1st (2) (5/6 -46%)Blue Lemons |
5/6(-46%) | (2) Blue Lemons 5/6, Useful performer on Flat for Richard Hannon (stayed 1m). Since joined Willie Mullins and is of obvious interest on jumps debut. 97-rated on Flat with Richard Hannon; likes an ease; obvious appeal on hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (11/4 +39%)Kool One |
11/4(+39%) | (5) Kool One 11/4, Fair Flat winner who posted promising third of 16 in juvenile hurdle at Naas (15.9f, heavy, 28/1) on NH debut 20 days ago. Sets the standard on form. Promising Naas debut run puts him in the mix; needs to settle better though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (10/1 +29%)San Hilario |
10/1(+29%) | (10) San Hilario 10/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. Twice-raced maiden. Eighth of 16 in juvenile hurdle (9/1) at Naas (15.9f, heavy) 20 days ago. Yard having good spell. Each-way claims. Promise in both hurdle runs but has plenty to find with Kool One on latest Naas effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (15) (14/1 +30%)Radar Ahead |
14/1(+30%) | (15) Radar Ahead 14/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. First run since leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien when fourth of 12 in maiden (10/1) at Dundalk (12f) 59 days ago. Hooded for 1st time. Worth monitoring in market on NH debut. 80-rated Flat maiden below best on recent yard debut at Dundalk; hooded for hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (28/1 +30%)Powerful |
28/1(+30%) | (9) Powerful 28/1, Once-raced maiden. 11/1, twelfth of 14 in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.4f, soft) on NH debut 33 days ago. Improvement required. None too fluent when never counting on hurdles debut at Punchestown; probably best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (16) (10/1 +17%)Stiltellinemnuttin |
10/1(+17%) | (16) Stiltellinemnuttin 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Left previous efforts behind when excellent fifth of 16 in juvenile hurdle at Naas (15.9f, heavy, 250/1) 20 days ago. Claims if building on that. Naas run a step in the right direction but good bit more likely needed here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (25/1 +0%)Autumn Twist |
25/1(+0%) | (1) Autumn Twist 25/1, Twice-raced maiden. 4/1, last of 8 in maiden at Dundalk (8f) on IRE flat debut 3 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Others more appealing. Ex Andre Fabre; best watched on recent form for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (200/1 +0%)Nobody |
200/1(+0%) | (7) Nobody 200/1, Modest maiden on the Flat. Twice-raced maiden. 100/1, slipped up in juvenile hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, soft) 10 days ago. Up against it. Low-grade Flat handicapper and two maiden hurdle runs don't inspire confidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (25/1 +24%)Lagoon Nebula |
25/1(+24%) | (13) Lagoon Nebula 25/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. Once-raced maiden. 50/1, first run since leaving W. McCreery when fifth of 13 in juvenile hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, soft) on NH debut 10 days ago. Entitled to improve on that. Novicey jumping on recent hurdles debut; may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (125/1 -400%)Hobart |
125/1(-400%) | (3) Hobart 125/1, Fair maiden on the Flat. Twice-raced maiden. 16/1, seventh of 13 in juvenile hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, soft) 10 days ago. Work to do. Two runs over hurdles at Fairyhouse suggest he'll be of more interest in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (66/1 0%)Out Moll's Gap |
66/1(0%) | (8) Out Moll's Gap 66/1, Crystal Ocean gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler/modest chase winner Howdilyoudo. Likely a longer-term prospect. One of two stable runners, market likely best guide on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (33/1 +50%)Ameilya |
33/1(+50%) | (12) Ameilya 33/1, Fairly useful Flat winner. Twice-raced maiden over hurdles. Fairly useful winner at 8f on flat. Seventh of 20 in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.4f, soft, 66/1) 46 days ago. Makes limited appeal. Flat winner here; needs to improve on previous two attempts hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (125/1 -279%)T Or Coffey |
125/1(-279%) | (11) T Or Coffey 125/1, Modest maiden on the Flat. Twice-raced maiden. 18/1, tenth of 13 in juvenile hurdle at Ballinrobe (17.9f, good) 155 days ago. Work to do. Killarney promise but didn't jump well at Ballinrobe; back from a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (17) (16/1 0%)J'envoievalserenki |
16/1(0%) | (17) J'envoievalserenki 16/1, Twice-raced maiden. 80/1, sixth of 14 in juvenile hurdle at Punchestown (16.4f, soft) 33 days ago. Others more persuasive. RESERVE. Some merit in latest of two runs at Punchestown; more needed; reserve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (150/1 -127%)Lucky This Time |
150/1(-127%) | (6) Lucky This Time 150/1, Lucky Speed gelding. Dam unraced. Market should prove best guide to claims on debut. Newcomer best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (200/1 -33%)Pink Aurora |
200/1(-33%) | (14) Pink Aurora 200/1, Once-raced maiden. Seventeenth of 20 in juvenile hurdle (250/1) at Punchestown (16.4f, soft) on NH debut 46 days ago. Hard to recommend. Modest enough on the Flat and tailed off on hurdles debut. |

