|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (150/1 -127%)Guardami Ancora |
150/1(-127%) | (4) Guardami Ancora 150/1, Yard won this race last year. Outpaced and poor debut when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Stratford on only start. Has plenty to prove. Didn't jump with fluency when well held on hurdles debut at Stratford 12 days ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (200/1 -100%)El Arco |
200/1(-100%) | (2) El Arco 200/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Yet to show much and may require further than 2m in time. Beaten a long way on both hurdles starts at gigantic odds.. |

(9) (300/1 -100%)Skittles Be Lucky |
300/1(-100%) | (9) Skittles Be Lucky 300/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Worcester last time and has it all to prove. Showed little when pulled up on hurdles debut at Worcester last month.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point/bumper winner RACE TO BASE lost two places after the last to finish fifth on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter and would have learned a great deal from that experience. With Sam Twiston-Davies back on board, he looks the one to beat. Beggar's Nap only found one too good in a Southwell bumper in May and has to be respected in a first-time hood. Of the rest, Lord Cauvelliere makes the most appeal.

All of these have questions to answer to some extent but the best option is RACE TO BASE. Second choice is Lord Cauvelliere.

Promising second of six on stable/hurdles debut at Ludlow last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/8 -7%)Only One Blue |
15/8(-7%) | (2) Only One Blue 15/8, Green and made mistakes but produced a very promising hurdle debut when winning a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield over 2m1f by 2l last time; effective at 2m on good ground; the form of that win has been franked and she could defy her penalty. 150/1(-275%) | (7) Praying For Time 150/1, Stopped quickly and finished down the field in a 1m6f handicap at Salisbury most recently; returns from a short break and is hard to recommend on current form. Looked low-level Flat maiden (five races at 1m2f-1m6f); has it all to do on hurdles debut.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AFRICA CHARM made her way through the field to spring a 28/1 surprise at Stratford last month and could take a step forward from that effort. This is just her second start for the Henry Oliver stable and she could defy her penalty to complete a double. Only One Blue struck at the first time of asking in this sphere at Sedgefield and holds an obvious chance, while newcomer Ghost Dancing warrants a market check.

This looks to be a good opportunity for LOVE SONNET to go one better after finishing second last time. Ghost Dancing is next best.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/2 -29%)Followango |
9/2(-29%) | (3) Followango 9/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 5½l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m6f at Stratford last time; not fully exposed over fences; may be in contention again. Made a pleasing start to the campaign when second over hurdles at Stratford 12 days ago.. |

(5) (80/1 -100%)Emberscombe |
80/1(-100%) | (5) Emberscombe 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Worcester last time when returning from a break; point winner is difficult to recommend on rules form. Point winner but was pulled up on her return to regulation fences at Worcester in June.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Kit's Coty clearly benefitted from a wind operation when making a winning return to action at Ludlow last month and needs considering. Kosasiempre lurks on an appealing mark and is noted, but FOLLOWANGO gets the vote. Evan Williams' seven-year-old wasn't disgraced in fourth over 2m at Ffos Las two starts ago and may have lots more to offer on just her third chase start. This step up in distance could unlock the improvement required to strike.

This looks to be a good opportunity for KIT'S COTY (nap) to follow up her win at Ludlow last month. Followango is second choice.

7/5(+77%) | (3) Noble Park 7/5, Below form when stepped up in grade and finished down the field in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Punchestown most recently; good mark on hurdle form and likely has more to offer over fences. Ran some respectable races in defeat and has to be taken seriously on chasing debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/2(-17%) | (2) Jackpot Cash 7/2, Disappointing on hurdles return when comfortably held in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; well treated on his hurdle form but may be on a stiff mark after beating little in the spring. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (6/1 -118%)Delpotro |
6/1(-118%) | (1) Delpotro 6/1, Scored by 3l off a mark of 104 over 2m3f at Sedgefield on his penultimate start; ran to form when second, possibly going too freely in front, beaten 5l off 109 last time; handles varied ground and may still be well handicapped on French form. Goes well forcing the pace and made all at Sedgefield in May and September.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (10/1 +38%)The Magus |
10/1(+38%) | (6) The Magus 10/1, Needed the run when down the field in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; had been in good form beforehand and looks open to marked improvement. Makes chasing debut after pipe-opener over hurdles last month.. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (16/1 -220%)Mix Of Clover |
16/1(-220%) | (5) Mix Of Clover 16/1, Returned to form when winning a Stratford handicap by 4l off 102 last time; trainer in form; effective between 2m and 2½m on good ground and remains well treated on past efforts. Returned to winning ways back over fences at Stratford last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (40/1 -100%)Dark Soldier |
40/1(-100%) | (9) Dark Soldier 40/1, Raced prominently and improved but was comfortably held in a 2m novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; returns from a long absence and has something to find. Second in a point but low-level form over hurdles; chase and handicap debut.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MIX OF CLOVER appeared to have plenty in hand when winning over 2m5f at Stratford last month and the veteran merits the utmost respect off a 4lb higher mark. Delpotro only found one too good at Sedgefield last time, having won at the same venue previously, and he is likely to be in the mix once again, while Noble Park is next best.

The opposition will need to keep tabs on the free-running Delpotro but JACKPOT CASH is worth another chance.

15/2(+32%) | (4) Man Of The Sea 15/2, Won by 3/4l off 55 over 1m5f at Bath three starts ago but disappointed on hurdles return, finishing sixth beaten 20l off 100 last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and suited by quick ground; in form in both codes this year until latest and remains on a fair mark. 12/1(0%) | (6) Izzy's Grey 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Inconsistent since returning from lay off. 0-11 and was pulled up on his last two runs in May; has had wind surgery since.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (28/1 -250%)Woodythewoodpecker |
28/1(-250%) | (2) Woodythewoodpecker 28/1, Outpaced and below form but saw out the trip when third beaten 22l in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Prefers easier ground. 0-6 but lightly raced and makes handicap debut following six-month break.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Of Course You Can has to be noted after her Ludlow success a month ago, but a 4lb rise demands more from her here. With that in mind, preference is for ON THE GO, who has placed on both starts so far this season and the five-year-old remains open to improvement. Lunar Power edges out Woodythewoodpecker to be best of the rest.

The best option is LUNAR POWER if he can build on his second at Kempton last time. On The Go is second choice.

200/1(-100%) | (10) Glorious Lion 200/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m and acts on heavy or good to soft ground; needs to prove ability remains after a layoff. Pulled up on stable debut at Uttoxeter 11 days ago following lengthy absence.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (200/1 -400%)Silk Bird |
200/1(-400%) | (12) Silk Bird 200/1, Fell in a novice hurdle at Ludlow last time when well beaten; effective at 2m on good ground but yet to show much. Well held at massive odds on all three starts over hurdles.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Cases can be made for most of these, but none more so than GRANPA GER following his second in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter on his debut for these connections. The strength of that form suggests that the seven-year-old could be vastly underestimated by a mark of 105. Graecia and Baikal both arrive here in good form and are likely to be in the mix once again.

A wide-open finale in which several have claims but preference is for the unexposed ONE COOL DREAMER. The main danger is Graecia.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
