CAPITAL THEORY lost his way for Charlie Johnston last season but he makes his stable debut in what appears to be a very winnable contest. The Muhaarar gelding sets the standard with an official rating of 86 and will undoubtedly be tough to beat if firing on all cylinders following a 272-day absence. Bucaneer's Spirit has posted a couple of creditable efforts this term and is another that should benefit from an ease in class, while Takeachancejimmy, a dual C&D winner, should not be overlooked.

Bucaneer's Spirit may need quicker ground so the dual C&D winner TAKEACHANCEJIMMY is a tentative selection back at this venue

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

A few of these would need improvement to feature, and so it looks best to side with PADDYDADDY. The son of Mehmas had been steadily progressing prior to a lacklustre Naas effort but he has far less to prove than many and might be capable of bouncing back. Faire La Nouba kept on into second over an extended 1m4f at Limerick last time and is respected for all that a drop in trip isn't certain to benefit him. Mighty Day sets the standard with an official rating of 70 and market support for him would be noteworthy.

It might pay to side with MINELLA STUDY whose confidence was boosted by a maiden hurdle win at Tipperary 18 days ago

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

ALBA CHIARA showed plenty of promise when filling third place on her handicap debut at Down Royal a month ago and the unexposed filly tops the shortlist on the back of that effort. That said, similar comments apply to Eutropia following her placed effort over a mile at Bellewstown and she may have more to come over this trip. Others to note are Eagles Dream and Think About It.

GALAXY WONDER has shown signs of improvement on her last two starts and the first-time visor might do the trick.

DEUTERONOMY arrives here on the back of a hat-trick last month and even an 9lb rise for the latest of those victories at Limerick may not be enough to stop him from adding another win to his record. Comfort Line should not be underestimated, despite some underwhelming efforts of late, while Stormie Outlook and Alto Sax are the pick of the remainder.

It might be worth taking a punt on LUNAR LANDSCAPE, who ran well on return from a long absence at Down Royal last time.

Very well supported when fourth at Roscommon last time, DERRY LAD can get back to winning ways. Dropped out from his wide draw, the Emmet Mullins-trained gelding ran a big race when staying on strongly inside the final furlong to be nearest at the finish. Cristal Clere holds strong claims despite his big weight. The John Nallen-trained gelding has dropped 6lb since a hugely encouraging reappearance at Tipperary in April. Navan runner-up Nans View also has every chance under Ronan Whelan.

Flying at the finish over 1m2.5f at Roscommon last time, DERRY LAD will appreciate going up to this trip and can score with cheekpieces

The admirable veteran ITSALONGLONGROAD can gain a sixth career Flat win. A previous course and distance winner, the gelding has the services of one of the more experienced riders in Paddy Harnett. Fresh from a hugely encouraging return to the Flat when third at Tramore recently, he can make all. Runner-up in a claimer here last month, I Do Believe has to be respected on her first start for trainer Ian Donoghue. Serotonin and Steps In The Sand are others to consider in a competitive race for the grade.

Not many make much appeal but I DO BELIEVE could be open to improvement raised in trip on debut for a respected yard.

BUDDY ONE might have too much class for this opposition. Rated 154 over hurdles, the Paul Gilligan trained eight-year-old is sure to be close to his peak with the festival just on the horizon. It would be no surprise to see the son of Sans Frontieres register a first Flat win at just the third time of asking. Recent Roscommon maiden hurdle winner Young Churchill is the obvious danger. Trainer Noel Meade has his string in excellent form and, the four-year-old sets the standard on his Flat form. Dual bumper winner Friary Road also holds his chance for the Ted Walsh stable.

The dual bumper winner FRIARY ROAD(nap) and he may be able to get his head in front after a decent run at Tramore two weeks ago
