5/2(+29%) | (6) Thankyouandplease 5/2, Ran to form when beaten 5 1/4l into third in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective from 2m to 2 3/4m, may stay 3m, and remains competitive at this trip. 0-7 over hurdles but ran well on both starts for new stable this autumn; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/2 +29%)Aggagio |
5/2(+29%) | (1) Aggagio 5/2, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Windsor last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good or good to soft ground. Now below his last winning mark and could bounce back. Not competitive at Windsor last time but could be hard to beat at this much lower level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (40/1 -60%)Lupus Regem |
40/1(-60%) | (5) Lupus Regem 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow on his latest start. Effective at 2m and acts with cut but has been largely out of form since returning from a long lay-off. Generally very disappointing last season and pulled up when back in action last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/4 +66%)Raffles Nobu |
11/4(+66%) | (4) Raffles Nobu 11/4, Made mistakes and may have found the ground too quick when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Kempton last time. Effective at 2m and handles cut in the ground, though yet to reproduce his French form. Ran okay at Kempton last month, his second stable start, and might kick on again here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (4/1 -78%)Snapius |
4/1(-78%) | (2) Snapius 4/1, Had every chance and ran to form when beaten 6 1/4l into third in a handicap hurdle here on his latest run. Effective at 2m, suited by cut in the ground, and a consistent type. Returned from break with pretty good C&D third last month; remains on workable mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (14/1 -27%)Port Or Starboard |
14/1(-27%) | (7) Port Or Starboard 14/1, Made no show from off the pace when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las on his latest run. Effective at 2m and acts on soft or good ground, but needs more and may not be the force of old. Returned from break with two disappointing run (Flat/hurdles) and needs to turn a corner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (28/1 -600%)Almeirinda |
28/1(-600%) | (3) Almeirinda 28/1, Raced wide and was outpaced, probably needing the run when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last time. This is her second run after wind surgery; acts with cut and showed minor promise in France, may need more time for her new yard. Well beaten in maiden on British debut in April but could be a different proposition here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SNAPIUS makes some appeal in here as he'll no doubt take a step forward for his comeback run at the track last month. He goes well on deep ground and is taken to be bang there at the business end, along with Aggagio, who is the sole C&D winner in the field. Thankyouandplease wasn't disgraced at Plumpton recently and is another of interest.

Class-dropper AGGAGIO should be too good for this field if back on song and is taken to record a second C&D success.

12/1(+14%) | (8) Amazing Cleni 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Huntingdon latest. Trainer in form; effective at 2m but yet to match bumper form over hurdles and needs more over fences. Soundly beaten in both handicap hurdles and pulled up on recent chase debut; lots to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (11/2 +80%)Nine Nine Nine |
11/2(+80%) | (9) Nine Nine Nine 11/2, Outpaced and never threatened when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at 2m4f–2m7f and acts on heavy and good to soft ground; respected down 2lb. Would appeal more on slower ground but runs this track well and enters calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/2 -38%)Kingston Gent |
11/2(-38%) | (1) Kingston Gent 11/2, Up in trip but didn't get home when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Exeter last time. Fair mark on best hurdle form but inconsistent in that sphere. 0-9 over hurdles; makes chase debut from workable mark but needs to better recent efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/2(-83%) | (6) Ronnies Reflection 11/2, Returned to form back from a break on easy ground when beaten 1¼l off 86 at Fontwell last time. Effective at 2¾m and suited by cut; should build on that effort and has a good course record. Dual C&D winner last season and ran well on last month's reappearance outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (12/1 -9%)Mary's Fortune |
12/1(-9%) | (4) Mary's Fortune 12/1, Made mistakes and needed the run when fourth, beaten 21l in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee latest. May need some cut and is out of form for this yard. Returned from break with fairly encouraging run in October; needs to build on that here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (9/2 +68%)Steal The Moves |
9/2(+68%) | (11) Steal The Moves 9/2, Promising debut when fourth, beaten 7l in a handicap chase at Lingfield latest. Effective at 2½–3m and acts on heavy and good ground. More to come over fences and a strong player. Unexposed 5yo who made promising seasonal/handicap/chase debut last month; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (22/1 -175%)Butchers Bill |
22/1(-175%) | (2) Butchers Bill 22/1, Outpaced and below form on stable debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Worcester last time. 9/2(+25%) | (7) Wonder Of The Seas 9/2, Fell in a handicap chase at Ffos Las latest. Returning from a long layoff; effective around 3m and acts on heavy ground. Fair mark but has a bit to prove back from a break. Absent since last autumn but has good claims here if he returns in good nick. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RONNIES REFLECTION won over the track and trip a couple of times last season and made a really pleasing return to action last month at Fontwell. Beaten just over a length into second that day, he's expected to have come forward and makes plenty of appeal back at his lucky venue. Kingston Gent is noted for an in-form yard and Everyonesacritic is respected as well.

