(3) (4/1 +0%)Apieceovfortune |
4/1(+0%) | (3) Apieceovfortune 4/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Southwell on her penultimate start. Had every chance but ran below form when sixth, beaten 11l off 87 last time. Effective over 2m4f to 3m, acts on good to soft and good ground; inconsistent but fairly treated on her recent win. Catterick was disappointing but a 3m winner the time before and could bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (6/1 +0%)Dance In The Park |
6/1(+0%) | (5) Dance In The Park 6/1, Made mistakes but ran to current form when fourth, beaten 18l in a handicap hurdle at Catterick last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on any ground, though remains in poor form. Latest fourth in a Catterick handicap was remote and she's looking regressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (7/4 +0%)Briery Butterfly |
7/4(+0%) | (1) Briery Butterfly 7/4, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Ludlow last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m and suited by decent ground; in fair form and could find a bit more over this longer trip. Knocking on the door in handicaps and bred to improve again for this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (10/1 +0%)Jewel Of Windsor |
10/1(+0%) | (4) Jewel Of Windsor 10/1, From a yard that won this last year; outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Hereford latest. Wears cheekpieces for the first time; acts on good ground. Still early days but needs to show more. What could help is this longer trip (pointing background) and new headgear is tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (11/4 +0%)Somebodycomegether |
11/4(+0%) | (2) Somebodycomegether 11/4, Went clear and showed determination, improving under an aggressive ride down in trip to land a handicap by 4l off a 7lb lower mark at Catterick last time. Effective from 2m to 2m5f, acts on good ground and in fair form in both codes. Made all over 2m3f last time off 7lb lower; in form but there could be stamina issues. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (66/1 +0%)Precious Jean |
66/1(+0%) | (7) Precious Jean 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time but looks up against it and has yet to show anything of note. Out of form and too far out of the weights to consider; tongue-tie fitted after wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (80/1 +0%)Porridge |
80/1(+0%) | (6) Porridge 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell last time following a short break. Effective over 2m4f to 2m7f on heavy or soft ground but remains well below a winning level. Pulled up in her last two handicap hurdles and she's again a long way out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Somebodycomegether finally opened her account when successful at Catterick. She'll find life tougher raised 7lb and BRIERY BUTTERFLY is less exposed. The daughter of Getaway finished clear of the rest when runner-up to the progressive Princess Keri at Ludlow in November and Henry Daly looks to have found her an easier opportunity. A winner at Southwell on her penultimate start, Apieceovfortune could get involved if back on song.

Henry Daly's BRIERY BUTTERFLY (nap) has run well in her last three handicaps and she's bred to be even better over this longer trip.

(2) (4/1 +0%)Uncle Al |
4/1(+0%) | (2) Uncle Al 4/1, Scored by a nose off a 2lb lower mark at Sedgefield on his penultimate start. Made mistakes and was outpaced when below form, finishing sixth beaten 23l off 85 last time. Best around 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent but the step back up in trip may help. Hit and miss but would have a chance if repeating the form of his win at Sedgefield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (6/4 +0%)Crac De Megaudais |
6/4(+0%) | (1) Crac De Megaudais 6/4, Yard has won the last two renewals of this race; every chance when below form, finishing fourth beaten 65l in a handicap chase at Plumpton last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m and suited by a sound surface. Course winner over hurdles, yet to build on a promising chase debut but fair mark on that form. Bled from the nose latest but capable of running well if the wheels stay on this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (12/1 +0%)Honneur De Sivola |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Honneur De Sivola 12/1, Never competitive due to a series of errors when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Southwell last time. Prefers 3m and acts on good ground. Out-of-form maiden. Still a maiden and his two runs after wind surgery leave him with much to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (17/2 +0%)Imperial Pride |
17/2(+0%) | (3) Imperial Pride 17/2, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Huntingdon last time. Effective at 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground. Well treated on old form but needs to prove ability remains. Has pulled up in two handicap chases since returning from an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/4 0%)Three Zambezi's |
9/4(0%) | (4) Three Zambezi's 9/4, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Exeter last time. Trainer in form and looks the type to do better now chasing over longer distances; not ruled out. Limited hurdler but was runner-up in a point and could be better over fences. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

UNCLE AL is the most recent winner, having scored over this distance at Sedgefield last month. Jessica Bedi's charge disappointed in a conditionals' race at Catterick subsequently, but he gets another chance with Aaron Anderson allowed to utilise his 5lb claim on this occasion. Crac De Megaudais struck over hurdles here last year and his trainer has sent out the last two winners. He's preferred to Imperial Pride of the rest.

