The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

David O'Meara has his string in excellent form at present and the team could gain further success courtesy of NAPOLIAN. The son of Kodiac, who fetched 190,000 euros as a yearling, is related to a couple of useful sprinters - most notably Group 3 winner Glounthaune. It would come as no surprise were he good enough to strike on debut, while similar comments apply to the tongue-tied Shouldbeanothering. Mighty Magnus sets the form standard.

The newcomer NAPOLIAN holds some good entries and although likely to need further in time could be good enough to win this on his debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DANZAN was able to put an end to a losing run when successful over C&D last Monday. Tim Easterby's 10-year-old remains competitively handicapped under a 4lb penalty and is taken to follow up. Mattice was another who hadn't won for a while before scoring at Carlisle latest and he merits respect off a 6lb higher mark. Thunderstorm Katie, who finished fourth in behind Danzan last week, should not be overlooked.

In a tricky race the suggestion is GISELLES IZZY, who won at Ayr two runs back and is one of three runners from the Iain Jardine yard.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Boy Douglas kept on powerfully to record a comfortable success over the mile here last week and must be respected under a 5lb penalty, but it is KELPIE GREY who shades preference. Jim Goldie's charge was progressive last term before returning with a creditable second here recently. The gelded son of Havana Grey drops in class and could go one place better. Jkr Cobbler heads the remainder.

This can go to KELPIE GREY, who was a good second on his reappearance and should come on for the run. Redarna is next best.

7th (2) (125/1 -89%)Yellow Pages |
125/1(-89%) | (2) Yellow Pages 125/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap here most recent; generally out of form; plenty more needed Ex-Archie Watson; 0-11; well below his best on both starts this term; others stronger. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

JANNAS JOURNEY has been a revelation since Danny Tudhope took the mount at Hamilton recently, and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to stop her from landing the hat-trick following her latest course triumph. Over two lengths behind the selection here last week, Cooperation (second) is expected to go well again, while Jewel Maker is another to note on the back of a creditable effort at Musselburgh.

This could be a repeat of last Monday's 7f handicap when JANNAS JOURNEY beat Cooperation with neither getting the best of runs.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Things never went to plan for HORNSEA BAY when not getting a clear run and hampered at Doncaster last time out, but the son of New Bay did well to rally for fourth and a mark of 86 looks workable. David O'Meara's charge gets the vote ahead of class-dropper Born Ruler and Jujubella, who returned to winning ways with a taking performance at Haydock earlier in the month.

William Haggas has an excellent record at Ayr and has sent just one runner here today from his Newmarket yard, who is CROWN OF OAKS.

6th (5) (2/1 +27%)Ski Angel |
2/1(+27%) | (5) Ski Angel 2/1, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; well backed when scored by a neck off 48 at Musselburgh penultimate start; touch below form for no obvious reason fourth beaten 3l off 50 last time; can bounce back Two-time C&D winner who scored at Musselburgh two starts ago and could be a contender. |

7th (8) (125/1 -25%)Royal Emperor |
125/1(-25%) | (8) Royal Emperor 125/1, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; below par down the field in a classified race over 8f here most recent; generally out of form; all to do Tailed off at big odds on all 4 starts; transformation needed on first crack at sprinting. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SKI ANGEL won this in 2023 and, as she races off just 3lb higher now, she could be the one to come home in front. Fourth last time out at Hamilton after missing the start, she won at Musselburgh earlier in the month and has every chance. Zuffolo wasn't beaten far at Catterick and may be her biggest danger, followed by Wrestling Revenue, who returns to more suitable company.

Last year's winner ZUFFOLO (nap) stands out in a race which may not take much winning. He returned to form with a good third last time.

22/1(-38%) | (8) Sweet Kiss 22/1, Appeared not to stay 14l third in a handicap over 1m at Ripon most recent run on handicap debut; up in trip; more needed Well beaten thus far but very lightly raced and connections have done well with her family. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11th (11) (100/1 -100%)Uncle Liam |
100/1(-100%) | (11) Uncle Liam 100/1, No worthwhile form; top course trainer; plenty more needed Has shown very little, most recently on handicap debut over C&D three weeks ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Dingwall was beaten less than three lengths at Hamilton in May and, off 2lb lower, he has to enter calculations. ZEBRA STAR won well over C&D last week and a 5lb penalty may not stop her if she can be produced a little later this time, while Sweet Kiss could surprise a few people assuming she takes to the step up in trip.

The filly STRAYA was a well-backed winner over C&D on July 6 then did not have sufficient racing room to do herself justice at Hamilton.
Ths is the racecard key.
