There were 51 Races on Monday 25th August 2025 across 7 meetings. There was 8 races at Ripon, 7 races at Epsom Downs, 8 races at Southwell, 7 races at Chepstow, 7 races at Downpatrick, 6 races at Cartmel, 8 races at Ballinrobe, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

Having hit the frame at Beverley on both outings to date, DREAM MORE could be poised to open his account. Tim Easterby's colt ticks plenty of the right boxes and he looks to hold the strongest form on offer. Hear The Drums displayed more promise when finishing midfield in a 15-runner maiden at Thirsk recently and he may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of India Gold.

This looks a golden opportunity for DREAM MORE who has finished third in both starts and ought to be suited by the longer trip.
Class & Speed Card

The veteran sprinter COUNT OTTO took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up on the all-weather course at Lingfield in June. He commands plenty of respect having won off a much higher mark here in the past and can edge out Silver Wraith. The latter returns to 6f with solid claims having posted a decent effort in a higher grade at Sandown, while Spanish Star looks best of the rest.

The 3yo SILVER WRAITH is still unexposed and is taken to get off the mark on this step back up in trip.
Class & Speed Card

Provided that she takes to this surface, OPHELIA GRACE should be difficult to beat. Runner-up to a rival with strong debut form in the book on her debut at Beverley, the Starman filly can make that same leap herself. Showcasis Oasis has produced a similar level of form across both of her starts and is the most likely threat, while Steelblue Ladybird is also noted.

Showcasis Oasis will appreciate returning to a flat track but OPHELIA GRACE shaped well on debut and can go one better today.
Class & Speed Card

CASTRILLO failed to reward favourite backers when fourth on debut over 7f at Doncaster last month but that was still a promising effort. With the benefit of that experience, Archie Watson's colt could be hard to beat. Gazal Almarmoom is related to plenty of winners and has to be noted on his racecourse bow, while similar comments apply to Captain Cairney.

These conditions should suit CASTRILLO better than on his debut and he gets the vote, although the newcomers need a market check.
Class & Speed Card

Former point-to-pointer FRONT DOOR FAMOUS has shown up well in two racecourse starts for Gavin Cromwell. He was beaten 10 lengths into third over C&D last month, but the form received a boost when the runner-up landed a maiden hurdle at Roscommon. He then rallied for second in Wexford after a collision with the rail and could go one better. Lady Maxios showed improvement on her second start over hurdles when fourth in Wexford and not much more would be needed to be a major player here. The 100-rated October Hill has put together three placed efforts in a row in maiden hurdles, albeit beaten a fair way. She is in the hunt for another cheque.

Gavin Cromwell's FRONT DOOR FAMOUS just about edges it on form and he has the benefit of some course experience.
Class & Speed Card

Bearin Up caught the eye when finishing a never-nearer third over 5f at Beverley and, reverting to 6f, she is likely to have her supporters. However, CHALE CHALO has been given time to strengthen since a respectable sixth in a class 2 event at Ascot and he could prove too strong. Call Me By My Name may also feature if the application of a visor has the desired effect.

The lack of a recent run is a slight worry for CHALE CHALO but he has strong claims on his spring form in better races than this.
Class & Speed Card

GHOST MODE sets a decent standard on his third at Glorious Goodwood having taken a step forward from his debut run at Kempton. The son of Ghaiyyath wouldn't need to improve on those efforts to shed the maiden tag on this occasion. Champagne Dream is expected to be competitive after making the frame here last month, while the consistent Mayaada appeals more than the same owners' Princess Honey Bee.

The vote goes to GHOST MODE, who was third behind an odds-on rival at Glorious Goodwood and sets a good standard back in calmer waters.
Class & Speed Card

James Fanshawe landed this 12 months ago and he could do so once again courtesy of CAPTAIN ROBERT. A trio of novice/maiden efforts haven't resulted in much, but he looks a potential improver now handicapping over this longer trip. Blinkered for the first time, New York Minute is another that could step forward and, although below-par recently, dual C&D winner Swinging London should not be overlooked.

