14:25 Brighton (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Scott Dixon and connections landed the corresponding event 12 months ago, and they could do so once more courtesy of CANDY WARHOL. The gelded son of Twirling Candy has gained his first victories on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton recently and although yet to show his best on turf, he is unexposed on the surface. The six-year-old is well handicapped on past exploits and is taken to repel the likely challenge of recent C&D winner Time Patrol. Nelson Rose is another to consider.

There are other possibilities but TIME PATROL (nap) is hard to ignore up 2lb for a cosy win over C&D 26 days ago.

14:55 Brighton (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CRITICAL ACLAIM has filled the runner-up spot on each of his three racecourse appearances so far, and this looks a fine opportunity in which to go one better. Richard Hughes' charge sets a useful standard with an official rating of 79 and will take all the beating if handling the switch to turf. Saliko is the main threat, while Love You Millions is a newcomer to note.

Saliko has the ability to win races but CRITICAL ACLAIM is a notch above her and can win his first race on this turf debut.

15:25 Brighton (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Sol Argent ran in snatches at Wolverhampton when last seen in December, but first-time blinkers could sharpen him up and returning to turf looks a positive. However, preference is for QUEEN SANSA. The Almanzor filly had shown ability in maiden/novice company but stepping markedly up in trip ought to suit and it would come as no surprise were she to find improvement on her turf/handicap bow. Rumseg completes the shortlist.

Four of these have something to recommend them but QUEEN SANSA is the most interesting now upped in trip on her turf and handicap debut.

16:00 Brighton (Class 6) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

IREZUMI only found a well-fancied rival too good over track and trip last time and competes off an unchanged rating. The five-year-old's sole career victory came at this venue and it would be no surprise to see him return to winning ways. Sea Of Charm occupied the runner-up berth at Wolverhampton on her latest outing and is likely to be thereabouts, while Foinix completes the shortlist.

Course winner IREZUMI may be able to double his tally having bumped into a rapid improver here last time. Sea Of Charm is respected.

16:35 Brighton (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Kranjcar made it two wins from his last three starts when justifying favouritism over track and trip last month and holds an obvious chance. However, PUREFOY showed a lot more when finishing third at Thirsk when last seen and returns off the same mark. The four-year-old makes his first outing for the George Baker yard and may record a second career success. Zu Run is another to note.

Harbour Vision and Mashaan are likely to run well but KRANJCAR is taken to follow up his C&D win under today's penalty.

17:10 Brighton (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ANGLESEY LAD has made the frame in each of his last two starts over 6f at this venue and remains on the same rating. With Mikkel Mortensen claiming a handy 5lb this time around, he could be the one to beat. Port Hedland has run to a fair level in each of his three outings since switching to the Tony Carroll yard and is an interesting contender back on turf. Of the remainder, Mehmo makes the most appeal.

Anglesey Lad has been placed in each of his starts here but MEHMO is taken to make a winning return to turf.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