The 6yo THREE ZAMBEZI'S has an awful lot to prove but the same is true of his four rivals and it's hoped he will make a better chaser.

(3) (5/1 +0%)Quinta Brigada |
5/1(+0%) | (3) Quinta Brigada 5/1, Ran to form when well beaten in a 4yo bumper at Galway last time; returning from a short break and needs to improve now hurdling. Pedigree suggests he may improve for going over jumps on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (5/2 +0%)Sense Of Reason |
5/2(+0%) | (4) Sense Of Reason 5/2, Promising debut when fourth beaten 9l in a novice hurdle at Huntingdon, tiring late after racing freely; effective at 10–16f and acts on soft ground; should do better over hurdles when settling. Flat winner; made the frame at Huntingdon on the switch to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (6/4 +0%)Eddie My Eagle |
6/4(+0%) | (1) Eddie My Eagle 6/4, Improved from debut when second beaten 2l in a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield last time; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good to firm; form has taken some knocks but he is progressing. Consistent form in two bumpers and two maiden hurdles; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (15/2 +0%)The Den Master |
15/2(+0%) | (5) The Den Master 15/2, Ran to form when 12l third in a conditions race at Garthorpe on latest outing; faces a tough task here. Rules debutant whose point form has plenty of substance; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +0%)Victors Spirit |
15/2(+0%) | (6) Victors Spirit 15/2, Far too free and stopped quickly on poor debut when finishing down the field in a maiden at Wolverhampton; had been in good form prior in bumpers and comes from a stable in form so not ruled out. Runner-up in two bumpers but likely needs progress to go one better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (50/1 +0%)Painted Wolf |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Painted Wolf 50/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Exeter last time; a point winner who has yet to show his ability under rules. Has achieved very little in two rules starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (100/1 +0%)Cosmic Spirit |
100/1(+0%) | (7) Cosmic Spirit 100/1, Has shown no worthwhile form, offering nothing on the Flat at 6–7f or in his runs over hurdles so far. Dismal claims on form; had wind surgery since last run. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A rare runner in this code for Newmarket trainer Charlie Fellowes, SENSE OF REASON finished a respectable fourth at Huntingdon on his hurdling bow. That experience should stand him in good stead and he could find enough improvement to launch a serious challenge. Eddie My Eagle is another likely to be thereabouts at the finish on the back of filling the runner-up spot at Sedgefield. Quinta Brigada is worth noting on debut for his new yard.

Rules debutant THE DEN MASTER looks particularly interesting. Eddie My Eagle is second pick.

(4) (6/4 +0%)Overabottleofred |
6/4(+0%) | (4) Overabottleofred 6/4, Benefited from positive tactics and a longer trip, the margin exaggerated by a late faller, when improving to win a handicap by 21l off a 5lb lower mark at Huntingdon last time. Effective over 3m, handles heavy or good ground, and looks fairly treated. Unexposed 7yo who won at Huntingdon when last seen in April; respected on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 +0%)Mighty Fleur |
7/2(+0%) | (2) Mighty Fleur 7/2, Made her move too soon and probably found the ground too testing when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Consistent over hurdles prior on good ground; likely improver now chasing; big player. Lightly raced 6yo but she flopped last time and has a bit to prove on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (17/2 +0%)Jacks Touch |
17/2(+0%) | (3) Jacks Touch 17/2, Built on her reappearance but the race fell apart when finishing second, beaten 21l in a handicap chase here last time. Effective at around 2½m and acts on soft or good to soft ground but must prove her ability remains after a long layoff. Veteran who has not won in two years and was a remote second over C&D last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (15/8 0%)It's Easy |
15/8(0%) | (1) It's Easy 15/8, Scored by 40l off a 6lb lower mark at Bangor-on-Dee on her penultimate start. Went clear and made too much use of herself when eighth, beaten 12l off 110 last time. Effective at 2m4f, handles any ground, and remains in good form. Easy win at Bangor and she did too much too soon at Cheltenham last time; in the mix. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

