(1) (9/4 +10%)Precious Man |
9/4(+10%) | (1) Precious Man 9/4, Improved when winning a juvenile hurdle at Auteuil over 2m2f by a head last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time; effective around 2m and handles ground with some cut; showed useful form in France and should have more to offer for a top yard. British debutant whose French form, shown at Auteuil, has substance; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (5/2 +55%)Secret Force |
5/2(+55%) | (10) Secret Force 5/2, Won a juvenile hurdle at Punchestown by 6 1/2l last time; effective at 2m and acts on any ground; very well bred and could progress further for his new yard over hurdles; probably already sets the form standard on debut effort. 2-2 for new yard, last time winning a notable race at Punchestown on hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (10/3 +72%)One Horse Town |
10/3(+72%) | (9) One Horse Town 10/3, Quickened clear easily and improved under a positive ride at a sharp track when outclassing rivals to win a juvenile hurdle at Kempton by 10l last time; effective at 2m on good ground; looks a useful summer recruit over hurdles who isn't dismissed up in grade. Three easy wins since switched to this code; brings potential to these deeper waters. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (8/1 +43%)Galactique |
8/1(+43%) | (3) Galactique 8/1, Still learning but improved to defy a penalty when winning a juvenile hurdle at Fontwell over 2m2f by 2 1/4l last time; effective at 2m on decent ground; the yard does well with ex-Flat horses in this sphere and the stiff track should suit. Progressive in juvenile hurdles at Fontwell; new scenario and upped in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (12/1 +25%)Kate O'riley |
12/1(+25%) | (12) Kate O'riley 12/1, The yard has won the last two renewals of this race; overcame greenness on a promising hurdle debut when winning a maiden hurdle at Ludlow by 4l last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to firm ground; unproven on softer going. Easy success against her own sex at Ludlow; now the sole filly in a stronger field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (12/1 +45%)Lord |
12/1(+45%) | (7) Lord 12/1, Quickened clear with ease and outclassed rivals when winning a juvenile hurdle at Market Rasen over 2m1f by 7 1/2l last time; effective around 2m, acts on good to soft and good ground, and may handle cut; continues to progress but this demands much more. Productive (2111) in juvenile hurdles for Olly Murphy; limitations not yet exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (16/1 -191%)Hallelujah U |
16/1(-191%) | (4) Hallelujah U 16/1, The yard has won the last two runnings of this race; ran to form when beaten 6l in a handicap over 1m6f at Goodwood last time; returning from a break and could be competitive for yard which does well with similar types on hurdle debut. Brings good credentials to this sphere, based on his Flat form and connections. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (50/1 +0%)Kasper Hauser |
50/1(+0%) | (6) Kasper Hauser 50/1, Still green and made mistakes but improved when beaten 6l in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time; had been in good form prior; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; progressive over hurdles but looks vulnerable up in grade. Still seeking first win of any description and faces a stiff task. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Hallelujah U wasn't beaten far in the Queen's Vase and was third behind Scandinavia in the Bahrain Trophy, and his connections have won this race for the past two seasons with Burdett Road and East India Dock. That pair had previous jumping experience, though, something PRECIOUS MAN has from Auteuil, where he had subsequent winners behind when successful in May. He is just preferred to fellow French recruit Parchment, who impressed at Clairefontaine and has since joined David Pipe. Secret Force looked a natural at Punchestown and must be feared.

Given that his Auteuil form has worked out nicely, PRECIOUS MAN could well defy top weight. Parchment is second pick.

