There were 37 Races on Wednesday 4th December 2024 across 5 meetings. There was 9 races at Lingfield, 7 races at Ludlow, 6 races at Haydock, 8 races at Kempton, 7 races at Dundalk, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

MY MATE MIKE made the frame in this grade over track and trip on his latest outing and competes off the same rating. Dean Ivory's four-year-old is a two-time C&D winner who has lots in his favour to regain the winning thread. Mumayaz has run well over sprint distances on each of his last three starts and should have no problem with the step back up in trip, while Monsieur Beaulieu isn't out of it after his third over 6f here last month.

ZU RUN has had excuses both starts at Wolverhampton after winning there in October and the feeling remains that this mark is well within range, He's awarded the vote at the expense of Mumayaz (back up in trip) and Whoop Whoop (change of headgear).

Serenity Rose can get closer to MY MATE MIKE today but Dean Ivory's 4yo is still fancied to record a third C&D success.

BLUE SECRET has shown a fair amount of ability in her three starts to date, including her fair fourth at Newmarket last month. The daughter of Blue Point is bred to be a lot better than a rating of 74 and it would be no surprise to see her show that today. Solar Army was denied by a short head into second at Southwell last time and should remain competitive off 3lb higher, while Beauty By My Side is another to note after her victory at Wolverhampton.

Stall 11 doesn't make life easy but SOLAR ARMY should probably have won at Southwell a fortnight ago and in the hope he keeps straight this time under pressure, he could be the answer. This is open, with Rage of Thunder and Blue Secret a couple of potential threats.

Several runners are interesting now switched to handicap level. Marginal preference is for SWEET FANTASTIC, ahead of Blue Secret.
Class & Speed Card

TEXAS STARLIGHT took a step forward from her debut second to score in comfortable style at Southwell in October and she is likely to have plenty of improvement in her. George Boughey's juvenile could relish the step up to a mile and can carry her 7lb penalty to victory. 230,000-euro purchase Miss Herschel is related to plenty of winners and she is of huge interest, especially if the market speaks in her favour. Joyful Sound is a half-sister to an Italian Group 1 winner and is another to note.

Having shaped promisingly at Newmarket on debut, TEXAS STARLIGHT had little difficulty with opening her account at Southwell last time and she can follow up with more still to offer. The biggest threat could come from the newcomers in the line-up, with six-figure purchase Go Go Boots making plenty of appeal, ahead of Diamond Lil.

The form choice is TEXAS STARLIGHT. All of the newcomers have good credentials, particularly Go Go Boots.

Having supplemented his ready victory over fences at Wetherby with a facile triumph at Leicester on Sunday, it is hard to oppose EAST STREET reverting to timber. James Owen's gelding is off a 7lb lower mark than his latest success and is likely to taking all the beating if coping with another quick turnaround. It's Maisy is entitled to build on her reappearance at Bangor 36 days ago and she may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Topkapi Star.

In a change of headgear for his new yard, EAST STREET has quickly proved better than ever, defying a penalty with the minimum of fuss at Leicester 3 days ago, so he is the one to beat if taking up this engagement back over hurdles. The consistent Artic Mann is next on the list, ahead of Kiss My Face.

Even with today's change of discipline, it's hard to get away from the in-form and well-handicapped EAST STREET.
Class & Speed Card

BLAST THE DREAM wasn't disgraced when finishing fifth in a warm-looking novice on her debut at Newmarket last month. That experience should stand the daughter of Oasis Dream in good stead and this step up to a mile could enable a breakthrough victory. Newcomer Gray Rainbow shouldn't be found lacking for stamina given her staying pedigree and market support for James Owen's filly must be noted. C&D fourth Pershalla may fare best of the remainder.

BLAST THE DREAM showed plenty to work on when fifth in a Newmarket novice and Roger Varian's filly can make her second start a winning one. Newcomers Niminy Piminy and Gray Rainbow may prove the biggest dangers.

