2nd (1) (12/1 -33%)Kapitein Kool |
12/1(-33%) | (1) Kapitein Kool 12/1, Travelled well and built on bumper form when winning a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot by a neck last time. Effective over 2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; debut form looks solid and he may have a bit more to offer. 33-1 win on hurdle debut; carries penalty against interesting opponents but respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/1 -157%)Aguellid |
9/1(-157%) | (2) Aguellid 9/1, Showed promise when 4l fourth in a juvenile hurdle over 2m2f at Auteuil on debut. Returns from a long absence and is effective at around 2m2f. His French form has been franked at Listed level and there should be more to come for top connections. Promising fourth in 3yo hurdle in France in September 2024; now represents JP McManus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (6/1 -71%)Kado Sacree |
6/1(-71%) | (5) Kado Sacree 6/1, Promising start when winning by a short head in a 3m maiden at Ballynoe on debut. Trainer in form and holds an outside chance. Changed hands for £48,000 after point win and firmly in calculations on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6/1(+57%) | (8) Sea Warrior 6/1, Probably needed the run when well beaten in a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Chepstow last time. Returning from a long layoff and has a small chance if sharper now. Returns from absence but has shown ability and he's not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (40/1 -186%)No Panic |
40/1(-186%) | (6) No Panic 40/1, Short of room before flattening out when clear, showing promise when third beaten 14l in a 2m maiden bumper at Hereford on debut. Needs to find more. Third in sole bumper but no match for the first two; may be one for another day. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (50/1 +38%)Tractor Jack |
50/1(+38%) | (11) Tractor Jack 50/1, Below form when comfortably held in a novice hurdle here last time. Returning from a long layoff and looks to have it all to do. Tailed off in novice hurdles on all three starts and a transformation is necessary. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (400/1 -1112%)Hannibal Bogan |
400/1(-1112%) | (3) Hannibal Bogan 400/1, Telescope gelding; half-brother to Foxy Act, who was smart over 2m6f. Half-brother to 2m1f-2m5f hurdle winner Foxy Act (RPR 117); may be best watched on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (40/1 +20%)The Italian Fox |
40/1(+20%) | (9) The Italian Fox 40/1, Raced wide and soon outpaced when well beaten in a 2m4f novice hurdle at Wincanton on debut. Returning from a long layoff and has plenty to find. Check the betting but he was well beaten at Wincanton in March on his sole start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (7) (66/1 -230%)Raging Al |
66/1(-230%) | (7) Raging Al 66/1, Went too freely and faded down the field in an 11f handicap at Windsor most recently. Hood applied for the first time and returns from a short break with a bit to find. Fair level of ability on the Flat but inconsistent and 0-6 in that code; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (28/1 -12%)Walk In The West |
28/1(-12%) | (12) Walk In The West 28/1, Keen and still learning when well beaten in a 4yo bumper over 2m at Uttoxeter last time; hard to recommend. Needs to produce a lot more than he managed in his two bumpers; hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (250/1 -213%)Tobi Kanobee |
250/1(-213%) | (10) Tobi Kanobee 250/1, Showed limited ability when comfortably held in a 3m maiden at Dawstown last time; faces a stiff task. Tailed off at 33-1 in sole bumper and showed very little in point-to-points subsequently. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having come good at the second time of asking between the flags, the JP McManus-owned HARRY LOWES could prove a useful prospect now debuting under Rules. The Walk In The Park gelding has enough speed in his pedigree to cope with an extended 2m and he edges the vote over Kado Sacree. Olly Murphy's charge boasts a similar profile and market support could prove significant. French import Aguellid - also in the McManus colours - is of interest too.

Point winner HARRY LOWES is taken to make a winning start for Dan Skelton. Fellow point winner Kado Sacree may be the main threat.

