Graffiti made a pleasing return to this sphere when filling the runner-up spot in his grade at Fontwell in August, but this step up in distance is a slight concern. With that in mind, JACK THE SAVAGE gets the nod. Laura Horsfall's seven-year-old was far from disgraced in second at Hereford earlier in the month and goes off an unchanged mark. With a repeat of that performance, he could prove tough to beat. Well Done Dani is another to consider.

LASER FOCUS came down early on the level at Fakenham a fortnight ago and is worth another chance as he surely has a race over hurdles in him. Jack The Savage is a player, while a revival from Poker Master back at the scene of his best days could be on the cards.

Course winner JACK THE SAVAGE returns here after running well in defeat at Hereford last week and might be the answer.

Global Esteem was well held in third at Ludlow last month, but he takes a drop in grade which can see him get closer. Even so, STAR LEGEND looks the one to be on. James Owen's five-year-old finished a fair fourth at Stratford when last seen in this sphere in July and goes off the same mark. It would be no surprise to see him regain the winning thread, while Stormin Crossgales is another to note.

GLOBAL ESTEEM is quite classy for this level and is the one to beat. The Pogsons' have turned around a few from other yards this season and their new recruit Stormin Crossgales might give the selection most to think about.

Keen-going front-runners Global Esteem and Stormin Crossgales might combine to set this race up nicely for STAR LEGEND.

SUPER CITIZEN did well to get as close as he did when finishing second at Kelso in May. Lucinda Hughes' veteran has Brian Hughes booked on this occasion and he could prove hard to beat. The Wolf hit the woodwork in this grade at Southwell in June and could get into contention, while Special Acceptance is another to take seriously after his second at Uttoxeter last month.

SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE rates the pick of the weights on the back of a very good Uttoxeter second for his new yard last month so looks the way to go. Innisfree Lad has been given some respite by the official assessor and is next on the list, with Super Citizen also in the mix with Brian Hughes now in the saddle.

Clear second to a heavily backed chasing debutant last month, SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE can go one better off the same mark here.

LELOOPA impressed when scoring with the minimum of fuss over 2m at Hereford last month, and she should prove tough to stop with a reproduction of that effort. Granny B remains unexposed over hurdles and is expected to better her sixth over 2m at Ludlow last month. Fifth behind the selection last time out, A Little Something will need to find more.

LELOOPA is presented with a golden opportunity to add to last month's breakthrough success at Hereford. The one for the forecast may be Nobody's Perfect, though Granny B is also a candidate for minor honours.

This looks another good opportunity for LELOOPA, who made all in a Hereford maiden last month.

CAMINO ROCIO appeared to appreciate the application of a visor (retained) when running out a ready winner over 2m4f at Wincanton last month, and the suspicion is that a 7lb rise may not be enough to anchor him. Lunar Ocean shaped with plenty of credit when finishing runner-up on his chasing debut over 2m3f at Market Rasen recently and he must enter calculations off an unchanged mark. My Mate Polly is also noteworthy.

If CAMINO ROCIO is in a similar mood as when landing a gamble at Wincanton on debut for this yard 16 days ago he will prove a tough nut to crack. My Mate Polly and Lunar Ocean both performed with credit on their chase debuts and are feared most in that order of preference.

This can go to CAMINO ROCIO (nap), who dominated a fairly competitive race for the grade on his recent stable debut.

NORMAN FLETCHER was narrowly denied under this rider when he returned from a break with a good second-placed finish at Cheltenham last month and must have every chance of going one better this time. Black Hawk Eagle has a similar profile to the selection and is another must for consideration, while Klitschko is respected off a competitive mark on his debut for a new yard.

NORMAN FLETCHER resumed progress when an excellent second at Cheltenham 18 days ago and he should be up to going one better in this lesser contest. Black Hawk Eagle is the main danger and Klitschko is worth a market check starting out for a new yard.

Black Hawk Eagle and NORMAN FLETCHER both ran well in competitive handicaps on their seasonal debuts and may fight this out.

The gutsy winner of a similar event over this C&D last month, NOBLE MISS showed a good attitude when popped a question and that attribute can stand her in good stead under a penalty. Given that Playaway Girl and Gaelic Choir need to improve, perhaps Jamie Snowden's newcomer Lady Tadita, who is a half-sister to a bumper winner, can give the selection the most think about.

LADY TADITA represents a stable going well and should have enough pace for this sort of test, so a chance is taken on her to make a winning start. Recent C&D winner Noble Miss is an obvious player and Do Wah Diddy can play a part.

Rae Guest's filly NOBLE MISS has a penalty to shoulder but she won a shade cosily over C&D last month and might be up to the task.
Ths is the racecard key.
