Lightly raced; weighted to reverse Exeter reappearance placings with U Cant Be Serious. |

22/1(-175%) | (5) Jasmine Bliss 22/1, Well backed but keen and possibly found the ground a bit quick when down the field in the ‘National Hunt' Mares' Novice Handicap Hurdle (Grade 2) at Newbury last time; had been in good form prior and returns from a long layoff; open to marked improvement now chasing but may just need this. Generally progressive mare who is a point/bumper/hurdles winner; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +0%)Secret Des Dieux |
10/1(+0%) | (6) Secret Des Dieux 10/1, Scored by 4 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Fakenham on his penultimate start; outpaced but ran to form when third beaten 2 1/2l off 121 last time; effective 2–2 1/2m and acts on good to soft; debut form has knocks but latest form strong and may do better back up in trip. In good form over 2m since switched to fences and should be as effective back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/1 +42%)Queensbury Boy |
7/1(+42%) | (2) Queensbury Boy 7/1, All but brought down late and eased when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Cheltenham last time; effective around 2 1/2m and should come on for that latest run; highly tried over hurdles and worth another chance over fences. He was in the process of showing promise when badly hampered on chase/stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (7/4 +30%)Noble Park |
7/4(+30%) | (4) Noble Park 7/4, The yard has won two of the last ten runnings of this race; landed a handicap by 24l off an 11lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; trainer in form; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on any ground; latest form franked and more to come over fences, could complete the hat-trick. Two from two since switched to chasing; form of easy success last time has been franked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (22/1 -38%)Krak |
22/1(-38%) | (3) Krak 22/1, Keen and paid the price for trying to go with the winner when 22l third in a handicap chase at Sandown most recently; effective around 2 1/2m and may need some cut; can do better for new yard judged on Irish hurdle form. Ex-Irish; something to find on his two efforts for new yard, latest switched to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 -32%)Lumi Plugin |
33/1(-32%) | (10) Lumi Plugin 33/1, Outpaced and not knocked about when finishing lame and well beaten in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time; had been in good form prior; effective around 2 1/2m and should be capable of better over fences. Largely consistent over hurdles but his form dipped sharply on chase/seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (11/2 -22%)U Cant Be Serious |
11/2(-22%) | (1) U Cant Be Serious 11/2, Improved again when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Exeter last time; effective over 2–2 1/2m and acts on soft and good to soft; progressive over fences. Two game wins at Exeter since switched to fences; another gritty display is on the cards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (17/2 +29%)Epic West |
17/2(+29%) | (8) Epic West 17/2, Outpaced and rallied but a bit below form on handicap debut when second beaten 17l in a novice hurdle at Fontwell last time; returns from a long layoff and should relish this longer trip. On a fair mark on hurdle form but not dismissed. Should make a chaser and he's bred to take well to this scenario; interesting contender. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

NOBLE PARK has improved plenty for the switch to fences and looked particularly impressive at Lingfield at the end of last month. That form was given a boost by the runner-up at Ascot last week and going up 11lb doesn't seem likely to stop Nicky Henderson's six-year-old from taking another step up the ladder. U Cant Be Serious has won twice at Exeter and commands respect, although it wouldn't be a major surprise if Barlovento, who was just denied by him in November, can reverse the form on 7lb better terms.

With further progress plausible, NOBLE PARK is taken to complete a hat-trick. Epic West is second choice.