As regards the runners with experience, BLAST THE DREAM is preferred. Interesting newcomer Gray Rainbow is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

LAND AFAR sets the standard and is readily suggested as the first one to consider. The son of Kalanisi was second at Uttoxeter last month and, with that being just his second start over hurdles, there could be any amount of improvement to come with his yard in fine form. Laser Focus is feared most despite dropping in trip, while Global Esteem is respected but this is tougher than the selling handicap he won at Huntingdon.

LAND AFAR ran well behind a promising sort at Uttoxeter last month and can belatedly open his account here. Laser Focus and Global Esteem are the obvious dangers.

Fergal O'Brien's GLOBAL ESTEEM has had a productive time under both codes since August and he gets the vote ahead of Land Afar.
Class & Speed Card

Having made a winning chase bow at Ayr on his seasonal debut last month, White Rhino likely has more to come in this discipline. The eight-year-old warrants respect off a 5lb higher mark, but the hat-trick seeking BENEFICIALLY YOURS is slightly more compelling. Donald McCain's charge scored on his sole outing between the flags in Ireland and a mark of 120 on his first attempt over the larger obstacles may prove lenient. Heros De Romay could fare best of the remainder.

This looks a strong race for the field size with WHITE RHINO the percentage call having made a seamless transition to fences at Ayr a month ago. Chase newcomers Beneficially Yours, President Scottie and Heros de Romay all have something to recommend them, though.

An interesting race in which WHITE RHINO (nap) is taken to make it 2-2 over fences. President Scottie looks his main danger.
Class & Speed Card

CHARLOTTE'S WEB had little difficulty in completing a double at Newcastle last month and a 6lb rise may prove to be on the lenient side. Sean D Bowen claims a handy 3lb off the three-year-old's back and a hat-trick could be in order. Typical Woman finished behind the selection in fourth 33 days ago and her subsequent close-up second at Kempton substantiates the selection's form. Ian Williams' mare will need to improve off a 5lb higher mark, so a bigger threat may emerge from Chelmsford scorer Lokana.

CHARLOTTE'S WEB is really going the right way and given she had a bit up her sleeve at Newcastle a month ago, the hat-trick may well be on the cards. Elladonna and Therapist are a couple of potential threats.

Solid-looking ELLADONNA is taken to build on her C&D effort and score off the same mark. Charlotte's Web is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

JOLYJUMP showed marked improvement from his chasing debut when he won cosily over 2m at Southwell last month and a 9lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent the son of Kapgarde from registering back-to-back wins. Dromlac Jury can give the selection plenty to think about if building on her promising chasing debut at Bangor in October. Ostrava Du Berlais represents an in-form yard and cannot be ruled out on just her second run after having a wind problem addressed.

OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS can be expected to improve from her promising Warwick chase debut and makes plenty of appeal. Southwell winner Jolyjump also looks progressive and rates the chief threat.

Ostrava Du Berlais is respected but JOLYJUMP (nap) was a very stylish winner at Southwell last time and is taken to defy a 9lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

Having filled the runner-up berth over hurdles at Stratford and Bangor in recent months, a breakthrough victory could be on the horizon for CARRIG KATE. The daughter of Westerner appears to have been found a weaker contest and she edges the vote over Grand Geste. The five-year-old almost caused a huge upset when second at Carlisle in October and he isn't taken lightly. Market support for point winner Jo Coko on his Rules debut would be interesting.

Market support behind one of the newcomers would look significant but CARRIG KATE would likely have opened her account but for a final-flight blunder at Bangor 3 weeks ago and shades the vote to come out on top. Ski Lodge looks a likely improver following an encouraging hurdles debut run at Ffos Las and is feared. Of the newcomers, Star of Diamonds and Jo Coko look particularly interesting.

Preference is for heavy-ground point winner CARRIG KATE, who was only just caught in a 2m7f novice at Bangor three weeks ago.
Class & Speed Card

Although he has proved expensive to follow on his last two defeats, a first-time hood could prove the key to unlocking SMART HERO's ability. The Shamardal gelding was far too keen when finishing ninth at Kempton last month, but he may take some stopping if settling better. Hafeet Alain arrives on the back of a respectable sixth in a class 2 event at the same venue as the selection and is a viable alternative dropping in class. Local Hero and Palmar Bay are also noted.

