1st (4) (10/11 +17%)Neolithic |
10/11(+17%) | (4) Neolithic 10/11, Good effort up in trip not quite getting home on heavy ground when 2l third in Gladness Stakes (Listed) at The Curragh most recent run; trainer in form; stays 7f, acts on heavy but better ground may be preferable; the one to beat. 6f winner at two, gave a lively display in the Gladness, sets a high standard here. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (13/2 -86%)Greek Mythology |
13/2(-86%) | (2) Greek Mythology 13/2, Quickened best when 3 1/4l winner in an auction race at Dundalk on debut; top course trainer; effective 7f, acts on AW; athletic type, showed plenty of speed debut, can rate more highly. Debut winner over this trip at Dundalk in December, can continue to pay his way. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (3/1 -9%)Controlled |
3/1(-9%) | (1) Controlled 3/1, Probably improved a fraction in cheekpieces when second beaten a head in a handicap at Naas latest; effective 5-7f, acts on soft; smart. Beaten only a head in the Madrid Handicap, 10lb behind Neolithic on official figures. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/2 +44%)Morehampton |
9/2(+44%) | (3) Morehampton 9/2, Struggled beaten 7l in a nursery at Naas last time; top course jockey; effective 7f, breeding suggests he'll get 1m, acts on soft and good; others preferred. C&D maiden winner, faces a tough task against Controlled and Neolithic at these weights. |

On the face of it, NEOLITHIC ran in the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh as a pacemaker but the Sioux Nation colt outran his odds, and high-profile stablemate Albert Einstein, to finish a creditable third in a strong field. He runs over the same trip and ground conditions are likely to be fairly similar so, even if his new mark may flatter him a little, he is very much the one to beat. Controlled won a 5f maiden last year for Aidan O'Brien and got this trip well when a battling second to a well-regarded winner in the Madrid Handicap at Naas. Greek Mythology readily beat two previous winners on the all-weather in December and looks a nice prospect.

In contrast to his high-profile stablemate Albert Einstein, NEOLITHIC enhanced his reputation in the Gladness and looks the part here

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (14) (22/1 +21%)Windsor Lily |
22/1(+21%) | (14) Windsor Lily 22/1, Improved from debut despite struggling to go the pace beaten 2 1/4l in a maiden at Dundalk last time; effective 6f, bit further may suit, acts on AW; probably a little to come. Not beaten far on second Dundalk start over 6f; needs loads of improvement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (25/1 +0%)Sweet Baby Zou |
25/1(+0%) | (12) Sweet Baby Zou 25/1, Showed little after getting behind early well beaten in an auction race at Navan only start; top course trainer; probably stay 10f; yet to show any measurable form. Beaten 13l in a 1m2f Navan maiden on recent debut; this trip may suit better. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (7/1 +18%)Kilmac Air |
7/1(+18%) | (11) Kilmac Air 7/1, 50,000 euros Dandy Man filly; full-sister to Elliott, fair at 5f as 2yo; dam smart at 6f at 2yo; trainer in form. Comes from a speedy family though dam stayed 1m; worth a market check. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (50/1 -25%)Oh I Do Declare |
50/1(-25%) | (7) Oh I Do Declare 50/1, Never figured in good race well beaten in a maiden at Listowel only start; plenty more needed. Beaten a long way in testing ground at Listowel last September; best watched today. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (1) (80/1 -60%)Absoluteassignment |
80/1(-60%) | (1) Absoluteassignment 80/1, Inns Of Court gelding; brother to Runninsonofagun, 1m 2yo winner; dam unraced half-sister to 2yo winners; market best guide to chance. Related to winners but likely to improve for this. |

HASSANIYA was quietly fancied on his reappearance at the Curragh and showed that the market support was well founded when a strong-travelling fourth in a big-field contest over a mile. The third has won since and Michael O'Callaghan's runner shouldn't be inconvenienced by dropping back a furlong. Testing ground isn't a concern and a wide draw might not be either, given that the runners may well come stands side in the home straight. Bobby Mcgee has a mark of 81 after some solid runs last term, but has raced solely on a sound surface so far. Harmani was a good second over 6f on soft ground last year, while Kilmac Air may fare best of the newcomers.

