Dancing Terror made his way through the field to record a debut victory over track and trip on New Year's Eve and with any amount of improvement to come, he has to be considered. However, it may be a tough ask to give his 4lb penalty away to the 85-rated WINNEBAGO. Tom Clover's three-year-old has taken the silver medal home on both of his last two starts at Yarmouth and this step up in trip could bring out the improvement required to go one better. Any market confidence behind newcomer Express Train would be interesting.

WINNEBAGO was beaten only by a couple of useful sorts when twice runner-up at Yarmouth in the autumn and this looks an excellent opportunity. Andrew Balding's newcomer Express Train may emerge as the biggest threat with Dancing Terror winning just an ordinary C&D novice on New Year's Eve.

Tom Clover's WINNEBAGO should have a good chance if his turf form is transferred and a stablemate pulled off a similar feat this week.

MICK'S SPIRIT produced a 25/1 surprise when successful by a short head over C&D last month and is only 2lb higher for that triumph. With Daniel Muscutt booked and a plum draw in stall 1, it would be no surprise to see him lead from pillar to post again. Rosenpur is in fine form, making it two wins out of his last three outings at Wolverhampton last time, and should remain competitive, while Harb is another to note.

POP DANCER wasn't seen to best effect when fourth behind Rosenpur at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago so is worth another chance off a tempting mark. Rosenpur is an obvious threat again with Coolagh Magic another to consider.

While none of them are that easy to dismiss from e-w claims, the most likely winners may well be MICK'S SPIRIT and Coolagh Magic.

Diamondonthehill has made the frame in this grade on both of his last two outings, most recently at Southwell, and has to be respected off a workable mark. However, the vote goes to CAVALRY CALL, who finished a fair fourth at Southwell on his most recent start and was kindly dropped 1lb for that effort. The four-year-old sports first-time cheekpieces, which could eke out the improvement required to regain the winning thread. Last-time-out course scorer (7f) Rey De La Batalla completes the shortlist.

The extended 1m at Wolverhampton seemed to just stretch INVINCIBLE AURA last time and he can resume winning ways. Thapa Vc, Diamondonthehill and Bravo Zulu head the dangers in a competitive handicap.

Invincible Aura and Al Waqidi are shortlisted but REY DE LA BATALLA has improved this winter and may back up his recent 7f win.

FRANKIES DREAM has made good progress lately and having already seen off a few of these in past encounters, has an obvious chance of registering a fourth success since the turn of the year. Admittedly, the son of Belardo is creeping up the handicap and, armed with a 14lb pull at the weights from the last time they met, Flicka's Girl rates a big danger on the revised terms. Virtue Temperance can also figure after a near-miss on her all-weather debut at Chelmsford when last seen in October.

The thriving FRANKIES DREAM improved again in defeat at Southwell last week and may be able to land a fourth win of 2025. Rossa Ryan's mount Monomyth is second choice ahead of Early Release and Commendation, a new recruit for Michael Keady.

The cards won't always fall right for FRANKIES DREAM (nap) but they have in three of his last six starts and he's on the up.

FACT OR FABLE and Repartee cross swords again after finishing third and fourth in a handicap at Kempton on Wednesday night and it would come as no surprise to see the former, who is a dual winner on Polytrack, cement his authority in this weaker-looking event. Conquest Of Power and Invincible Navy are the best in at the weights according to official ratings and they also warrant consideration.

CONQUEST OF POWER settled better than can be the case and ran well when finishing runner-up over the extended 1m trip at Wolverhampton 6 days ago. He looks to hold solid claims with a repeat at this level and earns the vote. Fact Or Fable and So Chic may emerge next best.

The ones to concentrate on may be CONQUEST OF POWER, Fact Or Fable and So Chic, who are preferred in that order.

A first-time visor won't need to draw much improvement from ALICE'S IMPACT for her to make the most of stepping up in trip and come out on top here. Capallcliste is another appealing option based on his peak form and merits close inspection on his debut run for a new yard. Brinton and Rainbow Sign have also shown enough to suggest they can be on the premises in a weak event like this.

CAPALLCLISTE went close to breaking his duck on 3 of his last 4 starts during the second half of last season and he could be worth siding with to make a winning start for his new yard here. Brinton is proving consistent and she's a threat, with Rainbow Sign and Alice's Impact also in with a shout.

It's not an easy choice at this low level but CAPALLCLISTE may make a winning debut for his new yard. Brinton is second on the list.

Having regained the winning thread in ready fashion at Chelmsford 17 days ago, another bold bid is forecast from ARCADIAN NIGHTS. A 3lb nudge up in the ratings for the seven-year-old looks lenient and an 11th career triumph could be imminent. The biggest threat may emerge from recent C&D scorer Raintown, who boasts a similar profile to the selection. Fellow in-form rival Epsom Faithfull is the pick of the remainder.

A case can be made for most of these but ARCADIAN NIGHTS ran out an emphatic winner at Chelmsford City last time and is taken to defy a 3 lb weight rise. Not Me heads the list of dangers on the back of a good Southwell fourth with the promise of more to come over this longer distance. Raintown, Epsom Faithfull and Waterloo Sunset can all have a say too.

A few of these are in good form but the ones with most potential are the lightly raced 4yos NOT ME and Parkland.

Baikal appeared to relish a switch to the all-weather when scoring over track and trip last month and a 2lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another good account. However, HONRADO found only a subsequent winner too strong in classified company over 1m4f here in late January and Tony Carroll's charge is slightly more compelling. Come On John is also down in distance and an improved performance wouldn't surprise.

HONRADO took a step forward for his current yard when a clear second here last time out and with the winner having scored again since he is fancied to get off the mark. Baikal is feared most on the back of a recent C&D success, although Come On John is weighted to go well too and both Nasim and Venus Slipper must also enter calculations.

This can go to HONRADO, who returned to form and kept on very nicely for a clear second in a 1m4f classified here last month.

A first-time visor proved just the trick for recent Wolverhampton winner Marvellous Lady, but she has more on her plate reverting to handicap company under a penalty. With that in mind, it could be worth siding with the lightly-raced CARD SHARK. The son of Dark Angel posted a solid third in a 14-runner affair over 1m on his handicap bow at Kempton last month and a return to today's 1m2f distance could prove fruitful. Sir Laurence Graff and Dubai Harbour are worth a second look too.

In a trappy event, it may be worth siding with ROLYPOLYMOLY who showed plenty of promise on his first run for nearly a year and is entitled to build on that with a more experienced jockey taking over in the plate. Mr Trick shaped well when short of room at a crucial stage last time, while Sir Laurence Graff had an even rougher passage when narrowly defeated over C&D last month.

The suggestion is CARD SHARK, who was returning from an eight-month absence when third on his recent handicap debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
