PITTSBURG arrives here on the back of two wins earlier in the month and a 4lb rise for the most recent of those efforts may not be enough to stop him here. Arbennig is another recent winner that is likely to go very well in a race of this nature, while We'll Go Again and King Of Quinta are the pick of the remainder.

Lots with chances but PITTSBURG hasn't looked back since going chasing and is weighted to gain a hat-trick upped 4 lb for his fluent Market Rasen success nine days ago. Arbennig also arrives in excellent nick and heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can be made for King of Quinta, We'll Go Again and Jackhammer too.

Preference is for ARBENNIG as he bids for a third win in his last four starts.

LANDOFSMILES bounced back to form when accounting for a useful field over 3m2f at Uttoxeter a month ago and Peter Bowen's gelding merits the utmost respect off just a 3lb higher mark here. Jony Max has made the frame on his last couple of starts and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Bodhisattva and Tommie Beau.

The handicapper might have taken a bit of a chance dropping BREAKING THE ICE 3 lb for his quite encouraging reappearance here at the end of June and he's selected to notch a seventh chase success. The consistent Jony Max is second choice ahead of John McConnell-trained Irish raider Bodhisattva.

Plenty to consider but BREAKING THE ICE ran well enough over C&D two months ago to suggest he can gain another success.

Jelski has to be respected in his bid for a hat-trick but a 3lb rise for his most recent win will make life tougher for the nine-year-old. With that in mind, preference is for MARSHALLED, who failed to fire last time but is a big player based on his narrow defeat over C&D two starts ago. Others to note are Sword Of Fate and Lermoos Legend.

JELSKI bids for a course hat-trick and, if the pace is strong enough, he's up to completing it. If Sword of Fate is allowed his own way in front he'll be hard to pass and Kellyiscool, who was third to the selection here last time, can't be ruled out.

Topweight MARSHALLED is best forgiven his latest effort here and has decent claims on his previous C&D second.

Gifted Angel merits respect under a penalty for his recent Stratford success, but MAJESTIC JAMEELA, who receives 14lb from the former, is preferred. Stuart Edmunds' filly has run with credit on both of her starts over timber and any further improvement could see the daughter of Postponed get off the mark. Hooded ahead of his hurdling debut, market support would have to bring Balboa into the reckoning.

BALBOA achieved fair form on the level, and with stamina no issue switched to hurdles, he's selected to get the better of a couple with experience over timber in Majestic Jameela and Gifted Angel

The return to juvenile company can see GIFTED ANGEL gain a second win.

MY GIFT TO YOU made an immediate impact when switched to handicaps last month. A comfortable hurdles winner at Southwell, he went on to strike over fences next time out and James Owen's progressive five-year-old looks well placed to bring up his hat-trick now back over timber. Coal Fire and Prince Nino must enter calculations following their recent victories, while Camilla's Choice and Sir Canford are just two others to consider.

With five last-time-out winners, this looks very competitive. MY GIFT TO YOU has improved significantly since switched to this yard, equipped with a tongue strap and partnered by Harry Cobden the last twice, bagging handicaps in this sphere at Southwell and over fences at Worcester. The 5-y-o is taken to complete the hat-trick, perhaps at the chief expense of Coal Fire. Strike of Lighting also enters calculations and Camilla's Choice needs a second look, too.

A very competitive event could go to CAMILLA'S CHOICE after her emphatic Bangor win.

BLENDED STEALTH made a highly encouraging first start for the Lizzie Quinlan stable when he managed to hit the frame at Uttoxeter over 2m4f and the son of Walk In The Park now goes in a first-time tongue-tie, which could eke out the improvement needed to score now back up in trip. Last-time-out victor Unwanted Attention is a live threat after he accounted for his nearest rival by a length and he should go well off a 5lb higher mark. Any market support for Tip Top Tonto on his handicap bow would be of interest.

BLENDED STEALTH shaped encouragingly on his stable debut when third at Uttoxeter last month and, with a tongue strap applied, he can build on his latest effort to open his account. Unwanted Attention arrives here on the back of his first success and is feared most upped in trip, with Sunshine Girl completing the shortlist.

After his improved display when winning at Uttoxeter, UNWANTED ATTENTION (nap) makes most appeal.

SHANTOU SUNSET just missed out by a short head in a fierce battle to the line over an extended 3m1f around here last time and despite being raised 3lb for that effort, the nine-year-old can cope with the drop back in distance to score on only her second start for the James Moffatt yard. Jumping Susie makes her handicap bow after hitting the crossbar on both of her outings this year and she could get involved off what looks a workable opening mark of 108. Belles Benefit returns from a layoff but could prove the pick of the remainder if fully wound up for her reappearance.

Tricky stuff but JUMPING SUSIE might have more to offer now handicapping for an Irish yard that does well here and she gets the vote over Shantou Sunset and last year's winner Bon Retour.

Quite a competitive finale. SPOT ON SOPH is on a high enough mark but her recent efforts bode well.
Ths is the racecard key.
