KAROLINE BANBOU could be the one to side with. She won her maiden hurdle at this track in February and showed ability in fourth a Grade 2 at the Cheltenham Festival. She has Flat speed and enjoys testing ground which makes her a threat to all if taking to fences. Stablemate Karamoja, who was Grade 1-placed over hurdles, looks a big danger on chasing bow. Emmet Mullins runs Mclaurey, who began his chasing career with a reasonable fourth over much further at Thurles, and should be sharper dropping back in trip. Jacob's Ladder, who is race fit from two beginners' chases last month, is far from out of it.

A 133-rated hurdler, MCLAUREY ran a fine race at Thurles on chasing bow and can improve enough to score.

(2) Officer Of State 6/1, Improved when winning a handicap hurdle at Fontwell by a length last time. Effective from 2m to 2m2f and acts on good ground. Makes the least appeal of these on his chase debut.
Not favoured by the weights but won over hurdles last month and is evidently in good nick.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

Not the best advertisement for racing with all three runners representing the Gary & Josh Moore team and, not surprisingly, jockey bookings help point in the direction of HANSARD. The seven-year-old was a quality performer over the smaller obstacles, winning the Gerry Feilden and chasing home Rubaud in the Elite Hurdle, and he now has chasing experience following last month's Kempton fourth. Assuming they all get round, Taita Hills can beat Officer Of State to the silver medal.

Very useful hurdler HANSARD ought to outclass his two stablemates.

Third on point debut but no significant impact in bumper/maiden hurdle under rules.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Freshers Week carried a penalty for his hurdling debut victory at Market Rasen when second at Ludlow last time. REAL QUARTZ may have more success defying a penalty, given he landed the odds with the minimum of fuss at Carlisle on his Rules debut and first start for Dan Skelton. He looks a potentially smart recruit to the hurdling ranks and is also preferred to Wetherby runner-up Uptown Dandy and Name Me Nicely.

Dan Skelton's REAL QUARTZ is selected to remain unbeaten at the expense of last month's Wetherby runner-up Uptown Dandy.

Course hurdle winner, made a winning chase debut over C&D, form franked, strong prospects.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

BRAVE FORTUNE holds an eye-catching entry in a Grade 1 novice chase at Limerick over Christmas. He was last seen winning a beginners' chase at Roscommon in June and has some form in the book on testing ground. This is effectively a drop in class for Talk In The Park. His last three outings have seen him finish third in a valuable handicap at Listowel, and fourth in the Munster National at Limerick, before he unseated at Punchestown. He looks nicely weighted with Michael Kenneally taking 7lb off his back. Barry Lyndon won over C&D in October and has to be respected.

With the form of his winning chase debut endorsed by a handicap win for the runner-up, BARRY LYNDON arguably has the best credentials.

ONE HORSE TOWN has improved plenty since going hurdling and extended his unbeaten NH record to four here last month. Connections have kept it simple by letting him make the running on his last couple of starts and similar tactics are likely to be in place once again. Minella Study did well to recover from a mistake to land the Wensleydale against a well-regarded type, but this is undoubtedly tougher. Macshadow Des Crai finished fourth in an AQPS race at Vichy behind Macktoad, who was impressive at Sandown last week, and is entitled to respect along with Arnolphe.

Having made it 4-4 over hurdles with a Grade 2 win here last month, ONE HORSE TOWN can maintain his unbeaten record over jumps.

GETAWAY KING has hit the ground running since joining Fergal O'Brien, justifying favouritism at Fontwell and over C&D. He has gone up a further 3lb, but this doesn't look the most competitive of contests and he can round out the hat-trick. Embarking on a chasing career on the back of a fall over timber isn't ideal, but Somethingtosomeone was still in contention when coming down at Ffos Las so could get involved if her jumping holds up. Constant Friday appears best of the remainder.

This can go to GETAWAY KING who is unbeaten in two runs for Fergal O'Brien this autumn and the latest was over C&D last month.

Zurich has looked an improved chaser this season and scored nicely at Cheltenham in October to land a double. The Irish raider can feature again, but JORDANS CROSS may edge a tight contest. Anthony Honeyball's five-year-old won at Aintree on his chasing bow and was still in contention at Cheltenham last month when coming a cropper at the last. He looks worthy of another chance, while Warwick winner Go West is not out of this either.