Scored comfortably at Punchestown back over fences; open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(15) (4/1 +50%)Kelce |
4/1(+50%) | (15) Kelce 4/1, Yard won this last year; travelled best and ran to form when out-battled up the hill by race-fit rivals, beaten 1 1/4l off 116 here last time; effective at 3m on good ground and steadily progressive. Good fourth in similar event over C&D on seasonal debut; solid claims. |

13/2(-8%) | (6) Herakles Westwood 13/2, Below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m7f at Punchestown last time where outstayed; may prefer this easier ground and progressing over fences previously; winter form franked; every chance. Unable to land a blow at spring festivals but this is easier; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (8/1 +20%)Sound And Fury |
8/1(+20%) | (9) Sound And Fury 8/1, Returned to form down in trip, jumping much better to land a handicap by a neck off 123 over 3m2f at Carlisle last time; effective from 3m to 3¼m on soft or good ground and generally consistent. Reappearance win took his chase record to 3-6; likely to remain competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/1 +25%)Take All |
9/1(+25%) | (5) Take All 9/1, Keen and had a lot to do when fourth, beaten 18l in a hunter chase over 2m5f here last time; usually held up and still has a bit to find for new yard with stamina concerns up in trip. Looks interesting back up in distance on debut for Ben Pauling. |

Form dipped when last seen but progressive otherwise and remains of interest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+13%) | (4) Ballycamus 14/1, Outpaced but ran to form when well beaten in a handicap chase here last time; effective around 3m and consistent performer. Ran respectably over C&D last time but remains on career-high mark. |

16/1(+0%) | (12) Autonomous Cloud 16/1, Won cosily and ran to form when benefiting from the step back up in trip to land a hunter chase at Cartmel by 3/4l last time; needs this bit further and easier ground ideally so not dismissed. Won hunter chase on last appearance; well treated on best handicap form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (18/1 -50%)Imperial Alex |
18/1(-50%) | (14) Imperial Alex 18/1, Built on recent revival when benefiting from a drop in grade to win a handicap by 1 1/2l off 117 over 3m at Perth last time; progressive sort but revised mark demands more. Won at Perth when last seen five months ago; may remain competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (18/1 -29%)Ideal Des Bordes |
18/1(-29%) | (13) Ideal Des Bordes 18/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a handicap chase here most recently; trainer in form and effective over 3m on good to soft or good ground; forecast rain looks a worry Second-season chaser who is competitively weighted on the pick of his form. |

18/1(+28%) | (16) Cheerful Chap 18/1, Needed the run and failed to stay when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Gowran Park last time; consistent and better suited to 2–2½m. Form has dipped markedly in last two outings; yet to win over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(18) (20/1 +9%)Planned Paradise |
20/1(+9%) | (18) Planned Paradise 20/1, Outpaced and needed the run when finishing down the field in a handicap chase here most recently; usually held up and consistent across various trips, though ideally suited to marathon distances. Soundly beaten in C&D contest last time. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (25/1 +50%)Chambard |
25/1(+50%) | (1) Chambard 25/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m5f here last time; former Kim Muir winner has been struggling for some time Good second in this race two years ago but has badly lost his form. |

33/1(+0%) | (11) Sizable Sam 33/1, Below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m3f at Wincanton last time; returning from a long layoff, likes to make the running, effective at 3m; form has dipped since the break. Last season's form suggests he may not retain peak ability. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (80/1 -60%)Plan Of Attack |
80/1(-60%) | (7) Plan Of Attack 80/1, Travelled well and possibly went for home a bit soon when fourth, beaten 5l in a hunter chase over 2m7f at Killarney last time; visor on for the first time; has good record here but not the force of old. No win under rules since 2019; debut for new yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Even accounting for the fact that AUREA FORTUNA is 15lb higher than for last month's comfortable Punchestown triumph, he is still 5lb below his hurdles rating. He is unlikely to slip under the radar with punters, but should be open to plenty more improvement. Sound And Fury contributed to Ben Pauling's fine recent run when making a successful comeback at Carlisle. Kelce offered plenty of encouragement when fourth under today's rider over C&D last month, and represents last year's winning stable. Imperial Alex has been freshened up following a Perth victory and commands attention too.

Back down in grade, HERAKLES WESTWOOD could well resume his progress. Kelce is second choice, ahead of Sound And Fury.

