1st (1) (2/9 +69%)Marsiac |
2/9(+69%) | (1) Marsiac 2/9, Improved when stepped up in trip and ridden positively to win a maiden hurdle at Aintree by 1l last time. Effective over 2½m and acts on good to soft and good ground. The form of that win has been strongly boosted and he could defy a penalty. Dug deep to win at Aintree and the second didn't disgrace that form at the weekend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (4/1 +60%)Noahsgreatrainbow |
4/1(+60%) | (6) Noahsgreatrainbow 4/1, Outpaced but improved for a step up in trip after a wind operation when comfortably held in a 2m6f novice hurdle at Newton Abbot. A 2m bumper winner effective over 2m6f and suited by soft conditions. Should build on that latest effort and looks a clear handicap project. Lots of initial bumper promise but has yet to replicate that over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (25/1 +62%)Broadway Honey |
25/1(+62%) | (8) Broadway Honey 25/1, Ran to form when 38l third in a 2m6f maiden hurdle at Stratford last time. Acts on good ground and may prefer a slightly longer trip than 2m. Beaten 16l and 38l in 2m/2m6f maidens for mares and the stable second string here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (80/1 +20%)Man Up Front |
80/1(+20%) | (5) Man Up Front 80/1, Showed greenness and made mistakes when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. May need more time to show his best form. Went off at 100-1 for hurdling debut at Uttoxeter and finished tailed off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (100/1 -100%)Three Figs |
100/1(-100%) | (7) Three Figs 100/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a 2m maiden hurdle at Chepstow most recently. Effective at 2m but much more required. Comfortably held in a bumper and maiden hurdle; one for another day. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (20/1 -67%)Harley's Pride |
20/1(-67%) | (9) Harley's Pride 20/1, Outpaced but ran to form when comfortably held in an amateurs' bumper over 2m at Southwell last time. Has an outside chance here. Signs of ability in bumpers at Punchestown and Southwell (good) but might be up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (33/1 -136%)Bushstreet Bowman |
33/1(-136%) | (3) Bushstreet Bowman 33/1, Ran well to a point before finishing 7l behind in a 2m bumper at Uttoxeter on debut. With the trainer in form, he holds a small chance of being competitive. Led before weakening in a Uttoxeter bumper, beaten 7l into eighth (of ten). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MARSIAC built on his promising Rules debut when getting off the mark in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Aintree a month ago. The four-year-old is likely to have more improvement left to come and he is clearly the one to beat. Montemares scored on his racecourse bow over C&D three weeks ago and, while that form is not quite as strong as the selection's, Tom Lacey's gelding cannot be discounted. Any market support for Justice Served would have to be noted.

Aintree winner MARSIAC looks a nice prospect and the form of that win was given a fair boost at Ascot last weekend.

16/1(-45%) | (7) Lully Du Houx 16/1, Buck's Boum gelding; half-brother to Epson Du Houx, smart at 17f. 42,000euros 3yo; fifth foal; half-brother to smart 2m hurdle/chase winner Epson Du Houx. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (33/1 -200%)Land Of Punt |
33/1(-200%) | (5) Land Of Punt 33/1, Needed the run on hurdle debut when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last time; point form suggests further than 2m will suit. Unlucky not to win his point; tailed off on hurdle debut at only 5-2; tongue-tie removed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (16/1 -100%)Hey Buddy |
16/1(-100%) | (2) Hey Buddy 16/1, Improved from debut when 9l third in a novice hurdle here on latest run; effective at 2m, acts on good ground; bumper form franked and progressing over hurdles. Beaten just under 9l into third over C&D (good) two weeks ago and again looks vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (150/1 -200%)Raging Al |
150/1(-200%) | (8) Raging Al 150/1, Unseated in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Exeter last time; effective from 10f to 12f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; plenty to prove over hurdles. Ability on the Flat but again he pulled hard before departing early last week at Exeter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (100/1 -456%)Ballylicky Bay |
100/1(-456%) | (9) Ballylicky Bay 100/1, Green and made mistakes on modest debut when 30l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Wetherby on latest run; acts on good ground; point and bumper winner who could leave debut form behind. Point/bumper winner; disappointing last of three on hurdling debut at Wetherby (2m3f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (250/1 -67%)Jet Joe |
250/1(-67%) | (3) Jet Joe 250/1, Keen and green on modest debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow on only start; likely to need more time over hurdles. 300-1 when tailed off behind the smart Sober Glory in a 2m maiden at Chepstow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (300/1 -50%)Kellebelle |
300/1(-50%) | (11) Kellebelle 300/1, Improved from debut but was comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m with plenty to prove. Pretty much tailed off in a bumper and two novice hurdles; no appeal for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Liam Mera Kai sets the standard having won a Warwick bumper in March and he was third on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon recently. That said, a chance can be taken with FOUR SPRINGS, who bolted up in an Irish point in May and was bought for 82,000 euros later that month. Lully Du Houx is a newcomer to note, while Hey Buddy completes the shortlist.

