1st (1) (2/5 +45%)Fox In Flight |
2/5(+45%) | (1) Fox In Flight 2/5, Possibly went on a fraction too soon but produced a fine run when a neck third in an auction race over 7f here last time. Trainer in form; wide draw. Effective at 6/7f and acts on the all-weather; steadily improving with more likely to come. Has gone close here on his last two starts, rated 78, drops in trip, the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/1 -11%)Kiss Don't Tell |
5/1(-11%) | (7) Kiss Don't Tell 5/1, Made too much use of and lost 2-3l in the final 1/2f when beaten 4l in a maiden over 6f at Naas last time. Returning from a break; may need a sound surface to see out 6f but can rate more highly. Much-improved effort at Naas latest, drop back to 5f could suit, not discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (22/1 -175%)Sayonara |
22/1(-175%) | (3) Sayonara 22/1, 23 May; 34,000 euros Kodiac colt; full-brother to Glamis Road, very smart at 7f; dam useful at 5f at 2yo; wide draw. E34,000 Kodiac Colt, brother to 7f 2yo Listed winner, market best guide on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (80/1 -21%)Cause I Like You |
80/1(-21%) | (4) Cause I Like You 80/1, Too far off the pace after a poor start and given an easy time when beaten 8l in a maiden over 6f here last time. Bred to be effective from 6f to 8f and open to marked improvement. Beaten similar distances in two 6f maidens here last month, probably one for h'caps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (33/1 -50%)Gosford Queen |
33/1(-50%) | (6) Gosford Queen 33/1, Tired badly on yielding ground and was well beaten in a maiden over 6f at Naas on debut. Off a short break; sprint-bred. A big filly who could improve considerably for the first run and the all-weather surface. Slowly away and well beaten on debut at Naas, best watched unless market speaks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (4/1 +43%)Pass Me If You Can |
4/1(+43%) | (2) Pass Me If You Can 4/1, 7 Mar; 16,000 euros Supremacy gelding; half-brother to El Viso, useful at 14f; looks an unlikely winner on debut. E16,000 Supremacy gelding, dam 1m1f winner, respected source, check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (28/1 -56%)Luna Beaux |
28/1(-56%) | (8) Luna Beaux 28/1, Cheekpieces tried and seemed to maintain her level when fourth, beaten 2 1/2l in a nursery over 6f here last time. Effective at 6/7f and acts on the all-weather; appears to have found her level, and 5f may not bring improvement. 0-7 overall, beaten off 51 in h'cap over 6f here latest, up against it back in a maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (100/1 -25%)Dervo Annie |
100/1(-25%) | (5) Dervo Annie 100/1, Didn't stay after being made too much use of and finished down the field in an auction race over 7f here last time. Shows speed in her pedigree and the drop back in trip may help. Long odds and soundly beaten in a pair of 6f-7f maidens, 5f a plus but others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (25/1 -150%)Mina Bonita |
25/1(-150%) | (9) Mina Bonita 25/1, Made plenty of use of and tired near the line when fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a maiden here last time. Suited by 5f and acts on the all-weather; may improve a little if setting better fractions, though not much of her physically. Promise in both starts for former yard inc' over C&D, off since April, check market. |

FOX IN FLIGHT could make the breakthrough on this drop to the minimum trip. He came home runner-up over 6f at this track in October and showed plenty of pace off the front over 7f last month before being caught close home. Sayonara is an interesting newcomer for Andy Slattery as a full-brother to a Listed winner, so the market should be informative. Luna Beaux has plenty of experience and there was merit in her fourth place over 6f in November.

While the drop to 5f is a query, his dam won at the trip and this looks an excellent opportunity for FOX IN FLIGHT

