1st (2) (5/4 +17%)Secret Trix |
5/4(+17%) | (2) Secret Trix 5/4, Ran to form when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in a beginners' chase over 2m7f at Newcastle last time; effective over 3m on a sound surface and generally consistent over hurdles and fences. Six hurdle wins but he's 0-4 over fences and might have to play a supporting role again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ONE BIG BANG reached a fair level over the smaller obstacles and finished a creditable third in a Listed handicap at Punchestown in May. James Owen's charge now makes his chasing debut and this could prove to be a straightforward task. Secret Trix is rated 7lb inferior to his sole rival and lacked any fluency in his jumping at Newcastle last time, so he looks up against it.

This can go to ONE BIG BANG, who is a useful triple winner over hurdles and could have a bright future at this new discipline.

1st (1) (11/4 -278%)Ice In The Veins |
11/4(-278%) | (1) Ice In The Veins 11/4, Quickened clear with ease and improved in first-time hood, outclassing rivals down in grade when winning a novice hurdle at Warwick over 2m3f by 10l last time; effective at 2m on good ground and continuing to progress. Hacked up in a bumper on debut and easily beat 2 rivals in his third hurdle; promising. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (6/5 +60%)Jimbo Sport |
6/5(+60%) | (3) Jimbo Sport 6/5, Made a very promising debut when winning a bumper at Hereford by 2l last time; trainer in form and looks a threat. Quite useful Irish point form; workmanlike bumper win for new yard in March; hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (5/2 +55%)Kool Kid |
5/2(+55%) | (4) Kool Kid 5/2, Showed modest form on hurdle debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective at 2m on good to soft ground and should improve for that initial experience. Close up in two Irish points; won Hereford bumper in February; well held on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (33/1 +0%)Solanna |
33/1(+0%) | (6) Solanna 33/1, Outpaced but made a promising hurdle debut when third, beaten 24l in a novice hurdle at Fakenham last time; consistent over middle distances on the Flat where a multiple winner, effective at 2m over hurdles and likely to suit sharp tracks. Eight Flat wins at up to 1m3f; minor promise when 3rd on hurdle debut; should do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (16/1 -60%)Golden Circet |
16/1(-60%) | (2) Golden Circet 16/1, Showed greenness and made mistakes but improved from debut when second, beaten 21l in a maiden hurdle at Plumpton last time; effective up to 2m2f and gaining experience with each run. Three Flat wins (best RPR 82); always behind in two hurdle runs but open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (50/1 -52%)Reteti |
50/1(-52%) | (5) Reteti 50/1, Stopped quickly and was comfortably held in a handicap over 8f at Doncaster last time; wears a hood for the first time after a break and needs to show much more to feature. Has shown some ability in bumpers and on Flat; lack of hurdle experience is against him. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ice In The Veins took a step forward to justify cramped odds at Warwick six days ago and is respected, but he might find it tough to give his penalty away to JIMBO SPORT. The son of No Risk At All made his sole bumper start a successful one at Hereford in March and now makes his first appearance in this sphere. With the Ben Pauling yard in great form, he looks the one to side with. Golden Circet completes the shortlist.

Bumper winner Jimbo Sport makes some appeal now hurdling but preference is for ICE IN THE VEINS who was a ready winner last week.

6/5(+36%) | (5) Kasino Des Mottes 6/5, Made a promising debut when comfortably held in a 3m novice hurdle at Cheltenham last time; effective over 3m, acts on good ground, and can find a race quickly now dropped in grade. Irish point winner and was a promising fifth on hurdle debut at Cheltenham; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/10 +67%)Fresh Kicks |
11/10(+67%) | (4) Fresh Kicks 11/10, Stable has won the last two runnings of this race; produced a very promising debut when beaten 4l in a 2m bumper at Warwick last time; could feature. Yard has won this three times in last four years; interesting contender on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (100/1 -355%)Alan Bresil |
100/1(-355%) | (2) Alan Bresil 100/1, Showed modest ability on debut when third beaten 4 1/2l in a 2m4f maiden at Charm Park; returning from a long layoff and has plenty to find. Held in third of six in sole point and is best watched on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/1 +44%)Back It Up |
9/1(+44%) | (3) Back It Up 9/1, Pulled up in a 3m conditions race at Horseheath last time; returns from a long layoff and looks difficult to fancy. Record of 4-8 in points and he needs watching in market on first run for James Owen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (12/1 -118%)Breezethroughlife |
12/1(-118%) | (1) Breezethroughlife 12/1, Improved when stepped up in trip and benefitting from a drop in grade to win a maiden hurdle at Fakenham over 2m4f by 2 1/2l last time; effective between 2m and 2 1/2m, acts on good ground, and continues to progress. Won on stable debut at Fakenham last month and he's respected under a penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (125/1 -25%)Locked On |
125/1(-25%) | (6) Locked On 125/1, Improved for a step up in trip when comfortably held in a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Fontwell last time; absent for a very lengthy period and difficult to fancy. Well held in two bumpers and same story at massive prices in two hurdle runs in April. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner KASINO DES MOTTES showed ability when fifth over 3m at Cheltenham last month and may appreciate this drop in trip. Joe Tizzard's five-year-old makes just his second start over hurdles and could have lots more to offer. Breezethroughlife got off the mark on his first outing for the Neil King stable and it would be no surprise to see him feature, despite his penalty. Talk To The Man is one to watch in the betting market.