BLUE LEMONS won a soft ground juvenile maiden and was a useful Flat handicapper for Richard Hannon including when placed in the Esher Cup at Sandown reaching a rating of 99. He looks a smart recruit to hurdles for the champion trainer, although there may be some stamina concerns having never raced beyond a mile. Kool One showed a much lower level of form on the Flat winning a 1m6f Navan handicap off a mark of 58 but ran a cracker on his hurdle debut at Naas last month. Conor Maxwell's charge had Stiltellinemnuttin five lengths behind in fifth, with San Hilario in eighth, when placed behind the odds-on Charlus. Radar Ahead showed some decent placed form on the Flat.

BLUE LEMONS boasts useful form on the level and will be hard to beat if taking to this discipline. Kool One looks the obvious danger on form, whilst Hudson can also make his presence felt.

Triumph Hurdle entry Kool One holds strong claims but may have to give best to classy Flat recruit BLUE LEMONS who handles soft

1st (2) (2/7 +21%)Kitzbuhel |
2/7(+21%) | (2) Kitzbuhel 2/7, Promising type. First run since leaving D. Sourdeau De Beauregard when 3/1, won 8-runner minor event hurdle at Punchestown (16.6f, soft) on IRE debut 67 days ago. Leading contender with promise of more to come. French recruit impressed on yard debut at Punchestown; could take some beating here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (14/1 +58%)Break My Soul |
14/1(+58%) | (4) Break My Soul 14/1, Useful hurdler. Hooded for 1st time, good second of 10 in handicap hurdle at Newbury (16.3f, good to soft, 11/4) 49 days ago, clear of rest. First run for yard after leaving Nicky Henderson. Decent handicapper for Nicky Henderson; upped in grade for yard debut searching black-type. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/2 -5%)Sir Gerhard |
7/2(-5%) | (3) Sir Gerhard 7/2, Smart hurdler/chaser. Nine wins from 20 NH runs. 10/3, last of 3 in minor event hurdle at Punchestown (19f, soft) 46 days ago, finding little. Down in trip and a huge danger to all if close to best form. Good bit below best in two runs at Punchestown this season; hard to be confident in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (20/1 -25%)Beacon Edge |
20/1(-25%) | (1) Beacon Edge 20/1, Smart hurdler. 16/1, 11 lengths second of 3 to Anzadam in Limestone Lad Hurdle at Naas (15.9f, heavy) 20 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. That is the concern again here. Grade 1 winner in his pomp; vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (250/1 +17%)Queenie St Clair |
250/1(+17%) | (6) Queenie St Clair 250/1, Thrice-raced maiden over hurdles. Fair winner at 7f on Flat. Well-beaten last of 8 to Aurora Vega in Solerina Mares Novices' Hurdle at Fairyhouse (18.2f, soft, 300/1) 21 days ago. Out of her depth. Ordinary Flat maiden and well held both attempts hurdling; out of her depth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (100/1 -25%)Effernock Fizz |
100/1(-25%) | (5) Effernock Fizz 100/1, Useful hurdler at best but looks on the downgrade. 100/1, twenty first of 25 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (24.1f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Significantly back down in trip and is right up against it. Admirable front-runner but recent form far from encouraging. |

KITZBUHEL won a juvenile hurdle in France and made a bright start for current connections when beating Colonel Mustard by nearly four lengths at Punchestown. Paul Townend again takes the ride in preference to Sir Gerhard whose form has fallen back from the heights which brought him two Grade 1 victories at the Cheltenham Festival. Beacon Edge has been campaigned at a high level over a variety of trips this season winning the bet365 Hurdle over 3m at Wetherby and placed behind Lossiemouth in the Bar One Racing Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse. Break My Soul won twice for Nicky Henderson last year and has now joined Ian Donoghue.