TIGER CRUSADE hasn't won for a while but the assessor has given him a major chance back on his favoured surface, so he's an appealing candidate. A hood may help Smart Hero settle down and he's feared, along with Hafeet Alain down slightly in class.

Ed Walker's HAFEET ALAIN hasn't been running at all badly in stronger handicaps and is well drawn to employ positive tactics that suit.
Class & Speed Card

Tour Ovalie had Love Tree (second) half-a-length behind when scoring at Hereford last month and she can confirm her superiority over that rival to go close. However, it may pay to side with ARCLIGHT, who hasn't been seen in this sphere since finishing well held in a premier handicap at Cheltenham in April last year. Nicky Henderson's five-year-old will find this a much easier assignment and her class might pull her through. Panic Attack completes the shortlist.

TOUR OVALIE was value for a bit extra over the result in overcoming some late interference at Hereford last month and a 3 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up. C&D winner Brendas Asking seems highly likely to give another good account, with the likeable Ip Up completing the shortlist.

The pick is IP UP, who ran well in defeat over fences last month and remains well handicapped on the best of this year's hurdling form.
Class & Speed Card

CIRCUIT BREAKER made a strong impression when bolting up on his hurdling debut at Kempton in October and he might have plenty more to offer. The four-year-old was a good performer on the Flat and should have no issues with this drop in trip. Crest Of Fortune was successful in good style over 2m4f at Ffos Las last month and should mount a bold bid with Harry Cobden booked, while Royal Infantry is another to consider.

ROYAL INFANTRY is already building up an excellent strike rate and, following a bloodless success at Chepstow on hurdling debut, he's the most appealing in a race where all six can be given some sort of chance. Crest of Fortune looks the main danger ahead of Circuit Breaker.

A competitive race can go to ROYAL INFANTRY who has won a point, two bumpers and a Chepstow maiden hurdle.
Class & Speed Card

POETIC JACK has been knocking on the door of late with a pair of runner-up efforts, including last time out over C&D, and this appeals as an ideal opportunity to regain the winning thread. Sisters In The Sky has strong claims on his penultimate second over this distance at Wolverhampton, while Doves Of Peace is another to consider for in-form connections. Lilkian and Supernova Steps are likely to be thereabouts as well.

POETIC JACK arrives in top form, which can't be said for many of his rivals, and he might be able to go one better than last time if he can get a reasonable position from stall 10. Sisters In The Sky is a threat and Alshimali is worthy of interest having his second outing for his current yard.

This is a drop in grade for SOUTHBANK and he can capitalise on the return to 6f. Sassy Redhead heads the long list of dangers.
Class & Speed Card

DREAMING BLUE was far from disgraced when finishing third at Wincanton on his latest outing and the handicapper might have been kind to drop him 1lb for that performance. Anthony Honeyball's seven-year-old might only need to reproduce that level of form in order to get back to winning ways. Frenchy Du Large filled the runner-up spot at Market Rasen in May last year and provided he is ready to go on his return, he could have a say. Strictlyadancer could be in the mix for the minor honours.

DREAMING BLUE, who ran well in this race last year, is a chaser on the upgrade and can resume winning ways on the back of an encouraging return at Wincanton. Only The Bold is an interesting contender starting out on a handy mark for his in-form yard, so may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of Frenchy du Large, who has a large absence to overcome.

Jamie Snowden's ONLY THE BOLD is given the verdict in the hope he has been reinvigorated by a change of stable.
Class & Speed Card

GOOD BOY BOBBY put in an underwhelming display when well beaten into third at Sandown last time, but he might be best judged on his effort when making the frame at Chepstow prior to that. Nigel Twiston-Davies' veteran competes off a 1lb lower mark and he looks the way to go. Cloudy Glen was pulled up in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival when last seen but he would be dangerous to dismiss, while Empire Steel is the pick of the remainder.

CLOUDY GLEN has been given a chance by the handicapper and returns with his stable in excellent form, so he gets the nod ahead of Good Boy Bobby, who boasts a solid record in these events. The Two Amigos returns from a lengthy absence on a good mark under optimum conditions, so he also needs considering.

