GOD OF POWER showed ability when a well-backed fourth in a useful course-and-distance maiden last month and can build on that promise. By a leading sire and a half-brother to two black-type winners, the selection wasn't beaten far behind more experienced rivals that day. The Frankel colt Abbotsford has an Irish Derby entry and is from a fine family, so could be smart, while No Temperance is out of a smart mare who has already produced an American Grade 3 winner.

One length behind over C&D last time, GOD OF POWER has the best form and can use his experience against some promising debutants

Carolina Jetstream has a good course record and ran well in the Cooley Stakes last month. Her rating has risen to 91, but she debuts in handicaps and should get involved. All-weather specialist Final Voyage is another with claims.

Quite competitive, with the improving 3yo DALER taken to continue his progress upped in grade

BEAT THE DEVIL showed promise in a recent course-and-distance handicap and is open to more progression being a three-year-old. With that in mind, he tops the shortlist. Una Matata was behind the selection in that recent race and while not ahead of the handicapper, can be depended on to again run well. First-time visored Thompson Gunner is a 14-race maiden but has been running well of late.

Following good efforts over further in his last two starts here, THOMPSON GUNNER may make the breakthrough under a claimer

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (12/1 -118%)Hell Left Loose |
12/1(-118%) | (9) Hell Left Loose 12/1, Well placed and ran to form when landing a handicap by a short head off 46 here last time; effective at 6-8f and acts on all-weather; can be competitive despite a 4lb rise. WELLWHATSHAPPENIN has prospered since returning to the Polytrack this autumn. The son of Smooth Daddy won over 7f and subsequently finished well when beating all bar the highly-progressive Nikki Swango. He remains on a competitive mark and should be suited by this step back up to a mile. Alex Belardo has been placed a number of times this year including when narrowly beaten over C&D on his penultimate start and reportedly clipped heels when a shade disappointing last time. Hell Left Loose returned to form when successful here last time, while Givehertilxmas is another to consider.

A wide draw is a worry for WELLWHATSHAPPENIN, but if he can overcome it, he has strong claims following two good runs here recently

Last month's second over 1m; tongue-tie fitted, upped in trip; could prove the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (2/1 +40%)Soaring Sun |
2/1(+40%) | (2) Soaring Sun 2/1, Ran to form when 3 1/2l third in a maiden here on latest run; effective from 8f to 12f and acts on all-weather; more of a modest handicap type. Recent C&D third puts him in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (15/2 +63%)Land Of The Giants |
15/2(+63%) | (3) Land Of The Giants 15/2, Below form upped in trip when beaten 8l in a handicap here last time; effective at 8f and acts on all-weather; bit to prove. Penultimate maiden third over 1m best recent effort; more needed and trip a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (25/1 -25%)Marambo |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Marambo 25/1, Showed ability on debut when 9 1/4l fourth in a maiden over 8f here first time out; effective at 8f and acts on all-weather; could improve up in trip. Mildly encouraging 1m debut last month; not bred to appreciate this longer trip though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (10/1 -11%)Kings Gesture |
10/1(-11%) | (1) Kings Gesture 10/1, Bit keen but fair Flat debut when beaten 5 1/2l in a maiden over 12f here last time; effective at 12f and acts on all-weather; could improve. Some comeback promise here last month over 1m4f; drop in trip may suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (7/1 +50%)Tirhakah |
7/1(+50%) | (10) Tirhakah 7/1, Again ran to a moderate level when down the field in a maiden over 10f at Down Royal most recent; yet to find suitable conditions and may do better in handicaps. Absent since no show over C&D in May; likely of more interest in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (40/1 +60%)Powerful Rosie |
40/1(+60%) | (7) Powerful Rosie 40/1, Failed to find much when ground was too deep in a Mares' hurdle over 2m3f at Punchestown last time; likely to prefer middle distances on the Flat; hard to fancy here. Soundly beaten in both hurdle outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (200/1 -33%)Siofra Beag |
200/1(-33%) | (9) Siofra Beag 200/1, Showed little on debut when well beaten in a maiden over 8f here only start; yet to find suitable conditions and looks in need of more time. Always behind on last week's debut here over 1m; can only be watched for now. |

SOARING SUN seemed to appreciate the switch to this surface when placed behind Eastern Peace last month. The form of that C&D run received a boost when the second, Matrice, went one better the following week and Pat Flynn's charge may now open his account. Seola had both Land Of The Giants and Marambo behind when filling the runner-up spot over a mile here last month and looks a threat if staying this longer trip. Hallelujah Rose showed promise in three outings for Ger Lyons and is another stepping up in distance, while Kings Gesture was far from disgraced behind Cinammon Coco here last week.