Most of these have a query of some sort against them but DOUBLE MEANING can improve on his handicap debut over this new trip.
Class & Speed Card

Having made light work of his rivals on both outings over hurdles to date, this looks a suitable opportunity for DIGNAM to complete the hat-trick. Although a 12lb penalty will make life more difficult for the Joseph O'Brien-trained colt, his Flat ability suggests he's up to the task. Ex-stablemate Junkyard Dog posted a respectable third-placed timber debut at Tipperary towards the beginning of July and is feared most now under the tutelage of Iain Jardine. Zaraquelle is the pick of the remainder.

Useful on the Flat and now looking a smart juvenile hurdler for this time of year, there's little temptation to see beyond DIGNAM.
Class & Speed Card

Doilookokay (first) and Redditizio (second) were only separated by a head when dominating a similar event at Chelmsford earlier in the month. Both are likely to go well again, but a chance can be taken on LOOKS LIKELY. Hugo Palmer's filly has struggled in competitive maidens in three starts to date but an opening mark of 54 should be workable in this company.

Redditizio and Doilookokay are closely matched on latest running, and the less-exposed RESDEV KISSES is preferred.
Class & Speed Card

WING BACK landed a gamble over C&D just over a fortnight ago and has prospects of following up off 8lb higher. He jumped notably well and won by almost five lengths, so merits the hike. Crucially, he races in the same grade. The Truant arrives in form courtesy of a victory in a staying handicap on the Flat in Tramore and has plenty of experience over flights to call upon. A 10lb rise for winning in Wexford appeared to catch out Menas Miracle on her next visit to that track when she finished fourth. She is one of the more likely contenders here, though. Paddy Hanlon takes 7lb off Pahlavi's back, which gives him a chance.

Wing Back might well go in again but NEWPORT continues to give a good account of himself and a promising 7lb claimer takes over.
Class & Speed Card

Having been narrowly denied on her stable debut at Nottingham, compensation could be on the cards for FINAL SECRET. A similar performance is likely to see the Time Test filly go extremely close and she's fancied to repel Memphis Rose, who posted a good second at Tipperary in May and isn't taken lightly on her first appearance for the Michael Keady team. Spanish Rising is the pick of the remainder.

Spanish Rising is respected with plenty of improvement expected but FINAL SECRET looks the one to beat on her Nottingham run.
Class & Speed Card

BELL SHOT has enjoyed a hugely consistent year with a trio of victories, including at Beverley last time when dominating throughout. Despite a 7lb rise, it won't be a huge surprise if Mick Appleby's gelding is able to repeat that display. C&D winner Aurora Majesty ran with plenty of credit when placed in a competitive Glorious Goodwood handicap. He is feared most, while others to note include Crimson Spirit and Partisan Hero.

Several have claims but CRIMSON SPIRIT is 2-4 at Epsom and he gets the vote ahead of Bell Shot and Aurora Majesty.
Class & Speed Card

Tiempo Alegre scooted clear to record an emphatic C&D latest but although respected, a wide draw and subsequent 8lb rise could scupper her chances. Tresca enters handicaps for the first time and is entitled to progress, while Woodleigh, who wears blinkers for the first time, is another to consider. However, a chance can be taken on VENTURA DREAM. The son of Earthlight has yet to score since February's track and trip success, but he's berthed well and is now 1lb below that winning mark.

Eva Rosa and TIEMPO ALEGRE both impressed over 1m last time out and the latter is only narrowly preferred.
Class & Speed Card

Secret Secret looked back to his best when coming home nine lengths clear of his nearest pursuer over C&D and merits strong consideration in his follow-up bid. However, an 8lb rise does demand more and it could be worth chancing the down-in-class CITY DERBY. Lizzie Quinlan's charge showed more spark on the back of a wind procedure when fifth here last month and he could be poised to strike. Whizz Kid is also noted.