50/1(+0%) | (12) Roman Harry 50/1, No obvious excuse when down the field in a handicap here last time. Effective from 7f to 8f. In poor form since returning from hurdling. Only win from 36 races came at Laytown last year; 16l behind in a C&D h'cap latest. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (50/1 -52%)Tortola |
50/1(-52%) | (5) Tortola 50/1, Did too much too soon and may not have stayed when well beaten in a 10f Clonmel handicap last time. Returns from a short break. Effective from 6f to 7f and sprint bred, so stamina is a concern. Needs to prove she has trained on. Weaken maiden form and hasn't improved in two h'cap runs; hard to make a case for her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (6/4 +63%)Venetian |
6/4(+63%) | (3) Venetian 6/4, Improved again when second, beaten 1/2l, in a handicap here last time. Effective from 8f to 10f and progressing on the all-weather. Generously treated on these terms. C&D winner in Oct' and backed that up off new mark a fortnight later; one for shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (20/1 +20%)Rock Basher |
20/1(+20%) | (10) Rock Basher 20/1, The yard has won three of the last five renewals of this race. Ran to form when beaten 7 1/2l in an 11f handicap here last time. Effective from 8f to 10f and acts on the all-weather. Appears to be running back into form but this test may be sharp enough. Raised 10lb for neck defeat in a claimer, but could only take fifth off new mark last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (40/1 -60%)Battle Borne |
40/1(-60%) | (7) Battle Borne 40/1, May not have stayed when well beaten in an 11f handicap here last time. Effective from 7f to 9f and acts on good ground. The drop in trip may help but his form is heading the wrong way. Ran okay on h'cap debut here but never sighted in two runs since; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (5/1 +17%)Comfort Line |
5/1(+17%) | (8) Comfort Line 5/1, Won this race last year. Below form when beaten 5 1/4l in an 8f handicap here last time. Effective at 7f or 8f and acts on the all-weather. Was back in form before that and is on a competitive mark, though not the most reliable. Six-time course winner finished second in Oct' over 1m but was below that level latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (7/4 -59%)Independent Expert |
7/4(-59%) | (2) Independent Expert 7/4, Ran to form when a one-length third in a claimer over 8f here last time. Blinkers on for the first time. Effective at 1m and acts on any surface. Back in form and fairly treated on these terms. C&D claimer winner in Oct' and third over 1m latest; should play a big role back at 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (25/1 -456%)Earthwatch |
25/1(-456%) | (1) Earthwatch 25/1, The yard has won three of the last five renewals of this race. Up in trip and may not have stayed when well beaten in a 10f Nottingham handicap last time. Effective at 1m and acts on good or good to firm ground but needs to bounce back on stable debut. Sandown winner over 1m but disappointing in 2 starts since; needs to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (150/1 -88%)Chica Power |
150/1(-88%) | (11) Chica Power 150/1, Had every chance but needed the run when down the field in a handicap here last time. Effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather. Looks regressive. Weak form since 2023 C&D claimer win; a lot on her plate here off these weights. |

INDEPENDENT EXPERT looks the solid option for in-form Stephen Thorne (last three runners at Dundalk have won). She bagged an optional claimer over C&D in October and was only beaten a length into third in a claimer over a mile the following month. Paddy Harnett's 5lb claim has Venetian weighted to challenge Independent Expert. He is more than capable of a big run having landed a handicap over C&D in October. Denis Hogan runs four horses and Earthwatch is making his Irish and all-weather-track debut having won a handicap in Sandown during his career with William Haggas.

At the weights INDEPENDENT EXPERT is the pick of them following a win in a similar race over C&D in October and a good third latest

3/1(-118%) | (5) All The Girls 3/1, Travelled best and won going away when landing a maiden here by 4 1/2l last time. Off a short break and acts on the all-weather. Effective at 6f, though speed in her pedigree means she may not stay much further. Light-framed filly with more to come. Left debut effort behind when bolting up over C&D, 4lb penalty may not stop her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (1/1 +47%)Alissam |
1/1(+47%) | (3) Alissam 1/1, Produced a game effort coming from well back to win by a nose in an auction race here on debut. Gave the impression he would stay further, handles sound surfaces, knew his job first time and already looks a likeable and useful colt. Narrow 25-1 C&D winner on debut last month, 4lb penalty now but should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/1 +64%)Oust |

A big colt with a fast-ground action and 10f pedigree. 8l behind Alissam here on debut last month, work to do to turn that form around. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (100/1 -25%)Sunnysideofdstreet |
100/1(-25%) | (7) Sunnysideofdstreet 100/1, Tongue-tied on debut and outpaced throughout when well beaten in an auction race here on her only start. Has a middle-distance and staying pedigree, with an action suited to sound surfaces, and likely to improve over further. No show on debut over C&D, tongue tie is retained, others make more appeal. |

Greek Mythology starts out for Joseph O'Brien and is a half-brother to a Group 3 winner. However, Tom McCourt's filly ALL THE GIRLS was a revelation when keeping on strongly to win a fillies' maiden over C&D in October and there should be plenty more to come from her. Alissam delivered on debut over this trip last month and gave the impression he would improve from the run.

Tom McCourt's ALL THE GIRLS (nap) made a big impression when winning over C&D in October and will be hard to beat with a repeat of that

Effective over 6-7f and better on the all-weather but currently out of form. Three-time course winner but poor form shown in three starts for current yard. |

NIKKI SWANGO lost little in defeat when second over 6f here last Friday. She is in a rich vein of form for Ado McGuinness with two victories and two runner-up berths on the Polytrack, and both her victories came over this trip. Notforalongtime bounced back to form with a short-head success over 1m here last month. Mveve has had a break since Limerick in June, and her best result came when pipped by a short head over C&D last year.

