13:37 Chelmsford City (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ANEIRIN'S SWORD dead-heated for the victory over C&D two starts ago and was only narrowly denied when trying to follow up at Kempton 11 days ago. The progressive three-year-old may well be able to defy a 2lb rise and return to winning ways. Thanh Nam was second at Wolverhampton earlier in the week and could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Bergamo Gold and Let Her Go.

The vote goes to ANEIRIN'S SWORD, who dead-heated here on his handicap debut and backed that up with a close call at Kempton.

14:07 Chelmsford City (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Shafdar sets the standard based on his third over a mile at Kempton on his debut for these connections last month. That said, a chance can be taken on PICTURE PALACE, who lacks race experience but is a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Blair House. With that in mind, it would be no surprise to see the son of Pinatubo make a winning debut. Immediate Jewel is the pick of the remainder.

Well-connected Picture Palace could turn out to be a class apart but SHAFDAR gets a token vote after a very promising 3rd at Kempton

14:37 Chelmsford City (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SANDITON bounced back to form when third over 7f at Kempton on Wednesday and a reproduction of that level of performance would give him a big chance here. However, similar comments apply to King David following his close fourth at Southwell on Thursday and he should not be underestimated. Toussarok is a player based on his second at Lingfield two starts ago, while Mandana completes the shortlist.

All of these have found winning difficult but INVINCIBLE MELODY continues to run well and returning to 7f looks a positive.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MONKS MEAD accounted for Marion's Boy (fourth) and Marinakis (fifth) when scoring at Lingfield on his penultimate start and that looks like the key piece of form to focus on. Mark Usher's gelding backed that effort up with a good second over the same C&D last time and is the one to beat. Prince Hector is capable at this level and can't be ruled out either.

Preference is for MARINAKIS, who is 2-2 at Chelmsford and won a classified event over C&D on his penultimate run.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Harlington won by two lengths at Lingfield on his latest outing and holds an obvious chance, but it may pay to side with JODHPUR BLUE. Ian Williams' gelding finished a creditable third in a warmer contest at Wolverhampton and this drop in grade, along with the shorter trip, could work the oracle. My Awele occupied the runner-up berth over a mile here last month and is another to consider.

Quite open despite only six running. HARLINGTON is up the weights but he's made a bright start for Charlie Clover.

Patrick Chamings' charge finished a respectable third in a classified contest here last month and a return to winning ways looks imminent based on that evidence.

Respectable Jack and Gundogan (second choice) are solid contenders but FOREVER NOAH is preferred after his recent good efforts.

16:37 Chelmsford City (Class 6) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MIO AMICO got off the mark with a victory over 1m4f at Lingfield last month. A 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor him here, given the third has subsequently landed a double, and this extra yardage holds no fears for Michael Keady's inmate. Sneaky Blinder won four times on the all-weather last year and looks a bigger danger than Tuba on the evidence of his recent second at Wolverhampton.

Lingfield winner MIO AMICO (nap) has plenty going for him here and is taken to beat the in-form pair Tuba and Sneaky Blinder.