1st (3) (13/8 +19%)Kitzbuhel |
13/8(+19%) | (3) Kitzbuhel 13/8, Travelled strongly and won comfortably on chase debut in a beginners' chase at Punchestown by 1 1/4l; that form has been franked. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and handles any ground; very promising start over fences and looks a classy performer with more to come judged on hurdle form though does have stamina to prove. Smart hurdler who looked good on his chase debut; worth another crack at 3m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (12/1 +52%)Thomas Mor |
12/1(+52%) | (5) Thomas Mor 12/1, Improved from debut to win a beginners' chase at Ascot by 3l when suited by the stiff test down in trip. Effective from 2m5f to 3m and handles good and good to soft ground; has had issues but remains progressive and unexposed over fences. Beat two notable rivals at Ascot when back chasing and he shouldn't be passed over lightly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/2 +9%)Wendigo |
5/2(+9%) | (6) Wendigo 5/2, Built on debut to win the John Francome Novices' Chase (Grade 2) at Newbury by 2l, relishing the stiff test at the trip. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and acts on soft and good ground; debut form has been franked and further progress expected over fences now stepped up in distance. This speed-orientated track might not play to his strengths but he'll be keeping on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (7/2 -40%)Salver |
7/2(-40%) | (4) Salver 7/2, Impressive 12l winner of the Esher Novices' Chase (Grade 2) at Sandown last time under fine patient ride off strong pace; effective from 2m to 3m and well suited by plenty of cut. Unexposed at 3m and looks capable of developing into a top-class staying chaser. Good hurdler and the 12l winner of a 3m Grade 2 on second chase start; up to this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (11/1 -10%)Blueking D'oroux |
11/1(-10%) | (1) Blueking D'oroux 11/1, Won the Rising Stars Novices' Chase (Grade 2) at Wincanton by a length last time; effective at around 2 1/2m but doesn't stay 3m. Suited by a sound surface; classy hurdler who may still have more to offer over fences though stamina remains unproven. Entitled to win a Grade 2 at Wincanton (2m4f, good) a lot more easily than he did. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (12/1 +45%)Crest Of Fortune |
12/1(+45%) | (2) Crest Of Fortune 12/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 9 1/2l, in the John Francome Novices' Chase (Grade 2) at Newbury last time, looking in need of a stiffer test. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m; trainer in form and likely to improve over fences with a step up in trip but this a big ask. Already looks a promising chaser but he's held by Wendigo on their Newbury clash. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Kitzbuhel made a promising start over fences at Punchestown, shaping as though he would appreciate stepping back up in trip. However, it is worth remembering how free he was when tried over 3m at Aintree in the spring and the vote goes to WENDIGO. An unlucky fifth in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, he built on his chasing debut when staying on strongly to win the John Francome at Newbury and the return to 3m promises to bring about plenty of improvement. Salver won in style at Sandown earlier in the month and is another who is unexposed over this distance.

It was a professional start over fences at Punchestown for KITZBUHEL who reached a smart level in just a handful of hurdle runs.

1st (4) (4/7 +0%)Sir Gino |
4/7(+0%) | (4) Sir Gino 4/7, A dual Grade 1 winner from a yard that has taken this race the last three years. Jumped slickly, travelled well and won easily in the Wayward Lad Novice Chase (Grade 2) here by 7 1/2l last time. Grade 1 winner over hurdles last year; returns from a long layoff but top class and the clear speed and form selection. Returns to action after an injury; exciting and unbeaten youngster who is the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/1 -25%)Golden Ace |
5/1(-25%) | (6) Golden Ace 5/1, A dual Grade 1 winner who scored by 1 1/2l in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle (Grade 1) at Newcastle last time aided by fallers. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft or good ground. Fortunate G1 winner but usually runs her race and looks the main threat. Fortuitous winner of the Champion Hurdle and Fighting Fifth but is still a major contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (16/1 +20%)Rubaud |
16/1(+20%) | (3) Rubaud 16/1, Won the Elite Hurdle (Grade 2) at Wincanton by a neck last time. Likes to race prominently and is effective at 2m on a sound surface over hurdles. Not up to top level but reliable just below it and likes the track. Successful this autumn in races at Kempton and Wincanton that he's won twice previously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (4/1 +50%)Celtic Dino |
4/1(+50%) | (1) Celtic Dino 4/1, Bit free and improved again when second, beaten 2 1/2l, in the Ascot Hurdle (Grade 2) at Ascot last time. Trainer in form. Likes to race prominently and is effective over 2m on a sound surface. Continues to progress but vulnerable in this class. Chepstow win is strong handicap form; ran well in Ascot Grade 2 since; progressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (28/1 +30%)Tripoli Flyer |
28/1(+30%) | (5) Tripoli Flyer 28/1, Made mistakes and was again below his hurdle form when fourth, beaten 20l, in a beginners' chase at Exeter last time. Cheekpieces go on for the first time. Has shown previous signs of progress over hurdles but lot to prove up in class back in this discipline. Sole win at Kempton resulted in Dovecote novice win but this is a stiffer assignment. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (50/1 +0%)Give It To Me Oj |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Give It To Me Oj 50/1, Did too much too soon when comfortably held in the Intermediate Handicap Hurdle (Gerry Feilden) at Newbury last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft or good ground. Progressive in both codes until that latest run but may struggle in this class. Came up short when bidding for six-timer (Flat/hurdles); this is a harder task. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Just as she did in the Champion Hurdle, Golden Ace took full advantage of a couple of high-profile fallers to land her second Grade 1 in the Fighting Fifth. The likeable mare might have her work cut out, though, as this could be all about the returning SIR GINO. A perfect six from six so far, Nicky Henderson's charge stormed to victory on his chasing debut in the Wayward Lad here last Christmas before a serious infection put paid to his Arkle tilt. If back at his best, he's sure to take all the beating. Rubaud is two from two since reverting to hurdles and wouldn't be without a squeak, although he and Celtic Dino might only play supporting roles.