Given that JORDANS CROSS looked set to win when coming down at Cheltenham, he still looks well handicapped off 4lb higher.

BEN HUR was strong in the market at Navan last month and showed up well in second behind a ready winner. There should be more to come from him on his second start over flights. Kibris, who was useful on the Flat, disappointed at Galway but could feature in this company. Wackestone finished two and a-quarter lengths behind Ben Hur in third in that aforementioned race at Navan. He gets first-time cheekpieces and looks to be a contender. Simple Things was a promising third on jumping debut over C&D in November and that performance can be viewed in a better light as the two horses in front of her went on to contest a Grade 3 at this track.

Cheekpieces may help WACKESTONE to find the improvement needed to reverse Navan form with obvious danger Ben Hur

CINQUENTA made the frame in bumpers won by some smart prospects and carried that form over to timber on his return when going close here. He stuck to his guns well so the drop from an extended 2m3f may not be ideal, but he can still break through. Precious Metal, who won a Listed NH Flat race at Cheltenham, has also had the misfortune of bumping into some promising rivals since going hurdling and there has been nothing wrong with his seconds at Stratford and Southwell. Kado Sacree is worth a look following a decent Exeter fourth.

This can go to CINQUENTA, who was a close second on his hurdling debut here last month and sets a clear standard back in trip.

Winning hurdler SPADESTEP made a pleasing debut over the larger obstacles when runner-up at Aintree in October. This looks less competitive and the six-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement with a tongue strap applied for the first time. Rumoursareflying has been raised 4lb for scoring at Ludlow but that's unlikely to prevent another bold bid, while last-start Cartmel fourth Willie Shake Hands is expected to fare better in this lower grade.

The one with the most potential is SPADESTEP who ran such an encouraging first race over fences at Aintree.

FIERCE HANDAY is a lightly-raced sort who was a fair fourth in a higher grade at Gowran Park. The horse in fifth came out and scored at Thurles towards the end of November, so Fierce Handay is threatening off an unchanged mark. Kentucky Beach attempted to make all at Gowran Park, but went down by a neck after being collared on the run-in. He relishes the mud flying and has a shot at compensation off 3lb higher. Hillstar Blues won by a short head on better ground at Thurles last month. The handicapper gave him 7lb and he is up in class, but he still appears one of the more likely contenders.

KENTUCKY BEACH could do with jumping better than on return at Gowran last time when just denied but can handle a 3lb rise to score.

She Is For Me Boys built on her novice hurdle victories at the start of the current season when switched to chasing at Kempton last month. The six-year-old remains on a fair mark after going up 7lb, but THEONEWEDREAMOF is preferred. Runner-up on her first start for Dan Skelton at Chepstow, she went one better when tackling 3m at Exeter and the drop back in trip on a stiff track is likely to play to her strengths. Realta Liath, Kalista Love and It's Easy appeal most of the remainder.

The experienced THEONEWEDREAMOF has hit new heights for her new stable and scored in taking style last time. Ruby Island is next.

Despite showing plenty of greenness, the 42,000-euro purchase stayed on to finish a respectable third behind exciting prospect Minella Marathon over C&D. With that experience under his belt, he can take a big leap forward to strike. Masked Man is the obvious danger after taking the silver medal home in a Grade 2 at Haydock and that form sets the standard. Point-to-point winner Hello Fortune may be the one for third.

Connections of HEATHER HONEY have resisted the temptation of pitching her into the Listed race later on the card and the decision can pay off. The six-year-old ran well to a point when heading the market for an Aintree class 3 before staying on strongly to reward those favourite-backers who kept the faith at Catterick. Her stablemate Romeo Brown and Stratton Oakmont also arrive in winning form, with the latter feared most after showing the benefit of a wind operation at Exeter. Betty's Tiara also has claims now back in a handicap.

If STRATTON OAKMONT is in the same form as when winning easily on his Exeter reappearance, a 9lb rise may not stop him going in again.