(5) (6/5 +0%)July Flower |
6/5(+0%) | (5) July Flower 6/5, Went clear with ease on a very promising debut when outclassing rivals to win a beginners' chase at Limerick over 2m3f by 11l last time. Effective at 2 1/2m and suited by plenty of cut; more to come over fences for yard which excels with chasers. Clearcut win on chase debut at Limerick suggests she can take high rank among the novices. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (3/1 +10%)Be Aware |
3/1(+10%) | (1) Be Aware 3/1, Yard won this last year; outclassed rivals when dropping in grade to win a handicap chase at Stratford over 2m3f by 4l last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and suited by decent ground; more to come over fences for this top yard, worth the step up in grade. Had some strong handicap hurdle form and made a smooth transition to chasing at Stratford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/2 +18%)Burdett Road |
9/2(+18%) | (4) Burdett Road 9/2, Ran to form but could not wear down the all-the-way winner when second, beaten a length, in a Listed Hurdle at Kempton last time. Classy hurdler sets standard on form in that sphere; chance if handling the easier ground on chase debut. Classy hurdler, last year's Greatwood winner here; a serious player if taking to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (6/1 +8%)Stencil |
6/1(+8%) | (6) Stencil 6/1, Keen and possibly wanted easier ground when finishing down the field in the 'Fred Winter' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle here on his most recent start; showed useful form in France over hurdles but more needed switched to fences. 4yo; promising second over hurdles here in January; gets weight all round on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (18/1 -13%)Brentford Hope |
18/1(-13%) | (3) Brentford Hope 18/1, Below form when well beaten in the Killashee Hotel Handicap Hurdle (Listed) over 2m1f at Punchestown last time; prefers some give in the ground and has an outside chance if taking to chasing. Useful hurdler; starts chasing career relatively late and others may have more potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (28/1 +15%)Breaking Cover |
28/1(+15%) | (2) Breaking Cover 28/1, Travelled well and ran to form when second, beaten a length, in the Rising Stars Novices' Chase (Grade 2) over 2m4f at Wincanton last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and just about stays 2 1/2m; remains progressive. Five wins since July; ran well in Grade 2 novice last week but faces an even stiffer task. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Dan Skelton treads the same path as he did with last year's winner L'eau Du Sud, with Be Aware arriving after making a successful chasing debut in a Stratford handicap. July Flower also made a seamless transition to fences when scoring at Limerick and is a player in receipt of the mares' allowance, but BURDETT ROAD is a class act. Victorious at this meeting for the past two years, James Owen's five-year-old avoided the Champion Hurdle drama to pick up the silver medal and warmed up for this new test with a solid second behind Rubaud at Kempton.

Be Aware was impressive on his chasing debut but even stronger claims are held by the easy Limerick winner JULY FLOWER.