As he has such a good record fresh the well-handicapped CLOUDY GLEN is taken to win his first race since the 2021 Ladbroke Trophy.
Class & Speed Card

An eye-catcher on his first start for Hilal Kobeissi when not beaten far in third at Wolverhampton last month, CURRUMBIN is entitled to build upon that effort and he may be able to break the maiden at the 12th time of asking. Hill Station didn't do himself any favours when taking a keen hold over C&D last time out, but he is capable on his day, as well as Fravanco, who should be suited by dropping back in trip.

CURRUMBIN has slipped in the weights and took a firm step back in the right direction when third on debut for this yard at Wolverhampton, so he's worth taking a chance on in a wide-open contest. In-form pair Fravanco and Highland Slipper are others to consider.

Henry Candy's HIGHLAND SLIPPER ran his best race last time out and this lightly-raced 3yo edges preference in the new cheekpieces.
Class & Speed Card

Having filled the runner-up spot on his last three outings, another good account is forecast from Superbolt. However, the four-year-old is a further 2lb higher than his latest second at Hereford and he isn't certain to stay this distance. With that in mind, C&D winner CURRENT MOOD is taken to put her Hereford third behind her. Evan Williams' mare is only 3lb higher than her victory here two starts ago and she is unexposed in this discipline. Phantom Getaway is likely to be involved as well.

PHANTOM GETAWAY got his career back on track fitted with a tongue strap (also had a breathing operation) when runner-up at Ffos Las on return and should make a bold bid to go one place better. Superbolt has taken well to fences for this yard and rates the main threat.

He didn't jump well enough last time but BLAIRGOWRIE has strong claims if judged on his chase-debut second in January.
Class & Speed Card

BLUE FIN showed a likeable attitude when scoring gamely over 2m1f at Carlisle on his penultimate start and he shaped as if he was still in good heart when showing up well for a long way before fading into fourth late on over the same C&D recently. Off an unchanged mark with cheekpieces enlisted for the first time, he gets the nod to return to winning ways. Guard Duty could get into contention on his handicap debut, provided he settles better. Jet Marshall returns from a long absence and warrants a market check.

HAZY GLEN appeals as the type to do better now tackling handicaps and is fancied to make a winning return with the step back up in trip promising to suit. Jet Marshall confirmed the promise of his qualifying runs when scoring on his handicap bow in February and has to be respected returning from an absence for the in-form Hobbs & White yard, with Blue Fin completing the shortlist.

Hazy Glen has run well in all of his three hurdle runs, but the vote goes to another handicap newcomer in GUARD DUTY.
Class & Speed Card

OVERNIGHT OATS is in the form of his life at present and stepping back up in trip should not inconvenience as he looks to follow up on a comfortable success over 7f at Wolverhampton. A mark of 55 is still much lower than his career best and the four-year-old is likely to have too much for Brighton second River Wharfe and Star Of Atlantis, who can improve on her first start for new connections at Southwell.

OVERNIGHT OATS is one of many from his yard that are thriving at the moment and, having only gone up 4 lb for his latest success, he's well fancied to complete the hat-trick. River Wharfe arrives on the back of a solid showing and looks a danger, while Star of Atlantis is unexposed for her current stable.

This can go to the resurgent 4yo OVERNIGHT OATS (nap), who has won at Wolverhampton on his last two starts and remains well treated.
Class & Speed Card

HELLO LUNA twice went through the sales ring at Arqana for 220,000 euro and wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary to score on debut. The Joseph O'Brien-trained filly is the first foal out of a Listed-winning daughter of Harbour Watch and market support would be significant. There is little to choose between Bansha Belle and the experienced Sharkii on running behind Karazhal over 6f here in September, while The Duke Mardukas enters calculations having shown pace when fifth to Dark Ace here, also over 6f, last month. Ohmyviette has also shown some promise in two outings here.

Preference is for THE DUKE MARDUKAS, who left his debut effort behind when fifth at this course last month and may have more to offer yet. Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Hello Luna and the consistent Sharkii rate the principal dangers.