Assuming all is well, SIR GINO looks set to maintain his unbeaten record. Golden Ace and Celtic Dino look best of the remainder.

7/1(-8%) | (8) The Jukebox Man 7/1, Jumped well and won cosily when landing a graduation chase at Haydock by 2½l last time beating useful next time out winner. Effective from 2m4f to 3m on soft or good ground. Retains potential after injury and a contender back over the C&D of his Grade 1 success with bold jumping an asset. Won Grade 1 C&D novice 12 months ago; has bundles of potential and could be serious force. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (16/1 +0%)Banbridge |
16/1(+0%) | (1) Banbridge 16/1, Winner of three Grade 1 races and last year's victor of this event. Fourth, beaten 29l, in the Hilly Way Chase (Grade 2) at Cork last time. Effective between 2m and 3m on a sound surface. Form has dipped since King George win but not dismissed if conditions suit with top jockey booked. Won this last season but disappointing on his three starts this year; a visor goes on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/4 +25%)Gaelic Warrior |
9/4(+25%) | (4) Gaelic Warrior 9/4, Five-time Grade 1 winner; landed the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase (Grade 1) at Punchestown by a neck last time beating stablemate Fact To File under a well judged ride. Effective from 2m to 3m1f on soft or good ground and unexposed over staying trips. Can be freegoing and has thrown in the odd below par effort but top class and a leading contender. 7yo who has won his last three, including two Grade 1s, and there's lots to like. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/4 +18%)Jango Baie |
9/4(+18%) | (6) Jango Baie 9/4, Dual Grade 1 winner including Arkle this year; easily won a strong 1965 Chase (Grade 2) at Ascot by 9l last time. Trainer in form, second run after wind surgery. Effective 2–2½m and best on decent ground. Top class and hasn't finished improving. Likely to stay at least 3m in time, and a leading player though this track may not be ideal. Won the Arkle despite the 2m trip; could relish first crack at 3m; firmly in calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 +0%)Djelo |
14/1(+0%) | (2) Djelo 14/1, Made all comfortably and ran to form when landing the Peterborough Chase (Grade 2) at Huntingdon by 5l last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m on soft or good ground. Progressive and prolific in Grade 2 company but looks vulnerable at the highest level and this a very hot renewal. 0-5 in Grade 1s but he's only seven and has won two Grade 2s under penalties this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (3/1 +10%)Fact To File |
3/1(+10%) | (3) Fact To File 3/1, Winner of four Grade 1s including Ryanair this year; second by a neck in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase (Grade 1) at Punchestown latest where forced to make big move to try and reel in leader. Effective 2m4f–3m on soft or good to soft. A touch unlucky last time, one of the best chasers around, and this sharp track should suit given others are stronger stayers at the trip. 4 Grade 1 wins; suspicion a shorter trip is optimal, but a leading candidate nevertheless. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (100/1 +33%)Master Chewy |
100/1(+33%) | (7) Master Chewy 100/1, Failed to stay when fourth, beaten 53l, in the 1965 Chase (Grade 2) at Ascot last time. Effective at 2m and just about stays 2½m. Generally consistent but looks better suited by a shorter trip and likely outclassed at the top level. Two-time 2m Grade 2 winner; 3m may be within range but a clear career best is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (20/1 -11%)Il Est Francais |
20/1(-11%) | (5) Il Est Francais 20/1, Dual Grade 1 winner; narrowly denied in this last year having done plenty early; pulled up in the 1965 Chase (Grade 2) at Ascot last time. Effective around 2½m and only just stays 3m. Erratic but classy when on song and seems to like this venue where he won the 2024 Feltham (Grade 1). Very up and down, pulled up at Ascot latest; Kempton factor means he's worth a second look. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

