COURT COMPLIANCE was purchased for 95,000 pounds in April and was only narrowly denied when second on his Rules debut at Punchestown. Having gone close in a promising debut under rules at Punchestown last month, COURT COMPLIANCE can go one better in a weaker race

Champagne Jury performed too badly to be true at the Punchestown Festival and a reproduction of his previous second to Honesty Policy at Leopardstown is sure to see him firmly involved. However, LOS BLANCO arrives on the back of a respectable third in handicap company at Gowran and he's slightly more compelling. Green Angel may fare best of the remainder.

If CHAMPAGNE JURY (nap) repeats the level of form he showed when runner-up behind Honesty Policy in March, he should be hard to beat

Best form at Downpatrick, soundly beaten at Thurles last twice, others preferred. |

A field of this size grants opportunities for each-way options to be considered. Back To Cali, Centaq and Boston Bobby all fit the bill as shortlist material based on their peak form, while Southey could go well if granted a run. However, the lightly-weighted Esticky End and THE TOOTHPICKER might shine brightest. The latter has dropped to a competitive rating and, a Wexford fall aside, has shown steady improvement in all three starts since returning from a lengthy absence. This may be within reach with another step forward.

A chance is taken on the bottom weight ESTICKY END who shaped like this sort of trip would suit when running on for fifth at Thurles

11th (1) (150/1 -20%)Bajan Excell |
150/1(-20%) | (1) Bajan Excell 150/1, Pulled up in a novice at Turtulla last time; formerly useful handicap hurdler has been largely struggling in points; all to prove Failed to complete in four points since return from huge layoff, hard to fancy. |

Point and maiden hurdle winner, out of depth when last seen in April, market best guide. |

Gavin Cromwell has trained the last two winners and GLENASHLING in one to take seriously. He finished a close second at Punchestown on his penultimate start and looks to have strong claims in this company with a repeat. Supreme Jet posted a better effort when runner-up at Cork on only his second start over the larger obstacles. He looks a bigger threat than Swing Davis, who could prove best of her yard's three runners.