Preference is for DUKE OF MARDUKAS, who shaped last time like this trip would suit and has more improvement in him
Class & Speed Card

SERVICE MINIMUM offered plenty to work with when third on her debut at Uttoxeter in October and she could be ready to open her account. The second that day subsequently hit the frame in a Listed NH Flat race at Cheltenham and Dan Skelton's filly ticks plenty of the right boxes. The 130,000-pound purchase Jackie Hobbs scored on her sole outing between the flags and market support for her would be interesting. Pollyanna's Dream and I Am The Moon are also worth a second look.

JACKIE HOBBS fetched £130,000 following her Irish point win in the spring and having transferred to Harry Derham, she may well be up to the job on Rules bow. Service Minimum showed plenty to work on starting out at Uttoxeter so she's second choice, ahead of Pollyanna's Dream.

Bought for a six-figure sum after her winning Irish point debut, JACKIE HOBBS recently had that form boosted by the runner-up.
Class & Speed Card

SAYIFYOUWILL won nine times for Amanda Perrett, all over this trip, before being snapped up by Stephen Thorne this autumn and gaining a quick return in a claimer here over a mile last month. He beat Comfort Line by an easy four lengths and has since joined Sean Davis. Thorne now takes him on with Shoot To Kill, who was prominent throughout when scoring over C&D last month. Ado McGuinness has four runners, including Nikki Swango, who won a maiden here last year and indicated a return to form when narrowly denied on her penultimate start. Nezeeh won on debut at Thirsk for Saeed bin Suroor but his form tailed off badly in Meydan, including when lining up for the UAE 2000 Guineas.

SAYIFYOUWILL has a few quirks but she outclassed the opposition in a similar race to this over 1m 3 weeks ago and in the hope she gets a good pace to aim at, she can score again for new connections. Shoot To Kill is likely to give it another good go, while Nikki Swango could be the pick of the Adrian McGuinness quartet.

The selection is SAYIFYOUWILL (nap) who readily accounted for Comfort Line in a 1m claimer here last month and should do so again
Class & Speed Card

1,600,000gns purchase ALFAREQA, who is a daughter of Frankel out of Cheveley Park Stakes winner Millisle, could hardly be more appealing on paper and has to be of high interest on her racecourse debut. From those with experience, Arabian Leopard is the most notable contender given her proximity to a subsequent Group 3 winner on her introduction at Goodwood in August. Dancing Colours and Thaisa are other promising types for the shortlist.

THAISA made an eye-catching debut when a fast-finishing third here 4 weeks ago and looks the one to beat. Well-bred newcomers Alfareqa and Sand Gazelle head the potential dangers.

The betting can help with the newcomers but as things stand THAISA is preferred to Arabian Leopard.
Class & Speed Card

KARAZHAL overcame some trouble in running to win over 6f here in September and again finished strongly when a close-up fourth to Nyman over 7f the following month. He now enjoys a significant swing at the weights with that rival and may also account for Tommy McJohn, who won over the minimum trip at Naas before finishing towards the rear in the valuable Birdcatcher Nursery at the same venue. Sci Fi makes plenty of appeal on pedigree as a full-sister to smart sprint handicapper Ekhtiyaar and it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in her favour. Wizard Of Odds, Donna Nook and Skillman Ave are others to consider.

KARAZHAL has improved with each start thus far and looks the one to beat here. Donna Nook and Wizard of Odds should also go well.

The one to beat could be DONNA NOOK, who had clearly shown plenty before a disappointing debut in July and can make amends here
Class & Speed Card

Several of these are appealing types for a race of this nature, with INVINCIBLE MELODY being a particulary attractive option starting out for a yard that has enjoyed an excellent period of success. A half-brother to Group 1 heroine Lezoo, this son of Invincible Army looks the pick of Ralph Beckett's pair based on potential, although The Quiet Gent was a promising second on his debut at Wolverhampton last month. Indian Springs and Charging Bull also run for powerful yards and also warrant inspection.

This could be an informative novice and newcomer INDIAN SPRINGS makes plenty of appeal for Godolphin, so gets the narrow vote over The Quiet Gent and Crestofdistinction, who both showed a good deal first time up. Charging Bull is another to note.

