The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

He's An Angel just got the better of MASTER DANDY when the pair met at Wolverhampton on Monday but the latter is weighted to reverse the form being 3lb better off on this occasion. Michael Keady's gelding was carrying a 5lb penalty for scoring at the same venue the week before and is turned out quickly before the handicapper has another say. Others for the shortlist include Desdemona and Second Collection.

He's An Angel (second choice) got up late to deny MASTER DANDY three days ago but the latter is preferred over this shorter trip.

8th (3) (250/1 -279%)Anaba Girl |
250/1(-279%) | (3) Anaba Girl 250/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability in her runs so far. Although quite speedily bred, she may need more time before she is able to show improvement on what has been seen to date. Well beaten in two starts at Lingfield over 6f/7f; best to look elsewhere. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SECRET HISTORY hit the frame on both starts as a juvenile at Newbury and York. She shaped well on each occasion, most notably on her latest run despite being hampered at a crucial point, and the drop to 6f gives her an excellent opportunity to shed the maiden tag. Welcome Retreat is capable of being in the mix on her return to action, while Tabby Kat is respected after her third at Southwell earlier in the month.

Seven Fires is second choice behind SECRET HISTORY who showed plenty in two starts last year and may be suited by the drop to 6f.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (3/1 +10%)Dubai Magic |
3/1(+10%) | (2) Dubai Magic 3/1, Ran to form when winning a classified race here by 3/4l last time. Effective over 5f and 6f and best on all-weather, with more to come now that she has got her head in front. Off the mark at the 20th attempt when winning a classified over C&D last time; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (3/1 +60%)Lion Ring |
3/1(+60%) | (3) Lion Ring 3/1, Ran to form when a length third in a classified race at Wolverhampton on his most recent run. Effective at 5f and 6f and best on all-weather, giving him a chance in this. Four of his five wins have been here; close third at Wolverhampton last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DUBAI MAGIC has appreciated the drop into classified events since the beginning of the year, with a runner-up effort at Wolverhampton followed by a victory over C&D. The four-year-old is expected to confirm the placings with Poetic Jack, who was three-quarters of a length behind in second and appears likely to be competitive once again. Under Curfew is another with valid claims based on recent evidence and completes the shortlist alongside Bishop's Glory.

Dubai Magic beat POETIC JACK over C&D three weeks ago but the latter is selected to reverse those placings.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (9/2 +10%)Justcallmepete |
9/2(+10%) | (1) Justcallmepete 9/2, Bit below form when fourth, beaten 6l off a mark of 86 last time. Runs from the same mark here but has a wide draw. Effective at 6f and 7f, though the handicapper may have caught up. Completed a hat-trick when landing a C&D handicap; fourth in a higher grade last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (12/1 -33%)Intervention |
12/1(-33%) | (2) Intervention 12/1, Got no run and that effort can be ignored when seventh, beaten 9l off 86 last time. Races from 1lb lower here and the drop in grade is a help. Effective at 6f and 7f. Won at Lingfield off 3lb lower last month; latest effort is worth forgiving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (11/1 -38%)Rebel Path |
11/1(-38%) | (8) Rebel Path 11/1, Well backed and probably had every chance, despite an inexperienced jockey, when beaten 3 1/2l off a mark 1lb higher at Newmarket in July. Trained by a top course handler and effective at 5f and 6f, though a bit below par of late. Dual C&D winner; below his best at Newmarket when last seen 159 days ago; back on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (4/1 -14%)Stanley Spencer |
4/1(-14%) | (3) Stanley Spencer 4/1, Bit below form when beaten 3l off a mark 1lb higher at Southwell last time. Effective at 6f on the all-weather, but a bounce back is needed to feature prominently. Beaten a neck at Southwell in November but he was below his best there 28 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (80/1 -220%)Media Shooter |
80/1(-220%) | (6) Media Shooter 80/1, Did well considering he blew the start when beaten 5 1/2l in a handicap at Kempton last time. Has a wide draw again but is effective at 6f and 7f and could bounce back. Three-time AW winner; struggled in three starts since joining this yard; dropped 3lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JUSTCALLMEPETE had been in a rich vein of form prior to a below-par effort at Lingfield last time out. However, with the majority of his rivals arriving with something to prove, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if the three-time C&D winner bounced back to winning ways. Aberama Gold is likely to enter the reckoning after his recent third at Newcastle, while Stanley Spencer and Twilight Fun might fare best of the remainder.

