18/1(-125%) | (6) Personal Pride 18/1, Made a promising debut after a slow start when beaten 2 1/2l in a maiden over 7f at Wolverhampton. Should improve but the drop to sprinting may not suit. Stayed on for fifth in a similar event at Wolverhampton (7f) last month; open to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (16/1 -220%)South Coast Star |
16/1(-220%) | (11) South Coast Star 16/1, 20 Mar; 18,000gns Starman filly; half-sister to Haikbidiac, very smart at 6f; dam smart at 7f; interesting debutant. Starman half-sister to eight winners; dam useful; good pedigree for a race of this nature. |

14/1(+13%) | (7) Rib Shot 14/1, Showed promise on debut after a slow start when 8l fourth in a maiden here first time out. Effective at 6f and should improve with experience. This month's C&D debut wasn't without hope but he may be a longer-term prospect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (66/1 -313%)New Objective |
66/1(-313%) | (4) New Objective 66/1, Ran to a similar level as on debut when down the field in a maiden over 8f at Brighton last time. Bred to want 7/8f and not sure the drop to sprinting is the right move. Debut effort (7f, AW) was promising enough but no progress for 1m latest; now tries 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (125/1 -213%)Lilykoy |
125/1(-213%) | (9) Lilykoy 125/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability, having been well beaten in both starts. Sire was a miler and dam a stayer. Big prices and well beaten in two 7f runs this month; hard to fancy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

READER should have learned plenty from her debut second at Goodwood earlier this month and ticks plenty of the right boxes. A switch to Polytrack is unlikely to prevent another bold showing from the daughter of Mohaather and a breakthrough victory may beckon. Afton Down left his opening seventh at Wolverhampton behind when filling the runner-up spot at Brighton a fortnight ago and is feared most, ahead of From The Hip.

South Coast Star is a well-bred newcomer for this level but AFTON DOWN has run well on both starts and could be hard to catch.

10/3(+58%) | (4) Far Too Fizzy 10/3, Struck into at the start, made too much use of and then stopped quickly when down the field in a 7f Southwell maiden last time. Some promise 5-7f with plenty of speed in pedigree; drops in trip after stopping quickly latest. Modest form so far but bred to sprint and goes handicapping at a low level; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (11/1 +0%)Kuiama |
11/1(+0%) | (5) Kuiama 11/1, Too free and showed little when well beaten in a maiden at Goodwood latest. Returning from a break and well held on previous starts; has plenty to prove on nursery debut. Whiff of ability for previous yard; makes nursery/stable debut at a low level; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (2/1 +56%)Woody Y Fernandez |

4th (2) (4/1 -78%)Oh So Perfect |
4/1(-78%) | (2) Oh So Perfect 4/1, Below form when dropped in trip and beaten 4l off 53 over 5f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 6f and consistent in novices on sound surfaces; the step back up in trip should help. Lacked the pace to threaten on nursery debut (5f) latest but was sent off fav; unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (4/1 -45%)Miss Ayala |
4/1(-45%) | (3) Miss Ayala 4/1, Scored by 3/4l off 48 over 7f here on her penultimate start but did too much early last time. Wide draw; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather; better than latest when overdoing it in front. 7f win here last month has been franked; bad draw latest; high on the list back at 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (25/1 +0%)Jooliah |
25/1(+0%) | (8) Jooliah 25/1, No impact when down in trip and well beaten in a maiden here last time. Wide draw; yet to show any worthwhile form but may do better handicapping at this lowly level. First realistic assignment now handicapping but he does need a significant step forwards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 -56%)Audere |
28/1(-56%) | (6) Audere 28/1, Below what she showed in novice events when beaten 6l in a nursery over 5f at Southwell last time. Some promise at 6f but up against it judged on handicap efforts. Not living up to pedigree yet but still has time to come good; not a solid option though. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (66/1 -100%)Independent Angel |
66/1(-100%) | (9) Independent Angel 66/1, Again made no impact when beaten 5l in a nursery over 5f at Redcar last time. Bred to be effective at sprint trips but has shown nothing so far and looks set to struggle. Poor form in four starts, not faring much better switched to a low-grade nursery latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

WOODY Y FERNANDEZ may have found his latest fifth over 5f at Redcar on the sharp side and this return to 6f may prove fruitful. The introduction of a hood may help Jennie Candlish's charge settle better and he edges the vote over Miss Ayala. The daughter of James Garfield scored over 7f here on her penultimate outing and she isn't taken lightly. Market support for nursery/stable debutant Kuiama would be interesting.