Attractively bred newcomer INDIAN SPRINGS and leading form contender The Quiet Gent are particularly appealing.
Class & Speed Card

Ja'marr beat ADRIENNE by half a length over C&D last month, but there are grounds for believing the places may now be reversed. The winner justified good support by quickening nicely at the furlong pole, but the Ted Walsh-trained filly endured trouble in running before finishing strongly and is now a bit better off at the weights. Source Code improved for the application of blinkers on handicap debut in soft ground at Galway and it will be interesting to see how he copes with this surface, while Chica Guerrera has also been raised 13lb after beating first reserve Your Call on testing ground at Gowran. Bishopton showed promise in three outings for Olly Murphy.

ADRIENNE finished strongly behind Ja'marr here last time and, on better terms, might be able to reverse the form with that rival, who also boasts strong claims. Easy last-time-out winners Source Code and Chica Guerrera can also get involved.

A bit unlucky here recently, ADRIENNE can reverse form with Ja'marr on 4lb better terms
Class & Speed Card

MISS COLLADA was value for further than a neck when scoring over 7f here last month, having not had the clearest of runs throughout the race, and a 4lb higher mark looks workable at this stage. Morte Point is another potential improver on his nursery debut, while Blinky has been given a chance by the handicapper and also needs considering.

MORTE POINT wasn't ideally placed when third in a class 2 novice at Ripon and is worth another chance to build on his winning debut. Miss Collada made it 2 from 2 on AW here 4 weeks ago and is next best ahead of Ardennes, who starts out on a fair mark for Michael Appleby.

This looks a bit trappy but it mght be worth sticking with MISS COLLADA, who made it 2-2 on AW when scoring here last month.
Class & Speed Card

NEW DEFINITION was raised to a mark of 100 when just denied in a Listed race at Lingfield last year, but has tumbled down the ratings since joining current connections this term. However, he gave some encouragement when staying on late over 7f here last week and Keithen Kennedy again claims a valuable 7lb. Shaaden has gone up a combined 15lb for two wins over 7f here last month and looks like she could appreciate this step up in trip, while Rock Etoile bids to follow up a win last week. Punk Poet has won five times over C&D and takes a drop in class, while Nakasero is another to consider following a narrow defeat here last month.

NEW DEFINITION took a step back in the right direction when fifth here last week and is on a very dangerous mark if he can build on that even slightly. Perfect Judgement and Shaaden head the dangers.

This extra furlong and her rider's claim could enable SHAADEN to complete the hat-trick
Class & Speed Card

RATTLETHEONIONBAG was placed a couple of times in maidens last season and after dropping down the ratings this year, has indicated a win may be imminent since returning to this venue. She had a number of these rivals behind when just denied by Blanc De Noir before keeping on well after a tardy start again over 6f last time. Hezahunk won a claimer over C&D this autumn and finished well over 5f last Friday, while Hasiyna has dropped down to a basement mark and is worth a try at this trip. Velvet Skies also edges back down to 6f after a couple of promising efforts here in recent months.

RATTLETHEONIONBAG has got back on track returned to this venue in recent weeks and gets the narrow vote to shed the maiden tag. Crystal Luna, The Cola Brasil and Hezahunk are others in with a shout in a typically-competitive affair.

A race in which few appeal and perhaps HEZAHUNK can go one better than last Friday now returned to this longer trip

Plenty of in-form contenders here, with THE WORLD'S ASTAGE getting the nod to complete a hat-trick. She benefited from a little break to win twice over C&D last month and is given slight preference over Not Just Any Eagle, who is also bidding for a hat-trick having scored here last time. Come On The Lads has won three times this year, all for different trainers, and has shown his versatility by scoring over a variety of distances. Proleek Prince was prominent throughout when successful here over a mile last month, while Lady Arwen may find this trip a bit too far.

THE WORLD'S ASTAGE is progressing and worth a chance to follow up her comfortable C&D success a fortnight ago, at the possible expense of Proleek Prince. Come On The Lads also makes the shortlist.

The second hat-trick seeker in the field is the very progressive The World's Astage, and he can confirm his liking for this C&D