With a fine run under his girth last time in a decent Curragh maiden, HASSANIYA can improve enough to take this even with a wide draw.

1st (10) (25/1 -14%)Survivor's Code |
25/1(-14%) | (10) Survivor's Code 25/1, Did not stay when tongue-tied over 10f on heavy ground, finishing down the field in a handicap at Navan last time. Has form at 7f on heavy, some stamina in pedigree, and a fair mark. Two 7f nursery outings were respectable, appeared not to stay 1m2f on reappearance. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/2 +69%)Monocle Rocket |
11/2(+69%) | (7) Monocle Rocket 11/2, Never involved when down the field in a maiden at Down Royal on his most recent run. Has a top course jockey booked and is returning from a long layoff. Ran three times at two, twice finished last, not a bad run on middle start, new yard now. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (10/1 -122%)Cisterna |
10/1(-122%) | (4) Cisterna 10/1, Ran about to form when beaten 5l in a handicap at Naas last time. Effective over 6f and acts on soft and good ground, but a longer trip is not certain to suit and may need shorter. Creditable fifth over 5f at Naas on latest, rider deserts him to partner Aurora Mist. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (11/2 +61%)Nephin Mountain |
11/2(+61%) | (8) Nephin Mountain 11/2, Made a lot of use of when beaten 9l in a maiden at Leopardstown last time. Trainer is in form and the horse is returning from a long layoff. Not an obvious contender based on three turf outings at two, trainer also has top weight. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (9/1 -38%)Andosky |
9/1(-38%) | (1) Andosky 9/1, Slowly away when beaten 10l in a nursery at Navan in August; trainer in form. Effective over 6/7f and acts on yielding and good ground; generally consistent but may need the run. Fair fifth in a C&D maiden last July, best effort when second in a 6f Sligo nursery. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (14/1 -115%)Beau Army |
14/1(-115%) | (11) Beau Army 14/1, Won by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Dundalk three starts ago. Was a bit below form for no obvious reason last time; effective over 6/7f but this mark may prove testing. Winner of two low-grade handicaps at Dundalk, limited turf experience early in career. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (4/1 +0%)Aurora Mist |
4/1(+0%) | (3) Aurora Mist 4/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 5l, in a nursery at Galway last time. Effective over 6/7f and acts on heavy and good ground; looks well handicapped on this occasion. Good run on heavy at Galway on final 2yo start, stable's excellent current form is a plus. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (9/2 +10%)Unfamiliar |
9/2(+10%) | (6) Unfamiliar 9/2, Put in a fair effort after a tardy start when beaten 5l in a handicap at Naas last time. Effective over 6-8f and acts on soft ground; looks limited but the current mark reflects that. Stayed on in mid-field over 6f on handicap/turf debut at Naas, may do better now. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (5/1 +17%)Dream And Believe |
5/1(+17%) | (2) Dream And Believe 5/1, Ran about to form when beaten 4l in a handicap at Dundalk last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time. Breeding suggests 7/8f should suit and may do better now stepped up in trip. Has finished seventh in two sprint handicaps, not beaten far but needs to find extra. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (28/1 +44%)Lilo Pelekai |
28/1(+44%) | (9) Lilo Pelekai 28/1, Ran to a poor level when down the field in a nursery at Dundalk on her most recent start. Has no really measurable form and is hard to fancy on what has been shown. Weak form in maidens, finished in front of only one rival in two nursery starts. |

With the benefit of a previous run in handicap company, UNFAMILIAR can make the most of that experience. Mid-division at Naas last month, the Kevin Smith-trained filly ran against her elders over a shorter trip and in a higher grade so she should find this easier. Having taken time to warm into the race, the daughter of Phoenix Of Spain was doing her best work at the finish and better can be expected. A solid performer in nurseries last term, Aurora Mist has to be respected for the in-form Andrew Slattery yard. Believe Believe would be of definite interest if strong in the market.