Kuiama is interesting on her stable debut but MISS AYALA's course win represents solid form and she had excuses last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having finished in third on her opening bid at Lingfield 16 days ago, Perdy In Paris is a potential improver stepping up in distance. However, APPLESANDPEARS was more eye-catching on her debut second on the same day at Leicester and Ed Bethell's filly shades the verdict. Baandee posted a bold bid from the front on her first appearance over C&D last month and may fare best of the remainder.

Applesandpears is greatly respected after her promising debut but BRIGHT CITY LIGHTS could improve again and gets the nod.

Flattered by Haydock Listed run; trip should help though the draw is not ideal. Hit hard for a good Listed run in May; struggled in handicaps since; others are stronger. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FOUETTE successfully stepped into handicap company at Southwell 23 days ago and the daughter of Acclamation is an attractive proposition, with a 5lb rise suggested as readily workable at this stage of her development. Stellenbosch won a novices' event at the same venue last month and could also have a big say now she has proven herself on Tapeta. Al Joory and Aramis Grey are other strong contenders.

Aramis Grey and Al Joory are respected but FOUETTE (nap) created a positive impression on her reappearance and can follow up.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

2/1(+11%) | (1) Flowstate 2/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 1 1/4l off 64 last time. Best at 6f and proven on AW; considered again having shown form on this surface recently. Bumped into an improver at Wolverhampton on Saturday; solid claims off the same mark. |

Lacklustre over 7f last time but two placed efforts over 6f last month; cheekpieces on now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FLOWSTATE's two recent second-placed finishes in similar company read well and he could be up to the task of giving weight away all round at this level. Due Date is respected in bidding for a hat-trick. However, he hasn't won from a mark this high before and needs another personal best. Poetic Jack is a previous course winner to also consider from 4lb below his last winning mark.

Due Date should go well in his hat-trick bid but he may have to give best to top-weight FLOWSTATE, who also arives in good order.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Due to go up 4lb in the future after a comfortable success at Southwell last Thursday, JUNO STAR is taken to strike again while the iron is hot, with Ashley Lewis' 5lb claim a major plus. Placed on each of his last two outings, and a winner over C&D in February, Sir Rodneyredblood is one to note, along with Shalaa Asker, who has run with plenty of credit on his last two outings over track and trip.

Juno Star is unpenalised for last week's Southwell win but DARK SIDE PRINCE may be able to exploit his reduced mark.

5th (1) (14/1 +0%)Forca Timao |
14/1(+0%) | (1) Forca Timao 14/1, Too keen and well below form when finishing down the field in an 11f handicap at Windsor most recently. Off a short break and suited by 10-11f. Southwell win looks an outlier, with a bit to prove up in trip. 1m3f win off 2lb lower in April; out of form since and has stamina to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not beaten far on each of his last two starts over slightly further here, CARDINAL POINT sets the standard on form and can return to winning ways, with Hector Crouch an eye-catching booking. Must Believe returned from a break to score comfortably over 1m3f at Kempton last month, but he must now prove himself back over further, while The Bay Warrior is best judged on his penultimate victory at Lingfield.

3yos Must Believe and CARDINAL POINT look the pair to focus on and the latter's proven stamina earns her the verdict.

6th (7) (11/2 +31%)Mythical Bird |
11/2(+31%) | (7) Mythical Bird 11/2, Ran her race back up in trip when beaten 3l off 72 here last time. Effective at 10f and most effective on the all-weather; needs more on recent efforts. Maiden; creditable shows in AW handicaps this autumn but more needed in competitive race. |

7th (9) (22/1 -267%)Gretna Dreams |
22/1(-267%) | (9) Gretna Dreams 22/1, Scored by 1/2l off 61 at Newmarket in July, but was below form off a revised mark last time. Suited by 10f and a sound surface; had been progressing until latest, though the handicapper may now be catching up. Won 2 of first 3 runs over 1m2f for yard; disappointing latest; Polytrack is an unknown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Unbeaten in two starts over C&D, including when scoring easily here recently, WYLD BILL should have plenty more to come off 8lb higher. Narrowly denied in a contest at Kempton that has worked out well since, Frostmagic could improve with another go at this trip, whereas Time Tested should appreciate a return to this track, having scored here off 4lb lower in March. Gretna Dreams and Mythical Bird may also have a say in proceedings.

Time Tested and Vilaine Verlaine can give it a good shot but WYLD BILL is taken to continue on the upgrade.
Ths is the racecard key.
