1st (2) (1/5 +40%)Mydaddypaddy |
1/5(+40%) | (2) Mydaddypaddy 1/5, The yard won this last year. Very impressive debut, never coming off the bridle, when winning a maiden hurdle at Carlisle over 2m1f by 4 1/2l last time. Effective over 2m and acts on soft and good to soft ground; has much more to come for a top yard and could be classy. Won as he liked in a bumper at Huntingdon and a 2m1f maiden hurdle on soft at Carlisle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/2 +8%)Kosac D'oudairies |
11/2(+8%) | (1) Kosac D'oudairies 11/2, Game and improved on bumper form for a very promising hurdle debut when winning a novice hurdle at Lingfield by 2 1/2l last time. The trainer is in form. Effective over 2m and acts on heavy and good to soft ground; likely to progress further over hurdles. Point, bumper (on heavy) and Lingfield novice hurdle winner (good to soft). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (12/1 -100%)Smoke Trail |
12/1(-100%) | (3) Smoke Trail 12/1, Very promising debut when winning a maiden hurdle at Kelso by 2 1/2l last time. Effective over 2m and acts on good to soft ground; debut form has been franked and there should be more to come, likely to stay a bit further in time. Won an Irish point and made all in 14-runner maiden hurdle at Kelso (2m, good to soft). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

It is very hard to oppose MYDADDYPADDY, who confirmed the promise of his debut bumper success when winning impressively on his hurdling bow at Carlisle last month. With the prospect of more to come, Dan Skelton's gelding can maintain his unbeaten record. That said, both Smoke Trail and Kosac D'oudairies have also displayed plenty of ability and cannot be discounted, with the former just being the pick of the pair.

All could have bright futures but MYDADDYPADDY seems to stand out in terms of form and the impression he's made, including on soft.

1st (4) (5/2 +17%)Small Town Hero |
5/2(+17%) | (4) Small Town Hero 5/2, Scored by 5 1/2l off 77 at Downpatrick on his penultimate start; made too much use of when fourth beaten 9 1/4l off 93 last time; enjoys making the running and looks progressive as a stayer. 4-5 for Irish stable; warrants plenty of respect despite having a higher British mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (13/8 +46%)La Higuera |
13/8(+46%) | (8) La Higuera 13/8, Returned to form showing a willing attitude when beaten 4l off 92 at Ffos Las last time; effective from 2m3f to 3m, acts on soft and good, and could have more to offer in handicaps. Rallying third on handicap debut at Ffos Las (3m, soft) was his best effort over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (28/1 -40%)Vroomoz Eile |
28/1(-40%) | (7) Vroomoz Eile 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Cartmel last time; soft ground hurdles winner last winter; returning from a break and has a bit to find. Has stamina to prove but a return to testing ground (after two runs on good) offers hope. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/2 -83%)Lets Mingle |
11/2(-83%) | (2) Lets Mingle 11/2, Ran to form up in trip on handicap debut, just tiring late when second beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Kelso; effective 2m-2m6f, acts on soft and good; consistent, with latest form franked, and remains competitive. Good second when front-running on handicap debut at Kelso (extended 2m6f, good) in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (14/1 -40%)Theme Tune |
14/1(-40%) | (3) Theme Tune 14/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Ayr; effective at 3m, acts with cut, and needs to prove ability remains after a layoff. Plenty to prove despite falling in the weights and having a run under his belt this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (25/1 -79%)Milan Ac |
25/1(-79%) | (5) Milan Ac 25/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time. Showed promise over hurdles but mark looks on the stiff side. Pulled up in a handicap chase four weeks ago, having been absent for a year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (5/1 +0%)Piaff Bubbles |
5/1(+0%) | (6) Piaff Bubbles 5/1, Ran to form, just flattening out late when third beaten 14l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Hexham following a break and wind operation; this is his second run after the surgery; usually held up, best at 3m, acts with cut, consistent, and should come on for the latest effort. 3rd from off pace at Hexham was eyecatching return from wind surgery and nine months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LETS MINGLE bumped into a well-handicapped rival when finishing second on her return at Kelso in October and the five-year-old could go one better here, despite a 2lb rise. The Irish-raider Small Town Hero has to be noted, although his winning run did come to an end at Punchestown last time, while Piaff Bubbles and La Higuera are the pick of the remainder.