Unexposed 5yo STEAL THE MOVES has plenty of scope to progress from last month's very encouraging chase/handicap debut.

1st (5) (5/1 -67%)The Cistercian |
5/1(-67%) | (5) The Cistercian 5/1, Improved from debut when third, beaten 18l, in a maiden hurdle at Galway last time after a short break. Effective at 2m and his Irish form looks among the best on offer. Every chance on stable debut. Placed in 16-runner Galway maiden in September; can feature on debut for new stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (15/2 -400%)Onefournine |
15/2(-400%) | (7) Onefournine 15/2, Made a very promising debut when winning by 4 1/2l in a maiden at Curraghmore. Off a long absence since and likely more to come under rules. Bought for £170,000 soon after impressive Irish point debut in October 2024; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/4 +92%)Catch On Me |
9/4(+92%) | (2) Catch On Me 9/4, Needed the run on stable debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Taunton latest after a long layoff. Effective at 2m and handles soft ground. Well treated on these terms based on French form and could bounce back. Placed over hurdles in France; well beaten on British debut in February and not seen since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (8/1 -100%)Northanger Abbey |
8/1(-100%) | (4) Northanger Abbey 8/1, Made mistakes but showed promise when fourth, beaten 12l, in a maiden hurdle at Southwell latest. Effective at 2m and handles soft ground. Brings plenty of potential for a good yard and should improve, though may want further in time. Second in two Irish points last autumn and made quite encouraging hurdle debut last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (2/1 +67%)Caballero Cliff |
2/1(+67%) | (1) Caballero Cliff 2/1, Ran well to a point but found little when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Newbury last time; had been in good form before that. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good to soft ground. Maiden in bumpers but showed high-class form and could win over hurdles soon. Fourth in last season's Champion Bumper and shaped well on recent hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (10/1 +0%)Lady Dapple Rose |
10/1(+0%) | (6) Lady Dapple Rose 10/1, Very promising debut here when second, beaten 1l, in a maiden hurdle after going for home early and setting it up for a closer. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Consistent in a short career and can do better if ridden a little more patiently. Displayed clear promise in both bumpers and when second of four over C&D on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (50/1 -178%)Joe Masseria |
50/1(-178%) | (3) Joe Masseria 50/1, Never threatened after missing the break when down the field in a Kempton handicap last time; regressive on flat and difficult to fancy. Useful on the Flat in his prime but his third in October came in a low-grade handicap. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ONEFOURNINE won a point-to-point in October 2024 and now makes her Rules debut for a shrewd operation. She could be anything and the market will be particularly interesting, while The Cistercian is another to bear in mind on the back of his Galway third. Northanger Abbey struggled to land a blow at Southwell but his point form behind Real Quartz reads well.

Champion Bumper fourth CABALLERO CLIFF ran well for a long way in a pretty good Newbury maiden hurdle last month and gets the nod.

