13:57 Doncaster (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not beaten far into third over 1m3f at Southwell last time out, LIBERTY BIRD should appreciate the small drop in trip and this appeals as an ideal opportunity for her to regain the winning thread with jockey Archie Young taking off a valuable 3lb. Echo Of Glory has run with credit since scoring at Bath in June and he is expected to be thereabouts, along with Pay Attention.

This is a tight call between Echo Of Glory and LIBERTY BIRD but the vote goes to Charlie Johnston's filly who drops back in trip.

14:32 Doncaster (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The Karl Burke stable is in excellent form and newcomer NEW KINGMAN may be primed to strike in an intriguing novice stakes. A well-bred son of New Bay, he is narrowly preferred to 450,000gns purchase Avicenna, who represents leading connections but might just come into his own over further in time. A promising second on debut over 6f at Salisbury, Akho Mezzna is capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The vote goes to AKHO MEZZNA who sets a good standard on his second at Salisbury and is open to progress on this step up in trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A creditable fifth at Kempton when last seen in a race that has worked out well, KING DAVID can reward those who keep the faith after going off favourite on his last three appearances. A taking winner over C&D on his penultimate outing before a close-up third at Southwell, Lumenbourg can follow the selection home, while Twilight Diamond is beginning to get the hang of things in handicap company for an in-form stable.

The vote goes to the progressive LUMENBOURG who is 2-4 at Doncaster and was close third in his bid for a double at Southwell last time

15:40 Doncaster (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COEUR JAUNE is a filly on the upgrade and secured her second victory in good style when returning the ready winner at Leicester last weekend. The daughter of Mehmas could well defy a penalty on that evidence and is worth sticking with. Lightning Galaxy appears on a workable mark based on last month's second at Thirsk and could prove a bigger threat than Keats House, who has been thereabouts in both outings since scoring at Beverley.

This can go to the progressive COEUR JAUNE (nap) who scored over C&D last month before a clearcut win at Leicester last Sunday.

16:15 Doncaster (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Grandlad made most of the running when scoring at Hamilton a fortnight ago, while the potentially well-treated Hiya Maite is another who likes to race prominently. That pair are likely to set a fast pace, which could play into the hands of MUKER. Nigel Tinkler's sprinter produced his usual late surge when successful over C&D last month and another bold bid looks on the cards, despite carrying top weight.

Several have possibilities but the vote goes to the well-handicapped HIYA MAITE, who could make a bold bid on this drop back in grade.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RELEASE THE STORM did just what was required when he made a winning introduction at Leicester and tops the shortlist, despite picking up a 7lb penalty. With the likes of The Northern Lord, Kath's Tipple and Way Of The Will all well held on debut, it seems safe to assume that Roman Fortress - a half-brother to three winners - won't need to be anything special to make his presence known.

It might be worth sticking with the penalised RELEASE THE STORM, who made a bright start when winning at Leicester two weeks ago.

17:25 Doncaster (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Project Geofin bounced back to form at Pontefract last month and given the stiff nature of the course was suggested as a prompt for the improved effort, there is a doubt about him following up on this more galloping track. Last-start course winner ABSOLUTE STAR has no doubts on that level and, open to progression, she shades preference stepping up from a mile off 5lb higher. Pol Roger and Giselles Defence complete the shortlist.

This can go to the lightly raced 4yo ABSOLUTE STAR who won here on her return last month and is open to more progress at this new trip.