Progressive novice last season and reappears with his trainer in excellent form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (6/1 +0%)Panic Attack |
6/1(+0%) | (10) Panic Attack 6/1, Well backed and well treated on chase form, improving on recent efforts when beaten a head off 125 over 2m5f at Warwick last time; well treated on previous chase win; returning from a long layoff and looks in the mix. Tackled fences just once last season and was an easy winner; interesting contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (13/2 +35%)Coming Up Easy |
13/2(+35%) | (7) Coming Up Easy 13/2, Jumped well and improved up in trip under a positive ride, landing a Listed Handicap Chase by 5 1/2l off 132 over 2m5f at Killarney last time; enjoys making the running; off a short break and progressing as trip increases, may stay a little further than 2 1/2m so stiff track a plus. Made it 3-3 in handicap chases in impressive fashion at Killarney; firmly in calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (13/2 +59%)Hunter Legend |
13/2(+59%) | (14) Hunter Legend 13/2, Likes the track and is well handicapped, improving down in trip to land a handicap by 7l off 122 at Bangor-on-Dee last time; a strong stayer at this trip and progressive. Yard can get them ready after a break so could get involved. This is hotter than he's used to but he's 5-11 over fences and suited by soft/heavy ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (8/1 -45%)Il Ridoto |
8/1(-45%) | (6) Il Ridoto 8/1, Won this race last year; travelled well but tired late when second, beaten 5l in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Chepstow latest; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground; should come on for the run with this a likely short-term target. Won this 12 months ago and he's just 1lb higher this time around; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (9/1 +36%)Hoe Joly Smoke |
9/1(+36%) | (13) Hoe Joly Smoke 9/1, Travelled well and improved, just flattening out up the hill late when back from a break, beaten 3 1/2l off 129 over 3m1f here last time; effective at 3m and suited by good ground; improving but stable holds stronger claims. Travelled well when third over 3m1f here on comeback; the drop back in trip is worth a go. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (12/1 +52%)Theatre Native |
12/1(+52%) | (9) Theatre Native 12/1, Back to form down in grade when 7l third in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Limerick last time; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on any ground; may have a bit more to come this term with easier ground to suit judged on hurdle form; not forlorn stable second string. Easily won mares' novices' handicap here in April but needs to be better than ever today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (14/1 -17%)Thecompanysergeant |
14/1(-17%) | (4) Thecompanysergeant 14/1, Did not stay when comfortably held in the Kerry National (Grade 3) over 3m at Listowel last time; returns from a short break and is best around 2 1/2m, not the strongest finisher. Second in the Plate here at the Festival; not in the same form since but not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (14/1 +30%)Conyers Hill |
14/1(+30%) | (11) Conyers Hill 14/1, Ran to form but just flattened out late up in trip behind a race-fit rival, beaten 3l off 129 over 2m3f at Limerick last time; usually held up; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on any ground; improving and should come on for that latest run. Kept on for sixth in the 2m Grand Annual here in March; not ruled out each-way. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (16/1 +0%)Es Perfecto |
16/1(+0%) | (12) Es Perfecto 16/1, Travelled well but flattened out late, stamina giving way when beaten 9l in a race dominated from the front in the Jack Richards Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (Grade 2) over 2m5f here last time. Vulnerable to stronger stayers on reappearance 5th of 19 at the Festival here in March; goes well fresh; each-way claims on reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (18/1 -29%)Bad |
18/1(-29%) | (3) Bad 18/1, Returned to his best down in grade at a favoured venue, landing a handicap by 3 1/2l off 138 over 2m2f at Kempton last time; effective from 2 1/4m to 2 1/2m and suited by good ground, though a revised mark will demand more as will a stiffer track. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (22/1 +33%)The Other Mozzie |
22/1(+33%) | (2) The Other Mozzie 22/1, Below form and made mistakes when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Punchestown most recently; better over fences but has a bit to find and has stamina concerns. Two 2m wins earlier this year but hasn't seen it out on previous attempts at 2m4f here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(15) (33/1 +34%)Issar D'airy |
33/1(+34%) | (15) Issar D'airy 33/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a Premier Handicap Chase over 2m1f at Ascot latest; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground but career best needed. On a handy mark but inconsistent and well beaten on reappearance at Ascot a fortnight ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Il Ridoto landed the corresponding event off 1lb lower 12 months ago and he merits respect, while Panic Attack ended last season with a close-up second over hurdles at Warwick. The nine-year-old, who is two from five over fences, is relatively unexposed and is one to keep on the right side of this term. That being said, Henry de Bromhead has made a fine start to the new season and COMING UP EASY could represent some value. An easy winner of a Listed handicap at Killarney in August, completing a hat-trick in the process, there could be a lot more to come. Others to note include Conyers Hill and Vincenzo.

Sam Thomas is in flying form and VINCENZO, who was a highly progressive novice last season, is taken to make a winning reappearance.