1st (2) (5/2 +25%)Irish Chorus |
5/2(+25%) | (2) Irish Chorus 5/2, All but fell when closing and was eased after looking a threat when fourth beaten 23l in a handicap chase at Lingfield latest. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Fairly treated on spring form and can do much better over fences. In contention for a place at least before penultimate-fence error on recent chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/7 +37%)Settle Down Jill |
4/7(+37%) | (1) Settle Down Jill 4/7, Made mistakes but ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 108 at Warwick last time. Probably needs 2 1/2m and acts on good ground. A point winner who has been highly tried under rules and likely to find this company tough. Creditable third in deeper race than this at Warwick last month; could be hard to catch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 +14%)Lynsey Larue |
6/1(+14%) | (4) Lynsey Larue 6/1, Ran to form but was comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Hereford last time. Largely poor under rules and all to prove. Dual point winner; 0-5 over hurdles but this switched to fences may prompt improvement. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SETTLE DOWN JILL might take some stopping in this if she can build on an improved display at Warwick last time. She was outclassed in Grade 2 company at Wincanton but it was much better last time in a handicap and her leading connections appear to have found her a winnable opening. Irish Chorus and Belle Montrose are the main dangers.

This still looks significantly less competitive than the 0-120 contest in which SETTLE DOWN JILL was a creditable third last month.

1st (2) (4/7 +65%)Kicour La |
4/7(+65%) | (2) Kicour La 4/7, Made a very promising debut when winning a maiden hurdle here by 5l last time. Effective over 2½m and acts on soft ground. Expected to progress further under rules and looks a strong stayer. Won soft-ground C&D maiden by 5l on last month's rules debut; obvious contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (9/1 +36%)Arcadian Star |
9/1(+36%) | (3) Arcadian Star 9/1, Ran to form when finishing 12l third in a maiden hurdle here on his latest start. Effective at 2m on good to soft ground. His bumper form is strong and he continues to progress over hurdles. Kept on for modest third behind Kicour La over C&D last month; more needed again today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (18/1 -29%)Our Bobby Dazzler |
18/1(-29%) | (6) Our Bobby Dazzler 18/1, A bit too free but ran to form on hurdle debut when fourth, beaten 12l in a maiden hurdle here last time. Effective over 2½m and acts on soft ground. Needs to find more to reverse form with the winner. Ran well for a long way when fourth behind Kicour La over C&D last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (14/1 -133%)Holetown |
14/1(-133%) | (7) Holetown 14/1, Showed improvement when comfortably held in a Listed chase at Auteuil last time. Absent for a very lengthy period but looks the pick on balance of form with previous hurdle form in France franked at Graded level. Dual chase winner in France; makes British debut after 399-day absence; market may guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (3/1 -60%)Livingit Du Large |
3/1(-60%) | (5) Livingit Du Large 3/1, Improved again when needing the run to finish 6¼l third in a novice hurdle at Ffos Las last time. Trainer in form. Effective over 2m and handles soft and heavy ground. Progressive type whose earlier win has been franked. Junior hurdle winner; probably needs improvement here but that's possible; new trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KICOUR LA made his Rules debut a winning one, and he was most impressive too. Ben Pauling's charge bolted up in a C&D maiden hurdle last month, giving the impression he could quite easily defy a penalty in this company. Hot To Go also has a penalty for winning here on the same card, but he won over 2m. Livingit Du Large boasts winning Chepstow form and is another to note.

Ben Pauling's KICOUR LA created a fairly good impression when winning over C&D on last month's rules debut and looks the one to beat.