Irish point winner Four Springs might be good enough but LIAM MERA KAI won his bumper before a pleasing hurdling debut.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/2 -120%)Electric Eddy |
11/2(-120%) | (1) Electric Eddy 11/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Stratford last time; consistent hurdler prior; holds a chance with promise of more to come over fences. Capable hurdler who is on a career-high mark; can still feature if taking to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/1(+7%) | (3) Chestnut Pete 7/1, Ran to current form when fourth, beaten 12l, in a handicap chase here last time; best at 2m and suited by good ground; not the most reliable. Respectable fourth over C&D three weeks ago but was some 12l off the winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/3 +5%)Sanitiser |
10/3(+5%) | (2) Sanitiser 10/3, Made mistakes but ran to form when fourth, beaten 9l, in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective at 2m; not the most resolute, with the drop in trip likely to suit. Ran quite well when beaten 9l on chase debut and didn't appear to see out the 2m3f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (28/1 -180%)The Pit Popsy |
28/1(-180%) | (6) The Pit Popsy 28/1, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 17l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Ascot last time; good mark on hurdle form; goes chasing quickly; interesting at a price. Promising fourths over hurdles at Doncaster and Ascot; chase/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (40/1 -21%)Dark Soldier |
40/1(-21%) | (7) Dark Soldier 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f here last time; placed in a point but has yet to show form under rules. Pretty poor since sent under rules and 40-1 when pulled up on recent chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (4/1 -14%)L'empire Vert |
4/1(-14%) | (4) L'empire Vert 4/1, Returned to form down in grade back over fences, the race falling apart when landing a handicap by 9 1/2l off 90 at Ludlow last time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; remains well treated on French form. Only beat one other finisher at Ludlow but the handicapper wasn't harsh with just 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (17/2 +15%)Blackijo Dagrostis |
17/2(+15%) | (5) Blackijo Dagrostis 17/2, Travelled well but found little when fourth, beaten 22l, in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Stratford last time after a wind operation; second run following that procedure and off a short break; effective at 2m and may yet stay further; should improve for the latest run. Best run over fences was his first; comfortably held last time after wind surgery. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

L'EMPIRE VERT's task was made easier as most of his rivals failed to complete when he won at Ludlow earlier in the month. That said, it was still a good performance and he merits plenty of respect off just 2lb higher here. Electric Eddy disappointed at Stratford on his return last month but it is too soon to be writing him off, while Sanitiser is next best.

The lightly raced THE PIT POPSY is sent straight chasing for her handicap debut despite showing nice promise over hurdles.

Third in an Exeter maiden latest when he did some hanging; Irish form respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

40/1(-150%) | (15) Little Pi 40/1, Pulled up in a 2m Hereford handicap chase last time; described as progressive. Won two handicaps two winters back but he's not in the same form now. |

