1st (3) (5/4 +23%)Fern Hill |
5/4(+23%) | (3) Fern Hill 5/4, Returned to form down in trip off a reduced mark at a favoured venue, winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 104 at Uttoxeter last time. Effective 2m6f-3m; inconsistent but capable of a good run after a small rise. Off a career-low mark when beating four rivals at Uttoxeter; contender off 3lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 +0%)Zacony Rebel |
13/2(+0%) | (4) Zacony Rebel 13/2, Outpaced late on and again below summer level when 16l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Hereford most recently. Effective at 2m4f and best on good ground; inconsistent but only just above last winning mark. Worcester winner in July but well held since, with latest third a remote one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/8 -15%)Enjoy D'allen |
15/8(-15%) | (2) Enjoy D'allen 15/8, Returned to form off a reduced mark, suited by a positive ride down in grade when winning a handicap by 10l off 105 over 2m5f at Fakenham last time. Effective 2m4f-3m and acts on any ground; leading chance if repeating that level. Back up 7lb but the Fakenham stroll should have done his confidence some good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/2 -29%)Fuji Flight |
9/2(-29%) | (1) Fuji Flight 9/2, Hampered, outpaced and unsuited by the track when fourth, beaten 11l, in a handicap chase over 3m5f at Cartmel last time. Effective up to 3m1f and acts on heavy and good ground; has a chance if ready to return from a break. Below his best and by some way in 3m/3m5f chases earlier this year after a mammoth absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ENJOY D'ALLEN made every yard of the running to score by 10 lengths in this grade at Fakenham last month and even a 7lb rise might underestimate the manner of that success. If in similar form, he will prove a tough nut to crack. Fern Hill was victorious at Uttoxeter on his most recent outing and is just 3lb higher, so would be foolish to dismiss. Fuji Flight can beat Zacony Rebel home for third.

The 11yo ENJOY D'ALLEN looked full of beans in making all at Fakenham and that should have done his confidence some good.

(7) (9/4 +55%)Lennie Godber |
9/4(+55%) | (7) Lennie Godber 9/4, Improved but seemed unsuited by the drop in trip and needed the run when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective at 2m but likely to be better over further and acts on good ground. Siblings include two winners for his yard; open to progress now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 +65%)Tigga Time |
7/2(+65%) | (2) Tigga Time 7/2, Pulled his way to the front and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground. Should improve plenty for that return effort. Seemed to need the run last time on stable debut and return from layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/5 -80%)Keep It Cool |
18/5(-80%) | (5) Keep It Cool 18/5, Yard won this race last year. Returned to form in first-time blinkers when 8 1/4l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Navan most recently. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground, though others may hold stronger claims. Maiden for Shark Hanlon but ran encouragingly at Navan most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +46%)Ruler Legend |
15/2(+46%) | (6) Ruler Legend 15/2, Below form and too keen when comfortably held in a handicap over 2m2f at Nottingham last time. Effective over 2m over hurdles and acts on good ground. Could yet progress as a hurdler. Two attempts at Huntingdon comprise his best hurdles form; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (15/2 -25%)Prairie Queen |
15/2(-25%) | (8) Prairie Queen 15/2, Returned to form under a positive ride down in trip when beaten 2l off 74 over 2m1f at Exeter last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and suited by good or good to firm ground. Chance if repeating that latest effort. Still a maiden but ran well last time and receives lots of weight all round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (9/1 -80%)Blue Universe |
9/1(-80%) | (1) Blue Universe 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 15l into third in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Fakenham last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and suited by decent ground. Still a maiden over hurdles but in fair form and has a good chance back in a handicap. Maiden over hurdles but has possibilities on his Worcester form in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (14/1 -300%)Mistral Blue |
14/1(-300%) | (4) Mistral Blue 14/1, Looked well treated on her maiden win when landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 93 over 2m4f at Hereford last time. Effective up to 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Back from a break but has more to offer. Scored under Fern O'Brien at Hereford when last seen seven months ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (33/1 +0%)Bread And Butter |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Bread And Butter 33/1, Found little when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Usually held up in his races. Effective at 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground, but is an unreliable type. C&D success off 10lb higher last December; has weak claims on 2025 form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Mistral Blue went in by over two lengths at Hereford in April and, if ready to go on her return, she ought to go close. However, PRAIRIE QUEEN finished third over an extended 2m at Exeter last time and may appreciate this step back up in trip. Off an unchanged mark and with Ciaran O'Shea claiming a handy 5lb in the plate, she looks the way to go. Blue Universe isn't ruled out either.

