1st (3) (7/2 +0%)Gatineau Park |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Gatineau Park 7/2, Green and had too much to do when beaten 5l in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las last time. Effective at 2 1/2m and can improve if ridden more positively. Irish point winner; beaten under 5l when 10-1 for a 2m4f soft-ground maiden at Ffos Las. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/2 -57%)Cinquenta |
11/2(-57%) | (1) Cinquenta 11/2, Ran to form when finishing 5l third in a maiden bumper over 2m2f at Fontwell on his most recent start. Trainer in form and returns from a long layoff with a bit to find. Good enough bumper form to merit interest on this switch to hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (2/5 +45%)Giantsgrave |
2/5(+45%) | (4) Giantsgrave 2/5, Did it cosily with a very promising debut win in a bumper at Ffos Las over 2m by 4 1/2l last time. Returns from a layoff and looks the pick on balance of form. Ffos Las bumper winner; has plenty of size about him and the future looks bright. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (125/1 +0%)Fox Cottage |
125/1(+0%) | (2) Fox Cottage 125/1, Outpaced but ran to form when 24l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Fakenham last time. Effective at 2–2 1/2m but needs more to get off the mark. Brings the least convincing profile after heavy defeats in a bumper and three hurdle races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (125/1 -150%)Job Done |
125/1(-150%) | (6) Job Done 125/1, £32,000 Doyen gelding; placed in a point but has plenty to prove. Not a bad Irish point in which he ran third and then recruited for £32,000. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (22/1 -10%)Jeriko Place |
22/1(-10%) | (5) Jeriko Place 22/1, Below form when comfortably held in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Exeter last time. Returns from a long layoff and needs plenty more. First bumper run was better than the second; no doubt capable of a lot better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Second in an Irish point-to-point before winning on his Rules debut at Ffos Las in January, GIANTSGRAVE can make a seamless transition to hurdles. The son of Walk In The Park wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary but that bumper success is the best form on offer, and the Skeltons could hardly be in better form. Harry Cobden arrives for just two rides so it will be interesting to see how Jeriko Place fares, especially given that he will appreciate a switch to timber. Cinquenta heads the remainder.

Ffos Las bumper winner GIANTSGRAVE is held in some regard given Dan Skelton's complimentary bulletin in his recent Stable Tour.

1st (4) (1/1 +27%)Getaway King |
1/1(+27%) | (4) Getaway King 1/1, Improved back down in trip, winning a handicap by 2l off 86 over 2m6f at Fontwell last time; effective at around 2 1/2m and may have a bit more to offer after that success. Only 4lb higher than for recent 2l Fontwell win on stable debut in a new tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 -20%)Jorah |
4/1(-20%) | (1) Jorah 4/1, Disappointing when stepped up in trip on handicap debut, finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Chepstow last time; fairly treated on previous maiden form; a contender on chase debut. Offered little in handicap hurdles but could make a better chaser (pedigree bodes well). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/2 +10%)King Of Highways |
9/2(+10%) | (2) King Of Highways 9/2, Perhaps not suited by the ground and below form when stepped up in grade, comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m at Sandown last time; returning from a long layoff; more to come over fences; mark lenient; eveery chance. Goes chasing with low mileage on the clock and this is his handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (4/1 +0%)Diamond Days |
4/1(+0%) | (3) Diamond Days 4/1, Ran to form when 17l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Fontwell most recently; with the trainer in form, looks in the mix. Unlikely that he's that well handicapped but chasing could bring him on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (25/1 -56%)Misteroddsocks |
25/1(-56%) | (5) Misteroddsocks 25/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced, looking in need of further when down the field in a novice hurdle over 2m at Stratford most recently; likely improver up in trip on chase debut. Made the frame in a Hereford bumper but no closer than 22l in three runs over hurdles. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GETAWAY KING largely struggled when trained in Ireland but having moved to Fergal O'Brien, he wasted no time in opening his account. The seven-year-old has been raised 4lb for that Fontwell success but with an experience edge over each of his rivals, he looks to have been found another fine opportunity. Diamond Days and Jorah should both appreciate a switch to fences but, even so, may struggle to topple the selection.