1st (5) (2/5 +20%)Lulamba |
2/5(+20%) | (5) Lulamba 2/5, Travelled strongly and won readily when landing the Champion Four Year Old Hurdle (Grade 1) at Punchestown over 2m by 4l last time. With the trainer in form, he looks the pick on overall form with promise of more to come over fences. 4yo Grade 1 hurdle winner who is a very exciting prospect for novice chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (7/1 +42%)Fingle Bridge |
7/1(+42%) | (1) Fingle Bridge 7/1, Progressed over hurdles when winning the trustatrader.com Novices' Hurdle (Listed) here by 2l last time. Returns from a long layoff and has plenty to find on this occasion. Form of Listed novice hurdle win here in February has been strongly boosted; chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (15/2 -88%)Salver |
15/2(-88%) | (3) Salver 15/2, Ran to his best when second, beaten a head, in the Select Hurdle (Grade 2) over 2m6f at Sandown last time. Very useful hurdler; strong claims if rain arrives on chase debut. Has the second-best hurdle form in this field and has reportedly schooled well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (6/1 +50%)Tripoli Flyer |
6/1(+50%) | (4) Tripoli Flyer 6/1, Unseated in a beginners' chase over 2m4f at Perth last time. A classy novice hurdler who is effective at 2m and handles soft and good to soft ground. More to come as his jumping improves. Could still have a bright future over fences but he needs a clear round and a career-best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (125/1 -89%)Largy Belter |
125/1(-89%) | (2) Largy Belter 125/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when well held on debut in a beginners' chase over 2m at Uttoxeter last time. Irish bumper form has been franked and he may improve, likely over further in time. Just two runs under rules and was tailed off on last month's chase/stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having maintained his unbeaten record over hurdles in a Listed event here in February, Fingle Bridge merits plenty of respect on his opening bid over the larger obstacles. He boasts all the attributes to excel in this discipline and isn't taken lightly, but Grade 1 winner LULAMBA will prove a tough nut to crack. Nicky Henderson's Triumph Hurdle runner-up is an exciting prospect for novice chasing and the sky looks the limit. Salver and Tripoli Flyer add further spice to the mix.

4yo Grade 1 hurdle winner LULAMBA has star potential and can make a winning chase debut. Salver is second choice.

1st (5) (4/5 +51%)Supreme Malinas |
4/5(+51%) | (5) Supreme Malinas 4/5, Ran to form when beaten 10l in a Listed Mares' NH Flat Race over 2m at Sandown last time; returning from a long layoff but looks a potential threat. Useful bumper performer who has leading claims if transferring that ability to hurdles.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/10 -21%)A Path To Ronda |
11/10(-21%) | (1) A Path To Ronda 11/10, Went clear with ease for a highly promising debut when winning a maiden hurdle at Stratford over 2m6f by 5 1/2l last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground; strong bumper form suggests she could defy the penalty. Well-bred mare who got straight off the mark over hurdles last month; strong claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -180%)Merely A Detail |
14/1(-180%) | (6) Merely A Detail 14/1, Had too much to do back from a break but did best of those held up when 3l third in a novice hurdle over 2m at Worcester last time; tongue-tie on for the first time; effective at 2m on good ground; bumper winner's hurdle debut has been franked and could improve. Needs to settle better but suggested last time that the step up in trip might suit.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (125/1 0%)Dawn's Desire |
125/1(0%) | (3) Dawn's Desire 125/1, Has shown no worthwhile form and is usually held up; needs a drop in grade to be competitive. Well beaten since falling on February's hurdle debut and easy to look elsewhere.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (100/1 -150%)Freddiemissmolli |
100/1(-150%) | (4) Freddiemissmolli 100/1, Did too much too soon and helped set it up for a closer when well beaten in an amateurs' bumper over 2m at Ffos Las last time; had been in good form beforehand but needs plenty more here. Bit to find on her bumper form but goes up in trip on hurdle debut, which might help.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There was plenty to like about A PATH TO RONDA's winning hurdles bow at Stratford and she looks more than capable of defying a 7lb penalty. Supreme Malinas finished just behind the selection in a Listed bumper at Sandown in March and is feared most on her first appearance over timber. Merely A Detail has placed in both outings over obstacles and is the pick of the remainder.

A Path To Rhonda needs respecting under her penalty, but preference is for SUPREME MALINAS who was equally as effective in bumpers.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (15/8 -7%)That's Nice |
15/8(-7%) | (2) That's Nice 15/8, Quickened clear cosily and improved back up in trip when winning a novice hurdle at Warwick by 1 1/4l last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (17/2 -31%)Tom Doniphon |
17/2(-31%) | (5) Tom Doniphon 17/2, Keen and made too many errors when fourth, beaten 15l in a handicap chase over 2m at Aintree latest. Effective at 2 1/2m and best with cut in the ground; must settle better to progress. Shaped promisingly on last month's chase debut and can improve on that back up in trip.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (9) (18/1 -13%)Lemoncello |
18/1(-13%) | (9) Lemoncello 18/1, Perhaps not suited by the ground and out of form for new yard when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Newbury most recently. Returning from a long layoff and has a bit to find. French hurdle/chase winner but 0-5 in Britain and has something to prove after a break.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

REALLYNTRUTHFULLY bolted up on his chasing bow at Fontwell last month and although 7lb higher now, that experience could be crucial. The son of Jet Away can use it to his advantage and he might need to to repel the challenge of dual novice hurdle winner That's Nice, who makes her fencing/handicap debut. Others to note include Pony Soprano and Barlovento.