The call is DO NO WRONG who has been in competitive form over fences and he's on better terms with the handicapper in this discipline.
Class & Speed Card

AJRAD arrives here on the back of two impressive C&D victories and even a 7lb rise for the latest of those wins may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick. That said, Soi Dao scored over 7f here 11 days ago and is an obvious threat to the selection. Diddy Man is another with strong form claims, while Onslow Gardens edges out Johnjay and Port Noir to be best of the rest.

A fiercely competitive, valuable handicap can go to JOHNJAY (nap), who should get this run to suit. Ajrad rates the main danger.
Class & Speed Card

Plenty of these like to get on with things, so this could shape up well for a closer. MAVETHERAVE stayed on for third in Ballinrobe and was a fair fourth over C&D in June, so Stuart Crawford's charge has a shot of making the breakthrough in a tricky race. Eco Pete has been placed in two of his last three appearances, which makes him a contender. Minella Supreme enjoyed himself in winning a bumper at this track and could show up well on his first crack at hurdling. The Crawford-trained Southey won a point-to-point at Toomebridge in May and has enough hurdles form to advertise his chance, while Fool Me Once cannot be ruled out.

Preference is for PENNY PERFECT who should have improved plenty for her debut at this track and doesn't have a lot to find anyway.
Class & Speed Card

Amorim got off the mark impressively at Windsor two starts ago, but he was well held when third of five at this level at Newbury last time. With that in mind, preference is for AL SHAHAM, who has won both starts over C&D well and the exciting son of Blue Point is likely to have more to offer. Lam Yai edges out Saucy Jane to be the pick of the remainder.

This looks best left to AL SHAHAM who is 2-2 over C&D and represents a stable with a fine record in this race.
Class & Speed Card

A wide-margin winner of the Ladies' Derby over C&D before following up under Paul Hainey at Newbury a week later, GORDON GREY has cheekpieces back on and is taken to complete his hat-trick. Warning Sign seeks a three-timer of his own following a brace of Sandown victories. An 8lb rise for the latest of those will make things tougher, though. Vaynor is also noted.

Top of the list is GORDON GREY, who has won his last three starts and has a record of 2-3 at Epsom. The big danger is Warning Sign.
Class & Speed Card

BREAKDANCER, who cost connections 450,000gns as a yearling, was a ready winner on his handicap debut at Kempton earlier this month. Still green and learning, the son of Wootton Bassett could very easily kick on now and appears well placed to follow up if the retained hood still has an impact at third time of asking. Mahogany Bay has already been cut some slack by the handicapper and could have a say off a mark of just 73, while Flightofthephoenix and Chesneys Charm may also be on the premises.

The unexposed BREAKDANCER (nap) still looked to be learning the job when winning at Kempton and he can make light of a 7lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

The reapplication of a visor appeared to help POUNDING POET when he got the better of Saint Bibiana at Uttoxeter last month. A 5lb rise for Tom Lacey's inmate looks manageable and a sixth career victory could be on the cards. Saint Bibiana had previously recorded a hat-trick and she isn't taken lightly, but a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of handicap debutant Caughtinyourtrance, who looked one to follow when completing a double here.

There's not a lot between SAINT BIBIANA (nap) and Pounding Poet on their Uttoxeter encounter but the selection has course form.
Class & Speed Card

STAR OF MALI has the strongest form by some distance and looks to have been presented with a straightforward task. James Tate's charge failed to see out the 6f at Newbury last time, but had shown plenty of ability in a couple of outings over today's minimum trip before that, including a length defeat at Leicester last time. Scent Of May could prove pick of the opposition, ahead of the more exposed Off The Bench.

This should be straightforward for STAR OF MALI, who has any amount in hand. Love You Millions can chase him home.
Class & Speed Card

WARRIORS WOOD comes with risks, but is undoubtedly on an appealing mark for this assignment. Eoin Staples claims 7lb, so he races off 103, and it is notable that the horse he beat by a neck in Ballinrobe won a valuable handicap hurdle off 113 - minus his rider's 5lb claim - in Killarney last week. Our Zebo has form figures of '212' in Downpatrick and just failed by a head over fences here last month, so is a solid option. Kilmore Coral took a mares' maiden hurdle in Tramore and represents a shrewd and in-form yard that had a double at the most recent Downpatrick fixture.