The lightly raced JORAH has a pedigree to suggest he could be much better over fences than he was over hurdles.

1st (3) (5/2 +9%)Kosac D'oudairies |
5/2(+9%) | (3) Kosac D'oudairies 5/2, Well backed and did it readily, improving in a first-time hood under a positive ride when winning a maiden bumper at Ffos Las by 12l last time; returning from a long layoff and looks the pick on overall form. Galloped on relentlessly to win third bumper start on heavy at Ffos Las (first-time hood). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (2/1 +40%)Zamek |
2/1(+40%) | (8) Zamek 2/1, Promising debut when third, beaten 2 1/4l in a bumper at Chepstow; that strong form; could be a contender on hurdle debut. Third in a Chepstow bumper and open to any amount of improvement now sent over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (8/1 +20%)Legal Weapon |
8/1(+20%) | (4) Legal Weapon 8/1, No match for the winner but made a modest debut when second, beaten 34l in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; trainer in form and effective from 2m to 2m4f; a 2m bumper winner with decent form, drop in trip could suit. Hasn't kicked on from his successful bumper debut; beaten 34l into second on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (8/1 -540%)Coolkatie |
8/1(-540%) | (9) Coolkatie 8/1, 80,000 euros Flemensfirth mare; half-sister to Irish Saint, who was very smart at 2m6f; from a top trainer. 80,000euros foal; bred to be useful and she's in a top yard; seems well regarded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (10/1 -11%)Our Amigo |
10/1(-11%) | (5) Our Amigo 10/1, Made a very promising debut when 12l third in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time; effective at 2m, knew his job on debut and could progress a little further. Stoutly-bred gelding who shaped quite well over an inadequate 2m at Stratford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (125/1 -89%)Jackomy |
125/1(-89%) | (2) Jackomy 125/1, Outpaced on a modest debut when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time; may need more time to develop under rules. 40-1 for a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las (2m4f, soft) and ended up tailed off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (40/1 +50%)Roland Garros |
40/1(+50%) | (7) Roland Garros 40/1, Found little when down the field in a handicap over 12f at Newbury last time; effective from 10f to 12f, may struggle over hurdles. Although beaten 27l at Uttoxeter (2m, good), that form has worked out very well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (150/1 +25%)Hialeah |
150/1(+25%) | (1) Hialeah 150/1, Keen and probably did not stay when finishing down the field in a handicap over 11f at Dundalk last time; returning from a long layoff and needs to show plenty more. 14-race maiden on the Flat and his mark bottomed out into the 40s; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (28/1 +30%)Out Of It |
28/1(+30%) | (6) Out Of It 28/1, 27,000 euros Nirvana Du Berlais gelding; hood first time. First foal; dam pulled up in French 2m2f hurdle only start; hood fitted for debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ZAMEK shaped with promise on his debut in a Chepstow bumper before moving from the Paul Nicholls stable to Olly Murphy and might be one to keep on the right side of this term. He will appreciate the switch to hurdles and has the added advantage of Sean Bowen up top. Well-related debutant Coolkatie merits respect, although Ffos Las bumper winner Kosac D'oudairies may be a bigger threat.

Coolkatie and Kosac d'Oudairies are dangers but ZAMEK made a nice bumper debut for these owners when trained by Paul Nicholls.