This prize has made it's way back across the Irish Sea for three of the last four years and might do so once more courtesy of GAELIC WARRIOR. Willie Mullins' seven-year-old is not without his quirks, but things really clicked into gear at the end of last season, landing the Bowl at Aintree before following up at Sandown. He returned to deny stable companion Fact To File in a pulsating John Durkan and although little should separate the pair again, Gaelic Warrior can continue his love affair with right-handed tracks. Nicky Henderson is without a King George victory since the enigmatic Might Bite obliged in 2017 but Arkle winner Jango Baie looks a live threat, especially with this trip sure to suit. Djelo adds strength to the home contingent, and it would be dangerous to rule out last year's one-two Banbridge and Il Est Francais.

Having thrived since being upped to 3m1f at Aintree, GAELIC WARRIOR (nap) can post his fourth win in a row and sixth Grade 1 success.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (7/2 +46%)Lock Stock |

14/1(+0%) | (11) Heron In The Park 14/1, Improved for debut experience when beaten 10l in a novice hurdle at Newbury last time in better race than this. In good form prior and returns after a short break; effective from 2-3m and acts on soft and good; point and bumper winner with strong form. Newbury bumper winner; fifth over hurdles there last month; more improvement needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (40/1 -21%)Mount Bonete |
40/1(-21%) | (9) Mount Bonete 40/1, Won a maiden bumper at Worcester by 1 1/4l on debut but has been absent for a very lengthy period; hard to recommend starting out over hurdles. Bumper win was back in October 2022; makes hurdling debut after mammoth layoff. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

KLUB DE REVE brings a decent level of hurdling form to the table, with his fourth at Newbury followed by him filling the runner-up spot at Exeter, and Harry Derham's gelding has an excellent opportunity to get off the mark. Lock Stock has been knocking on the door this season and is capable of going close along with Zamek, who finished second at Lingfield on his first spin over timber.

Harry Derham and Paul O'Brien combined to win this race in 2023 and in KLUB DE REVE they have another appealing contender.

6/1(+14%) | (4) Believitanducan 6/1, Travelled well and improved again when winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Plumpton last time. Effective between 2m and 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good to soft. Still looks fairly treated and may have more to offer. 2m5f win last time made it 3-5 over hurdles (all on softer than good); progressing well. |

7th (9) (18/1 -125%)Jus De Citron |
18/1(-125%) | (9) Jus De Citron 18/1, Below form but stayed the longer trip when third, beaten 19l, in a novice hurdle here last time after a long layoff. Effective at 2 1/2m and handles good to soft. Latest form has been franked though opening mark looks demanding. Unclear whether he'll be spot on for comeback, but highly unexposed and should do better. |

8th (2) (28/1 +15%)Emailandy |
28/1(+15%) | (2) Emailandy 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Newbury last time. Blinkers applied for the first time after a short break. Effective at 2 1/2m but currently out of form. Achieved little in last five races; blinkers instead of cheekpieces needs to work wonders. |

9th (7) (28/1 -300%)Paso Doble |
28/1(-300%) | (7) Paso Doble 28/1, Won by 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Fontwell three starts ago and ran to form when second, beaten 4l, off 122 last time. Effective between 2m and 2m7f, acts on good and good to soft. Handicapper has him about right; drop in trip should suit. Solid record here; 3-10 over hurdles but he needs to find extra in this warmer race. |

|F| (5) (11/4 +31%)Onewaywest |
11/4(+31%) | (5) Onewaywest 11/4, Quickened clear to win a handicap by 5 1/2l off an 11lb lower mark at Wetherby last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and handles soft and good to soft. Progressive and still appears ahead of his mark. Totally dominant from the front on soft under E England in both starts this term; up 11lb. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It will be interesting to see how North Lodge fares on his first appearance since December 2023 and Alan King's gelding has been given a decent chance by the handicapper if fully firing. However, it is his stable companion BELIEVITANDUCAN who is preferred. The four-year-old benefited from stepping up in trip at Plumpton and a 4lb rise appears more than fair. Onewaywest is progressive and could have more to offer on his hat-trick bid, while Kap Boy and Jus De Citron are others to consider.

Drying ground conditions might suit HAMSIYANN, so he gets the vote ahead of Onewaywest, Believitanducan and Kap Boy.
Ths is the racecard key.
