The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ECLIPSER showed ability when staying on strongly to finish fourth at Windsor on her introduction. She left it late to find top gear and should be a lot wiser. Athena's Fortune debuted in a warm race at Newmarket last month and could fare better at this level in a first-time hood, while Due Destiny's half-sister won as a two-year-old and the daughter of Due Diligence is a newcomer to note.

There's plenty in her pedigree to suggest ECLIPSER can transfer her good debut to AW. She sets a clear standard for the rest to aim at.

200/1(-100%) | (8) Miss Ruby 200/1, Well beaten in a novice over 5f at Southwell only start; wide draw; up in trip; needs huge leap forward Stable is 0-63 with its juveniles and this one was beaten a long way on her debut (5f). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

NIFTY overcame a tardy start to finish third over the minimum trip at Salisbury on debut. Doing all her best work in the closing stages, Richard Hughes' filly is taken to launch a serious challenge over this extra furlong. Flying Macs is another likely to appreciate the extra yardage on the back of her debut effort at Wolverhampton, while Who Is Alice is related to a winning sprinter and is worth a second glance.

After a good debut third on turf (5f) NIFTY is selected to go in at the second time of asking on this first go on AW and step up to 6f.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Smokey Malone prevailed by a head in a similar contest here in April and another good effort looks likely. However, SULLIVAN BAY looks to have the stronger form on the evidence of his third in a higher grade over course and distance back in January. He's been eased in the weights subsequently and Jim Crowley's presence is another positive. Zooks is usually in the mix at this level and could also feature.

Most of these have something to recommend them but MISS APPLEJACK retains a bit of upside and this longer trip can eke out more.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An open contest in which only a tentative vote can go to the Marco Botti-trained YUVRAAJ. A 5lb rise for a narrow victory at Kempton would appear harsh but he's open to further improvement, especially now stepped up to 1m2f. The addition of first-time cheekpieces could eke out more from Riyadh Gem, who should appreciate a return to the all-weather. Others to note include The Hrse Horse and Aqab.

Bottomweight THE HRSE HORSE did very well to go close on his recent handicap debut at Windsor and gets the nod here.

Cape Flora will find this easier than her recent Ascot assignment and the daughter of Kingman merits respect, as does newcomer Sea The Wonder, who fetched 310,000gns as a yearling. Charlie Johnston landed the corresponding event 12 months ago so Jeanne Baret can't be overlooked, but the vote goes to TREASURED ANGEL. Fourth in a warm Newmarket maiden on her debut, she could take a step forward now upped in distance.

The vote goes to DANZA PARIGINA who caught the eye when a staying-on fifth on her debut over 1m here a fortnight ago.

A confident vote goes to CLOCKMAKER, who made a triumphant return when defeating a subsequent winner at Doncaster last month. David Simcock's charge is only 2lb higher back on the all-weather and with improvement likely, he looks set to double his tally. That being said, Kingdom Of Stars is 2lb well-in having struck the woodwork at Kempton latest and he ought to go well, along with Dancingwithmyself.

The vote goes to DANCINGWITHMYSELF who shaped as though worth another go over a longer trip when beaten a neck at Kempton last month.

STELLA HOGAN is the obvious option as one of only two C&D winners in the field, and she won last time out at Kempton. With Mason Paetel able to claim 7lb, a fifth career success could be on the cards. Moostar is upped in trip and is of some interest, but Wolverhampton second Ornately looks the bigger danger off just 1lb higher.

Preference is for STELLA HOGAN who is 2lb well in having avoided a penalty for last week's Kempton success.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Adelaide Bay has won two of his three starts this season including an easy C&D victory in April, and he can go close despite an added 3lb from the handicapper. CITY CAPTAIN won despite being left with plenty to do on his first start of the season at Pontefract and, if he takes another step forward, a 2lb rise looks unlikely to stop him. Kodi Banphrionsa could do better on her handicap debut.

Adelaide Bay is respected but CITY CAPTAIN (nap) kept a lowly mark somewhat under wraps with a narrow win for his new yard last time
Ths is the racecard key.
