BIG GINGE bumped into a potentially useful type on his hurdles debut at Sandown last month and with improvement likely, the son of Mount Nelson is taken to go one place better. Carlisle scorer No Questions Asked wasn't able to carry a penalty to victory at Doncaster three weeks ago but he remains of interest, while others to note include King Ulanda and Strong Foundations.

BIG GINGE shaped well on his Sandown hurdle debut and can make the most of the weight he receives from previous hurdle winners Strong Foundations and No Questions Asked.

His tendency to race too freely is an ongoing concern but Carlisle winner NO QUESTIONS ASKED can add to his tally here.

Not the deepest of contests and preference is for GOODWIN FACE. A narrow second in a Plumpton novice hurdle in October, Chris Gordon's charge does not look overburdened by an opening mark of 96 and he may step forward now pitched into handicaps. Penna Rossa posted a much improved performance at Wincanton last month and ought to go close if building on that. Greenways heads the remainder.

A very competitive handicap hurdle. It might be worth chancing that SCHERBOBALOB can recapture his best form. He likely needed his comeback run following a wind operation, and that should put him spot on for this. Penna Rossa arrives here off the back of two encouraging efforts, although he does find it tough to win, while better is expected of Gwennie May Star now tackling a handicap for the first time. Course winner Greenways and the lightly-raced Goodwin Face are others worth noting.

Handicap debutant JIM DE SARTI is of strong interest if judged on the promise he showed at Newbury last season and gets the vote.

FACE D'MUSIC got up in the shadow of the post over C&D last time out, finishing well clear of the third, and he is taken to go in again despite a 4lb rise in the handicap. Muskoka showed promise on his chasing debut recently and any improvement should bring him into the picture, while Just Loose Change, who was no match for an all-the-way winner at Catterick last month, is also noted.

FACE D'MUSIC boasts a fine record at this track and having jumped much better than previously this season when winning over C&D last month, Katy Price's 5-y-o gets the nod to follow up. Not Sure won on reappearance at Wetherby last year, so he heads up the dangers, with Just Loose Change taken to edge out Muskoka for the third spot.

The well-related MUSKOKA can improve for this longer trip and get off the mark. Face d'Music floored one in form last time.

This can go the way of the unexposed MOONLIT POTTER, who could not have done much more when a nose second on her chasing debut at Huntingdon last month. Henry Daly's charge can gain compensation on the slight step up in trip, with the hat-trick-seeking Lady Balko looking best placed to chase her home. Not outside the first two in her last three starts, Sacre Coeur is entitled to be thereabouts, as well as Jessie Lightfoot and Regatta De Blanc.

Several appeaing types to choose from with REGATTA DE BLANC marginally preferred to Harrys Hope, Lady Balko and Moonlit Potter. The selection bumped into a progressive one at Ascot on her first run in open company over fences and there should be more to come from this lightly-raced 6-y-o. My Silver Lining needs to get back on track but she will be a danger to all if able to do so.

Former pointer REGATTA DE BLANC (nap) was a good second at Ascot on her second start for Paul Nicholls and still has potential.

NEMEAN LION finished second in this grade at Sandown earlier in the month and can take full advantage of his 2lb lower mark in this company. Below The Radar wasn't able to justify favouritism on his seasonal return at Uttoxeter last month but the son of Getaway could take a step forward here, while Lemoncello heads the remainder after his Doncaster fourth.

This is a good opportunity for NEMEAN LION to regain the winning thread on his way to bigger targets later in the season. Below The Radar showed plenty of ability in novice hurdles and shaped with more promise than the bare result on comeback, so he is considered the main danger in receipt of two stone from Nemean Lion.

Preference is for the class act in the line-up, NEMEAN LION, who has been dropped 2lb since his very respectable second at Sandown.

FAMOSO successfully completed a hat-trick in convincing style at Ludlow three days ago and is quickly turned out under a 7lb penalty. Matt Sheppard's eight-year-old is improving at a rapid rate of knots and doesn't look one to take on just yet. Abaya Du Mathan produced a bit of shock at Southwell last time, but there was no fluke about the manner of that victory so he could get involved. Of the remainder, the in-form Paddy In The Caddy makes the most appeal.

This looks a warm race but PADDY IN THE CADDY was by no means all out when fending off a next-time-out winner over C&D 24 days ago and he rates a big player again in his hat-trick bid. Fellow C&D winner Famoso is thriving himself and is feared turned out quickly under a penalty for his Ludlow victory 3 days ago. Chase-debutant Salt Rock and Dromlac Jury are others to consider.

Unexposed 6yo SALT ROCK makes his handicap/chase debut after some promising hurdle runs and might be the answer.

SECRET SNIPER showed ability when making the frame on his debut at Exeter in October and he could take a big step forward from that effort. The son of Stimulation may be able to put that experience to good use in order to get off the mark. Through The Storm is related to plenty of winners on the Flat and the booking of Brian Hayes catches the eye. Any market support behind newcomer The Egyptian Ginge would be interesting.

SECRET SNIPER is bred to do well in this sphere and offered plenty of promise when third at Exeter on debut a couple of months ago, so he's fancied to open his account for all that improvement is expected from Risky Spin, who was well supported first time out. There are several interesting newcomers in opposition, Urban Isle, a stablemate of the selection, being arguably the most notable.

Who knows what lurks amongst the newcomers but SECRET SNIPER has the benefit of experience after finishing third at Exeter.
Ths is the racecard key.