The suggestion is handicap debutant LENNIE GODBER, ahead of ex-Irish Keep It Cool.

(1) (8/15 +33%)Lady Tadita |
8/15(+33%) | (1) Lady Tadita 8/15, Confirmed her debut win when switching to hurdles, winning a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen over 2m1f by 8l last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; has a good chance to defy her penalty. Two from two, namely 8l wins in Huntingdon bumper and Market Rasen maiden hurdle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (5/2 +29%)Amelia's Star |
5/2(+29%) | (2) Amelia's Star 5/2, Still green under pressure but showed improvement when well beaten in the Nickel Coin Mares' NH Flat Race (Grade 2) over 2m1f at Aintree last time; in good form prior; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; respected on hurdles debut. Seemed to run well on the figures in Aintree Grade 2 bumper when last seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/2 -29%)Blue Betty |
9/2(-29%) | (4) Blue Betty 9/2, Yard has won the last two runnings of this race; ran below form up in grade and finished lame when down the field in the Nickel Coin Mares' NH Flat Race (Grade 2) over 2m1f at Aintree last time; had a wind operation and is the type to do well over hurdles. Stylish win at Newcastle then finished lame in Grade 2 bumper; retains potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (16/1 +27%)Eastern Shores |
16/1(+27%) | (6) Eastern Shores 16/1, From a yard that has won the last two renewals of this race; needed the run on hurdles debut after a wind operation when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; a point winner who showed promise in 2m bumpers on good ground and should improve over hurdles. Irish point winner; regressive form under rules. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 -80%)Caterpillar Girl |
18/1(-80%) | (5) Caterpillar Girl 18/1, Needed the run on her hurdles debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Worcester last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; the form of her bumper win has been franked and she could leave her debut effort behind. Won bumper then modest fifth over hurdles; may yet show progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (50/1 -79%)Karlita Desbois |
50/1(-79%) | (7) Karlita Desbois 50/1, Ran below form when well beaten in a mares' bumper over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time; should prove effective at 2m over hurdles but needs to show more. Not particularly convincing on bumper form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (80/1 -186%)Barafundle Bay |
80/1(-186%) | (3) Barafundle Bay 80/1, Built on her recent return when fourth, beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time; should handle 2m over hurdles but looks up against it in this company. Modest Flat winner; brings limited potential to this code. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (200/1 +0%)Secret Pass |
200/1(+0%) | (8) Secret Pass 200/1, Again failed to reproduce her bumper form when down the field in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time; effective at 2m in bumpers but unlikely to make an impact until contesting lower-grade handicaps. Brings the worst form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LADY TADITA made a strong impression when accounting for her nearest rival by eight lengths on her hurdling bow at Market Rasen in September. Jamie Snowden's filly now has a penalty to contend with but that is unlikely to prevent her from following up. Blue Betty failed to fire in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree when last seen, but this is a lot easier and she has to be considered tackling hurdles for the first time. Caterpillar Girl is the pick of the remainder.

Promising LADY TADITA is taken to maintain her unbeaten record. Amelia's Star and Blue Betty may prove the biggest dangers.

(2) (6/4 +33%)Rip Wheeler |
6/4(+33%) | (2) Rip Wheeler 6/4, Well backed and a bit keen but improved up in trip when beaten a neck off 95 over 2m5f here last time. Effective between 2m and 2m5f, acts on soft and good ground, and brings point-winning potential to fences. Might have won over hurdles at Huntingdon on last appearance but for idling; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (4/1 -14%)Hawkseye View |
4/1(-14%) | (4) Hawkseye View 4/1, Couldn't go the gallop and was comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Wetherby last time. Effective from 2m4f to 2m6f, acts on good to soft and good ground, has had a wind operation and tries a tongue-tie for the first time. Maiden under rules; had wind surgery since last run and now wears tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (5/1 +23%)Crac De Megaudais |
5/1(+23%) | (3) Crac De Megaudais 5/1, Ran to form on chase debut when 11l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Newton Abbot last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f, acts on soft and good ground, and should improve further. May show progress back up in trip on this second chase attempt; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (5/1 +38%)Goodbyemick |
5/1(+38%) | (6) Goodbyemick 5/1, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 8l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Warwick last time wearing a first-time visor. Effective between 2m and 2m4f, acts on good and good to firm ground, and could do better back over fences. This belated return to fences is worth exploring; 0-22 overall, though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (15/2 +25%)Catchim |
15/2(+25%) | (1) Catchim 15/2, Outpaced and again below best when 23l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Fakenham last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground but remains inconsistent. Favourably treated on best chase effort and this is a drop in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (14/1 +0%)Honneur De Sivola |
14/1(+0%) | (7) Honneur De Sivola 14/1, Outpaced and may have needed the run when 39l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Fakenham last time. Since had wind surgery, effective up to 3m, acts on good to soft and good ground, and the return to further should help. Maiden under rules; had wind surgery since last run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (33/1 +0%)Annie Don |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Annie Don 33/1, Well below form and found little when down the field in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground but hard to fancy. Has weak claims on form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (100/1 -52%)Raindance Queen |
100/1(-52%) | (9) Raindance Queen 100/1, Never travelled when pulled up in a handicap chase at Worcester last time. Effective around 2m4f, acts on good ground, and may prefer further. Inconsistent maiden; well out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In a moderate event, marginal preference is for GOODBYEMICK, who has been running well enough in defeat of late over hurdles to suggest that he can go well in a race of this nature. Rip Wheeler would be a big threat based on his narrow second over timber here in April if he's ready to go after a break, while Crac De Megaudais is the pick of the remainder.