Third of 17 over C&D on yard debut, finishing well from off the pace off 1lb lower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (4/1 +11%)Long Draw |
4/1(+11%) | (2) Long Draw 4/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 8l, in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective at 3m, acts on good ground and stays further; remains progressive and stiff track a plus. Unraced on worse than good to soft in h'caps; otherwise set for another prominent finish. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (11/2 +0%)Kikijo |
11/2(+0%) | (6) Kikijo 11/2, Outpaced but ran to form up in trip when beaten 3l off 119 over 3m1f at Aintree last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, acts on soft and good ground; unexposed as a stayer and may have more to offer. Greater stamina test today should be a big help to this lightly raced 5yo; one to note. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (13/2 +35%)Prince Zaltar |
13/2(+35%) | (7) Prince Zaltar 13/2, Yard won this last year. Won by 2 1/2l off 114 over 2m6f at Newton Abbot on his penultimate start. (5) (10/1 +50%)Patriotik |
10/1(+50%) | (5) Patriotik 10/1, Not given a hard time and needed the run when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recently. Effective at 3m and stays further; needs to bounce back though place claims if getting decent pace to aim at. Showing a lot more behind several of these over C&D last time would have been preferable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (11/1 -38%)Gowel Road |
11/1(-38%) | (1) Gowel Road 11/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recently. Effective at 3m and flattered by his Graded form winning form here but not ruled out if bringing best. Dropped right out from final turn over C&D (22-1) three weeks ago; looks vulnerable again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (25/1 -178%)Londonofficecallin |
25/1(-178%) | (4) Londonofficecallin 25/1, Below form when upped in grade, possibly finding the ground a bit testing, finishing down the field in a 12f handicap at Leopardstown last time. Progressive over hurdles as trip increases; should stay further and holds leading claims Last two results (Flat) are a concern but runners from this stable demand great respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (150/1 -200%)Vee Dancer |
150/1(-200%) | (10) Vee Dancer 150/1, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a 1m6f handicap at Southwell latest. Returning from a long layoff and needs to prove ability remains. Off 321 days; caution looks advisable, particularly from 8lb out of the handicap. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

This could be a fine opportunity for SUPREMELY WEST, who shaped with real promise on his seasonal return/first run following wind surgery over C&D last month. Third and over two lengths ahead of the reopposing Long Draw (fourth), it's quite possible that he could take a considerable step forward. Kikijo has few miles on the clock and any improvement on his recent Aintree fourth would bring him firmly into the reckoning.

Supremely West is set to run well. KIKIJO (nap) is far less exposed and a thorough test of stamina should see him in the best light.

16/5(+4%) | (3) Jurancon 16/5, Improved to land a handicap by 2½l off 127 over 2m at Newbury last time. Returning from a long layoff and looks a contender if stamina holds up which is a concern. Never finished outside first two and won handicap debut last time; shortlisted on return. |

(1) (7/2 +0%)Royal Infantry |
7/2(+0%) | (1) Royal Infantry 7/2, Ran to form when 4l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Chepstow on his most recent start. 18/5(+55%) | (9) Kap Boy 18/5, Improved when showing a willing attitude to land a handicap by 7l off 109 over 2m4f at Perth last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m and suited by cut in the ground; progressing but this demands more. 11-8 favourite for 7l win at Perth (2m4f, soft) last month on handicap debut; up 9lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (13/2 +41%)Holloway Queen |
13/2(+41%) | (4) Holloway Queen 13/2, Pulled up in the Sefton Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) over 3m1f at Aintree on her latest start where ground too fast; fair mark on Listed win; not ruled out back on easier ground on return. Grade 2 and Grade 1 races did not work out; early in career and may yet come good again. |

