LTO Selection:hiden content,

The two Ballydoyle colts, both by No Nay Never, are out of Group 1-winning two-year-olds who landed the Cheveley Park Stakes. Ryan Moore rides NEW YORKER so he looks the stable first choice. His dam Fairyland was also a top-level winner at three in the Flying Five Stakes. Confucius is a half-brother to Alfareqa, a Doncaster maiden winner last year. Amo Racing have two runners too and Edward Thatch looks to be the first string. The Blackbeard colt was a 70,000-euro purchase as a yearling and is from a good Coolmore family. His unraced dam is out of Group 3 winner Beauty Bright.

The market will likely revolve around the two Aidan O'Brien-trained newcomers and NEW YORKER gets the vote under Ryan Moore

Andy Slattery has his string in fine form and STAYSOUND SUSIE may be able to give him another winner. The U S Navy Flag filly has already had a couple of outings this year and stayed on well over 5f here last weekend when third to Bodhi Bear. Going back up in trip should suit. Oh Cecelia was a winner at Naas 12 days ago and bids to defy a 7lb rise. There may be scope for a bit more from the Starspangledbanner filly, particularly up in trip. Josh's Joy ended last season on a winning note and is another to consider on her return to action.

Colin Keane is an eyecatching booking aboard LIKEDBYMIKE and the strong-travelling filly will have every chance if close to her best

CHABLIS ROCK stepped forward on her second outing last season and there may be more to come from her this term. The Sioux Nation filly was third behind Marjorie Daw in testing conditions at Gowran in October and this looks like a nice starting point for the Irish Oaks entry. Chasing Paradise chased home the impressive Amelia Earhart on her sole outing last season and that form looks solid as the winner was fourth in Group 3 company previously. Paddy Twomey's charge Mistress Of Tyrone is a newcomer to note. She is a half-sister to Listed winners Earl Of Tyrone and Countess Of Tyrone.

Preference is for CHASING PARADISE who chased home the potentially smart Amelia Earhart on her sole start last season

15:07 Curragh (Class 1) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

FAIYUM can make a winning return. The classy daughter of Frankel ended last season on an impressive note when powering clear in a Group 3 event at Gowran to score by a wide margin. She handles cut in the ground and is up to giving weight away to most of her rivals. The other horse in the field with a penalty is Princess Child. She weakened late on when seventh behind Big Gossey in the Gladness here last Saturday, but may improve a bit from that outing. California Dreamer was a cosy winner at Dundalk on her return and could play a big part. The unexposed Catalina Delcarpio is another to consider in a competitive contest.

It's hard to get away from FAIYUM who was wildly impressive in landing a Group 3 win on her final start of last season

Having acquitted himself with credit in some top handicaps last season, GLENEAGLE BAY is worth chancing on his reappearance. Lightly raced for his age, the six-year-old has a decent record fresh and has run some of his best races at this venue. With soft ground unlikely to be an issue, the Amo Racing-owned gelding can make a winning start to his campaign. Recent C&D winner Perry Mason has to be respected, despite a subsequent 7lb hike. The son of Advertise has been successful twice at this venue since joining the Maurice Ahern stable. Diego El Queso could be open to further improvement and looks another leading contender.

A difficult puzzle to solve but IRON FIST looks progressive. He has some good maiden form and did it well at Clonmel on his last start

Runner-up in the Irish Lincolnshire on his reappearance, EASTWATCH can go one place better. Twice a winner last season, the lightly-raced son of Make Believe showed a definite preference for an ease in the ground. Sure to have come on from that recent outing, the Andy Slattery-trained four-year-old will also appreciate stepping back up in trip. With his stable among the winners in recent days, he has plenty to recommend him. Although it took him until the end of the season to open his account last term, Mocking often gave the impression of being well handicapped. The Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding can progress further this year. Fiver Friday is also worthy of consideration in a competitive heat.

A half-brother to dual Derby winner Auguste Rodin, CANARY ISLAND catches the eye on his debut. The stable struck with a similarly well-bred newcomer at Naas recently and this Irish Derby entrant is sure to know his job at the first time of asking. Third on his introduction at this track in November, Atomic City should be all the better for that experience. Also boasting an Irish Derby entry, the son of Ghaiyyath holds leading claims for Joseph O'Brien. Having shaped with promise on his return at Naas, the Noel Meade-trained Galileo Noir is not without his chance.

Canary Island has the best profile being a half-brother to Auguste Rodin so it must be telling that Moore has chosen PENDULUM

Just denied in a Group 2 at Longchamp when last seen, EMIT has the potential to develop into a leading stayer this term. With an official rating of 111, the Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding has something in hand over these rivals and looks the one to beat provided that he is fit and ready for his first start since October. A progressive type last season, Happy Pharoah may have been over the top when disappointing in the Irish Cesarewitch on his final appearance. Although his best form has come on a sounder surface, the four-year-old has to be respected. A Piece Of Heaven has a bit to prove at this stage, but is more than capable on his best form.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