1st (1) (3/1 -9%)I A Connect |
3/1(-9%) | (1) I A Connect 3/1, Ran to form when finishing 8l third in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse, well placed in a race dominated from the front; weak finisher but thrown in on recent hurdle form; can snap long losing run. Solid runs over timber last twice, rated 12lb lower over fences, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (12/1 +0%)Another Challenge |
12/1(+0%) | (9) Another Challenge 12/1, Hampered when beaten and well held in a handicap chase at Naas last time; trainer in form; effective at around 2½m and could have more to offer in this sphere; outside chance. Disappointing since Navan fourth over hurdles in September, others make more appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (10/3 +67%)Tell Nobody Nothin |
10/3(+67%) | (2) Tell Nobody Nothin 10/3, Made mistakes and ran a bit below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Thurles last time; effective from 2m to 3m and fairly treated on hurdle form but becoming frustrating. 0-7 over fences but ran well at Navan on penultimate, big chance on that run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (15) (11/1 +67%)Feast |
11/1(+67%) | (15) Feast 11/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse last time; off a short break; effective at around 2m6f but currently in poor form over both hurdles and fences. Bumper winner, beaten 15.5l on chase debut on penultimate, watch on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (15/2 +77%)Royal Time |
15/2(+77%) | (5) Royal Time 15/2, Had every chance but ran below form when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Thurles last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; suited by a stiff 2m on good ground; must bounce back. Beaten 26l on handicap chase debut, new cheekpieces and longer trip need to spark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (16) (33/1 +34%)Mastermind |
33/1(+34%) | (16) Mastermind 33/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse last time; effective around 2½m on any ground; in moderate form and on a long losing run. 0-9 over fences, may have needed latest but needs to improve on previous chase efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (14) (9/1 -38%)Baltinglass Hill |
9/1(-38%) | (14) Baltinglass Hill 9/1, Ran to form when 9¼l third in a handicap chase at Thurles last time; suited by 2m on good ground; on a fair mark and in form so holds obvious claims. 0-11 over fences but shaped well the last twice, worth another go at this trip, player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (14/1 +36%)Le Grand Vert |
14/1(+36%) | (3) Le Grand Vert 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown last time; effective around 3m and prefers some ease in the ground; well treated on old form. Mixed bag since 3m Ayr win in March, failed to complete last twice, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (25/1 +38%)Bid Up |
25/1(+38%) | (10) Bid Up 25/1, Keen and made mistakes when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Thurles last time; form tailed off in that sphere and has a bit to find switched to fences. Dual-purpose maiden, modest hurdles form for two former yards, watch on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (8) (15/2 +53%)Walk In The Sea |
15/2(+53%) | (8) Walk In The Sea 15/2, Made mistakes and disappointed on chase debut when fourth, beaten 32l, in a beginners' chase at Tramore; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at around 2½m; needs more now switched to fences. Modest hurdles form, well beaten in beginners chase latest, watch in new headgear combo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (12) (9/1 -125%)Rose Of Kalanisi |
9/1(-125%) | (12) Rose Of Kalanisi 9/1, Never travelled and failed to handle the track when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick last time; regressive. Off since poor hurdles run in July, chase form unconvincing, probably best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (14/1 +0%)Eagle Terrace |
14/1(+0%) | (6) Eagle Terrace 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown last time; effective from 2½m to 3m and suited by give; took this in 2023 and his mark is slipping but he's in moderate form. Won this in 2023 off 6lb higher, pulled up over timber latest, return to this track a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (20/1 0%)Jimli's Cave |
20/1(0%) | (7) Jimli's Cave 20/1, Raced lazily and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Downpatrick last time; off a short break; effective at 2m5f on decent ground but inconsistent. Disappointing since close third at Downpatrick in July, this trip looks on the sharp side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (25/1 -25%)Younowhatimean |
25/1(-25%) | (13) Younowhatimean 25/1, Didn't handle the ground and finished down the field in a handicap hurdle at Limerick last time; should come on for that but unreliable 0-22 under Rules, 0-4 in chases, out of form over timber recently, hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (40/1 +0%)Malton Groove |
40/1(+0%) | (4) Malton Groove 40/1, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a handicap chase at Haydock last time; effective from 2½m to 3m; the handicapper has relented but he's unreliable of late. Long standing maiden, beat just one rival home on latest at Haydock, hard to fancy. |

It looks best to side with DUCE BIGALOW, who put a lacklustre chasing effort behind him to fill the runner-up spot at Naas. Seamus Neville's charge has much less to prove than many on that evidence and, should stepping up in trip be beneficial, he could go one place better. Baltinglass Hill has been running well in defeat of late and is expected to be thereabouts again, while others to note include I A Connect and Walk In The Sea.

Narrow preference is for I A CONNECT who may be able to exploit his 12lb lower chase mark after two solid recent runs over hurdles