With the form of his novice win at Ballinrobe given a boost last week at Killarney, WARRIORS WOOD (nap) could be well handicapped.
Class & Speed Card

CAPITAL GUARANTEE did not get the clearest of runs, but still managed to beat Barley over C&D nine days ago. A 2lb rise for that success is fair and the five-year-old is hard to oppose. Barley also has to be noted, but a 1lb swing may not be enough for him to reverse the form. The shortlist is completed by Rogue Encore, Garden Oasis and Ey Up Its The Boss.

The vote goes to CAPITAL GUARANTEE (nap) who won with more in hand than the neck margin would suggest over C&D nine days ago.
Class & Speed Card

Carnival Day recorded a commanding success over track and trip last month but, although respected from 6lb higher, preference is for SOUL DANCE. Victorious on her handicap debut at Nottingham, the daughter of Camelot has gone on to fill the runner-up berth in both starts since. The latest, when narrowly denied at Salisbury, was her first attempt at this trip and further progress could be on the cards. Atherstone Warrior was disappointing when well backed at Glorious Goodwood, but he shouldn't be ruled out.

Unexposed 3yo SOUL DANCE has found plenty of improvement since switched to handicaps and was only beaten a nose at Salisbury last time.
Class & Speed Card

SHEIKH RAJ was well found in the betting market when he made his debut for Richard Hughes in a handicap over a mile at Windsor last month. A close-up fourth in that race, the son of Pinatubo notably drops back a furlong and having also undergone wind surgery, this could be a good time to catch him. Tattie Bogle has dropped to a handy rating and looks a danger at the weights, while Dapper Guest is also of interest with a first-time visor added.

Singoura can go well back on AW but SHEIKH RAJ still has potential and a wind op since his stable debut could prove beneficial.
Class & Speed Card

Jimmy Moffatt sent out consecutive winners of this race in 2021 and 2022, which bodes well for dual course scorer SEA THE CLOUDS. Versatile regarding distance, Moffatt's eight-year-old has winning form over this sort of trip and could be tough to overhaul, despite a 6lb rise for a victory over an extended 2m1f here last month. Shadows In The Sky stays well and rates the chief danger. Mickey Bowen's pair Olivers Travels and Equus Dancer complete the shortlist.

If his jumping can stand the test then OLIVERS TRAVELS looks to have as good a chance as any. Ilikedwayurthinkin is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

Grace Harris trained last year's winner and OVER SPICED makes most appeal of her three representatives. The consistent three-year-old made another bold bid when third over C&D last week and she could well find a bit more improvement with cheekpieces applied for the first time. Stablemate Connie's Rose also has a shout off her current mark, while Some Nightmare scored here back in May and a recent placed effort suggests he could have a say in proceedings.

Connie's Rose (second choice) and Over Spiced look sure to go well but this can set up for SOME NIGHTMARE.
Class & Speed Card

SPECULATRIX finished third on her chasing debut at Wexford but she was badly hampered before the penultimate fence, which ruined her chance. She was good enough to finish fourth in a Listed mares' novices' hurdle at Cheltenham in April. Kalanisi Flash hasn't been seen since winning a maiden hurdle at this racecourse in May 2024. The market should be informative as to his chance. Invictus World has two hurdle victories and a bumper triumph in the book, and is a chasing newcomer to note. Mount Sinai has switched to Shark Hanlon after winning a claiming hurdle at Sligo for Willie Mullins and she has her chance.

SPECULATRIX was twice hampered on chasing debut at Wexford in a messy race and can improve enough to get off the mark today.
Class & Speed Card

Another Baar and Canaria Queen have to be respected following recent victories, but their new marks demand more of them. As a result, the vote goes to THORNABY PEARL, who improved for a wind operation when winning at Hamilton a couple of weeks ago and a 4lb rise may underestimate him. Masterclass was second that day and is another with strong form claims.

