14:30 Hereford (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LELANT, who is a previous C&D winner, was having his third run in pretty quick succession when he failed to complete a hat-trick last time out and could bounce back now he has been given more time. Chief Black Robe and Boys Of Wexford are also better than they managed to show on their latest starts and would have to be of interest if supported in the betting. Line Of Descent completes the shortlist.

Sean Bowen's mount LELANT (nap) was in excellent form in autumn (including C&D win) and a subsequent heavy-ground defeat is overlooked.

15:00 Hereford (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The Brickey Ranger was a surprise winner over C&D on his debut run for Sarah-Jane Davies but he did it well enough to suggest he can go close under a 7lb penalty. However, the booking of Sean Bowen for the ride on MCGRATH FROM CLUNE is a significant indicator of intent from his connections and this previous course-and-distance winner looks well placed to exploit a lenient current mark. Chestnut Pete and Blackijo Dagrostis are other strong contenders.

Chestnut Pete is respected in his follow up bid, but preference is for MCGRATH FROM CLUNE with Sean Bowen booked.

15:30 Hereford (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

L'aventara, a three-time point-to-point winner, is of high interest on her Rules debut and support in the betting would be dangerous to ignore, despite some reservations about this being an adequate test of stamina. However, KERNIE D'AIRY, who was pitched into a Listed bumper on her debut for Jamie Snowden, is equally intriguing and could be worth chancing. Having previously won a bumper in France, this 155,000-pound purchase can be expected to get better with experience. Johnny's Belle and Isabella Islay also warrant betting checks.

This can go to ISABELLA ISLAY who shaped well when third in a juvenile here last time and seems sure to take a step forward up in trip.

16:00 Hereford (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With most of these having questions to answer, it is very hard to oppose BEST NIGHT. David Pipe's mare returned to winning ways at Huntingdon a couple of weeks ago and a 4lb rise may not be enough to stop her from following up. Madame De Labrunie could prove to be the main threat based on her Taunton third two starts ago, while Arnie Moon is next best.

Best Night is feared off 4lb higher, but ARNIE MOON has shaped well of late and could do better now switched to handicaps.

16:30 Hereford (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Land Girl's Luck has been running consistently well in defeat and is likely to be in the mix once again. However, marginal preference is for REEL ORANGE, who showed much more when second on her stable debut at Exeter earlier in the month and she may have more to offer here. Others to note are Midnight Ginger, Broadway Honey and Border Gem.

The 4yo MISS CARBO has to be forgiven a disappointing handicap debut but she remains capable of better. Reel Orange is feared most.

17:05 Hereford (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Those with recent form do not set a high standard, but One Knight has to be respected on his return to action having won a Southwell bumper when last seen in December 2024. That said, a chance can be taken on LEGEND D'AIRY, who cost 48,000 euros as a store and is closely related to plenty of winners. Britway Belle completes the shortlist.

Legend D'Airy is respected on debut but ONE KNIGHT sets a good standard and looks the one to beat despite the absence.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
