12:15 Cheltenham (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Runner-up at Uttoxeter on his hurdling bow, JUST GOLDEN finished a solid third when acquitting himself well in this higher grade at Newcastle last time. The son of Flemensfirth beat a couple of subsequent winners in the process and another bold bid looks in the offing. Placed in a Listed bumper, Step Ahead made a promising start over hurdles when second at Warwick. He could have a say in proceedings, while Kiwi Rush will likely have come on for his fourth at Newbury and is another to consider.

It looks fairly tight among the main contenders. The percentage call goes to STEP AHEAD, ahead of Just Golden.

12:50 Cheltenham (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Narrowly beaten in the Grade 1 Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree last term, REGENT'S STROLL has taken well to the larger obstacles. He finished a promising third at Newbury in November prior to landing a match at Wincanton in good style and Paul Nicholls' charge looks one to keep the right side of. Califet En Vol offered plenty of encouragement when second here on his chasing bow and rates a bigger threat than the penalised winners Eagle Fang and Knight Of Allen.

This can go to REGENT'S STROLL, who looked an exciting recruit to chasing when beasting a useful rival at Wincanton last month.

13:25 Cheltenham (Class 2) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Does He Know ended a barren spell when landing a veterans' chase at Haydock on his reappearance. It remains to be seen if he can repeat that effort raised 6lb and HERAKLES WESTWOOD makes more appeal. Warren Greatrex's chaser faced a tougher assignment when fourth in a Grade 3 handicap here last month and this looks more his level. Excello could also bounce back on this faster surface, while New Order lurks at the bottom of the weights and can make his presence felt.

Judged on his recent course form, HERAKLES WESTWOOD looks the one to side with. Katate Dori is second choice.

14:00 Cheltenham (Class 1) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Twinjets is a must for any shortlist as he confirmed the promise of his Fontwell success with an even more impressive Newbury triumph. Expect him to go off in front, but fellow hat-trick seeker Just Over Land will keep him honest and Matata likes to get on with it too. Add to that Glengouly, who made all here in the December Gold Cup, and this could be run to suit a closer, with C&D winner RISKINTHEGROUND put forward as the one to be on.

With further improvement plausible, JUST OVER LAND is interesting despite being out of the weights. Second choice is Il Ridoto.

14:35 Cheltenham (Class 1) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It hasn't worked out for Lucky Place over fences but he's more than capable of bouncing back now switching to timber, as he beat Gowel Road in this 12 months ago and was sent off 11/2 for the Stayers' Hurdle at the Festival. Stable companion Jingko Blue isn't without a squeak, but it was hard not to be super impressed with the way KABRAL DU MATHAN won at Haydock on his first start for Dan Skelton and he could take some stopping with further improvement to come.

Very promising KABRAL DU MATHAN can follow up his impressive reappearance win and enhance his Stayers' Hurdle claims.

Ma Shantou didn't show at Haydock last time, but would have every chance on the evidence of his previous course success. Ace Of Spades finished a solid fourth in the aforementioned Haydock handicap and commands respect, but DOUBLE POWERFUL has been given time to get over his Ludlow fall in a beginners chase and is really interesting back over timber at a track where he's enjoyed success in the past.

There is interest from top to bottom in this field but ACE OF SPADES (nap) is tipped ahead of Spike Jones.

15:40 Cheltenham (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It looked a decent Aintree bumper that MOLLY'S LAD finished second in on debut and it would be no surprise if he went one better here under a more positive ride. Solly's Gold won well at Wetherby and warrants respect, although he's up in class. Roximan is entitled to have come forward for his Wincanton effort and is respected for a top yard, while the winner of that race Bailly's Comet also comes into calculations.

Several contenders bring significant potential, most notably SOLLY'S GOLD. Second pick is Molly's Lad.