Justcallmepete is second choice behind KNEBWORTH who returns to the AW off a handy mark having been off since October.

1st (1) (11/4 +8%)My Boy Harry |
11/4(+8%) | (1) My Boy Harry 11/4, Went a bit wide turning in but did well when second, beaten a length off a mark of 60 last time. Runs off the same mark here, is effective over 7/8f, and is not ruled out returning to this course. An easy C&D win and a good 2nd at Lingfield since blinkers went on; bang there once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (10/1 -100%)Charlatan |
10/1(-100%) | (9) Charlatan 10/1, Travelled well but found little when seventh, beaten 6l off a mark of 53 last time, and runs off the same mark here. Trainer is in form, has a wide draw, and the drop in trip could be a plus. 5-time AW winner; disappointing finishing effort latest; drops in trip; still on fair mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (9/4 +55%)Bullington Bry |
9/4(+55%) | (5) Bullington Bry 9/4, Went a bit wide and ran below form when beaten 8l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Drawn wide again here, which is of no help. Ten-race maiden but has shown enough to think a small race could fall his way; e-w shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (8/1 +60%)Amaysmont |
8/1(+60%) | (4) Amaysmont 8/1, Made too much use of when beaten 8l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Effective over 6-8f on this surface, but needs to drop the bit to return to form and the current mark looks stiff. Three course wins in 2024; dangerous mark if the return to this venue perks him up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (25/1 -25%)Potters Prince |
25/1(-25%) | (3) Potters Prince 25/1, Was a no-show from off the pace when beaten 5 1/2l in a novice at Lingfield last time. Usually held up, comes here off a short break, is bred to be effective around 8f, but looks up against it on handicap debut. Not beaten far on his last two novice runs but the form may not be solid; handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (25/1 -39%)You Are Everything |
25/1(-39%) | (8) You Are Everything 25/1, Ran below form when beaten 7l in a handicap at Kempton last time. Usually held up, is effective over 6-8f, and needs to bounce back. Fair chance on last summer's best turf efforts; 0-16 on AW but has course form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (18/1 -125%)Impulse Buy |
18/1(-125%) | (6) Impulse Buy 18/1, Was a bit keen when tried in cheekpieces and did not get home, beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Lingfield last time. Effective over 6/7f and remains capable off this mark. Near miss over C&D in November but failed to build on it last time; still has low mileage. |

10/1(-43%) | (7) Thomas Equinas 10/1, Ran a bit below form when beaten 6l in a handicap at Lingfield last time, having been in good form prior. Drawn wide and will need to bounce back. All wins at Chelmsford; not at best last time but the return to this track can help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (100/1 -300%)Lowestoft |
100/1(-300%) | (10) Lowestoft 100/1, Has shown no worthwhile form to date. Although there is speed in the pedigree, it is hard to make a case for. Poor form in his four starts and hung left at Southwell last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (6/1 -20%)Edergole's Gift |
6/1(-20%) | (2) Edergole's Gift 6/1, Ran to form in a new headgear combination when beaten a short-head off a 1lb lower mark at Lingfield last time. Effective over 6/7f and has a chance if building on that latest effort. C&D winner who went close at Lingfield last time; one to consider. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The introduction of cheekpieces, which are left off today, saw EDERGOLE'S GIFT return to form with a narrow second at Lingfield earlier this month and she makes grand appeal. Ryan Kavanagh's 5lb claim could prove crucial in her bid to go one better and she gets the nod over My Boy Harry. The Jim & Suzi Best-trained gelding has been in good heart of late and he's forecast to be in the mix once more, along with Thomas Equinas.