It may be worth taking a chance with PROFITABLE EDGE who has winning form over C&D and has dropped 7lb lower than when last successful.
Class & Speed Card

Handicap debutant Due West is worth noting, given his powerful connections, but HACHIMAN looks one to keep on the right side of. The son of Frankel beat a subsequent winner when landing a maiden at Lingfield and may well prove better than his opening mark. Jiff's Army saves his best for this track and last month's victory over C&D looks stronger form than Play Me's recent success here.

There are two interesting handicap newcomers in the line-up and recent Lingfield winner HACHIMAN gets the vote ahead of Due West.
Class & Speed Card

A winner over a mile at Kempton in May, OPENING BAT has been thereabouts at the finish in both subsequent starts. He likes to race prominently, so this shorter trip should not prove too much of an inconvenience, and the son of Bated Breath gets another chance. Dannick could feature with a repeat of last month's third at Ascot and is preferred to Zabeel Road, who opened his account over 6f at Chelmsford recently.

The recent consistency of OPENING BAT ticks a big box at this level and he remains on a competitive mark.
Class & Speed Card

BHEAN SAIBHRE has been edging closer to a first win and might be able to make the breakthrough. She had a good run on the Flat when chasing home a well-treated rival at this venue last month and has twice finished second over hurdles at Clonmel. Aidan Howard's filly gets plenty of weight from her main dangers and the way she came home over 1m5f last time, suggests stepping up to this longer trip back over flights will suit. The consistent Following Orders has been placed in three maiden hurdles and was clear of the rest when second over 2m4f at Roscommon, while Tippawan Haa took a big step forward when runner-up at Cork.

Runner-up to an in-form rival on the Flat at this venue last time, BHEAN SAIBHRE will be hard to beat in this company
Class & Speed Card

RIVER OF JOY completed a brace of wins by outstaying the opposition in a similar event over C&D last month. That was a better round of jumping than she posted when successful at Hexham on her previous start and was conclusive evidence that she is learning on the job. This is more competitive, though, and the likes of Ile De Jersey and Nickelforce are capable making it a tougher assignment for the selection.

Ben Case's NICKELFORCE has been running well all season and he just ran out of puff late on when stretched by 3m last time.
Class & Speed Card

KING OF THE DANCE has been such a model of consistency this campaign and could form a good partnership with in-form apprentice Taryn Langley. The Bernard Llewellyn-trained six-year-old struck over C&D last month and although beaten twice subsequently, he has lost little in defeat. He is fancied to improve past Gilt Edge, who was a couple of places ahead of him in second last time, while Shark Two One has also been giving everything in his races and must be considered too.

This can go to GILT EDGE, who reappeared with a bold bid over C&D 11 days ago and is only 1lb higher than for that clear second.
Class & Speed Card

It is interesting that connections have opted to go chasing at this point with recent Wexford winner MY GOOD PAL. Making the breakthrough over hurdles on that occasion, Gavin Cromwell now switches the son of Mount Nelson to the larger obstacles. Still relatively lightly raced for the Gold Cup-winning trainer, the six-year-old has scope for further improvement. Point-to-point winner Doyen Magic made an immediate impact on her chasing debut when scoring at Kilbeggan last month. Despite a 6lb rise, the mare remains fairly handicapped on her best form. Sea Of Doubt, who has been placed here over flights, is another chasing debutant worthy of consideration.

It could be onward and upwards for DOYEN MAGIC after her successful debut over fences. My Good Pal is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

Sassy Glory is consistent, but needs a change of fortune if she is going to break her maiden at the 22nd attempt. Of slightly more appeal is TIBERIO FORCE, who was a close third in a handicap over C&D nine days ago. The six-year-old could be tough to overhaul now dropping into a classified stakes for the first time since he finished fourth in this last year. Bebside and Arranmore are others for the shortlist.

It may be worth chancing COLOANE on her return. She does have a win against her name and her best form would make her a player.
Class & Speed Card

Silver Trumpet bolted up over C&D on his latest start, but he has a 9lb hike to contend with and VALLEY OFTHE KINGS is marginally preferred. Dylan Cunha's charge finished a creditable runner-up in maiden company at Redcar, with a horse now rated 80 back in third, and is potentially well treated for his handicap debut. Our Mighty Mo returns to this shorter distance with a shout off his current mark.

