|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/1 -47%)Queens Fury |
11/1(-47%) | (7) Queens Fury 11/1, Weak in the market comfortably held in a 3yo race at Dundalk last time; beat next time out winner in maiden previously; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; bit to find Quite exposed filly, vulnerable to several potential improvers here. |

NANCY J is a filly with plenty of potential. She won her maiden on debut on fast ground over C&D last August and wasn't beaten far into fifth in Listed class at Leopardstown the following month. She didn't have the clearest route when occupying the same place in the Goffs 500 at the Curragh, but holds some notable entries. Justify filly Ethical Code won on debut at Dundalk in October and is one to look forward to on turf, while Mathan is race fit after a ready success in a Curragh maiden at the end of last month which brings him into the equation. Queens Fury has plenty of form in the book behind classy types and is nicely weighted with Sam Coen's claim.

Her Listed run is the best form on offer and the well entered up NANCY J is taken to make a winning return

80/1(-142%) | (13) Magnolia Drive 80/1, Slowly away down the field in an auction race at Dundalk most recent; generally out of form; top course trainer; usually held up; plenty more needed and may want further Awaiting a handicap mark after three maiden runs; others preferred. |

NO SUCH THING caught a tartar in Leopardstown, but banked another placed finish in second and may get his turn. He has now been placed in three of his four races and brings a level of consistency to the contest. Trip and ground are fine, and he gets first-time blinkers. Aston Value has a tricky draw, but he took third in a couple of maidens at Cork and the Curragh last season, and the form has been franked. Dahoma looks the pick of Joseph O'Brien's five runners on jockey bookings and there should be more to come after a fifth place in Bellewstown. Hopes Are High, who finished third on his sole start at Dundalk, shouldn't be ruled out on this switch to turf.

Blitzed by a smart sort at Leopardstown last month, NO SUCH THING can go one better here now dropped back in trip with blinkers fitted

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (150/1 -127%)Prime Sign |
150/1(-127%) | (4) Prime Sign 150/1, Ground probably too testing down the field in a maiden over 7f at Curragh most recent; should come on for that; showed promise on AW prior; up in trip; bit to find Beaten 4l in AW maiden over 1m; no show in soft-ground Curragh maiden last month. |

DE NOVO could step forward from a debut fourth at Dundalk in November. The Lope De Vega filly kept on over 7f that day and a step up in trip on turf can see her go well for Joseph O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle. Murkala and Joyful Princess are both rated 82 with the former holding a fitness advantage courtesy of a third place in a Curragh maiden last month. Dermot Weld takes the wraps off Ghaiyyath filly Harana, while Donnacha O'Brien introduces Churchill filly True Friend and both should be given a market check. Kodi's Angel and De Novo's stablemate, Sissi, will have their supporters.

Runner-up in two good-ground maidens in the autumn, JOYFUL PRINCESS holds solid claims and gets the vote in a useful-looking maiden

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (16/1 -60%)Ribean |
16/1(-60%) | (4) Ribean 16/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 9l in a maiden over 7f at Cork last time where had run of race from front; top course trainer; up in trip; plenty more needed Recent Cork run was a bit more encouraging; needs to find more though. |

CHARANDA could do some damage in this claimer. It is a long way from a Curragh Group 3 that she raced in last August to this grade and jockey Nicola Burns is proving to be good value for her 7lb claim. The 74-rated Reponse Finale has been running in decent maidens and was just pipped in second at Down Royal last September, so she is respected. Weegeebear can be tardy from the gates, but did win a claimer on his penultimate start in Dundalk. Connections reach for a visor on him. Live Like The Boss doesn't lack breeding and first-time cheekpieces are tried in a bid to spark improvement, while Voice Of Northeast isn't out of it.

Her Down Royal maiden second last year makes REPONSE FINALE (nap) the one to beat now dropped in trip

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (25/1 +0%)Storm Averted |
25/1(+0%) | (7) Storm Averted 25/1, Down the field in a handicap over 7f at Naas most recent; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; inconsistent; best efforts on testing ground; best watched Needs to settle better and barely stays this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (15/2 +58%)Super Exceed |
15/2(+58%) | (8) Super Exceed 15/2, Raced freely beaten 5l in a handicap at Dundalk last time; generally out of form since 1m maiden win; unproven on fast ground; needs to improve back from break Underwhelming so far in handicaps; hood now discarded on seasonal return. |

PINK OXALIS has shown useful form on the all-weather this winter and is likely to appreciate today's drying turf conditions. Her Dundalk form has been consistently useful and having won comfortably in March on her second attempt over today's distance, should get involved in this competitive handicap. Neo Smart is ground-versatile and is 1lb ahead of the handicapper under her fixed penalty for winning at the Curragh four days ago, although both her wins have come over seven furlongs. Mallavelly won well on her debut for new connections at Dundalk recently and is capable of another decent showing.

It may pay to keep following recent Dundalk maiden winner MALLAVELLY back in handicap company

17th (3) (12/1 -50%)Hasten Slowly |
12/1(-50%) | (3) Hasten Slowly 12/1, Improved again when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 113 over 2m at Punchestown penultimate start; well beaten latest; down in trip; multiple hurdles and flat winner; bit more needed Did well under both codes last year; trip might be too short but ground will suit. |

GALLO DELL CIELO had been running consistently well at Dundalk during the winter season and while he drops in distance on his return to turf, has winning form over today's course-and-distance. Last October's C&D success came on testing ground but having shown good ability on the all-weather, should have no issues returning to a fast turf surface. Rampage wasn't beaten far on his most recent runs and is ideally suited by this distance, although mightn't want fast ground. Course specialist Summer Snow tried 1m2f for the first time at Navan recently and would prefer a shorter trip.

Course winner GALLO DE DEL CIELO ran well on his return to action at Dundalk last month and may be able to overcome a wide draw

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (28/1 -155%)Los Toldos |
28/1(-155%) | (3) Los Toldos 28/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Cork last time; 12f AW winner in UK: not proven trip; bit more needed 1m4f AW winner in Britain; fifth in Cork maiden hurdle on stable debut; first handicap. |

MOLLY HALL is perfectly suited by today's good ground and this distance and should be ready on her seasonal reappearance. The selection finished third to Not Just Any Eagle at Tipperary last August and is now 5lb worse off but is very much proven at this distance, in contrast to her rival whose best form is over slightly shorter distances. Admittedly Not Just Any Eagle has proven race-fitness and will be well suited to fast ground. Five-time winner Autocrat ran very consistently at Dundalk last winter-series but his turf form isn't as strong, and he is held by the selection on Clonmel form last September.

The locally-trained SIOUX EAGLE shaped well a couple of times last summer and should have a handicap in him off this mark
Ths is the racecard key.