Andy Slattery has his team in super form and can keep up the good work with AURORA MIST who ended last season with a good nursery run

1st (6) (5/4 +0%)Sinmara |
5/4(+0%) | (6) Sinmara 5/4, Solid debut effort third beaten 4l in a maiden at The Curragh in October; should be effective 8-10f; top course trainer; threat. Promising third behind two Aidan O'Brien-trained fillies on debut, strong contender. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/4 +56%)Rayzera |
7/4(+56%) | (3) Rayzera 7/4, Similar effort to debut when beaten 5l in a maiden at Cork second start; top course jockey; open to improvement and a contender. Fair fifth of 16 over this trip at Cork, might come into his own over a bit further. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (40/1 -122%)Croi Gra |
40/1(-122%) | (2) Croi Gra 40/1, Alkumait filly; half-sister to Holiday Magic, smart at 9f; hooded on debut; looks an unlikely winner. Alkumait half-sister to four winners with a very varied profile, hooded for debut. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (22/1 -38%)Remember That |
22/1(-38%) | (4) Remember That 22/1, Fair effort despite being last when beaten 6l in a maiden at Galway last time; effective 7f, should improve. Half-sister to the top-class Rip Van Winkle, needs to step up on her juvenile form. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (7/2 -100%)Wedding |
7/2(-100%) | (8) Wedding 7/2, 350,000 euros No Nay Never filly; full-sister to Broadhurst, very smart from 10f to 12f; dam smart at 10f; top trainer; likely to go close. E350,000 yearling, No Nay Never filly is a sister to two winners, unlikely to be far away. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (33/1 0%)Valentina's Grace |
33/1(0%) | (7) Valentina's Grace 33/1, Moderate debut effort beaten 9l in a maiden at Dundalk; mile should suit but bit to find. Slowly away and always behind on only Dundalk start, has changed stable, best watched. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (33/1 +0%)Retro Gal |
33/1(+0%) | (5) Retro Gal 33/1, Similar form to debut well beaten in a maiden at Dundalk latest; should be effective around 7/8f+; type to rate more highly. Well beaten over C&D on debut at this venue, failed to improve in a 1m Dundalk maiden. |

The Joseph O'Brien-trained SINMARA can make a winning reappearance. Third on her introduction at the Curragh in October, the daughter of Kingman stayed on nicely and given that she had been up with the pace throughout, it was a decent effort in the circumstances. Her stable has started the new season in fine form and this is a decent opportunity. Fifth on both starts at two, the Johnny Murtagh-trained Rayzera looks the main threat. Having landed a similar race at the Curragh recently, Murtagh is another trainer who has hit the ground running. Ballydoyle newcomer Wedding doesn't hold any fancy entries, but has to be respected given her connections.

Joseph O'Brien's runner SINMARA was third behind two Aidan O'Brien-trained fillies on her debut and can make that experience count

1st (4) (6/1 +0%)Clonbun |
6/1(+0%) | (4) Clonbun 6/1, Beaten 4 1/4l in an auction race at Dundalk last time; blinkers first time; top course jockey; form is questionable but seems to be going the right way. Possibly flattered by an official rating (68) that gives him a fair chance in theory. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (18/5 -200%)Coincidental Glory |
18/5(-200%) | (1) Coincidental Glory 18/5, Yard won this last year; head high and not the most willing but trip suited and ran to best when winning a nursery at Dundalk by a head last time; effective 6/7f, acts on good and AW; consistent if a little unenthusiastic at times. Signed off for 2025 with a Dundalk win after several promising efforts, good chance here. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (28/1 -27%)Femme Beauty |
28/1(-27%) | (6) Femme Beauty 28/1, Ground probably too testing down the field in a handicap at Navan on reappearance; effective 6-8f, acts on good; needs improvement. Regressive in a busy juvenile campaign, down the field on seasonal debut, no appeal. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (6/1 +67%)Balance Of Trade |
6/1(+67%) | (9) Balance Of Trade 6/1, Appeared not to stay 10f down the field in a handicap at Navan on reappearance; despite that had looked in need of further than 7f so this may be a fraction sharp. Fair fourth over 7f at this venue in a nursery, appeared not to stay 1m2f at Navan. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (11/4 +39%)Green Testimony |
11/4(+39%) | (5) Green Testimony 11/4, Probably needed the run beaten 6l in a maiden at Dundalk on seasonal debut; top course trainer; yet to show any reliable form. Ran in two 7f turf maidens at two, should be better for a run in a 6f maiden at Dundalk. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (5/1 +38%)Captive Beauty |
5/1(+38%) | (3) Captive Beauty 5/1, Beaten 7l in an auction race at Cork on debut; tongue-tie first time; open to improvement. Failed to make much impression over 6f at Cork on only start at two, open to improvement. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (8/1 +0%)Kactus Jack |
8/1(+0%) | (7) Kactus Jack 8/1, Comfortably held in a handicap at Dundalk last time; effective 7f, acts on yielding and AW; disappointing last few starts after promise on 2yo debut. Can be given a chance on the form of his fourth in a claimer on AW on penultimate start. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (18/1 +55%)Areyousure |
18/1(+55%) | (2) Areyousure 18/1, Down the field in a maiden at The Curragh last time and yet to show any accurately measurable form. Has been given a modest handicap rating after three starts, up against it in this company. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (16/1 -45%)Incredible Army |
16/1(-45%) | (8) Incredible Army 16/1, Wide trip but didn't run on and looked ungenuine second time in blinkers down the field in a handicap at Dundalk most recent start; effective 6f, probably stay 7f, acts on AW; capable but temperament a real problem. Won a three-runner 6f race at Dundalk in February, modest overall form on AW, turf debut. |