16/5(-42%) | (11) Its On The Line 16/5, Needed the run when fourth, beaten 2 1/4l in a conditions race at Ballindenisk last time; trainer in form; took this in 2023 and runner up last year; the class angle having won at multiple spring festivals; can race lazily but claims obvious. The leading Irish hunter chaser of recent seasons, should be better for a prep run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (16) (15/2 -7%)Willitgoahead |
15/2(-7%) | (16) Willitgoahead 15/2, Pulled up in a hunter chase at Punchestown latest; effective at 3m and acts on good to soft and good ground; showed useful form last term and a threat if fit. Fine effort when only 3 1/2l behind Its On The Line at Cheltenham, flopped at Punchestown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (3/1 +14%)Con's Roc |
3/1(+14%) | (7) Con's Roc 3/1, Travelled strongly, went clear with ease and outclassed rivals when winning a hunter chase at Fairyhouse by 17l last time; effective at 3m and handles cut; unbeaten under rules and merits this step up in grade. 9/2(+31%) | (15) The Goffer 9/2, Returned to form back in this discipline when second, beaten 4l in a Conditions Chase at Punchestown last time; effective at 2 1/2-3 1/2m; generally consistent though tricky to win with. Point winner before a good cross-country run at Punchestown, boasts high-class track form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (14/1 +22%)Big Interest |
14/1(+22%) | (2) Big Interest 14/1, Won this last year but pulled up in a hunter chase at Fairyhouse latest; effective at 3m and acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent but local yard does do well here. Beat Its On The Line in this race last year, uneven form since then, others more reliable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (14) (80/1 -100%)Squire Ohara |
80/1(-100%) | (14) Squire Ohara 80/1, Outpaced and below form but stayed on when fourth, beaten 13l in a hunter chase at Downpatrick last time; cheekpieces first time; effective at 2 1/2-3m but looks vulnerable in this grade. Runner-up to Fountain House in the Bishopscourt Cup at Punchestown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (12/1 +45%)Fountain House |
12/1(+45%) | (8) Fountain House 12/1, Ran to form when third, 17l behind in a hunter chase at Fairyhouse back from a break on testing ground; cheekpieces first time; effective at 2 1/2-3m and handles heavy and good; in form, return to better ground could suit. Prolific in point-to-points (6-11), a distant third behind Con's Roc at Fairyhouse. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (50/1 -213%)Hollow Games |
50/1(-213%) | (10) Hollow Games 50/1, Needed the run when 16l third in a novice event at Borris House last time; in good form under rules in spring; acts with cut; player if fit. Achieved remote placings in top races in this category last term, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (28/1 +0%)Asphalt Cowboy |
28/1(+0%) | (1) Asphalt Cowboy 28/1, Needed the run when 14l third in a conditions race at Tinahely last time; progressive at northern tracks in spring but has plenty to find at this level. Saw out the 3m5f trip well to win at Downpatrick in May, others have superior credentials. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (4) (18/1 -29%)Cadoudal Saint |
18/1(-29%) | (4) Cadoudal Saint 18/1, Ran to form when winning a conditions race at Kirkistown by 7l last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time after a short break; prolific in points but faces a tough task on chase debut. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (6) (40/1 -100%)City Chief |
40/1(-100%) | (6) City Chief 40/1, Returned to form when winning a novice event at Toomebridge by 2 1/2l last time; formerly useful staying chaser but not the force of old; acts on soft and good; risky. A long way behind Con's Roc when they clashed at Cragmore in January, plenty to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (50/1 -127%)Ontheropes |
50/1(-127%) | (13) Ontheropes 50/1, Outpaced and may have found the ground a bit quick when 12l third in a hunter chase at Listowel last time; effective at 3m and best with cut; inconsistent. Held by several of the leaders in this category on Cheltenham and Punchestown running. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (66/1 -65%)Galon De Vauzelle |
66/1(-65%) | (9) Galon De Vauzelle 66/1, Ran to form when winning a conditions race at Tinahely by 13l last time; inconsistent under rules; returns from a short break but difficult to fancy in this grade. Won a Tinahely event last month, should uphold form with third-placed Asphalt Cowboy. |

Con's Roc ran out an easy winner at Fairyhouse last month and remains open to plenty of improvement being so lightly raced for his age. However, he comes up against the toughest opposition in his career to date, with 2023 hero ITS ON THE LINE likely to come out on top. Having finished runner-up for the second consecutive year at Cheltenham, he made it back-to-back victories at Punchestown and arrives here following a run in the pointing sphere. The Goffer and Willitgoahead appear to be a formidable team for Gordon Elliott and they enter calculations too.

It could pay to overlook the established hunters in favour of THE GOFFER who reverts from the cross-country category

25/1(-79%) | (10) Long Goodbye 25/1, Very promising debut when second beaten 4 1/4l in a Thurles bumper; after a short break, should build on that effort over 2m despite some knocks to the form. 2nd in 5-runner bumper at Thurles in October; not strong form but should improve. |

Master Haku finished a good way clear of the third when just touched off at Cork and commands respect on his first outing in this sphere. Long Goodbye produced an encouraging effort when second at Thurles in October and is noted, but the vote goes to BOYCETOWN. Gavin Cromwell's gelding shaped with lots of promise when filling the runner-up spot at Punchestown and with any amount of improvement to come, he looks the way to go.

It might be worth chancing MOON SKY whose Listowel form is working out nicely and he could take a big step forward from that outing
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