OVERABOTTLEOFRED is lightly raced over fences, finishing second at Leicester twice before coming home 21 lengths in front at Huntingdon after being left clear at the last. Upped 5lb for that, she may have improvement to come on her return for the season. It's Easy was outclassed when eighth at Cheltenham but won by 40 lengths at Bangor in November, although that was on heavy ground and conditions may be very different here. Mighty Fleur could get the better of Jacks Touch for third.

The vote goes to the unexposed OVERABOTTLEOFRED, who won at Huntingdon in April and is open to more progress over fences this season.

(6) (2/1 +0%)Kelijoe |
2/1(+0%) | (6) Kelijoe 2/1, Keen but did it readily, improving when better suited by the track and more positive handling to land a Doncaster handicap by 4l off a 7lb lower mark. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft and good ground; more to come over hurdles in handicaps and looks stable first string. Came good with emphatic win at Doncaster last month and could easily have more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (8/1 +0%)Time Interval |
8/1(+0%) | (4) Time Interval 8/1, Found the ground too soft when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Hereford last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective at 2m but may not stay 2 1/2m. Back on last winning mark, with a sharp track expected to suit though stamina remains to prove. Out of form in the autumn but back on better ground with visor added here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (10/3 +0%)Breezethroughlife |
10/3(+0%) | (2) Breezethroughlife 10/3, Improved when stepped up in trip on handicap debut, beaten 1 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Doncaster last time. Trainer in form; effective from 2m to 3m on good ground and has more to offer as a stayer. Won small-field C&D maiden in October and returns here after good second on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (11/4 +0%)Escapologist |
11/4(+0%) | (3) Escapologist 11/4, Ran to form in first-time cheekpieces when fourth, beaten 12l in a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective over 2 1/2m and consistent, though current mark demands more; likes the track. Absent since spring but still has low mileage and is well suited by this C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (12/1 +0%)Bluegrass |
12/1(+0%) | (1) Bluegrass 12/1, Scored by a nose off a 1lb higher mark at Southwell in October; effective at 2m and acts on soft but prefers good ground. In fair form until latest, with sharp tracks likely suiting best given his flat speed. Three-time 2m course winner but has mixed this season; yet fully to convince over 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 +0%)Hiconic |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Hiconic 14/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Effective around 14f on the Flat and 2-2 1/2m over hurdles. Handicapper has relented so not ruled out. Reverts to hurdling on workable mark but is too inconsistent to rely upon heavily nowadays. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Trainer Stuart Edmunds won this in 2022 and he has two entered here, with Kelijoe in with a chance after he came home clear of his rivals at Doncaster over a fraction shorter. Upped 7lb, he will need to improve again to get the better of stable companion BLUEGRASS, who has won three of his four starts here and is worth another try at the extended distance with Murray Dodd claiming 7lb. Breezethroughlife is preferred to Escapologist of the remainder.

Bottomweight KELIJOE took his form to a new level when winning with authority at Doncaster three weeks ago and can follow up here.