5/1(+9%) | (14) Wistmans Prince 5/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle here last time when going well; effective up to 2m4f, acts on good ground and remains an improving type. Clear when falling at the last here on handicap debut; up 8lb but could deal with that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) (22/1 +12%)An Buachaill Rua |
22/1(+12%) | (13) An Buachaill Rua 22/1, Needed the run when down the field in a 2m3f Chepstow handicap hurdle latest; effective around 2¼m and acts on good ground; point winner with more to come in handicaps. Minor promise so far under rules, including on handicap debut when 28-1. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (3/1 +40%)Keep On Cobbling |
3/1(+40%) | (8) Keep On Cobbling 3/1, Improved up in trip on handicap debut when landing a 2m5f Sedgefield handicap by 3l off 96 last time; effective at 2m–2m5f, acts on good ground and looks progressive. Recent Sedgefield winner; 6lb rise isn't the end of the world for one so lightly raced. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (8/1 +56%)Gavin |
8/1(+56%) | (12) Gavin 8/1, Travelled well but found little and was unsuited by tactics when well beaten in a 2m1f Exeter handicap hurdle last time; best around 2m on sound ground and likes to make the running. Some good runs this year when ridden positively and he was held up when below best latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (16) (14/1 +44%)Stopherandgo |
14/1(+44%) | (16) Stopherandgo 14/1, Needed the run when down the field over 2m at Uttoxeter most recently; usually held up and returning from a break; effective at 2m but currently out of form. Her form has taken a turn for the worse, including over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (25/1 -56%)Leave Her To Me |
25/1(-56%) | (2) Leave Her To Me 25/1, Outpaced and below form up in grade when comfortably held in a Worcester handicap hurdle last time; had been in good form prior; effective over 2½m and acts on soft and good ground, though current mark may be stiff. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (7/1 +30%)Hillsin |
7/1(+30%) | (3) Hillsin 7/1, Ran to form down in trip, holding on by a head in a 2m3f Exeter handicap off 100 last time; effective from 2½m to 2¾m and a consistent performer. Recent Exeter winner who should remain competitive off 3lb higher if holding his form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (16/1 +27%)Collingham |
16/1(+27%) | (1) Collingham 16/1, Up in trip, didn't stay when 10l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Ludlow on latest start; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; possibly flattered by claiming wins. Continues to fall in the handicap but was beaten fair and square last time at Ludlow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (9/2 +10%)Recoded |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Recoded 9/2, Too free back from a break after wind surgery when beaten 8¼l in a 2m5f Warwick handicap hurdle; now on second run since the operation; effective at 2½m and likely to improve for the outing. Returning from a year off and wind surgery when running well for a long way at Warwick. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Keep On Cobbling made her first start in a handicap a winning one on her return earlier this month and holds an obvious chance, but the vote goes to HILLSIN. The seven-year-old was victorious on his first outing back with Alan Jones at Exeter last month and is just 3lb higher. The step back up in trip is unlikely to pose him any problems and he can follow up. The Secret Pearl and Golden Identity are others to note.

Kerry Lee's WISTMANS PRINCE (nap) was in the process of showing huge improvement when falling late on here last time.

1st (3) (7/1 -8%)Buckna |
7/1(-8%) | (3) Buckna 7/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time; second run since a wind operation; effective around 2 1/2m; in fair winter form over hurdles but jumping remains an issue over fences. Useful maiden over hurdles; didn't jump well enough on chase debut; raised in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (10/3 +39%)Mahler Moon |
10/3(+39%) | (7) Mahler Moon 10/3, Returned to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 100 over 2m5f here last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m; on a fair mark and may improve stepped up in trip. 3m winner who ran on well over 2m5f here on his return to chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/8 +0%)Copshill Lad |
13/8(+0%) | (5) Copshill Lad 13/8, Ran to form on chase debut when winning a handicap by 3l off 107 here last time; effective at 3m on soft or good ground; consistent and well treated up 2lb, with a chance to follow up. Recent C&D winner by 3l; handicapper saw fit to raise him only 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/2 +31%)Law Of Supply |
11/2(+31%) | (1) Law Of Supply 11/2, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Kempton last time; wears a hood for the first time; effective at 3m but out of form in 2025. Threatening to lose his way and stopped very quickly on his comeback run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (18/1 -100%)The Long Point |
18/1(-100%) | (6) The Long Point 18/1, Needed the run and performed well to a point on chase debut when fourth, beaten 36l, in a handicap chase here last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at around 2 1/2m; should improve for the reappearance. Unruly before disappointing on his recent chase debut; ability needs respecting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (9/1 -100%)Lagonda |
9/1(-100%) | (2) Lagonda 9/1, Taken on up front and did plenty early when down the field in a handicap chase at Cheltenham last time; effective at 3m; consistent until that effort. Last season went well until disappointing at Cheltenham and that might not be her track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (17/2 -6%)Concetto |
17/2(-6%) | (4) Concetto 17/2, Returned to form after a wind operation under an aggressive ride when beaten 1 1/2l off 110 over 3m2f at Ludlow last time; second run after the surgery; likes to make the running and effective at 3m on a sound surface. Off the same mark as when so nearly making all in a small field at Ludlow. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

