last 5 runnings of race; back to 2025 Group level tried in a tongue-tie when fourth beaten 2l in a 3yo race here latest; top course jockey; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; chance if building on latest. Looked potentially very smart last year, winning Group 3 at the Curragh and finishing runner-up in the Group 2 Debutante; two runs this term well below that level however, too free in Group 3 at Leopardstown and never landed a blow over today's C&D when fourth of 6 in rated race in first-time tongue-tie; still respected and yard in fine form. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (10/3 -21%)Fort Vega |
10/3(-21%) | (1) Fort Vega 10/3, Ran to best when 3 1/2l third in Mallow Handicap at Cork most recent run; effective 6/7f, acts on soft and good; in fine form, go well again. Better than ever last summer, winning Cork premier handicap (7f, good) and career-best second in Scurry Handicap at the Curragh; matched that effort when beaten just a neck by Headmaster in the Habitat Handicap back at the Curragh on seasonal return in May and following month fared best of those racing far side when third in repeat Cork bid; in fine form but stiff enough task conceding weight to a pair of less-exposed 3yo fillies.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (10/11 -14%)Phenomenal Filly |
10/11(-14%) | (3) Phenomenal Filly 10/11, Short of room at key stage and likely better than bare form when second beaten 1/2l in Brownstown Stakes (Group 3) at Leopardstown latest; cheekpieces first time; effective 7f, acts on good; touch unlucky last time, good chance here. All four runs have been at this trip, notably Leopardstown 2yo maiden win and recent seasonal return when second in 6-runner Group 3 Brownstown Stakes at same track, staying on well after not getting clear run on far rail; remains capable of better and cheekpieces now added.. |

PHENOMENAL FILLY was a maiden winner and finished fifth in the Goffs Million at the Curragh in her juvenile season. She could be deemed unlucky not to have won the Brownstown at Leopardstown on her return to action after receiving some interference. Paddy Twomey now reaches for cheekpieces for his charge and she can go one better. Suzie Song gains preference for a runner-up finish over Fort Vega solely on the weight difference.

1st (13) (11/2 +8%)Creciente |
11/2(+8%) | (13) Creciente 11/2, Bit below form again beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Chepstow last time; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; has been pretty poor overall in career, but not ruled out entirely in this company. Her fourth of five at Salisbury (7f, good) wasn't a bad effort last month but that's the firm pick of her last four starts; Oisin Murphy is an eye-catching booking for this classified debut, however; interesting to see how she goes in the market.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (11/4 +21%)Rovinia |
11/4(+21%) | (9) Rovinia 11/4, Ran into form when second beaten a neck in a classified race here latest; trainer in form; effective 6/7f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; could go well again in this company. 7f AW handicap winner in October who went close in a course classified (7.5f, good to firm) 25 days ago; a repeat of that effort puts her firmly in the picture.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (3/1 -9%)Zaltalla |
3/1(-9%) | (10) Zaltalla 3/1, Ran back to form upped in trip when second beaten a neck in a classified race here latest; suited by 7/8f, probably acts on any; needs to build on latest. Won a handicap (7f) for Michael Attwater last August and it was a solid start for this yard when neck second in 1m classified (again here on AW) last Monday; yet to produce his best on quick turf but Billy Loughnane retains the ride; respected.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (100/1 -52%)Caitlin G |
100/1(-52%) | (12) Caitlin G 100/1, Below form, didn't see out trip comfortably held in a classified race at Wolverhampton last time; yet to find suitable conditions; has shown very little and is hard to recommend. 50-1 when beaten 17l in AW classified (8.5f) on her stable debut a fortnight ago; still fairly early days but she'll need to show something she's yet to reveal.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (10/1 -11%)Edergole's Gift |
10/1(-11%) | (3) Edergole's Gift 10/1, Below form beaten 10l in a handicap at Leicester last time; off a short-break; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; out of sorts of late. Won similar event here on AW in 2024; also took 6f course handicap last June and was well on top in Chelmsford handicap (7f, AW) in October; was struggling when last seen in the spring, however, and a two-month break will need to have recharged her batteries.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (16/1 +27%)Rock Master |
16/1(+27%) | (8) Rock Master 16/1, Below form again down the field in a handicap at Windsor most recent; top course trainer; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; long-standing maiden, looks an unlikely winner. Placed five times for Sean Woods but he's yet to replicate that form in seven starts for this yard and his return from a break was a particularly modest effort three weeks ago.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (15) (66/1 +34%)Mr Jeffrey |
66/1(+34%) | (15) Mr Jeffrey 66/1, Ran to same poor level well beaten in a classified race here latest; yet to find suitable conditions; hasn't shown anything in short career. Sent off 66-1 when beating one home in similar event here (7.5f) 25 days ago; this is just his fifth start but he'll need to start putting it together.. |

