LTO Selection:

The market is going to be very revealing ahead of this juvenile maiden. Aidan O'Brien takes the wraps off three horses and the pick of them looks to be CIRCLE OF LIFE. This Dubawi colt is a full-brother to a Group 3-winning French Oaks runner-up and has a clutch of big-race entries, including two at the highest level. His stablemate Ice Dancer is related to an Irish Derby runner-up and should have a bright future. Shadow Run catches the eye as a full-brother to a Group 2 winner and holds an entry at that level in the Mill Reef. Joseph O'Brien is also well represented and his American Pharoah colt Nil Bua Gan Dua has a Group 2 option at Newmarket.

All newcomers, a token vote going to CIRCLE OF LIFE, who holds a National Stakes entry

GLORY TO BE attracted plenty of support in Cork and ran a pleasing race in third. That was her first start since switching to Michael Grassick and the form received a boost when the runner-up came out and landed a Tipperary maiden. Washington Street put together a sequence of three runner-up finishes in a row before underperforming at Cork. He holds Men Of Honour (second and fifth respectively) on their meeting over C&D at the end of June and could bounce back to form. Snowballs has winners in his pedigree and this newcomer could show up well for Willie McCreery, while Desert Power is entitled to come on from last month's first run back following a long absence.

An ordinary maiden and worth giving another chance to WASHINGTON STREET (nap), who may have found the ground too quick at Cork

HEATHER wasn't a factor in Listed class last month, but looks nicely weighted on her return to handicap company. Prior to that Gowran Park assignment, she put together two victories and a trio of runner-up berths. Nicola Burns, who is having an excellent season, takes 7lb off her back. Shaool keeps banking cheques and her consistency gives her a shot at defying top weight. Oriole was on and off the bridle in Tramore before finishing well in second, so first-time blinkers could have a really positive impact on her. It's A Heartbeat is the dark horse as she is lightly raced and won a maiden over C&D back in June. She looks to have plenty of potential.

FORTUNA VERA had excuses at Galway last time but rates a big player on her previous third here in the Apprentice Derby

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Aidan O'Brien has dominated this Group 2 prize over the past decade and CONSTITUTION RIVER can add to the Ballydoyle trainer's great record. The son of Wootton Bassett made a pleasing debut at Newmarket before going one better when justifying long odds-on favouritism over this trip at Galway. A Boy Named Susie looked a useful prospect when quickening clear to score on debut at Killarney, while Geryon defied a market drift when also making a winning start over C&D a fortnight ago. Go Just Do It made a bright start when fourth here last month in a maiden that has been working out well since.

Recent Ballydoyle domination of the this race can continue with CONSTITUTION RIVER, A Boy Named Susie and Geryon the dangers

16:02 Curragh (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

COMPOSING was soundly beaten on debut behind Balantina but has taken a significant step forward with each run since, winning a maiden over C&D before impressively making all in the Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown. The daughter of Wootton Bassett had Skydance over three lengths behind in second, with Brownstown in fourth, and looks a highly progressive filly. Balantina has since been placed in the Albany at Royal Ascot and another Group 3 in Deauville. Suzie Songs followed up a debut win at Cork by landing the Anglesey Stakes here on Irish Derby weekend and is another to consider.

Composing looks ominously progressive but SUZIE SONGS is no less promising after beating the boys in a Group 3 here.

SLURRICANE won on the Flat at Killarney last year and was a useful juvenile hurdler, winning at Punchestown before a creditable fifth in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding now reverts to the level and may have most to fear from Spring Dance, who finished strongly when landing a Dundalk maiden over an extended 1m2f last month. Autocrat has gained all five career wins at Dundalk, but has a much lower rating on turf and was runner-up on his penultimate start over this trip at Roscommon. Dick Donohoe also saddles Daboya, who made the frame at Galway last time.

The eyes are drawn to SPRING DANCE who is by far the least exposed of these after winning an AW maiden on her third run.

SLANEY DRIVE has plenty to recommend him and can get off the mark at the third attempt. The Jim Bolger-trained colt was third in a 1m4f maiden here that has thrown up a couple of subsequent winners before slightly hampered when runner-up to Cadogan over 1m1f at Leopardstown, with Hamadhan over seven lengths behind. Saratoga was third on debut in a strong Killarney maiden last summer, but hasn't been seen since and it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in his favour. Etawa hasn't progressed since a promising start at Leopardstown and is now fitted with blinkers, while Lifting Sails indicated ability on debut at Limerick.

The market should tell a tale as to the fitness levels of Saratoga but as things stand preference is for the talented SLANEY DRIVE.

EMERALD HARMONY got up close home to beat the progressive Cuban Grey at Bellewstown back in April and has dropped to a competitive mark. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly wasn't favoured by the draw here on her penultimate start before finishing well into third behind Ballysax Lil' Mick at Tipperary with Nezeeh, successful here last Saturday, close up in fourth and Hero Of The Hour in sixth. Beano Power won on soft ground at Navan this spring and has held her form well since, while Titan Sun made a promising start for current connections when showing good pace throughout at Cork.

The suggestion is BEANO POWER who is usually thereabouts and the first-time cheekpieces might just make a difference.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