COPSHILL LAD justified favouritism by three lengths over C&D on his most recent start and is likely to have more to offer on just his second chase outing. With the Harry Derham yard in fine form at present, he could prove a tough nut to crack. Concetto only found one too good at Ludlow last time and needs considering with Harry Cobden taking over in the plate. Of the remainder, Mahler Moon makes the most appeal.

If CONCETTO can get into the same rhythm up front as when overhauled only late on at Ludlow then he could be tough to catch.

Generally consistent. Placed in three of her four handicaps, most recently when clear second to a big improver. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/1 -57%)Sain Et Sauf |
11/1(-57%) | (7) Sain Et Sauf 11/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Plumpton last time. Effective over 2m but has proved inconsistent in a short career so far. 0-8 over hurdles but hasn't been with Fergal O'Brien long; may yet come good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (18/1 -50%)Jammy Jay |
18/1(-50%) | (2) Jammy Jay 18/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and generally consistent. Opening mark looks fair. Showed clear promise in maiden hurdles but probably needs improvement on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/4 +8%)Ride Like A Girl |
6/4(+8%) | (1) Ride Like A Girl 6/4, Ran green and made mistakes when below form, finishing fourth beaten 8 1/2l in a maiden hurdle here last time. Trainer in form. Effective over 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Progressive in bumpers, with more to come now handicapping. Only fourth when odds-on for C&D maiden last month but remains one to be interested in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (28/1 -40%)Lynsey Larue |
28/1(-40%) | (6) Lynsey Larue 28/1, Disappointing when stepped up in trip on handicap debut, well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f here last time. A point winner who acts on good ground, but likely to need further than 2m. Soundly beaten when 40-1 for handicap debut here (2m3f) last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/2 +36%)Fay Ce Que Voudras |
9/2(+36%) | (4) Fay Ce Que Voudras 9/2, Travelled well and consistent, but didn't find much after a wind operation when fourth beaten 15l in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Ffos Las last time. Second run after wind surgery and a contender here. Not at best over fences last season but this C&D winner returns on a good hurdle mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (25/1 -317%)Harthope |
25/1(-317%) | (3) Harthope 25/1, Below form when finishing down the field in a 4yo hurdle over 2m2f at Auteuil most recently. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft. Opening mark looks stiff enough. Beaten 10l in two small-field junior hurdles in late 2024, and well held in France in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (66/1 -100%)Miss Galiway |
66/1(-100%) | (8) Miss Galiway 66/1, Stopped quickly and finished down the field in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time. A modest flat performer yet to convince with stamina for 2m over hurdles. Showed no significant promise in four maiden/novice hurdles; makes handicap debut today. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ride Like A Girl has shown enough in her two appearances over hurdles to suggest a mark of 101 could prove to be workable, but it may pay to side with GRANNY HAWKINS. Alan King's mare produced an improved display when second at Uttoxeter in July and she could be the one to beat. C&D winner Fay Ce Que Voudras looks best of the rest.

She has a point to prove after her short-odds C&D defeat six weeks ago but RIDE LIKE A GIRL retains significant potential.

14th (14) (200/1 -506%)Telegram Dam |
200/1(-506%) | (14) Telegram Dam 200/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a mares' bumper at Ffos Las on only start; has plenty to prove. Brings the worst form, having finished last of five at Ffos Las. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Indulto Rouge bolted up between the flags in May and the market could tell all on his first outing under Rules for the in-form David Pipe team. However, WESTERN CROSS was beaten a length into second on debut at Worcester and could take a step forward from that display. The son of Order Of St George looks well placed to get off the mark, while Sassipants should fare better after her fourth at Uttoxeter and is another to note.

First choice is SASSIPANTS, ahead of Indulto Rouge and Ma Wang Des Bois in a reasonably competitive bumper.
Ths is the racecard key.