A first-time tongue-tie and a longer trip could see SEOLA (nap) get off the mark at the third attempt

1st (1) (15/2 +25%)Gallo Dell Cielo |
15/2(+25%) | (1) Gallo Dell Cielo 15/2, Yard won this last year; ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap over 11f here last time; effective 8-13f, suited by the all-weather; step back up in trip should help. C&D winner a year ago but needs to improve a fair bit on recent form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (28/1 -12%)Doctor Grace |
28/1(-12%) | (5) Doctor Grace 28/1, Again below form when dropped in trip and well held in an 11f handicap here most recently; visor applied for the first time; effective 10-13f; remains out of form. Both recent runs here well below her best and visor now replaces cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (25/1 +38%)Deluca Chop |
25/1(+38%) | (12) Deluca Chop 25/1, Never threatened but posted best run of 2025 when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time; effective 10-12f and acts on this surface; remains to be seen how much ability remains. Last win came here over 1m2f in early 2023; good bit to find on recent C&D effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/2 +8%)Numidia |
11/2(+8%) | (3) Numidia 11/2, Had the run of the race and ran to form up in trip when winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 52 over 2m here last time; effective up to 16f; fair mark despite dropping 4f in trip. Recent 2m winner just as effective at this trip; draw not ideal but definite contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (5/2 +17%)Power Of Prayer |
5/2(+17%) | (10) Power Of Prayer 5/2, Improved to get off the mark when winning a handicap by 1/2l off 50 here last time; from a top course trainer; effective up to 12f on this surface; more to come up 4lb. Recent C&D winner likely has more to offer from 4lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (4/1 +11%)Someone's Wish |
4/1(+11%) | (7) Someone's Wish 4/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off 98 over 2m1f at Downpatrick in October; a bit keen and not quite at best last time; effective up to 16f and acts on this surface; has enough speed for the shorter trip. Recent third to Numidia over 2m; shorter trip could suit and can go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (18/1 -13%)My Vonnie |
18/1(-13%) | (9) My Vonnie 18/1, Ran to recent level when beaten 3 1/4l off 53 here last time; best at 12f and handles this surface; could have more to offer over this course and distance. Solid recent C&D form puts her in the mix but more needed to play leading role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (25/1 +24%)Boyne Valley |
25/1(+24%) | (4) Boyne Valley 25/1, Scored by 1 1/2l off 55 over 10f at Navan in October and ran to form last time; effective around 10f, suited by cut, handles this surface; in form but mark looks fair. Track debut here last month didn't suggest she was crying out for this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (10/1 -54%)Nibras Rainbow |
10/1(-54%) | (6) Nibras Rainbow 10/1, Produced best form of 2025 when winning a handicap by 3/4l off 51 over 11f here last time; effective up to 11f and handles this surface; respected despite a 5lb rise. Saw it out well for 1m2f win here recently; good chance he'll stay. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (10/1 +0%)Mischief Man |
10/1(+0%) | (11) Mischief Man 10/1, Ran to form in new headgear combination when beaten 3l off 53 over 1m5f at Down Royal last time; effective up to 13f, acts on good ground; respected if handling this surface. Looked hard work at Down Royal and possibly not an ideal ride for a claimer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (33/1 0%)Don't Look Now |
33/1(0%) | (14) Don't Look Now 33/1, Again well below form when down the field in a 9f Leopardstown handicap most recently; effective around 11f and handles this surface; needs improvement stepping up in trip. Two runs for current yard in June offered nothing, probably best watched on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (10/1 -11%)Nita |
10/1(-11%) | (2) Nita 10/1, Ran to form when 4 1/2l third in a handicap here most recently; effective 10-14f, acts on heavy and good ground; on a good mark for this surface. Recent C&D comeback third puts her right in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (22/1 +33%)Highland Harvey |
22/1(+33%) | (13) Highland Harvey 22/1, Outpaced and ran to recent moderate form when beaten 5l in a 10f Navan handicap last time; off a short break and still seeking suitable conditions; poor maiden overall. Recent turf form not that encouraging; much reduced mark so premature to write off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (8) (12/1 +40%)Miss Australie |
12/1(+40%) | (8) Miss Australie 12/1, Again below form when beaten 9l in a 2m handicap here last time; effective around 12f; down to a fair mark and capable of better. Largely struggled so far in handicaps, latest here over 2m behind Numidia; back in trip. |