The manner in which KITZBUHEL accounted for a Graded performer at Punchestown on debut for new connections suggests he's very talented and with Sir Gerhard hard to predict these days, he should go in again.

Impressive on his Irish debut at Punchestown, KITZBUHEL looks to have been found a good opportunity here

1st (15) (9/2 -13%)Bridie's Beau |
9/2(-13%) | (15) Bridie's Beau 9/2, Promising sort. Career best when winning 17-runner handicap hurdle (5/2) at Punchestown (19.2f, heavy) 19 days ago, won easily having been well-backed. Open to further progress. Ready Punchestown winner hit with 14lb hike but likely big player again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/1 +55%)Killaney King |
5/1(+55%) | (6) Killaney King 5/1, Creditable second of 8 in novice hurdle at Limerick (19f, soft, 4/1) 48 days ago, doing well to finish as close as he did after refusing to settle. Hood on 1st time should help and he's open to improvement. Limerick second augurs well, especially if settling better in first-time hood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (16/1 +36%)Camino Rock |
16/1(+36%) | (10) Camino Rock 16/1, Ran up to his best when sixth of 19 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, soft, 28/1) 84 days ago. Cheekpieces replace blinkers and should be competitive again. Back from a break and ideally wants better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (16/1 +20%)Slanagaibhgoleir |
16/1(+20%) | (2) Slanagaibhgoleir 16/1, Building up a hit and miss profile, not on a going day when 11/1, eleventh of 16 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (20.6f, heavy) 34 days ago. Recent efforts disappointing; yard seemingly have stronger contender in Find A Fortune. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (13/2 +54%)Krabat |
13/2(+54%) | (14) Krabat 13/2, Respectable fifth of 18 in handicap hurdle at this course (24.3f, heavy, 10/1) 23 days ago, shaping as if his stamina ebbed away late on. Back in trip should help and looks one for the shortlist. 3m proved beyond him here last month but still respected back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (16/1 -78%)Housemartin |
16/1(-78%) | (13) Housemartin 16/1, Career best when winning 16-runner handicap hurdle at Roscommon (24f, soft, 8/1). Off 6 months and has won following a break in the past. Chance. Absent since career-best Roscommon win in August but goes well fresh and likes it soft. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (22/1 -83%)Iamagetaway |
22/1(-83%) | (11) Iamagetaway 22/1, Lightly-raced winner landed maiden hurdle at Limerick with plenty in hand, albeit in a modest enough contest. First run for yard after leaving James Andrew Fahey. Makes handicap hurdle debut and could be more to come. Limerick maiden winner debuts for new yard and soft ground a definite concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (17) (40/1 +20%)Ishan |
40/1(+20%) | (17) Ishan 40/1, 80/1, tenth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Naas (18.7f, heavy) 20 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time but yet to fire this season. Recent return to hurdling was a poor one; tongue-tie now tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (12/1 +40%)Paradise Lost |
12/1(+40%) | (12) Paradise Lost 12/1, May have needed the run when eighth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (20.6f, heavy, 14/1) 34 days ago. Should strip fitter here. Mildly encouraging comeback run at Punchestown last month, could have more to offer here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (9) (80/1 -21%)Rock On Seamie |
80/1(-21%) | (9) Rock On Seamie 80/1, Pulled up in handicap hurdle (80/1) at Limerick (24f, soft) 49 days ago. Opposable. Both hurdle wins at 2m, ran no sort of race upped to 3m at Limerick latest; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (22/1 -10%)Chosen Thyme |
22/1(-10%) | (7) Chosen Thyme 22/1, Reportedly amiss when below form seventh of 14 in novice hurdle (10/3) at Wexford (24f, good to soft). Off 7 months but has gone well fresh in the past. Absent since July but runs well fresh and could go well here with trip/ground to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (19) (33/1 -65%)Pirate Island |
33/1(-65%) | (19) Pirate Island 33/1, Pulled up on final start of last season and 33/1 when fell in novice hurdle at Punchestown (19.4f, soft) 12 days ago. Others have stronger claims. Early faller on recent comeback run; place claims on last winter's handicap form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (20/1 +0%)Routine Excellence |
20/1(+0%) | (5) Routine Excellence 20/1, Considerately handled when back over hurdles latest, finishing respectable ninth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Navan (20f, good to soft) 62 days ago. Tongue strap back on and capable of better. Recent form leaves him with a fair bit to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (4) (66/1 +34%)Little Mixup |
66/1(+34%) | (4) Little Mixup 66/1, Continues to show little, 150/1, fourteenth of 18 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (16f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Up in trip but best to look elsewhere. Has lost his form completely since winning at Thurles over a year ago and hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (3) (14/1 -75%)Find A Fortune |
14/1(-75%) | (3) Find A Fortune 14/1, Didn't need to improve to win 4-runner novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (20f, soft, 10/3) 30 days ago. Makes handicap hurdle debut but will see the best of him over fences. Comeback win at Fairyhouse augurs well albeit stiffer task on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (20) (9/2 -13%)Crescent Moon |
9/2(-13%) | (20) Crescent Moon 9/2, Promising sort. Caught the eye when good second of 10 in handicap hurdle at Cork (16.9f, soft, 17/2) 29 days ago, having travelled well and not been given a hard time once the winner had flown. Leading claims. Eyecatching Cork second should appreciate longer trip; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (8) (13/2 +46%)One Big Boum |
13/2(+46%) | (8) One Big Boum 13/2, Landed a double under more positive tactics but winning run came to end under more patient ride fifth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Naas (18.7f, heavy) 20 days ago. Could bounce back. Dual winner this term but well held off revised mark last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (16) (17/2 +29%)Therellbguddaysyet |
17/2(+29%) | (16) Therellbguddaysyet 17/2, Creditable third of 18 in handicap hurdle (25/1) at this course (24.3f, heavy) 23 days ago. Place claims may be the best he can hope for. Good recent 3m1f effort here augurs well but needs to jump better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (18) (80/1 -60%)Kingdom Calling |
80/1(-60%) | (18) Kingdom Calling 80/1, Disappointing handicap debut when sixteenth of 19 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (16f, good, 80/1) 51 days ago. Up in trip and hood on 1st time but needs to improve. Never sighted on handicap debut over Christmas; upped in trip and hooded now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
19th (1) (50/1 -52%)Digby |
50/1(-52%) | (1) Digby 50/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2022 and disappointing when last seen over smaller obstacles. Seventh of 10 in handicap chase at Thurles (21.8f, good, 9/1) 27 days ago. Back over hurdles in tongue strap for 1st time, but others preferred. Back from chasing and remains opposable off this mark; tongue-tied tried. |