Several have claims but hurdling newcomer FRESH KICKS gets the vote for a yard that has won this three times in the last four years.

1st (8) (6/5 +52%)Turndlightsdownlow |
6/5(+52%) | (8) Turndlightsdownlow 6/5, Went clear with ease and improved up in trip when landing a handicap by 11l off 95 here last time. A 3m point-to-point winner who may do better over staying trips over hurdles and looks progressive. Lightly raced 5yo; came clear on handicap debut over C&D; up 10lb; should progress further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (13/2 -95%)Sun Joy |
13/2(-95%) | (9) Sun Joy 13/2, Ran to form when benefiting from a drop in grade to land a handicap by 4l off 99 at Ludlow last time. Effective around 2 1/2m, needs decent ground, and arrives in form. 2-15, ending losing run latest (2m5f); has won off 2lb higher in the past; can threaten. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (18/1 +28%)Night Stalker |
18/1(+28%) | (6) Night Stalker 18/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Warwick last time. Effective around 2 1/2m, suited by good ground, and may do better at 3m. Runner-up in two maiden hurdles; found little on handicap debut; others more likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (12/1 +40%)Block Rockin Beats |
12/1(+40%) | (3) Block Rockin Beats 12/1, Made too much use of early and needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Chepstow last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and should come on for that reappearance. Useful bumper form; hurdle career stuttered; ran no race on handicap debut last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -9%)Guchen |
12/1(-9%) | (4) Guchen 12/1, Made too much use of and needed the run when beaten 8l in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Chepstow last time. Effective around 2 1/2m, acts on soft and good to soft, and has been steadily progressive in maidens. 0-5 but placed in all three qualifying runs and creditable handicap debut; should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (16/1 -78%)Cuban Court |
16/1(-78%) | (10) Cuban Court 16/1, Needed the run when fourth, beaten 14l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Uttoxeter last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on a sound surface, though his mark demands more. Completed a Huntingdon double (2m3f) in the spring; should be better for 2m comeback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (22/1 -175%)Bertie Wooster |
22/1(-175%) | (2) Bertie Wooster 22/1, Made mistakes and did not find much when 24l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Plumpton on his most recent start. This is his second run after wind surgery and he is worth another go over further. Similar mark as hurdle win in April 2024; mixed over fences; competitive back hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (8/1 +33%)Jefe Triunfo |
8/1(+33%) | (5) Jefe Triunfo 8/1, Unseated in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. The trainer is in form, and he is effective from 2m to 2 1/2m. Unlucky latest and could make amends. Won 2m maiden; stiff task on handicap debut; well held over C&D on latest completion. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (8/1 -33%)Jet Of Dreams |
8/1(-33%) | (7) Jet Of Dreams 8/1, Won by 5l off 110 over 2m at Sedgefield two starts ago and ran to form when third, beaten 6l off 107 last time. Suited by 2m on good ground, consistent but fully exposed to the handicapper. Five chase wins; fair third off lower hurdle mark latest; rare to see him over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (12/1 -60%)Baltray |
12/1(-60%) | (1) Baltray 12/1, Travelled well and ran to form when beaten 3l off 109 over 2m6f at Stratford last time, having been out-battled late back from a break. Effective around 2 1/2m but not the strongest finisher. Sole win in maiden hurdle in 2023; sound effort latest; back up 2lb; can go well. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An opening mark of 95 proved lenient for last month's C&D winner Turndlightsdownlow and he must enter calculations on his follow-up bid. However, a 10lb hike from the assessor does demand more from the five-year-old and fellow last-time-out winner SUN JOY is potentially better handicapped. A 6lb rise for his Ludlow victory looks workable and a third victory over hurdles may beckon. Cuban Court could also figure if building on his fourth-placed reappearance at Uttoxeter.