Preference is for SILVER TRUMPET (nap), who hit a personal best with his emphatic win over C&D ten days ago.
Class & Speed Card

Placed at Newmarket on a couple of occasions over the summer, Royal Musketeer but has not been done any favours here drawn on the outside. The unexposed VINATERA ran her best race in a handicap so far when third at Windsor last month. That race has worked out well, with the winner going in again, and Stuart Williams' filly could make a bold bid off a similar mark. Blue Force goes well fresh and is worth noting on his return.

The unexposed Vinatera is greatly respected but BEELZEBUB could be the answer now returned to AW.
Class & Speed Card

Noel Meade has won this twice in the past three years and promising amateur Michael Kenneally again takes a handy 7lb off Mick Collins after partnering him to finish second behind a smart horse at Galway. Preference, though, is for CASTLEHEATH, who had the speed to dead-heat in a competitive Flat handicap over an extended mile at the Festival at Ballybrit before finishing fourth in an all-aged handicap hurdle there later in the week. His pace should stand him in good stead back in four-year-old company. Shaboozee won in a lesser grade here but could easily improve further, while connections of winter-ground winner Maxios Prime will be hoping for plenty of rain.

All six can be given chances of sorts, perhaps SHABOOZEE can follow up a recent win here
Class & Speed Card

Several have chances, including Prospect House, whose recent form at Market Rasen is encouraging and he should go well if adapting to racing left-handed again. Dexter has shown improvement since joining his current yard, while Fox Wallace merits a betting check after undergoing a wind operation. However, preference is for RORY'S STORY, who travelled like a dream to land a similar race over C&D last month and could be hard to hold out with a repeat dose.

He's only ever won in France but DEXTER nearly put that right on his penultimate start and 2m4f appeared too far last time.
Class & Speed Card

PUNCHBOWL FLYER rolled back the years to end a lengthy drought under Jay Mackay over C&D and that didn't come out of the blue because although he was last of five at Doncaster prior, he was an honourable second over track and trip on his return. Consistency hasn't always been his strong point but he is preferred to Pure Artistry, who found only one too good when attempting to supplement a Windsor triumph on that same card here recently. Mighty Gurkha and Silent Flame weren't all that far behind the selection last time so merit respect.

Pure Artistry ran well here last time but WAISTCOAT now drops back in grade following a solid effort in a 0-80 last time.
Class & Speed Card

The Philip Rothwell-trained WOODSTREAM LAD catches the eye at the foot of the weights. A winner at this track over hurdles last month, the eight-year-old has been unable to exploit a comparatively lenient chase mark in recent outings but the return to this venue could spark the necessary improvement. Given that the Soldier Of Fortune gelding has only had four starts over fences, he should be open to progression. Lakefield Flyer has to be of obvious interest given that both of his previous career wins have come here. Portarlington is another lightly-raced chaser who should be competitive off his current rating.

A trappy finale. If the new headgear can trigger a positive response then MACINAMILLION may be the answer.
Class & Speed Card

Having registered wins at Beverley and Pontefract before posting another good effort to finish second over 1m4f at Catterick, STAR START and Charli Parker could again form a successful partnership. Running off an unchanged rating, the son of U S Navy Flag boasts the most convincing recent form and has a live chance of notching back-to-back victories in this race. Spartan Times and Blue Yonder are other key players.

Charli Parker and STAR START get on so well and can win this race for the second year in a row.
Class & Speed Card

LAURENS DREAM bounced back with a close third at Ayr last time. The daughter of Advertise has done all her winning on the all-weather so far and, 7lb lower than when last successful, she gets the vote back on this surface. Chasing Gold has been thereabouts off similar marks since returning to the fray in June, while Toota gets a change of headgear having endured a frustrating string of placed efforts and could also get involved.