Gavin Cromwell holds a strong hand here and perhaps CRESCENT MOON will prove the pick. She was second to Blue Mosque on her only bumper start at Naas last year and after showing some promise in decent maiden hurdles, filled the runner-up spot on her handicap debut at Cork last month. Conor Stone-Walsh now takes off a valuable 5lb and she's preferred to stablemate Bridie's Beau who has been raised a hefty 14lb for a decisive win at Punchestown last month. Find A Fortune, Killaney King and Iamagetaway are three for the shortlist while Therellbguddaysyet and Krabat are both consistent sorts who look sure to give a good account.

Gavin Cromwell has a trio of interesting runners and the most appealing could be CRESCENT MOON who was only raised 4 lb for her eye-catching second last month and could come out on top ahead of stablemate Bridie's Beau, who remains unexposed despite a 15 lb hike for his latest win. Killaney King should improve if settling in a first-time hood, while Krabat might be capable of outrunning his odds.

Gavin Cromwell holds a strong hand, principally with Punchestown winner Bridie's Beau and the Cork eyecatcher CRESCENT MOON (nap)

1st (3) (9/2 -29%)Classic Getaway |
9/2(-29%) | (3) Classic Getaway 9/2, Very smart chaser who stepped up on his reappearance run when 6 lengths second of 7 to Appreciate It in Kinloch Brae Chase at Thurles (20.9f, good, 11/2) 27 days ago. Respected with a repeat. C&D beginners chase winner, gets 5lb from both rivals here, could be the main danger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (2/5 +56%)Saint Sam |
2/5(+56%) | (2) Saint Sam 2/5, High-class chaser who was successful twice over hurdles before bringing up the hat-trick in Clonmel Oil Chase (20.8f) in November. Far from disgraced when second of 3 in minor event hurdle at Punchestown (19f) 46 days ago and he's a big player back over larger obstacles. Front runner, 6-13 over fences, won this last year, preferred by Townend, the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/1 -82%)Journey With Me |
5/1(-82%) | (1) Journey With Me 5/1, Very smart chaser. 11/2, failed to come on for his reappearance run when third of 6 in minor event chase at Windsor (22.2f, good to soft) 27 days ago. Certainly capable of playing a part if stepping up on that effort. Course bumper winner, won a Grade 2 last season, well below form both starts this term. |

SAINT SAM made all to easily land this race on testing ground 12 months ago and may repeat the trick. The selection has proved a great money-spinner for connections and gained another Grade 2 success in the Clonmel Oil Chase before filling the runner-up spot when reverting to hurdles last time. Stablemate Classic Getaway should benefit from a couple of outings last month including when runner-up to Appreciate It at Thurles, while Journey With Me impressed when taking a Fairyhouse Grade 2 over a similar trip last spring but has proved disappointing on both starts this term.

Having brought up a hurdles/chase hat-trick at Clonmel in November, SAINT SAM lost little caste in defeat when runner-up back over hurdles at Punchestown 46 days ago. He can quickly resume winning ways, with his stablemate Classic Getaway selected to provide the chief threat.

This race revolves around last year's winner SAINT SAM. He is preferred by Townend and may be able to dominate in this small field

8/1(-33%) | (4) Harry Des Ongrais 8/1, Useful hurdler. Fifth of 12 in novice chase at Fairyhouse (17.2f, soft, 40/1) on debut over fences 35 days ago, finishing with running left. That was his first run following almost 2 years off, so he's entitled to come on for it. Point winner, should strip fitter for his comeback run, this trip will suit, interesting. |

