17:35 Fontwell (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Secret Pearl got up in the shadows of the post at Market Rasen last month but although she is respected under the penalty, a chance can be taken on ELUSIVE FEELING. Ben Pauling's mare struggled in a Listed bumper on her racecourse bow in January, but switching to hurdles will suit and it wouldn't come as any great surprise were she to progress. Others to note include She Is For Me Boys and Golden Echo.

Flat winner GOLDEN ECHO was not given a hard time when fourth at Chepstow last month and still has potential over hurdles.

18:10 Fontwell (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MOUNT OLYMPUS went agonisingly close in a maiden at Fakenham last time. Alan King's charge looks certain to relish today's extra yardage on that evidence and, from an opening handicap mark of 102, he is sure to have a big say in the outcome. Tom Lacey has his string in fine form so Light Dragoon needs to be taken seriously, despite the absence. Sambezi completes the shortlist.

Thankyouandplease is respected but LIGHT DRAGOON is open to improvement and can get back on track for his in-form yard.

18:40 Fontwell (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A confident vote goes to the Paul Nicholls-trained FORTUNATE FELLA, who hit the woodwork over C&D on his chasing debut last month. Ben Bromley can claim his full allocation here, meaning the five-year-old is essentially 1lb lower, and with improvement on the cards, this is a fine opportunity. Ceejaybe was half a length behind in third that day and must enter calculations, along with Rock On Rita, who should appreciate a drop in trip.

None of these are overly convincing. FORTUNATE FELLA might be the answer after his encouraging chase debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DECORATED made every yard of the running to score in comfortable fashion over 2m3f here last month and is just 7lb higher. If the seven-year-old remains in similar form, he will prove very hard to beat. Super Sabre Sam had to settle for fifth over C&D on the same card, but is 1lb lower and may get closer. Of the remainder, Golden Ambition makes the most appeal.

Preference is for ROCKOLA (nap) who probably ran as well as she ever has when third at Ludlow. Decorated is the danger.

ROCKS UP LATE was eased down to score on his chase/stable debut at Worcester last week and now has a 7lb penalty to carry. Considering the manner of his success, along with the potential for lots more to come, he could be the one to beat again. Fox Wallace, who is also penalised, emphatically recorded her first career success at Stratford and needs to be taken seriously. Hatos looks best of the rest.

Fox Wallace should give it another good go but ROCKS UP LATE is the sort to run up a sequence. Romanor is clear third choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Point-to-point winner Hard Stare weakened out of contention on his first start under Rules at Newbury, but could easily take a step forward in a first-time tongue-tie. Even so, THE BOSS BEAR looks the more appealing option. The five-year-old shaped with promise to fill the runner-up spot on his debut at Huntingdon and, with normal progression, he will prove very tough to beat. Any market confidence behind Flying Pimpernel would be interesting.

Hard Stare should go well in these calmer waters but THE BOSS BEAR shaped with loads of promise on his debut and can go one better.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
