The official ratings suggest GROOVY BABY has a good chance of success on these terms. Admittedly, the daughter of Kingman has been hard to win with, but she balances that with reliability and is deserving of a breakthrough after finishing second on six previous occasions. Twilight Diamond won going away in a four-runner novice stakes event at Wolverhampton on debut and he is feared most, despite having to shoulder a penalty. American Treasure can beat Black Cab in the battle for third place.

TWILIGHT DIAMOND looks set to make up for lost time judged on the style of last month's debut success and may ensure that Groovy Baby's wait for a first win goes on.

The well-bred Wolverhampton debut winner TWILIGHT DIAMOND is taken to defy a penalty. Newcomer American Treasure could be a threat.

NO RELEASE was game in defeat when second at Chelmsford 13 days ago and, open to improvement on just his third career attempt over 7f, Ed Dunlop's three-year-old looks worth chancing in this wide-open handicap. Take The Boat drops back a furlong after winning a similar race here most recently and is another must for consideration off just 2lb higher, while Ballsgrove Boy and Magna are others to keep an eye on.

NO RELEASE looked suited by the drop to 7f last time and may finally get off the mark. Ballsgrove Boy is feared most after his positive start for new trainer Martin Dunne at Wolverhampton last week. Take The Boat and Magna also make the shortlist.

Few of these have worthwhile form and none of them totally convince, but BALLSGROVE BOY might build on his second-place finishes.

RUMBA BAY shed her maiden tag on only her second start for the David Evans yard at Chelmsford earlier in the month and a 4lb rise for that success may underestimate her superiority that day. The daughter of Havana Grey might only need to produce a repeat of that effort in order to go in again. Helaali was a respectable third over C&D last time and should go well off an unchanged mark, while Ballarat Bertie is another to keep an eye on.

RUMBA BAY was fitter for her stable debut and duly capitalised on a career-low mark at Chelmsford (7f) 2 weeks ago, leading final 100 yds and well on top finish. She can make a bold bid to follow up from this 4 lb higher mark, with Manton Road and Missile Mac heading up the dangers. Freak Encounter is another holding claims.

Not a strong heat and preference is for recent Chelmsford scorer RUMBA BAY over Freak Encounter and Ballarat Bertie.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART stayed on well from the rear to lead in the shadows of the post over C&D a fortnight ago and another bold bid is forecast. A 2lb nudge up the ratings looks surmountable for the seven-year-old and he's preferred to reopposing runner-up Hieronymus. George Baker's gelding races off an unchanged mark and a reproduction of that performance is sure to see him involved once more. Batal Dubai and Lerwick warrant a second look too.

A case can be made for most of these but C&D winner ULTRAMARINE didn't enjoy the rub of the green when fifth at Chelmsford last time and figures on a handy mark so edges the vote. Follow Your Heart heads the list of dangers on the back of his recent C&D victory with Lerwick, Batal Dubai and Giant also in the picture.

A competitive race as all of these hold form claims but FOLLOW YOUR HEART is taken to follow up his recent C&D success.

Jersey Rocs returned to form with a solid second at Wolverhampton 32 days ago and he's sure to prove popular racing off an unchanged mark. However, it could be worth taking a chance on the downgraded SCEPTIC. Although Ian Williams' charge has plenty to prove at present, a 59-day break on just his second outing since rejoining the yard in late December could rejuvenate him off a dangerous mark. Partisan Hero may fare best of the remainder.

Having hinted at ability in her qualifying runs, LOVELY JUBLY is of interest now venturing down the handicap route off an appealing opening mark. She shades preference ahead of Partisan Hero, who has put in good shifts on all four starts since joining David Loughnane and should be on the premises once more. Kaaranah and Mister Mojito are others to consider.

A few to consider like Partisan Hero, Kaaranah and Jersey Rocs but a chance is taken on THAT'S FOR SURE for a new trainer.

Having scored a shade cosily at Chelmsford last month, GOT NO DOLLARS looks more than capable of landing the spoils again. A 2lb rise in the ratings is more than fair and a return to this venue for the triple course winner is viewed as a positive. The biggest threat may emerge from Top Of The Class, who has recorded both of her victories to date over track and trip, while any market support for stable debutant Pursuit Of Truth would be interesting.

TOP OF THE CLASS had little chance the way the race unfolded when sent off favourite at Wolverhampton last month but, granted a strong pace to aim at, Mark Loughnane's dual C&D winner remains one to be interested in. She gets the vote over Pursuit of Truth, who is low mileage for his age and returns after 4 months off for a new yard. Timetobenice and Laser Focus can fight out minor honours.

Maybe PURSUIT OF TRUTH can make a successful debut for his new stable. He's sufficiently lightly raced to think he can progress.

OPERA BALLO created a big impression when winning easily on his debut over C&D a month ago and Charlie Appleby's colt is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Olympus Point, a stablemate of the selection, has proven to be a consistent performer in his short career to date and has to be of some interest on the back of a gelding operation. Cases can be made for all of the remainder, but Saddadd is just the pick of them.

The sky could be the limit for OPERA BALLO, who was a very taking winner on debut over this C&D last month and he is hard to oppose. Saddadd also made a winning start to his career at Southwell and earns the vote for forecast purposes ahead of another promising colt in Quai de Bethune.

Subsequent 2,000 Guineas winner Notable Speech won this last year and the same connections' OPERA BALLO won the same maiden as that one.

TUSCAN STAR arrives here on the back of two wins in maiden/novice company in recent weeks and those performances suggest that a mark of 80 should be workable on his handicap bow. The hat-trick seeking Spirit Of Jura is another with strong form claims, while Royal Alliance edges out Magna Gee Gee and One Horse Town to be best of the rest.

Andrew Balding's TUSCAN STAR arrives on the up so is fancied to make a winning handicap debut now his stamina is unlocked more and complete a hat-trick. Northwest Passage is weighted to have a big say and heads the list of dangers ahead of Magna Gee Gee and Royal Alliance.

Magna Gee Gee can go well but SPIRIT OF JURA (nap) may be able to uphold last month's Southwell placings to complete her hat-trick.

Further Measure has to be of interest following two wins at Southwell last month, but this is more demanding and preference is for Fergal O'Brien's ORCHESTRA. The five-year-old was only beaten a nose into second over C&D five weeks ago and a subsequent wind operation could help him go one better. Currumbin and The Colorist are others with strong form claims.

ALEX THE GREAT proved at least as good as ever when doubling his tally at this C&D last month, both wins with Jack Doughty in the saddle, and he could be capable of following up having had only the 5 starts at around this trip. Further Measure is respected in his bid for a hat-trick, while Orchestra remains unexposed at this distance on the Flat.

Topweight ORCHESTRA went down narrowly over C&D five weeks ago and can go one better having undergone wind surgery since.
Ths is the racecard key.