8th (2) (12/1 +0%)Barnsnape Boy |
12/1(+0%) | (2) Barnsnape Boy 12/1, Below form again when fourth beaten 5 1/4l in a classified race at Brighton latest; suited by 5-7f, acts on good; needs to bounce back. 5f turf winner here who scored for the third time when taking 7f Brighton classified event (good) under Donagh Murphy last month; not so good on his next two starts but he's got a good draw and can't be ruled out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (4/1 -33%)Oh So Audacious |
4/1(-33%) | (5) Oh So Audacious 4/1, Yard won this last year; ran about to form when fourth beaten 5l in a handicap at Brighton latest; effective 7/8f, acts on a sound surface; bounce back needed. Four wins for Harry Eustace include 7f Brighton handicap (good) around one year ago; did better on her second go for this yard when fourth over that C&D one month ago and holds claims on her first classified attempt for four years.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (80/1 +20%)Poet |
80/1(+20%) | (7) Poet 80/1, Ran to same poor standard beaten 10l in a handicap at Chepstow last time; effective 6/7f, acts on AW; regressive, hard to recommend. Very moderate form this year and others have much stronger claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (18/1 -80%)Pink Socks |
18/1(-80%) | (6) Pink Socks 18/1, Ran about to form beaten 8l in a handicap at Southwell last time; off a short-break; effective 7-10f, acts on any; struggling in handicaps but might bounce back in this company. Nailed a rapid AW classified hat-trick in January for Ian Williams but her subsequent form in handicaps for that yard and this doesn't compare; maybe her return to this sphere will help but she needs to get back on track.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) (66/1 -450%)Electrocution |
66/1(-450%) | (14) Electrocution 66/1, Much below form comfortably held in a handicap at Brighton last time; effective 7f, acts on AW; needs to bounce back in this company. Some solid efforts earlier in the year include a win at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) in February; not so good since April and he was tailed off in six-runner Brighton handicap on his turf debut three weeks ago; now makes classified debut and he'll need to put that firmly behind him; missed the break and never figured when beaten 18l at Wolverhampton yesterday.. |

ROVINIA produced a better effort when filling the runner-up spot in this class over slightly further here last time and, if turning up in similar form, she will prove a tough nut to crack. Zaltalla ran his best race for a while when runner-up here on the all-weather last Monday and is likely to be involved in proceedings, along with Barnsnape Boy and Oh So Audacious.

Won 7f novice on Southwell AW in September but disappointing in three starts since, including at Newmarket (1m, good; first start since wind surgery) in June; drops back to 6f with a bit to prove; cheekpieces on.. |

7/1(-40%) | (5) Maximum Velocity 7/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Redcar three starts back; bit free but returned to form down in trip last time, same mark here; cheekpieces first time; effective 6-7f, acts on a sound surface; inconsistent of late, mark demands more. Off the mark when making all at Redcar (7f, good) in May and bounced back from a lesser effort when a solid third at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) last month; he isn't the most consistent and cheekpieces now go on.. |

9/2(+25%) | (8) Apex Star 9/2, Outpaced, below form back down in trip down the field in a handicap at Windsor most recent; suited by 6/7f, acts on good and AW; inconsistent in short career but competitively weighted. 0-8 but he was a front-running second of 11 at Bath (5.5f, good; beaten 3l) last month; however, he dropped away after showing early speed at Windsor (5f, good to firm; reported to have stopped quickly) three weeks ago and needs to bounce back.. |

11/4(+8%) | (3) The Tunguska Event 11/4, Scored by a neck off a 2lb lower mark at Catterick three starts back; raced away from action solo on far side last time, 1lb lower here; effective 5/6f, acts on good to soft, good and AW; in good form until latest. Front-runner who gained his third win when holding on to land a Catterick handicap over 6f in May; ran well at Doncaster (6f, good) next time and it looks worth forgiving last month's Newcastle effort (5f, AW), having raced alone towards the far rail; could go well.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (10/1 -82%)Portacloy |
10/1(-82%) | (1) Portacloy 10/1, Far too free, needed run comfortably held in a handicap at Kempton last time; trainer in form; off a short-break; effective 6f on sound surface; should come on for latest, yet to fire in handicaps. Landed a Lingfield maiden (6f, AW) in September but has struggled in three handicap starts since, most recently on her reappearance at Kempton in April; off since and now returns off a 3lb lower mark.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (7/1 +36%)Landslide |
7/1(+36%) | (6) Landslide 7/1, Far too free well beaten in a novice at Kempton latest; should stay 7f, seems to act on a sound surface; plenty still to learn, temperament a little questionable. Modest form when fifth of six at Brighton (6f, good to firm; first-time hood/cheekpieces) and he was reported to have hung left when failing to beat a rival at Kempton (7f, AW) three weeks ago; headgear returns for his handicap debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (4/1 -33%)Pimentel |
4/1(-33%) | (7) Pimentel 4/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off this mark at Brighton last time; effective 6/7f, acts on fast ground; respected chance once again back up to 7f. Sole win from nine starts came in a nursery at Brighton (7f, good to firm; first-time cheekpieces) last September; clear second behind an easy winner at Chepstow (6f, good to firm) last month and it was another solid effort at Brighton (7f) three weeks ago; drops back in trip with claims.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (20/1 -43%)Goldenstateofmind |
20/1(-43%) | (4) Goldenstateofmind 20/1, Dwelt, never threatened in first time blinkers beaten 6l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; top course jockey; usually held up; effective 5f on good; needs more. Runner-up on his debut at Thirsk (5f, good) last May but hasn't built on that in four starts since; never featured after being slowly into stride in first-time blinkers at Wolverhampton last month and has since been dropped another 3lb.. |

Landslide has shown very little in his three starts in maiden/novice company, but could prove a completely different proposition now that he steps into handicaps.