1st (2) (9/2 -64%)Jet Plane |
9/2(-64%) | (2) Jet Plane 9/2, Did too much early when well beaten in a handicap chase at Aintree last time. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3m but may have been flattered by hunter chase form. Ran well over the big Aintree fences last month and is in calmer waters here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (10/3 +63%)Moonshine Man |
10/3(+63%) | (6) Moonshine Man 10/3, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and acts on good ground but may not handle softer conditions; needs to bounce back. Well beaten on soft ground last time but made promising chase debut on good in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (7/2 +13%)William Cody |
7/2(+13%) | (5) William Cody 7/2, Back below his last winning mark and ran to form when beaten 2l off 112 at Catterick last time. Effective around 2 1/2m, handles soft and good ground, and looks competitively weighted. C&D winner; close second at Catterick last month and remains on a good mark; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 -27%)The Good Doctor |
7/2(-27%) | (3) The Good Doctor 7/2, Had every chance and returned to form after a break when beaten 1 1/2l off 120 at Sandown last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and current mark looks about right. Seemingly back in good nick on last month's seasonal debut; claims if aided by new visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (14/1 -56%)Authorized Art |
14/1(-56%) | (1) Authorized Art 14/1, Fell in a Premier Handicap Chase at Ascot last time; likes to race prominently and prefers 2 1/2m on a sound surface. Dropping towards a workable mark and could bounce back over this trip. 0-7 for stable but was close to the pace before falling in a valuable race last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (7/2 +0%)Chief Sunday |
7/2(+0%) | (4) Chief Sunday 7/2, Made mistakes but ran to form when fourth, beaten 11l in a handicap chase at Worcester last time. Consistent over hurdles at 2m but needs to brush up his jumping over fences. 2-6 over hurdles last season; fair fourth in a 2m chase in October; unexposed over 2m4f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

THE GOOD DOCTOR finished last of three at Sandown on his return to action last month, but it wasn't a bad run because he was only beaten a length and a half. If he's improved for it, the six-year-old could be the one sporting a first-time visor. Jet Plane is a big player if recapturing the pick of last season's form, while William Cody also warrants respect.

Well handicapped on some of last season's form, THE GOOD DOCTOR (nap) got his career back on track last month and is the suggestion.

1st (6) (4/1 +50%)Lady Henrietta |
4/1(+50%) | (6) Lady Henrietta 4/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle at Southwell last time; effective from 2m4f to 2m6f and suited by decent ground; generally in good form. Placed three times this autumn but needs to prove herself on soft/heavy ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (13/8 +0%)Dance Rules |
13/8(+0%) | (7) Dance Rules 13/8, Probably wanted further and was never put into the race on his final qualifying run when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot last time; off a long absence; yet to find suitable conditions but likely to improve now handicapping over further. Showed very little in novice hurdles in summer 2024; Sean Bowen booked for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (2/1 +67%)Klic Boum |
2/1(+67%) | (1) Klic Boum 2/1, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; effective from 2m to 2½m; generally consistent, and this longer trip should suit. Kept on for fifth at Chepstow last month and will appreciate this ease in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (8/1 -33%)Jewel Eyed Judy |
8/1(-33%) | (5) Jewel Eyed Judy 8/1, Improved down in trip for a ready win, landing a handicap by 5l off 76 here last time; usually held up; effective at 2½m and acts on soft ground; may have a bit more to offer now she has her head in front. Returned to form with ready C&D win on seasonal debut and is not yet fully exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -71%)Richardson |
12/1(-71%) | (4) Richardson 12/1, Landed a handicap by 8l off 79 at Bangor-on-Dee last time when returning from a long layoff; usually held up; effective over 2½m and suited by plenty of cut; was thriving when last seen and a threat if fit for his return. Won twice on slow ground in February but has fitness to prove after nine-month absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Richardson seemed to find a new lease of life when scoring twice in February at Chepstow and Bangor but whether he can return in that kind of form remains to be seen. Ten Ten Twenty is also noted, but the vote goes to DANCE RULES. His hurdles form to date wouldn't offer much in terms of encouragement, but the fact he is now owned by Paul Byrne shouldn't be ignored and he could go well on his handicap debut.

The most obvious answer is JEWEL EYED JUDY, who came good with a clearcut C&D win on her recent seasonal debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
