12:20 Aintree (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ON DEADLY GROUND is a half-brother to the same connections' Potters Charm, who landed the Formby here last December. The five-year-old, who was just denied in his sole point-to-point back in April 2024, commands plenty of respect on his Rules debut. Mossy Fen Coolio ran out an impressive winner between the flags at Tallow in February and is expected to be a major threat, while Spreadsheet Guru and Pertemps are entitled to build on the promise shown in bumpers.

Having impressed in an Irish maiden point in February, MOSSY FEN COOLIO is taken to make a winning start to his rules career.

12:55 Aintree (Class 2) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Chasing Fire was disappointing for the majority of last season before showing signs of a return to form when third at Perth in April. He duly obliged back at the Scottish venue in September and is respected off 5lb higher, but KYNTARA shades the vote. The nine-year-old struggled when sent back over fences and he is back on the mark off which he finished second in the 2024 Pertemps Final. The Lord Maid improved for stepping up in trip at Ayr's Scottish National meeting and remains unexposed as a stayer.

Kyntara reverts to hurdles off a handy mark but preference is for CHASING FIRE, who returned to winning ways in good style at Perth

13:30 Aintree (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The wheels fell off Champagne Twist after unseating his rider at Cheltenham last November with a pair of underwhelming efforts at Ascot and Huntingdon, although he still has time on his side and the switch to fences may see him in a better light. Rebecca Curtis won this 12 months ago with subsequent Cheltenham Festival/Irish National hero Haiti Couleurs and the Welsh handler has a strong chance of following up with ANDY AMO. Progressive over hurdles last season, the six-year-old also made the trip over to Fairyhouse when runner-up in a series final and is expected to have more to offer in this discipline. Hidden History and King Of Answers head the remainder.

This could go to EL GRANJERO, who was second to a well-handicapped mare at Stratford in March on his sole previous outing over fences.

14:05 Aintree (Class 3) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Dunstall Rambler is likely to be popular after his 18-length success at Worcester, although a 12lb rise and significant step up in grade are both concerns. With that in mind, preference is for MAMBONUMBERFIVE, who won the Adonis at Kempton in February and his subsequent Grade 1 defeat at this venue can be forgiven. A mark of 128 should be workable for Ben Pauling's gelding as he looks to exploit an 8lb age allowance on his chasing debut. Others to note are Highlands Legacy, Alcedo and Javert Allen.

The selection is JAVERT ALLEN, a front-runner who has won two of his four chase starts and should be well suited by this course.

14:40 Aintree (Class 2) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Last year's winner King Turgeon has to be noted, but his two disappointing efforts to finish last season and a subsequent wind operation are concerns. As a result, the vote goes to EXCELLO, who was still in with a chance when making a bad mistake two out in the Topham over C&D in April. While competitive, this is not as strong as that race was and Nicky Henderson's six-year-old merits plenty of respect off a 2lb lower mark. White Rhino needs a career best, but the booking of Sean Bowen catches the eye and dropping back in trip should help him. The shortlist is completed by Gaboriot, Johnnywho and Jet Plane.

Last year's winner KING TURGEON (nap) was pulled up on his final two starts last season but reappears having had wind surgery.

15:15 Aintree (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Whiskeywealth wasn't disgraced in third in a 0-130 handicap at Southwell last month and makes just his second start for the Donald McCain yard, but stablemate PADDYS POLICY gets the nod. The five-year-old occupied the runner-up berth on his handicap debut at Wetherby and the assessor may have been kind to leave his mark alone. With the likelihood of more to come, he could prove tough to beat. Le Yacht warrants a market check on his handicap bow.

The runner with the most potential could be Alan King's DON'T MIND IF I DO who might be leniently treated on his handicap debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Pureis King justified favouritism on his first outing at Market Rasen and is respected, but he might find it tough to give his penalty away to GARRINCHA. The son of Doctor Dino changed hands for 87,000 euros as a two-year-old and is a brother to smart handicap chaser Madara. He can make an instant impression, while Molly's Lad needs to be monitored in the betting on his first appearance.

None appeals more than CAMPFIELD FLYER who descends from a useful family and whose stable's few bumper runners deserve major respect.