A few of these are worth a look but TURNDLIGHTSDOWNLOW (nap) came clear in good style over C&D recently and can defy a 10lb rise.

1st (2) (7/2 +30%)Idy Wood |
7/2(+30%) | (2) Idy Wood 7/2, Scored by 1/4l off 123 over 2m4f at Uttoxeter on his penultimate start. Had every chance and ran to form when fourth, beaten 7l off 127 last time. Best at around 2m4f but this mark demands more. Made all back hurdling at Uttoxeter (2m4f); creditable fourth in Silver Trophy at Chepstow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (11/2 +27%)Eyed |
11/2(+27%) | (5) Eyed 11/2, Form franked and wants further, ran to form when fourth, beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Sandown last time. Good mark on chase form but may need stiffer test Did well chasing last term; first hurdle race now since April 2023; 5lb higher chase mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/1 +0%)Below The Radar |
5/1(+0%) | (6) Below The Radar 5/1, Ran to form when beaten a neck off 116 over 2m4f at Ayr last time and is not out of it returning from a break for top yard. Beaten a neck when final-flight mistake cost him at Ayr (2m4f) last time; up just 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (3/1 +33%)Saint Anapolino |
3/1(+33%) | (1) Saint Anapolino 3/1, All but fell mid race and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Cheltenham last time. Wears a hood for the first time, effective between 2m and 2m4f, and his mark looks about right. Shaped as if in need of the run on reappearance at Cheltenham (18-1); hood goes on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (20/1 +20%)Supreme Yeats |
20/1(+20%) | (7) Supreme Yeats 20/1, Outpaced and given too much to do when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Cheltenham last time. Suited by a sound surface and 3m, and generally consistent. Latest result is probably best forgiven but he needs to find a bit extra even so. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (16/1 -482%)Sixty Plus |
16/1(-482%) | (3) Sixty Plus 16/1, Travelled smoothly and won comfortably when improving again up in trip, landing a handicap by 2l off 114 over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Enjoys making the running, returns after a short break, and remains progressive. Front-runner; won four in a row and it may well be rash to rule out further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (3/1 +25%)Busy Being Busy |
3/1(+25%) | (4) Busy Being Busy 3/1, Returned to form after a reappearance, beaten a nose off 118 over 2m6f at Newton Abbot last time. Trainer in form and usually held up; effective at around 2m4f on good or good to soft ground. Still progressing and fairly treated. Beaten a nose at Newton Abbot (2m5f) last month, so he's heading the right way again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SIXTY PLUS hasn't looked back since racing under the tutelage of James Owen and a 10lb higher mark may not be enough to prevent a five-timer. The five-year-old scored a shade cosily at the expense of a subsequent winner on his latest outing at Worcester and has more than earned a crack at this rise in class. Saint Anapolino returned with a respectable sixth in a 20-runner affair at Cheltenham and is feared most, ahead of Busy Being Busy.

Nearly all can be seriously fancied. BUSY BEING BUSY, Below The Radar, Sixty Plus and Saint Anapolino are the shortlist.

1st (5) (1/1 +47%)She Is For Me Boys |
1/1(+47%) | (5) She Is For Me Boys 1/1, Quickened clear readily and improved up in trip when winning a novice hurdle at Fontwell over 2m3f by 6 1/2l last time; well treated on hurdle form; yard can get them ready after a break; strong claims. Won an Irish point and two novice hurdles; chase/handicap debutante with clear potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (4/1 +0%)Ilovethenightlife |
4/1(+0%) | (4) Ilovethenightlife 4/1, Won this race last year; unseated rider mid race in a handicap chase at Cheltenham latest; mark fair and looks the pick on race times. Mixed record over fences but won this race last year and has to be considered on same mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -27%)It's Easy |
14/1(-27%) | (6) It's Easy 14/1, Made mistakes but still ran to form, preferring some give when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m at Cheltenham last time; a consistent type. Probably needs her best for two years if she's to hold today's less exposed rivals at bay. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/1 +0%)Georgi Girl |
5/1(+0%) | (3) Georgi Girl 5/1, Ran to form when 11l third in a handicap chase at Cheltenham on her most recent run; may prefer a flatter track such as this. Could brush up her jumping somewhat but firmly in the mix on last season's chase form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (50/1 -525%)Popova |
50/1(-525%) | (1) Popova 50/1, Raced wide and had too much to do when beaten 3/4l off a mark of 126 over 2m4f at Clonmel last time; should get further; may just need this on stable debut Won the first of her four chases for Henry de Bromhead; others might be better handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (4/1 -14%)Shantwopointfive |
4/1(-14%) | (2) Shantwopointfive 4/1, Travelled well and won readily, improving when dropped in grade to land a handicap by 3 1/2l off 118 over 2m6f at Cartmel last time; has a bit to find. Progressive February-May, culminating in second hurdles win; promising recruit to chasing. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SHE IS FOR ME BOYS arrives here on the back of two impressive novice hurdle victories earlier in the year and a mark of 104 may underestimate Jamie Snowden's mare if she takes to fences. Shantwopointfive was also successful over hurdles when last seen and could prove to be the main threat, although Popova and Georgi Girl should not be discounted.