Lets Mingle, Small Town Hero and Piaff Bubbles are major players but may lose out to LA HIGUERA.

1st (3) (15/8 +32%)Western Knight |
15/8(+32%) | (3) Western Knight 15/8, Outpaced and needed the run when fourth, beaten 29l, in a 3m novice chase at Exeter on chase debut. Trainer in form, effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, and should benefit from the reappearance. 2nd in 3m Gr2 novice hurdle last December but beaten 25l in Grade 1 and 29l on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/1 -25%)Maximilian |
5/1(-25%) | (2) Maximilian 5/1, Pulled up in a 3m handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time on his return from a long layoff. Grade 2 winner over hurdles who is the class angle on chase debut but needs to prove ability remains. Grade 1 second at Aintree in April 2023; pulled up this February on his only start since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (5/6 -15%)Just Ennemi |
5/6(-15%) | (1) Just Ennemi 5/6, Improved when winning a 4yo hurdle at Auteuil over 2m2f by 4 1/2l last time. Returns from a long absence and holds a minor chance with promise of more to come over fences but could do with some rain. 2-3 in French hurdle races; made £320,000 at the David Maxwell dispersal in October. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

All of these have questions to answer, so a chance can be taken with JUST ENNEMI. Harry Derham's charge was bought back from his former owner David Maxwell for 320,000 pounds in October, having displayed plenty of ability over hurdles in France. The lack of a recent run is a concern and that could help Western Knight's chances, although he was well beaten on his chasing bow at Exeter last month. Maximilian, second in a Grade 1 at Aintree in April 2023, was pulled up at Chepstow after a lengthy break in February but cannot be completely written off.

£320,000 kept JUST ENNEMI in the Derham yard, Maximilian has clearly the best hurdles form and Western Knight is considered too.

1st (5) (11/4 +45%)Western Monkey |
11/4(+45%) | (5) Western Monkey 11/4, Westerner gelding; successful on sole point start; yard can get them ready first time; likely type. Won comfortably in a maiden point (3m, soft) little more than three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 -33%)Sleedagh |
4/1(-33%) | (4) Sleedagh 4/1, Finished strongly on a promising debut when second beaten 2 1/4l in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Perth last time; effective at 2 1/2m, acts on soft; debut form franked and point form suggests a step up to 3m will suit. Second at Perth in a bumper and 2m4f maiden hurdle; 3m beckons strongly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (1/1 +0%)Inishcorker |
1/1(+0%) | (2) Inishcorker 1/1, Improved for debut experience when second beaten 2 1/4l in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time; effective at 2 1/2m, acts on soft; 3m point winner, that form has had knocks under rules but he's improving under rules. Gave the favourite plenty to think about at Ffos Las (2m4f, soft); the best form in this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (13/2 -30%)Kilbakanto |
13/2(-30%) | (3) Kilbakanto 13/2, Probably needed the race when fourth beaten 24l in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time; needs to improve. £100,000 buy after point win; 24l fourth at Uttoxeter; no shock if leaves that well behind. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (125/1 -279%)Bresiliant |
125/1(-279%) | (1) Bresiliant 125/1, Showed minor promise on debut when well beaten in a bumper over 2m at Chepstow on his only start; absent for a very lengthy period and difficult to fancy. It was in March 2022 when 16l fifth of eight in a Chepstow bumper (2m, good to soft; 15-2). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

INISHCORKER clearly benefited from his hurdles debut at Cheltenham when filling the runner-up spot at Ffos Las and the son of Jukebox Jury appeals as the type to take another step forward on this occasion. Sleedagh shaped as though the step up to 3m would bring about improvement when second at Perth in October, while recent point-to-point winner Western Monkey also commands respect.

