The Frankel colt Abbotsford has an Irish Derby entry and is from a fine family, so could be smart, while No Temperance is out of a smart mare who has already produced an American Grade 3 winner.

Una Matata was behind the selection in that recent race and while not ahead of the handicapper, can be depended on to again run well. First-time visored Thompson Gunner is a 14-race maiden but has been running well of late.

WELLWHATSHAPPENIN has prospered since returning to the Polytrack this autumn. The son of Smooth Daddy won over 7f and subsequently finished well when beating all bar the highly-progressive Nikki Swango. He remains on a competitive mark and should be suited by this step back up to a mile. Alex Belardo has been placed a number of times this year including when narrowly beaten over C&D on his penultimate start and reportedly clipped heels when a shade disappointing last time. Hell Left Loose returned to form when successful here last time, while Givehertilxmas is another to consider.

A wide draw is a worry for WELLWHATSHAPPENIN, but if he can overcome it, he has strong claims following two good runs here recently

SOARING SUN seemed to appreciate the switch to this surface when placed behind Eastern Peace last month. The form of that C&D run received a boost when the second, Matrice, went one better the following week and Pat Flynn's charge may now open his account. Seola had both Land Of The Giants and Marambo behind when filling the runner-up spot over a mile here last month and looks a threat if staying this longer trip. Hallelujah Rose showed promise in three outings for Ger Lyons and is another stepping up in distance, while Kings Gesture was far from disgraced behind Cinammon Coco here last week.

SOMEONE'S WISH finished well when beaten about a length in third behind Nibras Rainbow over an extended 1m2f here last month and can reverse placings on these revised terms. The selection may have found 2m just too far when again filling third spot behind Numidia here last week and gets the vote over Nita, who has dropped to a competitive mark and is closely matched with My Vonnie on his third over C&D last time. Power Of Prayer had a number of these rivals behind when successful over 1m4f here a fortnight ago.

The selection couldn't find any extra in the closing stages and is taken to reverse places with the runner-up, Gentleman Joe, over this shorter trip. Lady Lunette has won her latest two handicap starts, including when beating Quatre Bras over C&D last time, and that progressive rival has franked the form by scoring again since over the extended 1m2f. Old Peculier completed a hat-trick over a variety of distances here last winter.
