Ben Solo is a previous C&D scorer who was far from disgraced in second over 2m4f at Ffos Las in December and he sets the standard for others to aim at with a rating of 119. However, JUBY BALL makes slightly more appeal. Evan Williams' six-year-old accounted for a subsequent winner by four lengths on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las last month and could take a step forward to make it three wins out of four starts under Rules. Welcheston Warrier can fight it out for a place.

JUBY BALL created a fine impression when going in at the first time of asking over hurdles at Ffos Las and is fancied to make light of a 7 lb penalty. C&D winner Ben Solo appeals as the one to chase home Evan Williams' exciting prospect, with Luna de Castana and Ballymena Boy the pick of the remainder.

Impressive Ffos Las winner JUBY BALL can collect this prize before moving up in grade.

Captain Bellamy finished first past the post before being subsequently disqualified at Newbury in December and he is expected to mount a serious challenge to make amends. However, it may pay to side with SHADE OF WINTER, who improved on his debut third to take the silver medal home at Chepstow last time. The five-year-old might benefit from this step up in trip and could be the one to beat. As Legends Have It is another to note after his third at Doncaster.

The Evan Williams-trained SHADE OF WINTER might prove the answer to this maiden hurdle with the longer trip a help if anything. Captain Bellamy was first past the post at Newbury last time and heads the dangers along with Ben Pauling's As Legends Have It.

The standout contenders are SHADE OF WINTER and Captain Bellamy. The selection is ready for this step up in distance.

Jalisco Star is in brilliant form at present with her latest second at Warwick another good effort and she looks ready for this step up in grade off a 3lb higher rating. However, a chance can be taken on THE LORD MAID, who ran too badly to be true when stone last in a deeper contest at Doncaster last month. Tom Lacey's seven-year-old could bounce back and make her third handicap start a successful one. Love Of Neymore completes the shortlist.

LOVE OF NEYMORE is going the right way and another win could be forthcoming if proving as effective over this longer trip. The thriving Jalisco Star rates an obvious danger, while Phillapa Sue is also more than capable in races like this.

The one who's going places this season is JALISCO STAR (nap). Next on the list are Felicie Du Maquis and Love Of Neymore.

Donnacha showed a likeable attitude when scoring over 2m3f at Exeter on New Years Day and, nudged up 4lb, he must be of renewed interest. That said, LARGY POET is preferred. Paul Nicholls' charge wasn't disgraced when fifth in a deeper race over an extended 3m at Wincanton most recently and, easing in trip with his sights lowered, he looks the one to side with off an unchanged mark. The Famous Five completes the shortlist.

DONNACHA had a subsequent winner back in third when off the mark in this sphere at Exeter last month and this likeable sort can defy a 4 lb rise. Largy Poet looks an interesting debutant over fences and may emerge as the biggest threat.

All six have chances. HURRICANE HIGHWAY ran well on his comeback and he's a winner waiting to happen off his current chase mark.

THE MIDWIFE kept on well from the rear when finishing second over C&D last month and, nudged up 1lb, she looks capable of going one place better in this company. The largely consistent Chatshow Tv arrives on the back of a couple of solid placed efforts and he should go well once more, while Phantom Getaway arrives on the same mark as when third over 2m7f at Newbury last time.

CHATSHOW TV offered plenty to work on sent chasing after 12 weeks off when third at Warwick and makes the most appeal. Phantom Getaway is feared most ahead of The Midwife.

There's no hood this time but CHATSHOW TV might be growing up and there was a lot to like about his chase debut at Warwick.

Exeter scorer Coconut Twist and the runner-up drew 11 lengths clear of the third last month and another bold showing is forecast from the seven-year-old. However, a 6lb rise does demand more from Daisy Hitchins' gelding and it could be worth chancing the unexposed BABATUNDE. The son of Kalanisi caught the eye with how he travelled on his third-placed handicap bow over 3m at Taunton 22 days ago and today's drop in distance could see him opening his account. Wonderweasle is also noted.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and this could go the way of Evan Williams' JUKEBOX JOKER who can race off the same mark as when a very good Ffos Las fourth (form been franked) last time out and remains with few miles on the clock. The consistent Wonderweasle seems sure to be on the premises and is next on the list, with Exeter-scorer Coconut Twist and the leniently-treated Decorated worthy of consideration too. Handicap debutant Sonic Gold completes the shortlist.

Today's drop back in trip can suit BABATUNDE, who travelled strongly for a long way before fading into third over 3m last month.

Winners from the Harry Derham yard have started to flow of late and stable debutant PRIDE OF PARIS could be rejuvenated by a change of scenery. The seven-year-old is only 3lb higher than his sole victory at Fontwell in January last year and he could be ready to put his subsequent woes behind him. The biggest threat may emerge from Pipers Cross, who arrives on the back of a solid third at Exeter, while River Voyage might prove more competitive on this switch to timber.

PRIDE OF PARIS ended his time with Victor Dartnall on a low-key note but remains unexposed in handicaps and a chance is taken he'll be back to his best having joined the Harry Derham yard. Pipers Cross arrives after a pair of sound efforts in defeat and should be involved again, whilst veteran I'm A Starman has slipped to a good mark and would have a chance if getting back to the level of his return.

Pride Of Paris is one to note, while William Philo and I'm A Starman are considered, but PIPERS CROSS looks the most solid.
Ths is the racecard key.
