FAULTY returned from a 364-day break to finish 11 lengths ahead of Lightkeeper when just denied at Punchestown last month, which was a highly encouraging display. Noel Meade's gelding sets the standard on the back of that effort and he could be the one to beat. As for the latter, he continues to get closer and it would be no surprise to see him on the premises once again. Of the remainder, Clonshire River appeals most following his runner-up display at Thurles last month.

Noel Meade's FAULTY made a good return to action when second at Punchestown last month and can build on that and deservedly get his head in front. Icare Desbois let favourite backers down at Naas last time but is still feared most ahead of Gordon Elliott's Lightkeeper, who was behind the selection at Punchestown.

Mistakes proved costly for FAULTY at Punchestown last month but given more fluent jumping he could be the one to be on here

ROWDY ROMEO was value for more than the winning margin when scoring over further at Thurles earlier in the month and dropping back in trip should hold no fears off a 6lb higher mark. The seven-year-old's chief threats look to be Cave Court, who switches back to the smaller obstacles, as well as the narrow Gowran Park second Billy Lee Swagger. Completing the shortlist are the likes of Must Go Now, Paddy's Milestone and West Away.

MUST GO NOW improved on handicap debut when third at Thurles 115 days ago and this longer trip should bring further progress out of him, so he's marginally preferred to Redstone, who could have more to offer after just two runs. Billy Lee Swagger also makes appeal in an open race.

They could be blown away by top-weight REDSTONE, whose maiden hurdle win at Fairyhouse looks very good in the context of this race

SILENT FLIGHT was value for further when opening his account over this distance at Punchestown last time out and a 9lb rise may not be enough to prevent the gelding from completing a double. Fellow in-form rival Maimie's Magic could emerge as the biggest danger if gaining an easy lead and the seven-year-old shouldn't be taken lightly. The reappearing Subset also makes some appeal on this switch to hurdles.

SILENT FLIGHT stayed on strongly to justify support at Punchestown last time and, in a thin race, he may be able to defy a rise if the emphasis is sufficiently on stamina. Maimie's Magic should give another good account and The Niffler looks potentially well treated.

The likeliest winner is topweight SILENT FLIGHT (nap), up 9lb for his Punchestown win, but this is less competitive

Golden Nugget improved on her handicap debut effort to finish a much better seventh at Navan in December, and she could progress again to get closer off an unchanged mark. However, the vote goes to STOCKDALE, who was dropped 1lb for her fifth at Navan last month. The eight-year-old filled the runner-up berth on her penultimate start over 2m1f here and she could be the one to beat if running to a similar level. Perfect Arch wasn't disgraced on his most recent outing at Fairyhouse and is capable of being in the mix.

JACENRY caught the eye on his course handicap debut over Christmas and is given a chance to build on that promise back from a short break. Pralognan has a low mark in relation to his Flat ability and would rate a big danger if the betting vibes are strong on his return to action. Stockdale has run solid races the last twice and also makes the shortlist.

He has nothing to recommend on hurdles form but the Flat form of PRALOGNAN puts him head and shoulders above these

This looks like an ideal opportunity for the talented CLASSIC GETAWAY to get back to winning ways, having been nabbed late on in a Grade 3 at Tramore on New Year's Day. Going back up in trip at this track should suit following his Leopardstown no-show and he is preferred to stablemate Adamantly Chosen and last year's winner Longhouse Poet, who looks to be taking this in again as a prep for the Grand National.

CLASSIC GETAWAY's jumping couldn't cope with the hurly burly of a big-field handicap chase at Leopardstown last month but his form in listed/Grade 3 races prior to that makes him a standout here. The selection's stablemate Mr Incredible would rate the main danger if turning up here rather than Uttoxeter on Saturday. Roi Mage has a good record in this race and looks best of the rest.

Question marks surround many including CLASSIC GETAWAY, who needs to bounce back from a disappointing Leopardstown and prove he stays

The suspicion is that NEVERADULLMOMENT was slightly stretched by the step up to 3m when finishing fourth at Navan last month. This step down in trip may see him end up in the winner's enclosure for his in-form stable. Joshua Webb has been running consistently well this season and, after an admirable second over 2m4f at Clonmel most recently, he can give the selection most to think about. The booking of Jack Kennedy aboard St Denis's Well catches the eye and he completes the shortlist.

JOSHUA WEBB hasn't won for some time but he sets the standard based on his latest second so he might be able to go one better at the possible expense of Bleu d'Enfer, who returns to chasing following victory over the smaller obstacles. Neveradullmoment is another one to consider.

This drop back in trip looks ideal for NEVERADULLMOMENT and he can get off the mark over fences for his in-form yard

Trainer David Christie has landed three of the previous four renewals of this contest and he is taken to enhance that record further with GLOBAL ASSEMBLY. The son of Kayf Tara wasn't at his best last time out, when finishing a remote third at Thurles, but he had posted two solid efforts in this sphere prior and may improve not just for the addition of first-time blinkers, but also dropping back in trip. Romeo Magico, who was on target at Limerick over the festive period, is feared most, while Neo King might prove to be best of the remainder.

This looks an excellent opportunity for ROMEO MAGICO to make it 2-3 in hunters. Global Assembly can follow him home.

Bigger targets are probably on the agenda for Limerick winner ROMEO MAGICO and he should have too many guns for Global Assembly

This represents the easiest task so far for AMANHA, who has had to contend with some smart sorts from the Willie Mullins stable on all three career outings. She has shaped well on each occasion, though, and the experience gained may be enough for her to see off costly newcomer Half Past Tipsy, who was a convincing winner of a point-to-point in November and begins life under Rules for leading connections. The well-bred Disco Dancer and Florance are capable of being in the mix as well.

HALF PAST TIPSY has been picked up by shrewd connections for a hefty sum after winning a point and this doesn't look like much of a race, so she's a confident choice to make a successful Rules debut. Shannon Bank has the best bumper form on show, so she's a danger along with Amanha.

A mares' bumper which may not take too much winning and perhaps points' winner HALF PAST TIPSY can make a winning debut under rules