The two who have done most are INISHCORKER and Sleedagh but Kilbakanto and Western Monkey cannot be comfortably ruled out.

1st (2) (11/4 +17%)Does He Know |
11/4(+17%) | (2) Does He Know 11/4, Below form when 39l third in a handicap chase at Cheltenham on latest start. Effective at 3m and handles soft and good ground, but appears below his peak despite going well fresh. Thrown in if judged even on the form shown on his first three outings last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (6/4 +8%)Dunboyne |
6/4(+8%) | (3) Dunboyne 6/4, Ran to form when 4 1/2l third in the Troytown Handicap Chase (Grade 3) over 3m at Navan last time. Suited by long distances and acts on any ground; Troytown form looks strong and should go close down in grade. Spectacular turnaround in fortunes for new yard and he looks in the mood for a bold show. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (16/1 -256%)Elvis Mail |
16/1(-256%) | (1) Elvis Mail 16/1, Ran to form back over hurdles, just tiring late after a break when beaten 8l in a 3m handicap hurdle at Ayr last time. Better in this sphere and considered a value selection on overall form. Off 1lb lower than for latest win (October 2024) he needs a close look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (6/1 +45%)Digby |
6/1(+45%) | (4) Digby 6/1, Ran to form but tired up the hill on more testing ground when comfortably held in the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle (Listed) over 2m4f at Naas last time. Remains well treated on earlier form, prefers good ground. Not so hot lately but respected given what he did on two forays from Ireland in April/June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (7/2 -5%)Ilikedwayurthinkin |
7/2(-5%) | (5) Ilikedwayurthinkin 7/2, Ran to form when suited by a positive ride down in trip at a stiff track, finishing 10l third in a 2m4f handicap chase at Carlisle last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3 1/2m and dropping back to a workable mark. Carlisle run on latest start was creditable considering it was over only 2m4f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

DOES HE KNOW has been given a chance by the handicapper with the 10-year-old dropped 6lb since the end of last season. Despite not winning during his last campaign, he still ran well on a couple of occasions and this may be the perfect opportunity to bounce back. Dunboyne produced a fine effort to finish third in the Troytown at Navan last month and has to be respected, despite being 3lb higher. Elvis Mail had a spin over hurdles at Ayr which should have put him spot on for this assignment.

This year's spectacular revival for DUNBOYNE (nap) may well be rewarded with another win. Cases can be made for all his rivals, though.

1st (11) (11/1 +31%)Lets Go To Vegas |
11/1(+31%) | (11) Lets Go To Vegas 11/1, Suited by the longer trip and ran to form when beaten 8l by a well-handicapped rival in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Ludlow last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m but likely to find this sharp enough on return from a layoff. Latest start (2m5f, soft) was her best form and she's 4lb lower today, but absent 665 days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/8 +51%)Knomorediamonds |
13/8(+51%) | (4) Knomorediamonds 13/8, Won a handicap by 57l off 104 over 2m4f at Hexham on his penultimate start. Effective from 2m to 2½m and acts on soft and good ground. Progressing after getting his head in front and looks well treated off an unchanged mark, so could make amends. Won by a street on penultimate start; unseated four out when leading on latest; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (11/10 +69%)Haarar |
11/10(+69%) | (10) Haarar 11/10, A bit free but ran to form back from a break when second, beaten 11l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Aintree last time. Effective at 2m, acts on soft and good to soft ground; consistent and should improve for that run. 2nd in this last year (soft; unraced on heavy); steps back up in trip with each-way claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (15/2 +25%)Blue Fin |
15/2(+25%) | (5) Blue Fin 15/2, Made a bit too much use of himself back from a break but was not disgraced when 16l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Carlisle. Effective at 2m and a consistent sort. Third in this last year; made a fair return seven weeks ago and has a competitive mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (12/1 -60%)Wolfspear |
12/1(-60%) | (9) Wolfspear 12/1, Had too much to do but returned to form down in trip when 4¼l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso last time. Effective at 2½m, handles any ground and is consistent. Pretty consistent with his minor honours this year; another place can't be ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (500/1 -658%)Baptism Of Fire |
500/1(-658%) | (2) Baptism Of Fire 500/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Wetherby last time when returning from a long layoff. Effective from 2½m to 3m but inconsistent, and needs to prove his ability remains after the break. First race since 2022 when pulled up at 150-1 in February, showing little. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KNOMOREDIAMONDS was travelling well on the front end when unseating his rider at Carlisle and the five-year-old, who returns to handicap company 11lb higher following an easy success at Hexham the time before, may well have more to offer. How About No outran his 66/1 odds when returning from a break at Carlisle and he is more than entitled to improve with that run under his belt. Gege Ville won over C&D after an absence last December and is likely to be competitive along with last year's runner-up Haarar.