2nd (6) (11/1 -10%)Lombron |
11/1(-10%) | (6) Lombron 11/1, Useful chaser. 40/1, fourth of 12 in novice chase at Naas (20.1f, good to soft) on debut over fences 61 days ago, not knocked about. Paul Townend prefers Blizzard of Oz. Highly tried after maiden hurdle win, decent effort on chase debut, can't discount. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/10 +12%)Blizzard Of Oz |
11/10(+12%) | (1) Blizzard Of Oz 11/10, Useful chaser. 9/2, creditable third of 14 in C&D novice chase (soft) 23 days ago. This lightly-raced 7-y-o has to be high on the shortlist. Bumper and hurdles winner, solid form on chase debut, preferred by Townend, claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (12/1 0%)O'moore Park |
12/1(0%) | (8) O'moore Park 12/1, Useful hurdler. Running creditably when falling in novice chase (7/1) at Fairyhouse (21.5f, soft) 45 days ago, looking sure to be placed. Passed over by Paul Townend but will surely be involved in the finish, granted a clear round. Point winner, rated 135 over hurdles, final fence faller in both chases, watch for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (9/2 0%)What's Up Darling |
9/2(0%) | (11) What's Up Darling 9/2, Promising individual. Useful winner over hurdles. Creditable third of 15 in novice chase at Thurles (16f, good, 11/2) 9 days ago, sticking to task. Key player with improvement on the cards. 1-7 over hurdles; rated 137 over fences and has shaped well in all three chases, claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (20/1 -167%)Western Fold |
20/1(-167%) | (10) Western Fold 20/1, Useful hurdler. Last of 4 in handicap chase at Ayr (16.5f, soft, 6/1) 26 days ago. Yard may have a stronger chance here with What's Up Darling. 2-7 over hurdles, promise on chase debut, poor latest but capable of better, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (150/1 +0%)Make The Plan |
150/1(+0%) | (7) Make The Plan 150/1, Modest chaser. 150/1 and hooded for 1st time, sixth of 9 in novice chase at Down Royal (20.6f, good to soft) 51 days ago. Opposable. Ten race maiden, 0-2 in chases, beaten 16l latest at Down Royal, hard to make a case for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (16/1 -33%)Lisnagar Fortune |
16/1(-33%) | (5) Lisnagar Fortune 16/1, Useful hurdler. 10/1, tenth of 12 in novice chase at Fairyhouse (17.2f, soft) on debut over fences 35 days ago. Doesn't appear to be the stable No 1 judged on jockey bookings. Bumper and hurdles winner, jumped poorly on his chase debut, may need more experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (125/1 +17%)Three In A Row |
125/1(+17%) | (9) Three In A Row 125/1, Fair hurdler. Eleventh of 18 in novice chase (125/1) at Navan (20.7f, soft) on debut over fences 70 days ago. H'cap hurdle winner off 97 last year, 125-1 and well beaten on chase bow, unlikely winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (10/1 +29%)Dancingondaceiling |
10/1(+29%) | (2) Dancingondaceiling 10/1, Lightly-raced winner under Rules. Winner of a Gowran handicap hurdle (24.3f, heavy, 11/4) 23 days ago. Will need to improve a chunk for the switch to fences if he's to make a successful debut in this sphere. Chasing debutant, won a h'cap hurdle here over further on latest, place chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (200/1 -33%)Getaway King |
200/1(-33%) | (3) Getaway King 200/1, Twice-raced maiden under Rules. Readily passed over. Point winner, well beaten both starts under Rules, pulled up on latest, hard to fancy. |

