13:40 Bangor (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Runner-up over further the last twice at Sedgefield when showing plenty of pace from the front, SOLENT GATEWAY must hold every chance dropping in distance. He can off the mark at the sixth time of asking, with Ffos Las second Herja looking best placed to chase him home as Danny Gilligan takes over in the saddle. A relatively promising third on her hurdles bow at Worcester last month, Top Tier Gossip is capable of being in the shake-up as well.

Patrick Griffin's bHERJA\p might have been stretched by 2m6f last month and is perhaps better judged on her earlier 2m1f third.

14:15 Bangor (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A highly encouraging second at Worcester on his chase debut last month, FULL MONTY is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and he can go one better. That may be at the main expense of Baskerville, who could not have won any easier on his chasing bow at Stratford, for which he has been raised 8lb. Runner-up on his last two outings over hurdles, Lune De La Mer is another to note on his first go in this sphere.

The pick is FULL MONTY, who is perhaps lucky to have been nudged up only 1lb for his clear second at Worcester.

14:50 Bangor (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIR TIVO may be 11 now, but he looked to be on excellent terms with himself when scoring over this distance at Cartmel last time out. A 2lb rise for that success could prove lenient with the champion jockey on board again, and he is preferred to Finest View, who got off the mark over fences at Huntingdon last month. God's Own Getaway may be suited by dropping back in trip and could also have a say in proceedings.

It's a bold move to run SIR TIVO under a 7lb penalty here but he might be up to the task. Finest View is second choice.

More positive tactics saw GUILLAUME finishing a close-up second at Kelso 12 days ago and a similar approach may prove fruitful. Donald McCain's charge makes grand appeal racing off an unchanged mark and may fend off Tropical Talent. The six-year-old is reverting to hurdles off a career-low mark and shouldn't be underestimated. Hope Hill could also have a say on the back of a 131-day layoff.

Back hurdling after some respectable chase runs, TROPICAL TALENT has strong claims if judged on his C&D second in September.

16:10 Bangor (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having completed a double with ease at Newton Abbot recently, Al Sayah warrants respect in her hat-trick bid. However, a quick turnaround and 7lb penalty could leave her vulnerable, with a chance taken on seasonal debutant WHIZZ KID. The nine-year-old boasts a good record on his return from a break and he lurks on an attractive mark. The in-form Liverpool Knight can make his presence felt too.

It's hard to get away from thriving mare AL SAYAH, who arrives here after two comfortable wins at Newton Abbot and is 3lb well in.

Having posted an encouraging second over an inadequate 2m3f on her stable bow at Fontwell last month, NEWMILL GETAWAY makes plenty of appeal now faced with a stiffer test of stamina. Today's extra half-mile distance looks perfect for the daughter of Getaway and a first victory over hurdles may beckon. The hat-trick seeking Heather Honey is likely to give another bold bid, while Killybegs Jet Lady and Clover Pass add further spice to the mix.

Improving 6yo HEATHER HONEY (nap) recovered from a last-flight jumping error to beat an in-form rival here last month and gets the nod.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