1st (10) (20/1 +20%)No Tackle |
20/1(+20%) | (10) No Tackle 20/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective over 2 3/4m and suited by cut in the ground, though can be erratic. Both wins at Leicester (2m6f, soft); should improve on last run with visor back on; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 +29%)Risk De Pluie |
5/1(+29%) | (4) Risk De Pluie 5/1, Preferably needs a slightly stiffer test after finishing second, beaten 10l in a handicap chase over 2m at Wincanton last time. Returning from a long layoff and needs to improve. Winning UK pointer; three good runs over fences last term; 2m6f will suit; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (4/1 +27%)Realisation |
4/1(+27%) | (11) Realisation 4/1, Needed the run when fourth, beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Carlisle last time. Effective over 2 1/2m and acts on good ground. Bumper/hurdle winner; good second here last November; sound reappearance run; place chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/1 -10%)Immortal Fame |
11/1(-10%) | (1) Immortal Fame 11/1, Made mistakes and needed the run when fourth, beaten 30l in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Stratford last time. Effective over 2 1/2m and suited by decent ground; progressive through the winter, but the mark demands more. Two wins over 2m4f earlier this year; will improve on reappearance run (no cheekpieces). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (11/4 +21%)Followcato |
11/4(+21%) | (7) Followcato 11/4, Unseated rider in a handicap chase over 2m4f here last time. Trainer in form, effective over 2 1/2m and open to further improvement over fences. Irish point second; some fair hurdle runs but unseated at second fence here on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (8/1 +0%)High Treason |
8/1(+0%) | (5) High Treason 8/1, Had every chance but ran below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective over 2 1/2m and acts on any ground, though inconsistent over fences. Dual hurdle winner; not done quite as well over fences; should improve on reappearance run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (28/1 +15%)Moon Hunter |
28/1(+15%) | (6) Moon Hunter 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Wetherby last time. Returning from a long layoff and has a bit to find. Ex-Henry Daly; decent novice hurdler; sound chase debut, not so good since; stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (5/1 +0%)Star Of Diamonds |
5/1(+0%) | (9) Star Of Diamonds 5/1, Ran roughly to form when fourth, beaten 13l in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Chepstow last time. Returning from a long layoff and could figure. Irish point winner (form sound); fair form over hurdles; improvement expected now chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (10/1 -43%)Eureka Creek |
10/1(-43%) | (2) Eureka Creek 10/1, Made too much use of early and needed the run when 6l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Has dropped in weights and represents a value selection based on the balance of form. Ex-Emma Lavelle; creditable third over hurdles on reappearance; each-way chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (40/1 -264%)Chemical Warfare |
40/1(-264%) | (3) Chemical Warfare 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Worcester last time. Returning from a break and looks on a stiff mark. Put up 40lb for six chase wins last term; below par 3 runs this time; back after a break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Followcato didn't get very far on his chasing debut and is turned out quickly in a bid to make amends. Risk De Pluie showed an aptitude for fences during his first campaign over them, but STAR OF DIAMONDS might be better treated. Emma Lavelle's six-year-old didn't quite fulfil expectations in a three-race hurdles stint, but he beat the useful Taponthego in an Irish point-to-point so is expected to come into his own in this discipline. Sean Bowen sticks with Eureka Creek after partnering her into third over timber at Bangor.

Winning Irish pointer STAR OF DIAMONDS is taken to get off the mark on his chase/handicap debut. Immortal Fame is next best.

1st (5) (5/6 +44%)Scorpio Rising |
5/6(+44%) | (5) Scorpio Rising 5/6, Improved from debut when landing a maiden hurdle at Perth by 2 1/4l last time. Effective over 2 1/2m and handles soft ground; progressing and could advance further in handicaps. Justified favouritism in Perth maiden on reappearance; further progress is plausible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/2 +25%)Ski Lodge |
5/2(+25%) | (4) Ski Lodge 5/2, Improved markedly from debut when stepping up in trip to win a 3m maiden hurdle at Haydock by 1 1/4l last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 3m and suited by soft ground, but the form has some knocks and this mark asks more. Won maiden hurdle at Haydock last December; open to further improvement; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (12/1 -9%)Bluegrass |
12/1(-9%) | (2) Bluegrass 12/1, Won by a nose off 122 over 2m at Southwell on his penultimate start; below form when seventh, beaten 26l off 124 last time. Effective at 2m and suited by good ground, though stamina a concern up in trip. All hurdles wins over 2m; ran poorly last time and something to prove back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (10/1 -25%)Whatsupwithyou |
10/1(-25%) | (1) Whatsupwithyou 10/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last time where ran well to a point; consistent; trainer in form. Effective over 2 1/2m but this veteran is not always the most willing in a finish. Returns to calmer waters but figures lower in calculations than some unexposed rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (8/1 -7%)Another Fine Mess |
8/1(-7%) | (6) Another Fine Mess 8/1, Showed a good attitude when keen but improved on recent form to win a 2m handicap at Warwick by 3/4l off 100 last time. Returning from a long layoff; not without a chance. Opened his account in Warwick handicap when last seen; may improve further. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SCORPIO RISING showed the benefit of a summer break when making it second-time lucky over obstacles in the hands of Sean Bowen at Perth last month. The champion jockey keeps the partnership intact and Olly Murphy's grey can follow up on his handicap debut. Ski Lodge also goes handicapping on the back of a win, although that came at Haydock almost a year ago. Another Fine Mess broke through at Warwick when last seen, but he was keen so the step up from 2m may not be ideal.

