The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SOVEREIGN WEALTH showed improvement in first-time blinkers to finish second over this trip at Chelmsford on Wednesday and goes off an unchanged rating. If in similar form, the son of Frankel can help Ryan Moore make his first ride back a successful one. Blue Nguru has shown ability in her three starts in maiden company and has to be considered up in trip on her nursery bow for the in-form Archie Watson team. Chale Chalo looks best of the rest.

A trappy nursery. BLUE NGURU is bred to appreciate both 7f and AW and she can score by getting the better of Sovereign Wealth.

Returns from a short break; effective at 6f on the all-weather and should improve on stable debut. Well-beaten second over C&D on debut seven weeks ago; sold for 8,000gns and gelded since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (13/2 -63%)Seven Fires |
13/2(-63%) | (5) Seven Fires 13/2, £40,000 Sioux Nation filly whose dam is an unraced half-sister to useful 8–10f winner Claim The Crown. Represents a good yard and warrants consideration on debut in a weak race. £40,000 yearling; first foal of unraced half-sister to two useful winners; 6f too sharp?. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (125/1 -681%)Potters Prince |
125/1(-681%) | (3) Potters Prince 125/1, A bit keen but improved on a moderate debut when fourth, beaten 5l in a 7f novice at Chelmsford last time. Bred to be effective around 8f; faces a stiff task, though this looks a weak race. Second run was better than his debut but further progress is essential. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Tokyo Joe and Lazzar only have 1lb separating them in the ratings and both possess plenty of experience to go to war with, but the one that appeals most is KYOTO. The son of Inns Of Court shaped with promise when finishing a well-beaten second on his first start over C&D in October and has been gelded since. If he can take a step forward from that display, he will prove hard to beat.

A race to tread carefully with. LAZZAR is tentatively preferred to Tokyo Joe.

10th (1) (5/1 -186%)See Paris |
5/1(-186%) | (1) See Paris 5/1, Best form since February tried in visor when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 55 over 12f at Newcastle last time; usually held up; effective 8-12f in Germany, acts on Hy, GS, AW; may have more to come. Put some modest form behind him when scoring at Newcastle; respected under a 5lb penalty.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SEE PARIS relished the step up in trip when sporting a first-time visor to record his first success in the UK recently. Despite having a 5lb penalty to contend with, he might be up to the task. Nasim failed in his hat-trick bid when finishing an underwhelming ninth here in October, but he might be worth another chance. Of the remainder, Fascinating Shadow makes the most appeal.

See Paris hasn't previously backed up a win and it may be worth taking him on with KOKO BLUE.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (150/1 -88%)Dizziwizzbang |
150/1(-88%) | (10) Dizziwizzbang 150/1, Again ran to a modest level when down the field in a Chelmsford handicap most recently. Blinkers on for the first time. Yet to find suitable conditions and looks exposed as poor. Big prices and well beaten in all completed starts under both codes.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TARANJERINE sprung a 22/1 surprise to score by a length at Chelmsford on Wednesday and might take another step forward. The son of Make Believe makes just his third outing in a handicap and will prove a tough nut to crack. Arenas Del Tiempo returned to winning ways at the same venue in August and holds an obvious chance with Luke Morris back in the plate. Jack Langley is the pick of the remainder.

The suggestion is JACK LANGLEY, who is proven here and can make the most of the return to shorter.

5/6(+52%) | (8) Supplicate 5/6, Lost chance after a terrible start but ran creditably to finish 5l behind in a Kempton novice on debut. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (14/1 +30%)Spirit Of Athene |
14/1(+30%) | (7) Spirit Of Athene 14/1, Badly needed the experience when well beaten in a Chelmsford novice on debut. Trainer in form; bred for middle distances and looks a long-term project. Should build on debut run at some point but others have more appealing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (8/1 -300%)Evening Fades |
8/1(-300%) | (3) Evening Fades 8/1, 2 Mar; Ulysses filly; half-sister to Group 2 winner Lights On, best at 8f including on AW, and Group 3 scorer Karar, effective 7/8f; dam smart at 10f; wide draw but likely go well on debut for top yard. Half-sister to five winners, two of them at Group level; dam useful; obvious paper claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (50/1 -178%)Somethingintheair |
50/1(-178%) | (11) Somethingintheair 50/1, Much improved from debut when making plenty of use of herself, beaten 5l in a 7f novice here last time. Effective over 7f and open to a bit more improvement. Ran okay over 7f here last month; 1m should suit but she needs improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (8/1 +64%)Maria Da Silva |
8/1(+64%) | (5) Maria Da Silva 8/1, Very green and barely raised a gallop when well beaten in a 7f Newmarket auction race on debut. From a top course trainer and drawn wide; likely a type for low-grade handicaps. Struggled in face of a stiff task on debut in October; this more suitable but drawn widest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (10/1 +60%)Adores |
10/1(+60%) | (1) Adores 10/1, Showed some promise on debut when beaten 7 1/4l in a Kempton maiden. Bred for 7/8f and a strong, workmanlike type who should improve. Nibbled at in the betting on recent Kempton debut (1m) and hinted at ability; can improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (28/1 -250%)Miss Malone To You |
28/1(-250%) | (6) Miss Malone To You 28/1, 25 Mar; Ulysses filly; half-sister to Ascot Gold Cup winner Big Orange; dam useful at 7f; respected on debut for good yard. Half-sister to Gold Cup winner Big Orange amongst others; betting should provide clues. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (9/2 +63%)Sweep In Time |
9/2(+63%) | (12) Sweep In Time 9/2, Solid effort when just tiring late, beaten 8 1/4l in a Kempton novice on debut. Wide draw but bred for middle distances and should come on for that initial outing. Shaped with more promise than the finishing position suggests on debut (1m, AW); do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (18/1 -200%)Exquisite Skye |
18/1(-200%) | (4) Exquisite Skye 18/1, Caught well back but produced a good effort up in trip when a length third in a 9f Wolverhampton maiden last time. Effective just shy of 8f and could progress with a clearer run. Third on each of her three starts; capable of better; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (300/1 -200%)Lesley Buckley |
300/1(-200%) | (10) Lesley Buckley 300/1, Showed little when well beaten in a 7f novice here on debut. Looked limited initially but should improve with experience. Well held at 200-1 on her debut here 13 days ago (7f); hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (300/1 -200%)Echo That |
300/1(-200%) | (2) Echo That 300/1, Always outpaced when well beaten in a 7f Chelmsford novice on only start. Likely to appreciate at least this trip; a strong sort but looked limited on debut. Offered little on her Chelmsford debut five weeks ago (7f; 80-1). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Exquisite Skye and Sweep In Time are the pick of those with race experience but the level they set isn't very high. With that in mind, preference is for EVENING FADES, who is a half-sister to two Group winners and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye. Miss Malone To You is also well related and is another newcomer to consider.