Ilovethenightlife won it last year but SHANTWOPOINTFIVE and She Is For Me Boys are promising chase debutantes.

1st (1) (11/4 -10%)Final Straw |
11/4(-10%) | (1) Final Straw 11/4, Made mistakes and was outpaced when running to form, finishing fourth beaten 20l in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell last time. Cheekpieces on for the first time after a short break; consistent type, though his mark demands more. Beaten at least 16l in three qualifying races (2m-2m4f) but a top stable rings the changes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (9/1 -100%)Hurst Hill |
9/1(-100%) | (3) Hurst Hill 9/1, Briefly threatened but tired up the hill when fourth beaten 33l in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective from 2m5f to 3m2f and suited by a sound surface; had been in fair form until that run. Did well this summer; beaten 33l latest start (Plumpton 3m1f) but she was close up two out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/1 -69%)Avada Kedavra |
11/1(-69%) | (2) Avada Kedavra 11/1, Had every chance but ran below form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time. Effective at around 2½m, though stamina may be a concern now stepping back up in trip. Won a maiden point in March but he's 0-7 under rules; takes a major step back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (11/1 +67%)Needtoknow |
11/1(+67%) | (9) Needtoknow 11/1, Stepped up in trip but possibly failed to stay when fourth beaten 20l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Ludlow last time. Effective around 2m6f but has yet to show much overall. Not as far out of the weights as in her two previous handicaps but beaten 20l in those. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (10/3 -48%)Bebside Banter |
10/3(-48%) | (6) Bebside Banter 10/3, Returned to form when stepped up in trip and back over fences, landing a handicap by 7l off 79 over 2m7f at Worcester last time. Enjoys making the running and looks on a good mark based on chase form. 0-12 over hurdles but four chase wins, including by 7l at Worcester (2m7f) latest start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (16/1 -60%)Harksman |
16/1(-60%) | (4) Harksman 16/1, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Wears a hood for the first time and looks a strong stayer; likely to improve stepped up in trip for handicaps. Market interest for this handicap debut over new trip would be notable; hooded first time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (9/4 +84%)Bollin Thou |
9/4(+84%) | (5) Bollin Thou 9/4, Again ran to a poor level when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Lingfield last time. Returning from a long layoff and should be effective between 2m and 2m4f, but faces a tough task on known form. Tailed off so far; needs a second look with first headgear on handicap debut over new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (40/1 -60%)Solid Fuel |
40/1(-60%) | (7) Solid Fuel 40/1, Found little when finishing down the field in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester last time. Returns after a short break and will need to find improvement to feature here. 1-29; two minor honours this June but lost his way in his three starts since; new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (50/1 -100%)Glorious Mist |
50/1(-100%) | (8) Glorious Mist 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective between 2½m and 3m and acts on good ground, but looks limited on overall evidence. Fontwell second (3m2f) in June 2024 with first-time cheekpieces but has done little since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BEBSIDE BANTER had plenty in hand when winning over fences at Worcester a month ago and, in a race where most have questions to answer, the eight-year-old is hard to oppose now looking to exploit a 2lb lower mark over hurdles. Final Straw may improve now switched to handicaps with first-time cheekpieces applied, while Hurst Hill is the pick of the remainder.

Bedside Banter and Hurst Hill have 2025 form to note, while FINAL STRAW and Bollin Thou are less exposed and interesting.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