I AM LORENZO can open his account on his second start for Paul Nolan. Runner-up on two occasions for Gavin Cromwell, the Milan gelding filled the same position when sent off market leader on his stable debut at Clonmel last month. With an official rating of 127, the six-year-old sets a fair standard in a race of this nature and stepping up to 3m for the first time could also bring about further improvement. Point-to-point winner Bally Free, who shaped with plenty of encouragement when fourth on his hurdling debut at Punchestown recently, shouldn't be far away. Cheekpieces have sparked GETAWAY WITH YOU into life, with his form figures reading '211' since they went back on. The seven-year-old struck over C&D two starts ago, beating Court One (second) and Simon The Seagull (fourth), which further enhances his claims and it's hard to look past him. More was expected of Bollin Thou when only fourth over 2m7f at Exeter, but this drop in trip might see him in a better light off a career-low rating. Of the remainder, Kankin makes the most appeal.

After showing a glimmer of promise before fading on his handicap debut, Irish point winner THE BRICKEY RANGER might be the answer.

Dan Skelton switches Joyeux Machin and PRINCE ZALTAR back to fences and it is the last-named who makes most appeal. The eight-year-old beat all bar subsequent winner Kikijo at Cheltenham and is able to compete here from the same mark. Docpickedme made the frame in the Rehearsal and is now back to the rating from which he landed the Great Yorkshire over C&D. The Venetia Williams stable is clicking into gear and Alcedo played a part in that when successful on ground that probably wasn't as testing as he'd like at Newcastle.

Docpickedme can go well in this again but PRINCE ZALTAR (nap) is well treated if he can translate recent hurdle form back to fences.

Joe Tizzard's eight-year-old ran a fine race in first-time cheekpieces to finish third at Ascot and the assessor might have been kind to only put him up 2lb.

The novice COUNTRY MILE was looming large until a bad mistake two out here in October and is taken to make amends today.

This appears to be a simple task for KATEIRA. Dan Skelton's mare scored at Wetherby in a match against Champion Hurdle heroine Golden Ace, who scoped dirty afterwards before going on to land a dramatic Fighting Fifth. The selection then finished fourth in the Ascot Hurdle and a repeat of either effort would be more than enough. World Of Fortunes was runner-up in Listed company at Limerick in October and has to enter calculations along with Bethpage, who produced a career-best effort when second at Kempton last time.

This looks a good chance for KATEIRA to land a third win in this grade. Fellow dual Listed scorer World Of Fortunes is next best.

Recent Punchestown runner-up MY GOOD PAL can step up a place. Despite being beaten seven lengths at the finish, the son of Mount Nelson was following up a solid effort when reaching the frame at the same circuit. With the Gavin Cromwell yard emerging from an untypically quiet spell, it would be no surprise to see this six-year-old take another step forward. A beaten favourite when second over fences at Tramore last month, Mount Shenshan has to be respected. She is reunited with Charlie Mullins, who was on board for her only previous success. Koolio Kate also holds claims in an open contest.

Not many of these are in form and MY GOOD PAL (nap) can go one better after finishing second in a 21-runner contest last time

Point-to-point winner They Call Me Hugo travelled strongly to make a successful debut under Rules at Ffos Las and could have any amount of improvement to come, especially now stepping up in trip. However, it's hard to oppose CONMAN JOHN, who is two from two over timber and gave a beating to Kasino Des Mottes (fifth) at this venue in October. That earned him an official rating of 135 and if he runs to that level, he will prove hard to beat. Reckless Spending is expected to build on his third at Ascot and isn't ruled out.

While CONMAN JOHN does not have a monopoly on potential, he made much the strongest impression with his 3m win here in October.

BOBBI'S BEAUTY won last year's inaugural running and another bold bid is anticipated. A recent second at Warwick suggests she's capable of success off this sort of mark, with Freddie Keighley's 7lb allowance further helping her cause. Slow going would be a worry for Touquet, who was narrowly beaten on good ground over C&D last month, so Superstylin could prove a bigger threat on the back of recent placed efforts.

Freddie Keighley's useful 7lb claim might enable BOBBI'S BEAUTY to win this race for the second year running.

Bowmore has proved a lot happier since being switched back to hurdles. The seven-year-old won well at Newbury last month and is expected to be in the mix again, but a chance is taken with AMANCIO. He has progressed nicely over timber and goes into handicap company fresh from a comfortable victory at Sedgefield. Lanesborough improved in handicaps earlier in the year and has to be of interest on his return to action.