Evening Fades boasts strong paper claims but SUPPLICATE has the benefit of a run and that Kempton effort was encouraging.

16/1(-45%) | (9) Wilhelmina 16/1, Ran to form, strong at finish when down in trip beaten 1/2l off 74 over 8f at Kempton last time; effective at 8/9f, acts on G, AW; interesting up in trip. Runner-up on last two starts; up in class/trip; stable form a positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (25/1 -233%)Music Piece |
25/1(-233%) | (4) Music Piece 25/1, Ran to form down in trip when beaten 3l off 84 over 12f at Newbury last time; top course trainer; effective 8-12f, acts on S, G; drop in trip not certain to suit. Hard to fault her consistency this year but she'll need a burst of progress to take this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (80/1 -220%)Helmsley |
80/1(-220%) | (3) Helmsley 80/1, Improved to get off the mark when landing a novice at Redcar by 5 1/2l last time. Effective at 8-10f and acts on all-weather. Yet to run on turf and has more to offer now handicapping for new yard. Easy win at Redcar (1m2f) in October; sold for 45,000gns 2 days later; vulnerable up 12lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (8/1 -7%)Suzette Defoye |
8/1(-7%) | (8) Suzette Defoye 8/1, Yard has won last two runnings of race; bit below form beaten 7l in a handicap at Nottingham last time; trainer in form; effective 8-10f, acts on, GS, AW; could do better back on AW. Looked promising at Southwell last December; held in two turf runs since; return to AW a +. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

In a wide-open event, marginal preference is for the unexposed WINTER FLOWER. The three-year-old was second on her handicap bow at Newcastle a month ago and can defy a 3lb higher mark here, given that the winner of that contest has won again since. True Colors had plenty in hand when scoring at Wolverhampton last time and is an obvious danger. Others to consider are Wilhelmina, Quamby and Morrophore.

The return to AW could see SUZETTE DEFOYE tap back into the promise of her debut win last December.

9/1(+25%) | (9) Flag Of St George 9/1, Below form when the ground was too deep in a Doncaster handicap most recently. Wide draw; effective at 7–8f and acts on all-weather; capable off this mark. Had a ground excuse last time; suspicion others are better treated though. |

28/1(-180%) | (4) Gallant 28/1, Had plenty to do when beaten 4 1/2l in a Chester handicap last time. Effective at 7–8f and acts on all-weather; could do better this time. 2-3 on AW for A Balding; sold 60,000gns in July & gelded; new yard (first runner) fit hood. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DIAMONDONTHEHILL bounced back to form when a close third over 7f at Wolverhampton last week and the seven-year-old could take some stopping off the same mark here. The recent Kempton winner Society Man is only 2lb higher on this occasion and has to be noted as a result, while Dapper Guest edges out Arctic Dawn and Gallant to be best of the rest.

A competitive handicap in which SOCIETY MAN, who ran on strongly at Kempton last time, can defy his small rise in the weights.

40/1(+0%) | (12) Sarabi 40/1, Well below form when beaten 10l in a Wolverhampton handicap last time; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; needs to bounce back. C&D winner but has a patchy profile and looks vulnerable again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Lahina Bay has won twice in recent months, the most recent of which came over C&D last week, but a 5lb penalty could leave her vulnerable on this occasion. As a result, preference is for GOLDMOYNE, who showed plenty of promise when finishing third on his debut for these connections over 7f at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. The drop in trip mark spark further improvement and he is clearly on a workable mark. Pinjarra is another recent winner to consider.

Lahina Bay and Goldmoyne are contenders but NORDIC GLORY has a better draw today and can bounce back from a blip last time.

11/2(+8%) | (2) Ziggy's Triton 11/2, Ran to form, closing well at the line when beaten 2l off 75 here last time; suited by 5f, acts on all-weather; respected from this mark. Two turf wins in small fields in the summer; good 4th over C&D last month; each-way claims. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (11/2 0%)Mick's Spirit |
11/2(0%) | (8) Mick's Spirit 11/2, Scored by 2 1/4l off 60 here penultimate start and ran to form when third last time; suited by 5f, acts on all-weather; has a chance again. Multiple C&D winner; often front-runs; comes here in form but may be unable to dominate. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SOLAR EDGE relished the return to this venue when a neck second over C&D a couple of weeks ago and he merits plenty of respect off a 2lb higher mark. Beaumadier won impressively at Wolverhampton last time but a 10lb rise looks rather harsh and may mean that the recent Southwell second Toolatetonegotiate provides the biggest danger to the selection.

The well-treated MC LOVEN (nap) could take some pegging back from stall 1. Ziggy's Triton is feared most.
Ths is the racecard key.