Off the mark at Dundalk in December, COINCIDENTAL GLORY can follow up. Placed twice on turf last season, the Ado McGuinness-trained gelding is unproven on ground this testing, but that comment applies to the majority of these. With an official rating of 77, the son of Cotai Glory sets the standard. With Sam Coen taking off a valuable 5lb, he looks very much the horse to beat. Kactus Jack has shaped well enough on five starts to date to suggest he can get involved at this level, and he is one of those best treated at the weights. Clonbun needs to improve, but shouldn't be discounted with first-time blinkers applied.

Slight preference is for GREEN TESTIMONY who kept good company in maidens last year and has a talented 7lb claimer aboard

12/1(-50%) | (3) Sindria 12/1, Ran well though looked like a step up in trip would suit when fourth beaten 5l in a handicap at Roscommon (7.5f) latest; effective 7-8f, suited by cut; maiden win working out very well. Not a bad run at Roscommon when last seen and can be involved if ready on return. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (15/2 +32%)Greydreambeliever |
15/2(+32%) | (7) Greydreambeliever 15/2, Ran to form beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Newmarket in October; effective 6/7f, acts on any; may need the run. Bought for 30,000gns at the sales; looks the yard's selected runner so watch the market. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (15/2 +17%)Spanish Temptress |
15/2(+17%) | (5) Spanish Temptress 15/2, Close to form off a break comfortably held in a handicap at The Curragh last time; effective 7/8f, likes soft, acts on good; progressive last term and entitled to come on from reappearance. Struggled last twice having shot up the handicap and ideally needs to drop back down a bit. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (5/1 -11%)Never Loose |
5/1(-11%) | (1) Never Loose 5/1, Nice effort on debut when a 4l winner in a maiden at Galway; effective 7f, acts on heavy; open to marked improvement. Galway maiden winner over this trip; ground will be fine; can be a player on return. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (9/1 +18%)Great Mover |
9/1(+18%) | (6) Great Mover 9/1, Probably needed the run down the field in Irish Lincolnshire at The Curragh most recent run; effective 7-10f, suited by cut, acts on good; progressive last term and may bounce back. Was out of the handicap when well beaten in the Irish Lincoln; this is more suitable. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (11/1 +8%)Fast Tara |
11/1(+8%) | (4) Fast Tara 11/1, Ran about to form down the field in a handicap at The Curragh in November; effective 7/8f, suited by cut; off a break but mark looks fair. Excused a below par run when last seen; should be competitive if near her best on return. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

