14:20 Lingfield (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STAR LEGEND was on target at Chelmsford last month before following up at Catterick next time and, despite having more to do under a 5lb penalty, James Owen's in-form gelding is expected to complete the hat-trick. Gary and Josh Moore's pair Poncho and Donald Llewellyn look potential dangers. The former, who receives a welcome drop in class, could be the bigger threat of the two.

Preference is for STAR LEGEND, who completed a double at Catterick last week and may well be able to strike again under a penaty.

14:50 Lingfield (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although MIDNIGHT CITY hasn't been at his best on turf recently, a return to the all-weather could spark an improved performance. Richard Spencer's charge finds himself well handicapped from a mark of 68 and a couple of his best efforts came in the returning cheekpieces. Blewburton is 2lb better off with his Kempton conqueror Ballsgrove Boy and the pair are likely to be closely matched again. Dutch Finale, who disappointed having been well supported on his seasonal return at Nottingham, could also step forward.

Dutch Finale is still open to considerable progress but BALLSGROVE BOY (nap) won tidily last month and can defy a small rise.

15:20 Lingfield (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

First-time cheekpieces will need to work the oracle for Lazzar, who had no obvious excuse when beaten at prohibitive odds at Brighton on Monday. He will be a player should they do the trick, but it is KEYBAAR that gets the nod. The son of Earthlight shaped with considerable promise on his racecourse bow at Kempton in April and progress looks highly likely. Musical Angel and Dannick are two others to note.

The vote goes to KEYBAAR, who made a promising start with his third at Kempton in April and should improve for that experience.

15:50 Lingfield (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LAZIEELUNCH looked to be coming back to form on his second start since being gelded when third over two furlongs further at Chelmsford and, with two wins at a mile, one over C&D, he ticks plenty of boxes. Transparent pulled too hard at Goodwood before weakening late on. If Tom Marquand can get him to settle then he could mount a serious challenge, leaving handicap debutant Padua and Wolverhampton second Threatening to battle it out for the remaining podium spot.

Several have possibilities but Sir Mark Prescott's THREATNENING gets the vote ahead of Gallant and Invincible Duke.

16:25 Lingfield (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MOUNT MOGAN boasts solid form at Lingfield, with four C&D wins and plenty of placed efforts. He may not be the force of old, but he has won twice this year and was a solid third here off his current mark in April. Tea Sea drops back in trip after weakening over an extended 1m at Wolverhampton and he's now just 1lb above his last winning mark. Ruth Carr sends Touchwood south from North Yorkshire, with the booking of Oisin Murphy eye-catching.

Mount Mogan looks solid to go well but TOUCHWOOD can improve for the return to this C&D and may be the answer.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Veteran Count Otto is a standing dish here for local trainer Amanda Perrett, with a total of seven wins at the track, and he can go close off his current rating back on the Polytrack, while Bath second Maid In Chelsea is another for the shortlist in first-time cheekpieces. Both can get involved, but MESAAFI won a more valuable apprentice Handicap at Chelmsford on Sunday and gets in here without a penalty. He appeared to have a bit in hand that day and there is no obvious reason why he cannot follow up.

It is hard to get away from MESAAFI who won a competitive apprentice race at Chelmsford in fine style on Sunday.