Lightly raced SKI LODGE (nap) is taken to make a winning reappearance. Scorpio Rising, another handicap debutant, is feared most.

13/8(+46%) | (3) Jorebel 13/8, Scored by a neck off 96 over 2m4f at Worcester on his penultimate start; improved again when second, beaten 3l off 102 last time; remains open to further progress now chasing. Makes chase debut after a very good run of form over hurdles; career-high mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (22/1 -57%)Touquet |
22/1(-57%) | (7) Touquet 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Plumpton last time; effective at around 2½m but out of form since his debut win over hurdles. Regressing and was pulled up on chase/stable debut at Plumpton two weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (9/2 +31%)Mutual Respect |
9/2(+31%) | (8) Mutual Respect 9/2, Needed the run after a wind operation when third, beaten 10l, in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; this is his second run after the procedure; effective over 2m on soft or good ground and on his last winning mark, so could build on that effort. 3-15 over fences; might strip fitter for his Bangor run which followed wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (8/1 -60%)Irish Chorus |
8/1(-60%) | (4) Irish Chorus 8/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 8l, in a maiden hurdle at Ayr last time; would've won but for falling previously; can make amends off lenient mark on chase debut. Jumping issues over hurdles but had ability; brings potential into her chasing career. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (40/1 -122%)Glajou |
40/1(-122%) | (5) Glajou 40/1, Had no obvious excuse when finishing down the field in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Stratford on latest start; blinkers fitted for the first time; effective from 2m to 2½m but has been in modest form since a layoff. Regressed since a promising return from an absence; blinkers replace cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (22/1 -38%)Big Jimbo |
22/1(-38%) | (9) Big Jimbo 22/1, Scored by a length off 84 over 2m2f at Fontwell three runs back; outpaced and never threatened when sixth, beaten 10l off 87 last time; effective at around 2m and fairly treated on old hurdle form but remains inconsistent. Won a weak race on chase debut and hasn't genuinely threatened in races since then. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (3/1 +54%)Rocks Up Late |
3/1(+54%) | (6) Rocks Up Late 3/1, Scored by 1/4l off 97 over 2m1f at Worcester three starts ago; every chance but a bit below form when third, beaten 21l off 100 last time; effective at 2m and generally consistent, though the handicapper may have his measure. 4-7 over fences; cheekpieces on for last two defeats now removed; still on a workable mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (28/1 -273%)Yarborough |
28/1(-273%) | (10) Yarborough 28/1, Fell in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Fontwell last time; effective at 10-12f on the Flat and 2m over jumps; appears regressive on the Flat and has a bit to prove over fences. Limited on the Flat and over hurdles; didn't get far on chase debut last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (8/1 -23%)No No Fizz |
8/1(-23%) | (1) No No Fizz 8/1, Needed the run on chase debut when third, beaten 10l, in a handicap chase at Fakenham on latest outing; effective over 2m on good ground and generally consistent. Dual hurdle winner; might be on a tough mark and was last of three on switch to fences. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JOREBEL's winning spree came to an end at Plumpton, but he probably bumped into a rival that little bit better handicapped. There was certainly no disgrace in finishing second and Chris Gordon's six-year-old could have more to offer now he goes chasing. No No Fizz was last of three at Fakenham on her chasing bow, but that did come after an absence so better is expected. Rocks Up Late was a solid third at Worcester, but seems to reserve his best for that track. Mutual Respect occupied the same position after wind surgery at Bangor and could be the chief threat.

A few with chances in an open race but MUTUAL RESPECT has compiled a solid record over fences and he can improve for his Bangor run.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