The Voominator has strong claims with a clean start but LAURENS DREAM ran well at Ayr last time and the return to AW is a positive.
Class & Speed Card

Second in a bumper over 2m4f last year, NOTHING HECTIC may improve for stepping up to this trip for the first time. Hilary McLoughlin's runner has performed well on all three starts over hurdles and had a subsequent maiden winner a place ahead of her when third at this venue last month. A little of bit of ease in the ground wouldn't be a concern. Bumper winner Boujee hasn't shown a great deal since returning from a mammoth absence in May, but this is a weak contest and she may be slowly coming to hand. Jetaway Nana is a proven stayer and and shouldn't be far away.

Using a line of form involving the progressive Mrs Mc Go, there is a valid case for supporting NOTHING HECTIC over Jetaway Nina
Class & Speed Card

Having been pulled up on his seasonal reappearance in May, it was a big step forward from ANYSIGNOFHIM when staying on to finish a never-nearer third over a little further here a fortnight ago. That form looks good after subsequent victories for the winner and fourth and if Ray Hackett's horse is as effective on what may well be slightly easier terrain, he shouldn't be far away. Western Opera was no threat to an easy winner when second last time, but will be a threat if building on that. Darragh O'Keeffe is an interesting booking for course maiden winner St Anthonys Corner, who has a shout on her fourth in a better race here in April.

Jumping was an issue for ANYSIGNOFHIM earlier in his career. His recent third at this venue indicates he is getting the hang of things
Class & Speed Card

STEPS IN THE SAND is hard to oppose as long as the forecast rain doesn't get into the ground too much. The six-year-old relishes a sound surface and comes here after rattling up a hat-trick on the Flat, including a win over 1m6f at Galway last time. She struck off a higher hurdles mark last year before losing her form over flights, but looks well treated now given her recent improvement on the level and should get the trip if the ground remains decent. Cathys Quest stays further and ran well after a long absence when third here. The fitting of a tongue-tie could help the luckless maiden Bayou Belle, who looks solid place material.

Hard to get away from STEPS IN THE SAND who has held her form well to reel off a hat-trick in staying handicaps on the Flat.
Class & Speed Card

Recent Galway winner KING OF KINGSFIELD can give weight and a beating to his three rivals. A smart hurdler at his best, the Gordon Elliott-trained seven-year-old was impressive when opening his account over fences at the Festival. Having only his second chase start on that occasion, he should be open to more improvement and it would be no surprise to see him run up a sequence before the better novices appear later in the season. Runcok made no real impression in a Grade 3 novice chase at Galway, but had earlier made the breakthrough over fences at Tipperary and this small field should suit. The Dara Man has a bit to find, but has plenty of experience over fences.

KING OF KINGSFIELD found plenty from the last at Galway and is preferred to Runcok, whose jumping is novicey
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up on his chasing debut, PALAMON can go one better. One of the best of these over hurdles, he is also a useful handicapper on the Flat. Jumping well in the main when offering encouragement at Wexford last month, the Paul Nolan-trained five-year-old looks to have a nice opportunity in this company. Point-to-point winner Chance Another One has to be respected on his first start over fences. A course winner here on stable debut in July, he went on to finish second at Galway. Nastya is another winning pointer capable of making her presence felt for her in-form stable.

Much improved over hurdles of late, CHANCE ANOTHER ONE can make a winning chase debut
Class & Speed Card

Third on debut at Wexford earlier this month, MISS JOCUND can register the first win of her career. The Henry de Bromhead-trained filly kept on nicely inside the final furlong, giving the impression that she would be better for the experience. Taking on similar rivals in terms of form, the daughter of Berkshire looks to hold leading claims under David Doyle. Having finished fifth in that race, the Tom Cooper-trained Mysilverriverfeale should also be open to improvement. Given that her trainer does quite well with his runners in this discipline, any market support should be noted. Blue Waters shaped well enough on her introduction to suggest that she can also play a leading role.

Several of these have shaped quite well first time out. Slight preference is for LET IT SETTLE over Blue Waters and Miss Jocund

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
