14:20 Carlisle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MOLLY'S LAD was deemed good enough for a Listed bumper at Cheltenham on New Year's Day and performed creditably for fifth, and also went well when taking the bronze medal at Doncaster on his hurdling debut. Entitled to have improved plenty for that run, he could be the way to go. Lucy The Wire is more experienced over timber and boasts a victory at Leicester, so she's noted along with Newcastle bumper winner Majordomo.

Placed in what looked a strong junior hurdle at Doncaster last month, MOLLY'S LAD is probably the one to beat.

14:50 Carlisle (Class 2) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

TOMMY'S OSCAR's latest second behind the smart JPR One at Musselburgh reads well in the context of this veterans' handicap chase and the 11-year-old can give these rivals weight and a beating. Credo looks the pick of the Anthony Honeyball pair and brings winning C&D form to the table, while Hillcrest is a player too judged on his Uttoxeter second.

The answer might be CREDO, who won this race off a higher mark 12 months ago and will find this easier than her latest assignment.

15:20 Carlisle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GUET APENS is going to take a bit of beating in this novices' hurdle. A useful performer on the Flat, the six-year-old shaped as though he'd improve plenty for his opening hurdles third at Musselburgh and connections have found him a nice race. Itsinthename won at Catterick and They Want Me struck at Kelso, but it's questionable as to whether they're good enough to give the weight away to Guet Apens.

Nick Scholfield's promising new recruit ITSINTHENAME is taken to defy a 7lb penalty for his stylish debut hurdles success at Catterick

LTO Selection:

15:50 Carlisle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having supplemented a Wetherby demolition job when following up over C&D, Celestial Fashion merits the utmost respect in her hat-trick bid. However, another 8lb rise could anchor Ian Duncan's mare and preference is for BENMORE. The six-year-old was running with credit before a last-fence fall at Southwell and he may prove to be slightly better treated. Kadjar Des Mottes might take the bronze medal ahead of Kahavari.

There is no strong temptation to oppose CELESTIAL FASHION, who has been in superb form in recent weeks and can dominate from the front.

Latenightrumble arrives on the back of a respectable fourth at Chepstow and should give another good account, while Lady In The Park is entitled to build on her second-placed reappearance here.

Preference is for LADY IN THE PARK, who shaped as though this return to 3m would really suit when a promising reappearance second here

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A wind operation has revitalised VANILLA DANCER and a 2lb nudge for winning at Catterick looks highly workable in this company. Cutting back in trip was instrumental in that North Yorkshire success and Chris Grant's mare has a good chance of following up. Holly Bird travelled strongly when she won over an extended 2m4f at Newcastle and is another solid option, while Disco Annie and last year's winner Lady Babs tend to go well here and also command respect.

Sandy Thomson's HOLLY BIRD (nap) gets a confident vote to make light of a 6lb rise for her impressive breakthrough Newcastle victory

HOLLYWOOD HARMON was no match for the Cheltenham Festival-bound Stattler at Fakenham last month, but a literal reading of her proximity to that one-time Grade 2 winner gives her the most solid credentials here. Bellaney Lord was a 12-length winner in a point-to-point most recently and has to be of interest on just his second start over regulation fences. The returning A Moments Madness is a class dropper to bear in mind on his debut in a hunters' chase.

A handicap winner last spring, A MOMENTS MADNESS looks an interesting hunter chase prospect for his new connections.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