Provided he doesn't idle this time, chase debutant RIP WHEELER could well open his rules account. Crac De Megaudais is second pick.

(3) (15/8 +0%)Forget The Way |
15/8(+0%) | (3) Forget The Way 15/8, Below form when second, beaten 6l in a claiming hurdle here last time; suited by 2m and handles good ground; needs to bounce back. Not disgraced last time in C&D claimer that he'd won 12 months earlier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (2/1 +27%)Enthused |
2/1(+27%) | (1) Enthused 2/1, Ran below form when finishing down the field in a 12f handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 2m over hurdles and handles good or good to soft ground. Should be competitive off this mark back hurdling. Has won over C&D but returns here with a doubt over current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (5/2 -43%)Dickens |
5/2(-43%) | (2) Dickens 5/2, Ran to form when second, outstayed after dropping in grade in a selling hurdle at Stratford last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time; effective from 2m to 2m6f on decent ground and the drop back to 2m looks a positive. Record of 11311222 for current yard; tongue-tie replaces usual hood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 +25%)Harel Du Marais |
15/2(+25%) | (4) Harel Du Marais 15/2, Below form when sixth, beaten 23l off 109 here last time. Effective at 2m on good ground; this is his first hurdles run since spring 2024 and others look stronger. Fighting chance on best hurdles form but is 0-13 in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (25/1 -150%)Fascinating Lips |
25/1(-150%) | (5) Fascinating Lips 25/1, Ran well below form when fourth, beaten 41l in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective at 2m on good ground, drops in the weights, and remains unexposed as a hurdler. Has regressed in two starts since belated returned to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (80/1 +20%)Mi Sueno |
80/1(+20%) | (6) Mi Sueno 80/1, Made mistakes and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective at 2m but looks up against it. Poor chance on recent form; stone out of weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ENTHUSED was a respectable sixth in the Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on his penultimate start over timber and he is likely to play a big role now switched to a selling handicap. Dickens has filled second place in all three starts since securing a double in a similar race to this at Newton Abbot in September and he has to be noted. Others to consider are Forget The Way and Fascinating Lips.

Judged on recent form and other factors, FORGET THE WAY and Dickens hold the strongest claims.