Preference is for REALLYNTRUTHFULLY (nap), who looked a good prospect when winning on his chase debut and can defy the 7lb rise.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (10/1 -233%)Move With The Beat |
10/1(-233%) | (2) Move With The Beat 10/1, Ran to form when winning a conditions race at Cothelstone by 4l last time; prolific in points but bit to prove under rules. Three-time point winner in the spring but this asks much more now back under rules.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (18/1 -100%)Lough Owel |
18/1(-100%) | (5) Lough Owel 18/1, Ran to form when third, beaten 7l in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Fontwell on most recent run; effective at 3m on good ground and consistent since switching to fences. Promising 7lb claimer will help but probably vulnerable again to some less-exposed types.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (7/1 +0%)Moonlight Artist |

100/1(-100%) | (10) Voleur De Terres 100/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Fakenham last time; has a lot to find switched to fences. May do better over fences after a break, though rules form offers little encouragement.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The vote goes to point-to-point winner SPECIAL JOHN, who posted a number of creditable efforts over hurdles last term. Now in the care of Sam Thomas, whose team is in excellent form, he can progress for the switch to fences and continue that trend. Mythe Bridge shouldn't be far away if ready to roll on his seasonal return, while Moonlight Artist heads the remainder.

With chase experience, Mythe Bridge needs respecting but preference is for SPECIAL JOHN on his chase and stable debut.

15/2(+6%) | (2) Double Click 15/2, Probably did not stay when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Had been in good form before that and is not without a chance. Reappears with trainer in excellent form and he could have a big part to play. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/3 +49%)Diamatiste |
10/3(+49%) | (1) Diamatiste 10/3, Outpaced before rallying and ran to form when fourth, beaten 13l in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, handles any ground and looks progressive. His best form in his short career has come here and he's not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +29%)Elusiveness |
10/1(+29%) | (6) Elusiveness 10/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Newton Abbot last time. Previously in good form and effective from 2 1/2m to 3m. Progressive in the spring but the handicapper may now have her measure. Ended last season with hat-trick but well beaten on last month's reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (7/2 -27%)Jakar Du Moulin |
7/2(-27%) | (3) Jakar Du Moulin 7/2, From a yard that won this race last year. Unseated in a maiden hurdle over 3m at Chepstow last time. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3m, handles any ground, and remains unexposed at staying trips with a fair opening mark. Promise last season and this handicap newcomer could have lots more to offer for top yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (3/1 +70%)Kingston Gent |
3/1(+70%) | (8) Kingston Gent 3/1, Outpaced and a bit below form when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las most recently. Effective at 2 1/2m and handles a sound surface. Longer trip could suit though his current mark demands more. 0-7 over hurdles but runner-up at Fontwell in April and has had excuses so far this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (22/1 -175%)Stiletto |
22/1(-175%) | (7) Stiletto 22/1, Won by 3 1/2l off 94 over 3m at Perth on his penultimate start. Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 6l off 100 last time. Prefers a sound surface, effective from 2m to 3m, and remains in good form since breaking his maiden. Won two in a row in September and soft ground may not have been ideal subsequently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (66/1 -32%)I Love You Sivola |
66/1(-32%) | (9) I Love You Sivola 66/1, Unsuited by how the race developed but improved on recent form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m2f at Newton Abbot last time. Returning from a break and needs to show more to be competitive. Sole win (from 40 races) came over fences in France in 2022; 6lb out of the handicap today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (10/1 -300%)Henrysbrotherjack |
10/1(-300%) | (4) Henrysbrotherjack 10/1, Keen but well treated up 6lb, and a thorough stayer who won a handicap by 1 1/4l off 96 over 3m at Perth last time. The trainer is in good form and he looks progressive. Three wins from final four runs last term and this progressive 6yo is respected on return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HENRYSBROTHERJACK was on a sharp upward curve when last seen, winning three of his last four starts, although he is 8lb higher on his return to action. However, the yard could hardly be in better form and given that he has shown versatility regarding ground, it's possible he could find the required improvement. Diamatiste made a pleasing reappearance over C&D recently so must be considered, along with handicap debutant Jakar Du Moulin.

The Paul Nicholls-trained JAKAR DU MOULIN has potential off his opening mark and earns the vote ahead of Henrysbrotherjack.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