(7) (13/2 +68%)De Temps En Temps |
13/2(+68%) | (7) De Temps En Temps 13/2, All but fell two out yet rallied bravely to win a novice hurdle here over 2m4f by a neck last time. Effective from 2m to 3m and acts on soft and good ground; in good form since moving from Ireland and mark looks lenient; every chance. Helped set pace under F Keighley to win last two starts, in 2m4f novice here on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (17/2 +61%)Royal Rambler |
17/2(+61%) | (5) Royal Rambler 17/2, Improved on recent form when stepped up in trip, just failing to reel in a rival receiving weight when second, beaten 3/4l in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time. Has a bit to find. Had plenty to learn in progressive first campaign and should retain plenty of potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (11/1 +21%)C'est Different |
11/1(+21%) | (13) C'est Different 11/1, Ran to form when landing a handicap by 2l off 92 over 2m3f at Chepstow last time. Returning from a long layoff and though progressive has a bit to find. 2-2 in handicaps (February); up 20lb but it's hard to say just how good he might become. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (20/1 +60%)Littlefoot |
20/1(+60%) | (6) Littlefoot 20/1, Ran to form when beaten 1½l off 120 over 2m at Tipperary last time. Effective from 2m to 2¾m and improving, fairly treated on his best Irish form so not dismissed at a big price. 2m7f maiden winner; best form on last two starts, so needs some respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (22/1 -175%)Hamsiyann |
22/1(-175%) | (8) Hamsiyann 22/1, Won this race last year. May have found the ground a bit testing when finishing down the field in a 12f handicap at Galway most recently; best watched in current form. Comfortable winner of this race (good) last year off 10lb lower; grim results since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (25/1 -79%)Give Him A Chance |
25/1(-79%) | (12) Give Him A Chance 25/1, Scored by a head off 98 over 2m4f at Killarney two starts ago. Ran to form appreciating a stiff test when third, beaten 6l off 105 last time. Off a short break; effective around 2¼m but ideally wants 2½m; progressive on sound surface and can pose a threat. Heading the right way in Ireland but with more to prove if he's back on soft ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (33/1 -65%)Lavender Hill Mob |
33/1(-65%) | (10) Lavender Hill Mob 33/1, Ran to form when 5½l third in the Rose Bowl Stakes (Listed) over 2m at Newmarket on his latest start. Off a short break and useful flat performer has big stamian worries up in trip. 1-6 over hurdles last season and rather went the wrong way; doing well on the Flat though. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Jurancon was a promising novice last season and won impressively on his handicap debut at Newbury in March. David Pipe's gelding merits plenty of respect, but his lack of a recent run just gives the edge to FRENCH SHIP. The latter had plenty in hand when winning a similar event over 2m4f here last month and even an 8lb rise may still underestimate him. Royal Infantry is another with strong claims after his third at Chepstow, while Kap Boy and last year's winner Hamsiyann are also noted.

It is hard to say who brings the most potential but it might be ROYAL RAMBLER. Second choice is Kap Boy.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(+28%) | (4) Edith Pelham 13/2, Made a very promising debut when winning a mares' bumper at Aintree over 2m1f by a short head last time; effective at 2m on good to soft ground, and that form looks strong. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (14/1 -87%)Rock Sensation |
14/1(-87%) | (14) Rock Sensation 14/1, Raced wide but travelled strongly and did it readily when winning an amateurs' bumper at Southwell by 2l last time; effective at 2m and looks to be progressing. Settled better and improved a chunk when winning at Southwell in March; must be considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (33/1 -106%)Midnight Musical |
33/1(-106%) | (12) Midnight Musical 33/1, Very promising debut when second, beaten 3/4l in a mares' bumper over 2m1f at Galway last time; returning from a break. Effective at 2m on good ground; strong debut form and a likely improver. Second in a point and a bumper, the latter at the Galway festival; merits consideration. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (33/1 -32%)Pollyanna's Dream |
33/1(-32%) | (13) Pollyanna's Dream 33/1, Ran to form when third, beaten 2l in a mares' bumper at Ludlow last time; returning from a long layoff. 80/1(-21%) | (15) Shinealight 80/1, Improved when winning a maiden at Inchydoney over 3m by 1l last time; needs to show more at this level. Finished alone in an Irish point, then changed hands for 30,000euros; hard to assess. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

CELESTIAL TUNE has improved with every start and she got off the mark in impressive fashion at Listowel in September. The daughter of Maxios may have more progression left to come and she is arguably the one to beat. Divine Diva won well on her only start between the flags and Dan Skelton's filly should not be underestimated on her Rules debut. Others who make the shortlist are Eremenko, Rock Sensation and Amina.

Irish stables have won the last two runnings and CELESTIAL TUNE can extend the sequence. Southwell winner Eremenko is feared most.
Ths is the racecard key.