(1) (9/4 +10%)Kingston Sunflower |
9/4(+10%) | (1) Kingston Sunflower 9/4, Returned to form under a positive ride at a sharp track, landing a handicap by 6l off 110 at Ludlow last time. Enjoys making the running, effective at 2m and suited by quick ground, remaining well treated on previous form. Scored at Ludlow last time, taking record over hurdles to 4-10; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/4 +17%)Charging Thunder |
11/4(+17%) | (4) Charging Thunder 11/4, Too free and failed to find much up the hill when down the field in a Cheltenham handicap hurdle last time. Effective from 2m to 2m3f on a sound surface; a consistent dual-purpose performer unexposed in handicap hurdles. 2-4 over hurdles; drops back in class; still attractively treated based on Flat form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (4/1 +11%)Diesel Line |
4/1(+11%) | (8) Diesel Line 4/1, Travelled well and improved again when third, beaten 3l off 98 at Uttoxeter last time. Progressive at 2m on a sound surface and warrants consideration. Record of 21413, mostly at Uttoxeter, for new stable; first visit to Huntingdon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (9/2 +10%)He's A Latchico |
9/2(+10%) | (7) He's A Latchico 9/2, Outpaced and had a lot to do when beaten 5l back on the Flat over 10f at Windsor last time. Effective up to 2m2f over hurdles and best on a sound surface; could have more to offer as a hurdler. Last hurdles appearance enhanced his good record at Fontwell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (13/2 +28%)Fourtowns |
13/2(+28%) | (6) Fourtowns 13/2, Ran to form when third, beaten 6 1/4l off 109 last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good ground; generally consistent. Solid chance in current form, albeit record of 1-17 reflects his limitations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (20/1 -186%)Caelan |
20/1(-186%) | (5) Caelan 20/1, Still green and made mistakes but ran to form when beaten 7 1/2l in a Wetherby handicap hurdle last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and progressing over hurdles since a hood was applied. Lacked fluency last time but is still unexposed under this code and not written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (33/1 -136%)Castel Gandolfo |
33/1(-136%) | (2) Castel Gandolfo 33/1, A bit too free when finishing down the field in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground, ideally needs a pace collapse and looks on a fair mark. Gained most recent success in June; not in the same form since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (40/1 -150%)Belvedere Blast |
40/1(-150%) | (3) Belvedere Blast 40/1, Won by 3/4l off 112 over 2m7f at Market Rasen three starts ago. Below form last time when not getting home back up in trip but effective up to 2m7f and acts on good to soft and good ground; could bounce back dropped in distance. Last two wins over 2m7f; opposed back down sharply in trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER was an impressive six-length winner on her return to hurdling at Ludlow a month ago and Fergal O'Brien's mare is hard to oppose on the back of that effort, despite a 7lb rise. Diesel Line placed at Uttoxeter most recently after winning at the same venue in September and he is an obvious danger, while He's A Latchico and Charging Thunder should not be underestimated.

Back down in grade, CHARGING THUNDER (nap) may well be the answer. Caelan is second choice.

13/8(+28%) | (5) Palma Springs 13/8, Yard won this last year; Cokoriko filly and half-sister to a 2m1f hurdle winner in France; looks a contender on debut. Suitably bred and represents last year's winning stable; respected debutante. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/8 -7%)Crystal Jet |
15/8(-7%) | (2) Crystal Jet 15/8, Showed promise despite greenness when third, beaten 3l, in a mares' bumper at Stratford on debut; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; leading player with improvement expected. Brings the best bumper form, having shown promise with third of 13 at Stratford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (9/2 -64%)Saxons Pride |
9/2(-64%) | (6) Saxons Pride 9/2, Telescope filly; dam was very useful at 11f; merits consideration on debut for a respected yard. From a family that her trainer knows well; interesting newcomer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (9/1 -50%)Semele |
9/1(-50%) | (7) Semele 9/1, Bobby's Kitten filly; dam was very useful at 6f; not an obvious one on breeding but represents a respected yard and this is not a strong race. Half-sister to five Flat winners; check the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (12/1 +25%)Susie Q |
12/1(+25%) | (8) Susie Q 12/1, Magna Grecia filly; dam was high-class at 9f; could play a part in this ordinary race on debut. Sibling to four French winners; market may prove best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (28/1 -40%)Laysoft |
28/1(-40%) | (3) Laysoft 28/1, Not without promise when well beaten in a juvenile bumper over 2m1f at Market Rasen on only start; should be effective at 2m but needs to improve. Holds modest claims on her Market Rasen effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (50/1 -25%)Athena's Dream |
50/1(-25%) | (1) Athena's Dream 50/1, Ulysses filly; half-sister to Noble Miss, who was smart at 16f; dam was also smart at 12f; probably up against it on debut. Suitably bred but stable's bumper record doesn't augur well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (300/1 -100%)Miss Helena |
300/1(-100%) | (4) Miss Helena 300/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a juvenile bumper here on only start; yet to find suitable conditions and may need more time. Trailed home last of ten in C&D contest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CRYSTAL JET caught the eye when filling third place on her racecourse bow at Stratford last month and Toby Bulgin's filly could be hard to stop with the benefit of that experience. Saxons Pride is out of a mare who won on the Flat as well as over hurdles and she could go well on her debut, while any market support for Palma Springs or Semele would have to be noted.

As regards the newcomers, PALMA SPRINGS and Saxons Pride are particularly interesting. Crystal Jet is the form pick.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