14th (3) (12/1 -243%)Rift Valley |
12/1(-243%) | (3) Rift Valley 12/1, Returned to form back up in trip when beaten a head off 57 here last time. Effective at 5/6f and acts on the all-weather; still a maiden but generally consistent and on a competitive mark. Beaten just a head over C&D last time when looking unbalanced in straight; big player. |

HERO OF THE HOUR is on a dangerous mark and signalled that an eighth career success may not be far away when beaten just over a length into fifth over C&D last month. Eric Lock has been placed in his last four outings over 7f and drops back a furlong in a bid to regain the winning thread. Gordon Bennett is lightly raced on Polytrack and has switched to Peter Fahey after a third place in a claimer over C&D in November.

A lot with chances, but the vote goes to dual C&D winner I'M SPARTACUS who is now 5lb below his last winning mark and drops back to 6f

4/1(+38%) | (7) John La Bear 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off 59 here last time. Effective at 6–7f and acts on this surface. In form and respected. Improved form since switch to AW and kept on for fourth last time; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/4 +45%)Mo Anam Chara |
11/4(+45%) | (1) Mo Anam Chara 11/4, Improved on her final qualifying run when fourth, beaten 4l in an auction race over 7f here last time. Trainer in form and effective at 7–8f. Open to further progress now handicapping. Best of 3 m'den runs came here last time; check market for handicap debut. |

3rd (10) (15/2 +25%)Push Harder |
15/2(+25%) | (10) Push Harder 15/2, Ran to form in a hood when beaten 4l off 49 here last time. Effective from 6–8f and acts on this surface. Could build on that handicap debut effort. Creditable handicap debut over C&D last time from wide draw; kinder draw now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (8/1 +20%)Sapphire Dream |
8/1(+20%) | (11) Sapphire Dream 8/1, Ran to current form when beaten 5l in a nursery over 7f here last time. Visor applied for the first time. Effective at 6–7f but modest form so far and breeding suggests this longer trip may not suit. Yet to make an impact in h'caps; midfield here two weeks ago; visor on but 2lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (5/4 0%)Badger's Cove |
5/4(0%) | (2) Badger's Cove 5/4, Quickened clear comfortably to win a handicap by 2 1/2l off 61 here last time. Effective over 7–8f and acts on this surface. May still have more to offer with a lenient mark. Kept on well to easily score over C&D last time; 5lb rise seems reasonable; leading player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 -56%)Wingit |
25/1(-56%) | (4) Wingit 25/1, Never threatened when upped in trip and finished down the field in a nursery here most recently. Effective at 7f and acts on this surface, but stamina remains a concern. Never counted in opening m'dens and similar story in 2 h'caps here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (50/1 -100%)Queen Leila |
50/1(-100%) | (8) Queen Leila 50/1, Far too free when upped in trip on handicap debut and flattened out to finish 9l behind in a nursery here last time. Effective at 6f and acts on this surface, though stamina is unproven. Well beaten on stable/h'cap debut over C&D last time; more needed off 4lb lower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (14/1 +13%)Dawson Street |
14/1(+13%) | (3) Dawson Street 14/1, Ran to form on handicap debut when beaten 4l in a nursery here last time. Bred to suit around 7–8f and in good form, though needs to find more to get off the mark. Promise in 4l sixth behind Badger's Cove last time; that gives something to build on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (25/1 -39%)Keskon |
25/1(-39%) | (9) Keskon 25/1, Again ran to a moderate level when down the field in a maiden here last time. Has stamina in the pedigree and looks the type to do better in low-grade handicaps. Has beaten few rivals in three m'dens (two over C&D); hard to see him making breakthrough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (14/1 +0%)Bullet Bourbon |
14/1(+0%) | (6) Bullet Bourbon 14/1, Did plenty early after missing the break when down the field in a nursery over 7f at Galway last time. Effective at 7f but inconsistent and unproven on this surface. Best effort came at Gowran on penultimate but no show last time; makes AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (22/1 +12%)Darwin's Angel |
22/1(+12%) | (5) Darwin's Angel 22/1, Returned to form when beaten 3l off 64 over 6f here last time after a short break. Effective over 7f on this surface but remains inconsistent. Blinkers didn't improve her on AW debut last time; swich of stable now but more needed. |

BADGER'S COVE travelled well in first-time blinkers on his way to landing a C&D nursery in November and can defy a 5lb rise with the blinkers retained. Mo Anam Chara kept on for fourth in a maiden last month and appeals as the type to be competitive on nursery debut. John La Bear has been fourth on his last couple of nursery outings, including behind Badger's Cove, and is pitching for another cheque.