Preference is for LANESBOROUGH who progressed well last season and only came out of the Swinton Hurdle in May at the eleventh hour.

In a race where a couple of debutants catch the eye, the each-way value could lie with the once-raced BROSNA SHINE. Nicely supported when third in the Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival, the Sonny Carey-trained daughter of No Risk At All sets a fair standard. Hailing from a smaller operation, she could easily be sent off at a backable price, despite her solid form. The Willie Mullins-trained newcomer Babyburn is an obvious contender. With plenty of bumper winners in her pedigree, the half-sister to Ballyburn is bred for the job. Point-to-point winner Ash Hobbs must also hold strong claims on her first start under Rules.

There are plenty of interesting debutants, none more so than Ballyburn's half-sister BABYBURN. She is by a good young sire and can score

JUBILEE ALPHA was all over Sweet Caryline when making a shuddering mistake at the second-last at Wincanton last month. Alafdhal looks likely to be thereabouts at the finish, having won two of his last three outings, but it might be the turn of SIR BENEDICT once again. Stella Barclay's sprinter returned to the all-weather with a slightly unlucky second over C&D, considering he was forced to wait for a gap to appear, and he gets another chance. Gustav Graves could prove the pick of the remainder.

Sir Benedict and Gustav Graves can feature but this may well be best left to the in-form ALAFDHAL (nap).

Houquetot is a fascinating contender on his first start for David O'Meara, having won a Group 3 as a juvenile in France, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the run was needed after a gelding operation. Storm Star completed a hat-trick on All-Weather Finals day here and has to be respected, despite a career-high mark, but POCKLINGTON gets the vote. He has been knocking on the door in ultra-competitive sprint handicaps and has shaped as though 7f might bring about further progression.

It may be worth siding with POCKLINGTON who likes it here (112) and who looks well worth a go over this far.

Supporters of the hat-trick seeking Macarone left empty-handed when he finished stone last over 5f here, but the step back up in trip might reward those sticking with him. Even so, it may pay to side with JAMAICAN STORM, who failed to land a blow when fifth over a mile here last month. However, now 2lb lower and dropping a furlong in trip with Paul Mulrennan back in the plate, he is worth another chance. Bajan Bandit completes the shortlist.

Having finally exploited his reduced mark here 11 days ago perhaps BAJAN BANDIT can go in again off just 1lb higher.

ARCADIAN NIGHTS boasts an impressive strike-rate on the all-weather and returns to this venue for the first time since winning here in March. Only 2lb higher on this occasion, Mark Loughnane's charge could launch a strong challenge. Shihoku returned to form with a close second over a shorter trip at the track a week ago. He's not out of this, while recent Kempton winner Brasil Power is another solid option.

The vote goes to SHIHOKU, who turned things around with a near-miss here last Saturday and is a big player if he can repeat that form.

LESSAY scored at Wolverhampton a week ago with much more in hand than the winning margin of a neck would suggest. Hostility is proving hard to win with and was only fourth over 6f at Newcastle last time. He should have the measure of Reddeef on these terms, but it could pay to take a chance on the less-exposed AL HOFZAN. Georgina Nicholls' son of Kodiac took a step forward when finding only one too good at Chelmsford and will likely have more to offer.

Hostility sets the standard but he's had several chances and SQUIFFY, who shaped okay on debut, may be able to progress past him.

FIRST GREYED was in excellent form in the spring when making it three on the bounce and probably needed his two runs earlier in the autumn, racing too keenly on both occasions. The seven-year-old can bounce back to form at the chief expense of Equion, who was a beaten favourite at Bath when last seen but a repeat of his Nottingham effort prior would give him every chance. Rainwater completes the shortlist.

A trappy event but KING OF SPEED's latest run offered hope of a revival and he can come out on top with Billy Loughnane back on board.

Salaria won at Lingfield at the start of the month, but the drop in trip may be a cause for concern given she seemed to need every yard of the 1m2f to score. With that in mind, AMBER HONEY, who finished fourth at the same track on Monday, has every chance of gaining a third career success. She didn't seem to get home inside the final furlong and this should be more suitable. Pearly Squirrel and Amica head the remainder.

Top of the list is for the reliable AMBER HONEY, who still looks feasibly treated and is a big player back at this trip.