(1) (2/1 +0%)One Last Glance |
2/1(+0%) | (1) One Last Glance 2/1, Travelled well, possibly hit the front too soon, and ran to form when beaten a length off a 3lb lower mark at Wetherby last time; effective from 2m to 3m and acts on any ground; respected off 3lb higher. Career-best form when close second over 3m last month; tries a new trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/1 +0%)Stamina Chope |
9/1(+0%) | (3) Stamina Chope 9/1, Scored by 4 1/4l off an 8lb lower mark at Leicester on her penultimate start; ran to form when third, beaten 4 1/4l off 84 last time; well treated on old form; an outside chance. Ended last year in good form over hurdles; first chase run since June 2024. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (11/1 +0%)Annie Nail |
11/1(+0%) | (5) Annie Nail 11/1, Made mistakes but showed determination and may have won but for a late error when beaten 1 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here last time; effective around 2 1/2m on good ground; inconsistent but her mark is dropping and fair claims if stamina holds up. Form slumped after course win last spring but she ran well over hurdles here last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/2 +0%)Grand Sabre |
11/2(+0%) | (4) Grand Sabre 11/2, Outpaced and possibly unsuited by the drop in trip when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Leicester last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at 3m and acts on good ground; out of form this autumn. Won off this mark in May, his second chase, but safely held all four starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/8 +0%)Illogical Logic |
15/8(+0%) | (2) Illogical Logic 15/8, Rallied gamely and returned to form when beaten a neck off this mark at Windsor last time; trainer in form; effective at 3m on good and good to soft; inconsistent but recent form has been franked, a threat off an unchanged mark with longer trip a plus. Returned to form with game second over 3m in November; well worth a crack at this trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Plenty of in-form runners to pick from but ANNIE NAIL stands out after her second over hurdles here under today's jockey. Due to go up 3lb for future races, she won't get many better chances, although her stamina for this distance does have to be taken on trust at the first attempt. Stamina Chope has won over 3m-plus and warrants respect after her Leicester third, but she is not as effective over fences and Windsor second Illogical Logic appears to be the bigger danger.

Back in form when second at Windsor in November, ILLOGICAL LOGIC might seize the chance to dominate from the front here.

3/1(+0%) | (6) Eliza Dolittle 3/1, Returned to form when back down in trip at her favoured venue, beaten 1 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Plumpton last time; effective around 2m4f, best on a sound surface and goes well at Plumpton; form can be in and out. Another good run at Plumpton (2m4f) when beating all bar a handicap debutant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (4/1 +0%)Getaway With You |
4/1(+0%) | (3) Getaway With You 4/1, Scored by 7 1/2l off an 11lb lower mark at Lingfield two runs back; ran to form when second, beaten 11l off 92 last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on soft and good to soft; thriving but the handicapper has reacted. 4lb higher than when an 11l second at Uttoxeter but can still run well in current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (5/1 +0%)Cher Monsieur |
5/1(+0%) | (7) Cher Monsieur 5/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 9l, in a handicap hurdle at Southwell last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time; effective around 2 1/2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; in moderate form off low marks. New headgear tried and best previous run came in a first-time hood (finished third). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (8/1 +0%)Milan Milos |
8/1(+0%) | (8) Milan Milos 8/1, From the yard that won this race last year; made mistakes and found little when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster last time; effective over 2 1/2m but struggling in handicaps. Probably has a race in him off this mark when putting best foot forward (didn't last time). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (13/2 +0%)Heaven Smart |
13/2(+0%) | (2) Heaven Smart 13/2, Ran to form when third, beaten 7 1/4l, in a handicap chase at Musselburgh on his latest outing; fair mark on chase form; holds only a minor chance. Likes to lead and couldn't when running okay to be third over fences last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (15/2 +0%)Hidor De Bersy |
15/2(+0%) | (1) Hidor De Bersy 15/2, Went clear with ease when landing a handicap by 14l off a 3lb lower mark at Wincanton last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good; thrown in on that latest run and could follow up. Dodgy form in winning at Wincanton but the handicapper hasn't gone overboard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (33/1 +0%)Clear The Runway |
33/1(+0%) | (4) Clear The Runway 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Southwell on his latest outing; returns from a long absence; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and suited by a sound surface; was regressive when last seen. Thrown in on best form but has lost his way and returns from a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (66/1 +0%)Kilnacarra |
66/1(+0%) | (5) Kilnacarra 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time; formerly effective around 2m and acts on good ground; tongue-tie applied but has been out of form for his new yard. Bits of form in Ireland but nothing in three runs for this yard after absence; had wind op. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GETAWAY WITH YOU failed in his hat-trick bid when second at Uttoxeter, but that was on heavy ground and he could get back to winning ways. Hidor De Bersy might be the one to make him pull out all the stops after a very easy victory at Wincanton, with a 3lb rise in the handicap seemingly generous. Eliza Dolittle and Heaven Smart have claims too.

The suggestion is ELIZA DOLITTLE who bumped into an improver last time at Plumpton. Cher Monsieur is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