A step up in trip now over fences may prove the key for WHAT'S UP DARLING. The Shirocco gelding has been knocking on the door since going chasing and ran another solid race when third to Special Cadeau at Thurles nine days ago. That was over two miles and the point-to-point winner may benefit from going another half mile. Blizzard Of Oz was third over course and distance last month and looks the pick of the Willie Mullins-trained quartet. He didn't seem to see out the trip last time but has to be respected. Lombron ran a promising race when fourth on his chase debut at Naas and may get a bit closer to stablemate Blizzard Of Oz now.

HARRY DES ONGRAIS shaped with plenty of encouragement when fifth on his chase debut over an inadequate trip at Fairyhouse, an effort that was all the more meritorious considering that it was his first outing on the back of a 21-month absence. He shades preference ahead of Blizzard of Oz and What's Up Darling.

Blizzard Of Oz looks the most likely of the Mullins' quartet but narrow preference is for the experienced WHAT'S UP DARLING

9/2(+63%) | (6) Noble Talent 9/2, Won a C&D maiden in November. Bit disappointing when only fifth of 9 in handicap chase at Punchestown (19.7f, soft, 7/2) since but capable of bouncing back. Won a C&D beginners in November, struggled on h'cap chase debut latest, needs more. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (28/1 -100%)Invictus Machin |
28/1(-100%) | (5) Invictus Machin 28/1, Latest win in chase at Kilbeggan in August. 14/1, eighth of 12 in handicap chase at Navan (24f, good to soft) since. Bounce back needed. Won over 25.5f at Kilbeggan in August, trip and ground concerns here, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (22/1 -83%)Dutch Schultz |
22/1(-83%) | (3) Dutch Schultz 22/1, 2 wins from 6 runs this season. 18/1, running well (disputing third) when unseating 2 out in handicap chase at Limerick (19.4f, soft) 49 days ago. 50/1(-400%) | (2) So Des Flos 50/1, Pulled up in handicap chase (20/1) at Cork (28f, good) on reappearance 104 days ago, dropping away before 4 out. Back down in trip. 2-10 over fences, won off 6lb lower at Fairyhouse, pulled up latest, probably best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (18/1 -300%)Better Times Ahead |
18/1(-300%) | (4) Better Times Ahead 18/1, Good second of 12 in handicap chase (4/1) at Punchestown (24.5f, soft) when last seen in May. Should go well if ready to roll after 9 months off. Touched off in listed h'cap at Punchestown in May, off since, may need this, check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (8) (10/1 +50%)Hands Of Gold |
10/1(+50%) | (8) Hands Of Gold 10/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, possibly amiss when pulled up in handicap hurdle (10/1) at Punchestown (23.5f, good to soft) in May. Off since. Switches from hurdles to chase. 0-4 in chases, pulled up when last seen, rated 6lb lower over fences but hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (9/1 +25%)Battle Of Ridgeway |
9/1(+25%) | (7) Battle Of Ridgeway 9/1, Off 9 months, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap chase at Fairyhouse (17.1f, soft, 10/1) 21 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Considered with that run behind him. Beginners chase winner, form tailed off last season, improve for comeback, chance if stays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (25/1 +62%)Petit King |
25/1(+62%) | (11) Petit King 25/1, Fairly useful winner at 19f over hurdles but yet to reach the same level over fences, finishing a distant sixth of 11 in handicap chase (33/1) at Naas (20.1f, heavy) 20 days ago. Winning hurdler, no impact yet over fences, beaten 140l on latest, can only watch. |