SOMEONE'S WISH finished well when beaten about a length in third behind Nibras Rainbow over an extended 1m2f here last month and can reverse placings on these revised terms. The selection may have found 2m just too far when again filling third spot behind Numidia here last week and gets the vote over Nita, who has dropped to a competitive mark and is closely matched with My Vonnie on his third over C&D last time. Power Of Prayer had a number of these rivals behind when successful over 1m4f here a fortnight ago.

Recent C&D winner POWER OF PRAYER could well have more to offer off a 4lb higher mark

1st (5) (11/4 -10%)Gaucher |
11/4(-10%) | (5) Gaucher 11/4, Didn't stay but still improved when beaten 3 1/4l off 90 over 2m here last time; top course jockey; best around 12f, didn't quite stay 16f, acts on AW; this drop in trip should suit. Bit to find with Gentleman Joe on last week's 2m run; stronger pace would suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/2 +9%)Quatre Bras |
5/2(+9%) | (7) Quatre Bras 5/2, Improved, scored with plenty in hand when landing a handicap by 3l off 76 over 11f here last time; effective 8-12f, acts on AW; step back up in trip not an issue. Thriving of late, both wins over 1m2f but 7lb worse off with Lady Lunette for C&D defeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (33/1 -230%)Tyson Fury |
33/1(-230%) | (1) Tyson Fury 33/1, Just about ran to form when beaten 6l in a handicap over 1m6f at Ascot last time; usually held up; effective up to 16f, acts on AW; likely to need this back from an absence. Runner-up in this in 2023 after a break so goes well fresh and not to be discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/2 +61%)Crypto Force |
11/2(+61%) | (3) Crypto Force 11/2, Again didn't get home when beaten 8l in a handicap here last time; off a short break; effective up to 10f, yet to convince with stamina for further; mark high enough. Too keen and didn't get home over C&D in October so bit to prove stamina-wise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (18/1 -29%)Old Peculier |
18/1(-29%) | (6) Old Peculier 18/1, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off 88 over 11f at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective 8-12f, acts well on AW; good mark but returning from big absence. Progressive AW performer last winter; absent since April however and may just need this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (4/1 +27%)Gentleman Joe |
4/1(+27%) | (4) Gentleman Joe 4/1, Ran to form back in a handicap when beaten 1 1/2l off 91 over 2m here last time; effective 12-16f, acts on AW; respected off same mark as last week with drop in trip okay. Last week's comeback second here over 2m augurs well albeit this trip on the short side. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (5/1 +9%)Lady Lunette |
5/1(+9%) | (2) Lady Lunette 5/1, Ran to form in new headgear combination when landing a handicap by 3/4l off 92 here last time; effective 9-12f, acts on AW; respected up 4lb. C&D defeat of Quatre Bras in October; 7lb better off with that subsequent winner here. |

GAUCHER has won four times over hurdles, including three times in Grade 3 company, and was having his first Flat start for current connections when fourth behind Bryant over 2m here last week. The selection couldn't find any extra in the closing stages and is taken to reverse places with the runner-up, Gentleman Joe, over this shorter trip. Lady Lunette has won her latest two handicap starts, including when beating Quatre Bras over C&D last time, and that progressive rival has franked the form by scoring again since over the extended 1m2f. Old Peculier completed a hat-trick over a variety of distances here last winter.

An intriguing handicap with LADY LUNETTE taken to confirm C&D form with Quatre Bras, a winner since and now 7lb worse off
Ths is the racecard key.
