FORGE VALLEY LAD was denied a clear run at a crucial stage when finishing fourth over this trip at Lingfield recently and, eased 2lb, he gets the vote to gain compensation. Star Of St James ran out a ready winner under this rider over 1m2f at Nottingham on his penultimate start and, on the back of a solid fourth at Carlisle latest, he warrants respect. C&D winner Stormingin is also considered.

BASCINET left the strong impression that his turn is near when finding just one too good at Bath a fortnight ago and he looks the way to go. With last month's spin at Goodwood likely to bring him on, Meadram could be a threat, along with Handel and Star of St James.

Forge Valley Lad and Meadram are both interesting at this level but STAR OF ST JAMES could be hard to peg back.

Khutulun goes up in trip on her nursery debut sporting first-time cheekpieces and is a player, while Havana Club also merits consideration. The verdict is for MEHMASSELF AND I, though, who could improve for the application of a first-time tongue-tie and reverse Kempton form with the aforementioned Havana Club. Of the others, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Lift Lady went well.

ME TARZAN shaped better than the bare result making his nursery debut at Kempton recently and remains with potential. Havana Club, Khutulun and Lift Lady round off the shortlist.

Provided a wide draw proves no hindrance, ME TARZAN may be the answer. Second choice is City Captain.

SAPPHIRE VALLEY impressed when scoring with the minimum of fuss over 7f at Wolverhampton on his debut last week, and the son of Blue Point gets the nod to give weight and a beating to these rivals. This step up in trip can see 32,000-euro breeze-up purchase Rock Master improve on his debut effort over 5f at Lingfield and he can give the selection most to think about. Terramindar is also worthy of consideration.

SAPPHIRE VALLEY made the perfect start at Wolverhampton last week and with further improvement on the cards, George Boughey's charge is fancied to defy a penalty at the expense of Hyperchromatic, who ran to a similar level as on debut when fourth at Ripon 6 weeks ago and should be bang there on all-weather debut. Debutants Campani and Bust A Moon can fight out third.

The way SAPPHIRE VALLEY swept clear at Wolverhampton last weekend marks him down as potentially useful and he can defy a penalty.

SHAMADOR showed plenty of ability when finding only a progressive rival too good on his racecourse debut over 7f at Newcastle and, with significant improvement likely, he should take some stopping. Archie Watson's horses are in good form and this son of Shaman can continue that recent run. A win appears just around the corner for Metro Dubai, who ran well when second over 7f at Wolverhampton latest, while Mandana also warrants respect.

SHAMADOR showed plenty to like when runner-up at Newcastle on his debut and should know even more this time, so is a strong selection to go one better on this occasion. Metro Dubai and Mandana haven't proven particuarly progressive to date but have at least shown at fair level of ability and are likely to prove the biggest threats.

Metro Dubai and Mandana (second choice) have solid claims but the debut effort of SHAMADOR offered hope of better.

ONE ROAD may have won by further had he got a clear passage when getting up late to score over 7f at Wolverhampton on Monday, and he can strike again while the iron is hot. Dominique Van Der Kraats' 7lb claim in the plate negates the 6lb penalty for that half-length triumph. Tiana Rose is feared most after a decent third over 6f at Brighton earlier this month, while Prada On Parole heads the remainder.

Not a particularly deep contest, so ONE ROAD is expected to defy a 6 lb penalty and follow up from his win at Wolverhampton earlier in the week. Prada On Parole wasn't seen to entirely best effect at Wolverhampton last week and remains of interest on her prior Brighton second, whilst Specified appeals as the type to do better now in a nursery.

The most striking contender is ONE ROAD, who took another major step forward when scoring on his recent nursery debut at Wolverhampton.

Only narrowly beaten over 6f at Brighton on his penultimate start, NOGO'S DREAM can get his head in front. Richard Hughes' runner arrives here off 1lb lower than that Brighton outing and, should he bounce back to form following a mediocre Sandown display, he should be difficult to stop. Happy Tears rates as the biggest danger after a C&D success last time, while Scarboroughwarning is respected back in handicap company.

THE WAITING GAME is back on a good mark and can repeat last year's success in this race. The chief threat may come from well-drawn 3-y-o fillies Scarboroughwarning and Happy Tears.

Recent C&D winner HAPPY TEARS (nap) can defy a 2lb higher mark at the main expense of last year's winner The Waiting Game.

LION RING is in the form of his life at present and a 4lb rise for his most recent success over 5f here may not be enough to prevent him from landing the hat-trick. Stepping back up to 6f looks like a good move and he may have too much for comfortable Wolverhampton winner Koji and Time Patrol, who was narrowly denied at the same track on Monday. Lewis Barnes and War Zone are expected to be thereabouts as well.

TIME PATROL finished to good effect when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time and, if they go a sound pace, he's fancied to go one better. Lewis Barnes reacted well to blinkers when second over C&D recently, so he's a viable danger, while Lion Ring is unlikely to be far away.

Plenty have possibilities but Monday's Wolverhampton runner-up TIME PATROL gets the vote ahead of hat-trick seeker Lion Ring.

A comfortable winner over C&D last time out, TWITCH can follow up off a 7lb higher mark given he's in such good form and is lightly raced on the all-weather. He can get the better of the unexposed Frankie Valliance, as well as Diligent Henry, who went close on each of his last two starts at Wolverhampton. Others to note include Edergole's Gift, Match Anthem and Poetic Jack.

The vote goes to PROFITMAN, who has been in better form than his form figures would suggest of late and this step back up to 7f could be just the ticket. Twitch outpointed Capallcliste in ready fashion over C&D recently and he is next on the list, while Poetic Jack is third choice.

There's no shortage of pace in here, including from TWITCH, who may be able to follow up his C&D win from nine days ago.

Not beaten far when going from the front over a furlong further at Wolverhampton on Monday, WE'RENOTREALLYHERE is turned out quickly and can strike over a distance he was successful over at Lingfield last month. An eye-catcher when hampered at the start before eventually keeping on well for third over 7f at Wolverhampton last time, Kinematica is a key player along with Marayel and Windsor winner Hurricane Power.

BOLD SUITOR snapped a losing run stretching back more than 2 years when getting the better of an unexposed rival here recently. He is taken to follow up, perhaps at the chief expense of We'renotreallyhere, who put in a good shift at Wolverhampton last week. Valadero is a live each-way candidate, while Hurricane Power has only gone up 3 lb for his Windsor success and is in with a shout.

An open race in which the vote goes to BOLD SUITOR, who cashed in on a reduced mark when beating a clear second over C&D last week.