PRINCE ZALTAR ran well on his return from an absence at Punchestown last month and is on a nice weight here. The eight-year-old was progressive over hurdles last season and looks on an attractive mark over fences compared. He bumped into a nice sort, in Nine Graces, on his comeback run. Better Times Ahead is one of three JP McManus runners and could be a danger on his return. The Walk In The Park gelding was runner-up on his final two starts of last season, losing out narrowly at Punchestown when last seen. Midweek Voices was a good winner last month and has to be respected despite taking a rise in grade now.

BATTLE OF RIDGEWAY gets the vote to build on an encouraging comeback run at Fairyhouse last month. His stablemate Soloman Lane was ahead of him in third at Fairyhouse and should go well again. Baldur's Gate and the returning Better Times Ahead also make the shortlist.

PRINCE ZALTAR shaped with lots of promise after an absence at Punchestown last month and the booking of Darragh O'Keefe catches the eye

300/1(-100%) | (5) Ginny Weasley 300/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Last of 11 in bumper (400/1) at Navan (15.7f, heavy) 6 days ago. Big prices and well beaten in all three bumpers, hard to make a case for. |

10th (9) (9/2 -64%)Kenisa Sport |
9/2(-64%) | (9) Kenisa Sport 9/2, £85,000 buy after finishing runner-up on her completed starts in points. Her top trainer has a good record in this race. Likely to have a big say. Bought for 85,000GBP after point second at Boulta for Colin Bowe, top yard, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (8/1 +20%)Miss Penny Copper |
8/1(+20%) | (10) Miss Penny Copper 8/1, Once-raced maiden. Fifth of 16 in bumper at Cork (16f, soft, 12/1) on NH debut 29 days ago. Point winner, promise on return from a break in a Cork bumper last month, place claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (150/1 -127%)Indigo Mist |
150/1(-127%) | (6) Indigo Mist 150/1, Once-raced maiden. Last of 11 in bumper at Limerick (16.4f, soft, 33/1) on NH debut. Off 8 months. First run for yard after leaving John F. Gleeson. 33-1 and tailed off on debut in May, best watched on return from 261 days off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (2/1 -33%)Introversio |
2/1(-33%) | (7) Introversio 2/1, Promising type. 1/2, said to have returned lame when fourth of 6 in bumper at Punchestown (16.4f, soft) on NH debut 33 days ago. Open to improvement for top stable. Top yard, beaten at short odds on debut but reportedly pulled a muscle behind, risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (80/1 -60%)Danielle D |
80/1(-60%) | (3) Danielle D 80/1, Twice-raced maiden. First run since leaving T. Hogan when seventh of 12 in bumper at Naas (18.7f, heavy, 66/1) 20 days ago. Promise on debut for former yard, well beaten on debut for this stable, others more likely. |

INTROVERSIO was beaten at a short price on her debut at Punchestown last month and may be able to make amends now. The Vadamos filly made the running before fading a touch late on to finish fourth behind Forceonmyown. With that run under her belt she can step forward now. Gordon Elliott is represented by point-to-point recruit Kenisa Sport and she has to be respected. The No Risk At All filly was runner-up between the flags at Boulta in December. Champagne Venture was a solid third at Punchestown on New Year's Eve and is another contender.

The fact that INTROVERSIO went off at 1/2 on debut suggests she's well regarded by the Willie Mullins team and she's given another chance. Gordon Elliott has won this race 3 times since 2019 and his point recruit Kenisa Sport rates an obvious danger. Gavin Cromwell newcomer Doing It In Style would also enter the reckoning if the betting suggests she's fancied.

Preference is for CHAMPAGNE VENTURE who shaped with promise behind the subsequent Grade 2 winner Bambino Fever at Punchestown last time
Ths is the racecard key.