A comfortable winner over C&D last time, BADGER'S COVE runs off 5lb higher now, which seems fair and he should take a lot of beating

9/1(+55%) | (2) Walhaan 9/1, Ran to form when appreciating the step back up in trip, beaten 4l off 83 here last time. Needs 10f these days, acts on the all-weather; an inconsistent veteran. Three-time C&D winner, 9lb below last win in Oct' 2024 but recent form not encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (10/3 +44%)Nakasero |
10/3(+44%) | (3) Nakasero 10/3, Below form when up in grade, finishing down the field in a 7f handicap at Leopardstown last time. Returns from a short break; generally consistent around 1m and effective on the all-weather, though his mark looks stiff. Up 9lb for Leopardstown win, last of 16 off revised rating latest, may be on tough mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (7/1 +42%)Sinbad My Dad |
7/1(+42%) | (11) Sinbad My Dad 7/1, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/2l off 71 here last time. Effective from 8f to 11f and acts on the all-weather; has a chance based on that latest C&D effort. Knocking on the door here the last twice, could go very close if settling better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (28/1 -300%)Genoah |
28/1(-300%) | (1) Genoah 28/1, Up in trip, probably will not stay having finished down the field in a 12f handicap at Leopardstown most recently. Effective at 10f and suited by the all-weather; on a fair mark based on winter form but has a bit to prove after a break. Dual C&D winner, 3lb above last success, off the track since May, market best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (12/1 -20%)Charming Whisper |
12/1(-20%) | (5) Charming Whisper 12/1, Ran to form when just flattening out late back up in trip, finishing fourth and beaten 5l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Suited by 10f and likes a sound surface; his mark looks stiff enough for the new yard. Five-time turf winner, not a bad AW run at Southwell latest, could go well on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (33/1 -65%)Day Trader |
33/1(-65%) | (6) Day Trader 33/1, Yard won this race last year. May have found the ground too testing when down the field in a 12f handicap at Gowran Park last time. Effective at 10f and acts on the all-weather; a hurdles winner for this yard but yet to match his French Flat form. 0-7 on AW, won over hurdles in June, poor twice since, watch unless market speaks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/4 +54%)Unterberg |
11/4(+54%) | (7) Unterberg 11/4, Ran to form when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 67 over 12f here last time. Effective from 9f to 12f and acts on the all-weather; remains on a competitive mark. 3-6 at this track, won over 1m4f here latest, raised 6lb but should go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (4/1 0%)Johnny's Oasis |
4/1(0%) | (12) Johnny's Oasis 4/1, Quickened clear cosily to land a handicap by 4l off 52 over 8f here last time. Effective at 8–10f and acts on the all-weather; improving at this venue and could follow up. In fine form, hiked up 11lb for easy win here latest, up in grade, yet to win at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (6/1 +14%)Eastern Peace |
6/1(+14%) | (9) Eastern Peace 6/1, Improved when stepped up in trip to win a maiden here by 3/4l last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on the all-weather; in good form for her new yard and her opening mark looks lenient. C&D maiden win latest, runner up has boosted form, not taken lightly on h'cap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (16/1 -88%)Pepper Noir |
16/1(-88%) | (4) Pepper Noir 16/1, Below form when up in grade and down the field in a 9f handicap at Gowran Park most recently. In good form prior to that; effective over 10–12f and suited by the all-weather, though has fitness to prove. Three-time course winner at 1m-1m4f, off since June, could make a bold bid if fit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (50/1 -52%)Lady Chartwell |
50/1(-52%) | (10) Lady Chartwell 50/1, Never threatened when down the field in an 8f handicap here most recently. Wears a hood for the first time; suited by 10f and acts on the all-weather; form has been in and out. 1m2f AW winner in Britain, underwhelming stable debut latest, hood now goes on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (50/1 -733%)Giselles Defence |
50/1(-733%) | (8) Giselles Defence 50/1, Had no obvious excuse when well beaten in a 10f handicap at Doncaster last time. Returns from a break; effective at 10f and acts on the all-weather; was in form until that latest run but his mark looks stiff. Four-time turf winner, has gone well here before, can't discount on debut for new yard. |

EASTERN PEACE had a subsequent winner in second when taking a maiden over C&D last month, and could be the type to progress now she goes handicapping. Top-weight Genoah has been given a break since May and has a good record on the Polytrack. Unterberg arrives in winning form, but is up in class and has to defy a career-high mark.

SINBAD MY DAD has been thereabouts over C&D the last twice and if he settles better, he may be able to get his head in front
Ths is the racecard key.