A tricky handicap in which THOMAS EQUINAS is marginally preferred to Edergole's Gift and My Boy Harry.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (8/1 +33%)Hiconic |
8/1(+33%) | (8) Hiconic 8/1, Ran to form when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Lingfield last time. Effective up to 16f on this surface and her mark continues to ease, which may help her competitiveness. Seven-time winner over hurdles but 0-10 on the AW; behind Taranjerine at Lingfield latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (25/1 -108%)Arenas Del Tiempo |
25/1(-108%) | (7) Arenas Del Tiempo 25/1, Lacked pace when beaten 6l in a handicap at Lingfield last time. Enjoys making it and is effective over trips from 10f to 16f, but a bounce back is needed on this occasion. Ended a long losing run here in August but well held in her three starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (14/1 -40%)Sullivan Bay |
14/1(-40%) | (4) Sullivan Bay 14/1, Slowly away and below form when finishing down the field in a handicap at Kempton most recently. Effective up to 16f on this surface but has a bit to prove at present and may need this run. Failed to beat a rival when last seen (June) but both of his wins have been at this track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/10 +37%)Taranjerine |
11/10(+37%) | (2) Taranjerine 11/10, Should have won, wearing cheekpieces for first time, when second beaten a head off 57 last time, 2lb higher here; effective 13-16f, acts on G and AW; good chance after small rise. Won here over 1m5f in November; bounced back when only just denied over 2m latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (7/1 -8%)Burano Murano |
7/1(-8%) | (1) Burano Murano 7/1, Poor hurdle debut well beaten in a juvenile hurdle at Kempton latest; cheekpieces first time; off a short-break; effective 10-12f, acts on GS and GF; fairly consistent. Struggled over hurdles when last seen two months ago but has shown ability on the Flat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (33/1 -230%)Shibuya Song |
33/1(-230%) | (6) Shibuya Song 33/1, Poor run back on the Flat when comfortably held in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective over 12f-14f but has enough to prove for now based on recent form. Won on the Flat in 2022 and over hurdles in 2024, but well beaten on recent stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (33/1 -313%)Alex The Great |
33/1(-313%) | (5) Alex The Great 33/1, Never in it after a slow start when well beaten in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Effective over 14f-16f, with all best form on this surface, but a bounce back is required. Three-time winner but he's been struggling in recent starts; others preferred. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having posted his best effort to date when runner-up at Wolverhampton in September, Rogue Justice must enter calculations on this reappearance. The four-year-old has the potental to find further improvement now sent over two miles and isn't taken lightly, but TARANJERINE is slightly more compelling. Jim Boyle's charge was denied a clear run at a crucial stage when finishing a narrow second at Lingfield earlier this month and compensation may await. Shibuya Song is also worth a second look in a refitted visor.

Course winner TARANJERINE (nap) went close at Lingfield last time and is selected to go one better, with Sullivan Bay next best.

4th (4) (7/2 +13%)Gennadius |
7/2(+13%) | (4) Gennadius 7/2, Improved for a longer trip when outclassing a poor field to win a maiden here by 8l last time. Effective from 6-8f and there may be more to come over 8f now handicapping. Pulled 8l clear in a weak maiden over this C&D two weeks ago; needs to build on that. |

5th (7) (10/3 +26%)Mandana |
10/3(+26%) | (7) Mandana 10/3, Was a bit keen but ran to form when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Kempton last time. Effective at this sort of trip, her mark is easing and she could be competitive again. 1-17 but posted creditable efforts on all three runs for this stable; place claims. |

6th (5) (40/1 -60%)Lady Justice |
40/1(-60%) | (5) Lady Justice 40/1, Never competitive up in trip when comfortably held in a handicap at Newmarket last time. From a top course trainer and off a short break, but up against it on 2025 evidence despite dropping to a nicer mark. Won a maiden at Epsom on her debut in 2024; never threatened in handicaps last year. |

7th (6) (4/1 +33%)Luminous Warrior |
4/1(+33%) | (6) Luminous Warrior 4/1, Ran to form up in trip when landing a handicap by a neck off a 6lb lower mark at Kempton last time. Effective at 7/8f, with his trainer in form, and can go well again. Off the mark at Kempton latest; up in grade off 6lb higher mark; could have more to offer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The application of first-time blinkers appeared to transform recent C&D winner LEXINGTON JET and another big run looks likely. The four-year-old scored with enough in hand to suggest that he can overcome a 5lb rise and he edges the verdict over Gennadius. Richard Hannon's colt opened his account impressively at the 13th time of asking in a C&D maiden latest and should remain competitive back in a handicap. H Key Lails and Luminous Warrior are others to consider.

Lexington Jet could have more to offer over this trip but LUMINOUS WARRIOR is taken to follow up last month's Kempton win.
Ths is the racecard key.