Lightly raced 9yo GEGE VILLE will surely be ready to run well but Knomorediamonds is not passed over at all comfortably.

Two hurdle wins in the autumn; won Fairyhouse handicap (3m, heavy) on recent chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (6/4 +40%)Fat Harry |
6/4(+40%) | (8) Fat Harry 6/4, Travelled strongly and did it readily, improving under a positive ride to land a handicap by 5l off 94 at Newcastle last time; trainer in form; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; progressive and could complete a hat trick. 2-2 over fences; up another 7lb today but he was much too strong for his rivals last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/1 -110%)Jaipaletemps |
7/1(-110%) | (3) Jaipaletemps 7/1, Travelled well and idled slightly when landing a handicap by 3l off 101 over 2m3f at Ffos Las last time; effective at 2–2 1/2m and suited by plenty of cut; remains well treated on French form and could complete a hat trick. Won at Ffos Las under Rian Corcoran last two starts; travelled much the best last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (5/1 +38%)Carrigmoorna Rowan |
5/1(+38%) | (7) Carrigmoorna Rowan 5/1, Travelled well and improved to come a long way clear with the winner when beaten 3l off 100 at Huntingdon last time; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on good to soft; needs to build on that effort, unreliable overall. Back-to-form second in at Huntingdon 11 days ago on debut for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (17/2 -70%)Dangerous Touch |
17/2(-70%) | (1) Dangerous Touch 17/2, Bit free and needed the run on chase debut when fourth, beaten 17l in a handicap chase at Lingfield last time; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground; should improve for that reappearance. Well-beaten favourite on chase/seasonal debut three weeks ago but should build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (50/1 -52%)Lucky Lugger |
50/1(-52%) | (5) Lucky Lugger 50/1, Made too much use of when fourth, beaten 23l in a handicap chase over 2m at Ludlow last time; effective at 2m and may need some cut; inconsistent performer. May well be best in the mud but this is his first race beyond 2m under rules. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (50/1 -213%)Tom Creen |
50/1(-213%) | (4) Tom Creen 50/1, Had every chance but ran a bit below form when fourth, beaten 16l in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Sedgefield last time; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; generally consistent until latest run. Irish-trained 8yo, a maiden after 27 races including two British handicap chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (11/2 +50%)He Knows Better |
11/2(+50%) | (2) He Knows Better 11/2, Ran to form benefiting from a drop in grade when winning a maiden hurdle at Fontwell over 2m6f by 3 1/2l last time; absent for a very lengthy period; may have more to offer over fences so not dismissed if fit. Won 2m6f maiden hurdle at Fontwell; off 574 days since but should make a chaser. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The switch to fences appears to have improved FAT HARRY with a brace of victories at Sedgefield and Newcastle. The former success was boosted when the runner-up scored at Doncaster on Saturday and the eight-year-old doesn't appear to have reached his ceiling yet. Hitthehayson is 9lb higher following his chase debut success at Fairyhouse and looks set to play a leading role. Others for the shortlist include Jaipaletemps and He Knows Better.

Competitive. Preference is for this autumn's improvers FAT HARRY, Jaipaletemps and Hitthehayson.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