40/1(-21%) | (13) Minaun View 40/1, Disappointing down the field in a claimer at Dundalk most recent start; effective 7/8f, acts on yielding and AW; generally consistent, could be well treated back in a handicap but risky. ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(-18%) | (10) Rocket Robyn 33/1, May have needed the race well beaten in a maiden at The Curragh latest; effective 7-9f, acts with give; should bounce back. Second in a 1m1.5f maiden here last autumn; below that level twice since; needs her best. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (16) (66/1 -100%)Think About It |
66/1(-100%) | (16) Think About It 66/1, Below form switched to AW beaten 8 1/4l in a maiden at Dundalk last time; effective 1m, acts on heavy, good and AW; bit to prove after two poor runs. Soundly beaten at Dundalk on debut for this yard; others preferred. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (3/1 +14%)Electric Beauty |
3/1(+14%) | (9) Electric Beauty 3/1, Ran to form second beaten a neck off 72 last time, 5lb higher here; effective 7-9f, acts on heavy, good and AW; came clear with winner who has franked form last time. Just denied at Curragh last time; 5lb rise demands more but has to be taken seriously. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (15) (50/1 -150%)Lady Odette |
50/1(-150%) | (15) Lady Odette 50/1, Cheekpieces tried, ran as if something amiss when last seen at Kempton in June; stays 11f, acts on AW; off a long absence and retained ability to prove. Second in a 1m3f Southwell novice in March last year; poor when last seen; best watched. |

15th (12) (33/1 +0%)Ardeur |
33/1(+0%) | (12) Ardeur 33/1, Never involved down the field in a handicap at The Curragh most recent start; stayed 10f in France; plenty to prove. Below form over various trips for this yard last autumn; others preferred. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (2) (9/1 +36%)Ob La Di |
9/1(+36%) | (2) Ob La Di 9/1, Probably flattered by rating down the field in Finale Stakes (Listed) at The Curragh most recent start; better judged on handicap form; effective 10-12f, acts on good and yielding, ran well on heavy debut; fair mark back in a handicap. Won over 1m2f at Naas last August; not as good since; will probably find this trip sharp. |

Just touched off at the Curragh, ELECTRIC BEAUTY can gain compensation. A winner at that track on her previous start, the Michael Mulvany-trained filly went down narrowly on her most recent appearance. With the gelding who beat her again running a big race in stronger company subsequently, the four-year-old should be a leading contender back against her own sex. C&D winner Thrifty Of Digby is drawn out wide, but overcame a similar berth when scoring here in September and Jessica Harrington's mare will have no issues with testing conditions. Fast Tara has yet to add to her maiden win, but has run some solid races in defeat and appears well handicapped.

Though NEVER LOOSE lacks the experience of most of these, the debut Galway maiden winner last autumn has more scope to improve.

10th (14) (14/1 -17%)Ethereal Star |

9/2(+0%) | (7) Ohmali 9/2, Ran about to form beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at The Curragh in October; in good form prior; effective 7-10f, acts on heavy and good; maiden but consistent and chance if fit enough. Won over 1m at this track last September; not as good up 6lb next time; needs more. |

33/1(-65%) | (3) Bobby Kirova 33/1, Poor effort first time on heavy ground down the field in a maiden at The Curragh in November; effective 10-12f, acts on soft; needs to bounce back. Handicap/seasonal debut for a new yard; worth a market look. |

MATT CONNOR won twice on the Flat for Henry de Bromhead and has taken well to hurdles for current connections, also scoring twice. He was particularly impressive on testing ground at Naas last time and now reverts to the level off an attractive mark, with the booking of Colin Keane an added bonus. Ohmali rates a threat having won over a mile here on heavy ground last autumn, while Shahada Ace also struck on her penultimate start and hails from a yard in great form. Lough Leane won six times on the all-weather for David Simcock and certainly won't lack for fitness having shaped well on both outings at the Curragh this season.

In great fettle when winning over hurdles last time, MATT CONNOR can double up back on the Flat with Colin Keane a notable booking.

ZANAHIYR is a smart sort over hurdles and fences and recorded a valuable win in the American Grand National at Far Hills last October. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding reappears after a winter break and had Light Up The Dark behind when successful on his last Flat start over an extended 2m1f at Bellewstown. Not Just Any Eagle has proved a good servant to connections, winning five times, while Nancee Spain relished soft ground when a wide-margin winner at Roscommon on her penultimate start and may benefit from her reappearance at the Curragh last month. Slurricane and Plunkett Street are dual-purpose performers suited by some ease in the ground.

ZANAHIYR is 5lb higher than when last winning on the Flat at Bellewstown last August but has a good 5lb claimer aboard and can win.
Ths is the racecard key.
