KONDRATIEV WAVE has been knocking on the door on his latest starts, with a brace of placed efforts at Lingfield. The most recent of those saw him beaten a head into third over this distance and Tony Carroll's gelding has a solid opportunity to strike. Despite finishing fifth, Strobelight was beaten less than a length at Newcastle last time and a repeat of that would see him enter calculations. Diligent Henry heads the remainder.

Top of the list is the resurgent SECRET ROAD (nap) who made it 2-4 for James Owen when completing a double at Lingfield on Saturday.

GALAXY WONDER was joined on the line to share the spoils at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and is entitled to have further improvement to come on only his third start for Tony Carroll. Al Waqidi was a beaten favourite over C&D last week, but is capable of a decent showing off the same mark. Others for the shortlist include Brinton and Tam Lin.

Al Waqidi has to be respected after his good C&D run but preference is for GALAXY WONDER who has improvement in him on the AW.
